Absolutely centrally located hotel in a venerable half-timbered house with nostalgic charm and an upscale ambience and service.

The hotel is beautifully located in the old town. We arrived without a car. The building is very impressive. It's the oldest in town. You can tell that a lot of love went into maintaining this house. The old thing has been preserved, but that doesn't make it look old-fashioned. Rooms are cozy, super large bathroom. The staircase is exceptional and the breakfast room is a lovely mix of old and new. The breakfast buffet is also very good. The only downside for us is the mattresses, both of us woke up with severe back pain. Still a very nice, stylish hotel!

Beautiful hotel, unfortunately it is currently being moved with scaffolding, so that the actually beautiful view of the market square is more like a view from a prison. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned in any way beforehand.

everything great. House currently undergoing "facade renovation", so a few lamps shine at night. But there are blackout curtains that keep out almost everything. The rich breakfast, the beautiful building and the very friendly staff in the breakfast room and at the reception... but also the cleaning fairies were great. Everything was fine. Thanks!"

Have stayed, celebrated and dined here a few times now. The dishes are always very tasty and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The staff is nice and accommodating. The rooms are well equipped. Spending time here has a “come home” feel to it

The hotel has a certain charm and has been restored with attention to detail. But UNFORTUNATELY the breakfast is not worthy of such a hotel location.... 4 days the same offer of sausage and cheese... At the weekly market you can get such delicious cheese and delicious sausage. And when you see how besieged the bakery carts are at the market... You should switch from Lidl as a breakfast supplier to regional providers... If you want to eat well... We can only recommend the BERGL at Schulgasse 4... Super great staff and super good Austrian cuisine... We had a lovely evening there...

Went there for a crime dinner. Simply great. Very tasty food, very friendly and attentive service. Great actors who did the crime dinner. Only to recommend.

Centrally located and a good starting point for city tours

Very nice hotel with flair. A house that is more than 800 years old and has been very well restored with great attention to detail. Technically at a very good level without affecting the history of the house. Very friendly and courteous staff. The cuisine is excellent and offers something for every taste. I would stay here again at any time.

Historic building in a historic setting - great. Centrally located. The rooms were very inviting and clean my room had a beautiful stucco ceiling and a restored historic door to the sleeping area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was rich (tip: Nuremberg sausages) and the lunch was very tasty. Absolutely recommended.

I had very nice days there. The hotel is very quaint and authentically historic. My room had a direct view of the market square. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant offers delicious delicacies.

Jochen Schweizer gave me a weekend as a gift. I've never been to the area before and I have to say it was well worth it. It's a great place and the hotel was also very, very nice. We had a huge bedroom. We looked out on the market side. What a great view. Unfortunately, no one had told us that they would start setting up the market stalls at 6 a.m. That was actually a bit loud and disturbing. The church, for example, didn't bother us. The voucher included a 3-course meal on the day of arrival. This was ok, but I would have expected more. The staff was super friendly. You were really nice. Many thanks to you. Great, cozy hotel with historical charm. Located in a prime location on the city's living room, the market square. Befitting a house with history, you will find all sorts of things to discover here. It's also strange that everything is a bit crooked and crooked. You can feel the history of the building with every step you take. The friendly and uncomplicated reception upon arrival is also positive. Clear recommendation.

We had a delicious meal there at the weekend. Corn poularde was delicious and the vegetables were also fantastic.

The hotel is very centrally located directly on the outside staircase. You can view the rehearsals from here. The rooms and the service were all very good. Can only recommend it.

It was a nice hotel located in a historical wooden frame building. Parking right in front of hotel. Dogs welcome. Room was decent, good size. Modern bathroom. Downside was no air conditioning, and it was needed in July. Breakfast was good, had enough to eat, although they don't refill, so take what you want or start earlier. Very friendly staