If you enjoy Middle Eastern food, this might be the place for you. Our experience was utter chaos. Appetizers we ordered never arrived, and later, the wrong appetizers were served with the main course (though I didn't have to pay for them). The taste was just okay, barely tolerable, but far from delicious. Apparently, others like it... but it wasn't for me, which is a shame.

There's something for everyone here. All vegetarian and vegan dishes are clearly marked on the menu. The food is so delicious! All the staff are incredibly friendly and happy to answer any questions. The cuisine is traditional. I really love the Arabic ambiance. Reservations are a must!

We had a fantastic culinary journey through Syrian cuisine in a beautiful and cozy setting with a truly welcoming atmosphere. We had a reservation for six people, and even though the restaurant was quite full, we never had to wait long for our friendly and attentive service. We savored the diverse specialties, and each dish was unique and memorable. Small special requests were easily accommodated. This was our first time at Xoxo, and we'll definitely be back. The price was absolutely fair, and our expectations were more than exceeded! Thank you so much for the wonderful culinary experience, and best regards to the entire team.

Yesterday, we went there for the first time in the evening (usually we only have lunch) as a group of four. All the appetizers and main courses were delicious. Okay, the oriental-spiced rice was just okay... but we happily accepted the discount voucher without any complaints. We'll definitely be back sometime.

This was our first time eating at XoXo. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and there was a wide selection of typical Syrian dishes. We were also pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally large number of vegetarian and vegan options. We'll definitely be back.

It's certainly not Michelin-starred cuisine, but anyone who enjoys Middle Eastern food will be in heaven. Despite the extensive menu, everything looks freshly prepared and tastes delicious. The service is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and refined (some German waitstaff could learn a thing or two here about what good service should be). This will definitely be one of my go-to restaurants in Frankenthal from now on.

Delicious food, well presented. If you value alcohol, this isn't the place for you, but the homemade lemonade, teas, etc. are highly recommended. However, our reservation, which we had made a few weeks earlier, was lost. Luckily, we arrived quite early, otherwise it would have been more difficult with 11 adults and a toddler.

We visited for the first time last night thanks to our gourmet block. We received a very warm welcome and sat outside. The servers were always friendly and accommodating. The two homemade lemonades were delicious (elderberry + lime mint), and the food was also delicious; we had the kebab halibi and the vegetable kebab. Both are highly recommended. At the end, we had tea, and they gave us a free dessert. We will definitely be back!

So inconspicuous from the outside. Luckily, it was recommended. The food was great – with a wide selection for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. The iced tea was good too. The appetizer and grill plates were too much. I would have liked to try the dessert plates as well. But it definitely won't be my last time there. I'd be happy to come back.

This was the best lamb dish I have eaten in the area so far

A very successful restaurant with an IDEAL location (formerly "Penny") in Frankenthal's pedestrian zone. Beautifully decorated. Stylish in the spirit of Maghreb chic. The servers are attentive and consistently friendly. The kitchen works quickly. You get good portions for your money. Now for the taste and quality. Unfortunately, I can only give it a 3, as there's still plenty of room for improvement (but with a monopoly position, you don't necessarily have to put too much emphasis on that). There are MUCH better Syrian restaurants not too far away with fresher and better prepared food. Tip: search on Google Maps.

We have been here twice with the whole family, both times it was closed even though the opening hours said it should have been open.

We were here on a Monday evening. There's plenty of parking in the area. We received a very friendly welcome. The restaurant was busy, but everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, especially the meat dishes. We had baba ghanoush as a starter, the grilled platter, and other dishes like the sandwich for the main course. I reserved a table by phone about an hour before our visit – it went smoothly. When we arrived, the food was served in about 10 minutes. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious! The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Another plus point: There is parking directly in front of the restaurant. However, please note that a valid parking permit is required. The restrooms were also clean and well-maintained – which is always an important detail for me. One small suggestion for improvement would be updating the menu on the website, as there were minor changes on-site. However, this didn't detract from our overall positive impression. I give full marks for the food and service – my expectations were completely met. A great experience, we'd gladly go back. Thank you! 😊

Today was our first visit to the XOXO city restaurant in Frankenthal. We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered. We were seated freely for two. We then read the menu from top to bottom. After asking what they would recommend, the waiter said, "Since this is your first time with us, I'd recommend the grilled platter for two. It includes a salad and a mixed starter plate!" And...? We were not disappointed. The aroma of various spices, the taste of the creams (dips), the meat, incredibly delicious, and we were both stuffed afterwards. We recommend it and will come back for dinner often. Also in the afternoon for the Arabic mocha and dessert. Thank you for this enriching experience. Addendum!!! We were there again at the end of June. We called at lunchtime and reserved a table for two at 7:30 p.m. It was strange; they're always fully booked, so reserve at least a week in advance. We arrived at the said time and the place was completely empty, except for two women outside having drinks. We ordered drinks and food. Fruit water with fresh fruit. Tasted like tap water with 2-3 pieces of fruit in it, not even cold. The starter for two, which was supposed to be warm, was cold. 4 falafel were extremely greasy and lacked any seasoning. The minced lamb skewers were bland and overcooked. The fried potato slices were oily and mushy. Grilled eggplant with bulgur and lamb goulash had no flavor, lots of bulgur and sauce, and 4 pieces of lamb goulash. We shelled out €65 for the whole thing. Perhaps the home delivery service is responsible? In the 1.5 hours we were there, the phone rang at least 20 times for a delivery service. We definitely won't be coming back. What a shame!!!

Guys you should never put some other food that wasn’t ordered and charge in full for that without letting a client know, that’s awful. I’ve got a phone call but wasn’t available for 15 minutes, after calling back no one was there, that’s fine. But then why a driver didn’t told me that my order is changed? That’s a waste of food that goes straight into trash bin. Also the whole bag was spilled with sugar syrup

We wanted two different drinks from the menu, but neither was available. We wanted a dry red wine, but got a sweet one. We then ordered an appetizer platter for two people, but it was completely vegan. We wanted it garnished. We weren't asked.

We sat outside and had two main courses, Arayes Toushka and the Grill Mix Plate. The service was a bit slow but polite, the food was delicious and the portions were relatively large. The food appears to be of high quality and the prices are reasonable. Afterwards there was coffee/tea on the house with a small, very tasty dessert. Intolerances are also taken into account.

Service poor, food good. Unfortunately the overall experience can only be rated with 3 stars. We had reservations for 12 people. We as “hosts” arrived a few minutes early to announce ourselves. We were first left standing there for a good 10 minutes with the words “I have to take a look”. Then I took a very leisurely look at what was going on. There wasn't much going on. Later some of us had to wait almost 40 minutes for drinks. After all, it was around 30 degrees. The service sometimes didn't even know the dishes that were brought to us. The bill has also been a long time coming. The politeness wasn't excessive, but at least it wasn't unfriendly. The food was all fresh and tasty, nothing to complain about. Overall, the experience suffered greatly. Unfortunately it was my first and last time eating there. Too bad!

Somehow nobody feels like working 😂. Service?... So much cartilage in the meat, doesn't eat... It's a shame... we left the mocha after a sip, it doesn't taste good and smells like sauna infusion... If you as a team would like to take a lunch break, then please close the shop during this time - that doesn't interest me as a paying customer. When we visited, there was no one there except for a couple, and later we were even alone in the restaurant. Nevertheless, we had to wait over 10 minutes for a menu because apparently no one knew who was in charge. I was only able to order my mocha because I ended up having to walk back to where you were taking your break. Do you really think that's okay? The fact that you as a guest are not served while employees walk around the guest room with their cell phones and shoot Instagram videos does not seem professional or appreciative. The fact that I said on site that “everything was fine” was purely polite, as is often the case. I simply didn't have time to wait twice as long for a new portion just to see if you could do a better job with the meat. The fact that you didn't pay attention to the almost untouched mocha or the plates also says a lot. If you can't handle criticism, it might be better to turn off Google Reviews altogether. I formulated my feedback objectively and concisely. You could have simply taken it in a sporty way. But well, here you have your detailed answer. A.S

We've eaten here a few times and always come home satisfied! The food is very well seasoned, the meat is soft and buttery, a dream 😍. The dips for the appetizers are all incredibly delicious, and all the food is simply fantastic. You can tell it's a family-run place and that a lot of effort is put into it. The staff, as always, are very friendly, attentive, and courteous. The restrooms are always clean! I highly recommend it to everyone ❤️❤️ Oh, we've even had food delivered and the food arrived piping hot, so I think you deserve more than 5 stars. Stay the way you are 👍👍👍👍

Wow, what an oriental / culinary delight. We ended up here because of the gourmet block and the good reviews and were not disappointed. Had the numbers 50 and 51, i.e. lamb skewer and M Grill mix plate selected. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious mocha. We can recommend it without hesitation.

After 15 minutes, we approached a waiter and pointed out that ALL of the guests who had arrived after us had already received their menus and, in some cases, their drinks. Slightly annoyed, he actually brought us the menus and ordered our drinks. They actually arrived promptly. Unfortunately, we then had to wait another 20 minutes until another employee asked us if we wanted to order food. When we said yes, he took the menus and was only seen walking by. The other guests who followed had already received their food. Another uneventful quarter of an hour later, we approached the staff and asked for the bill. The drinks were on the house.
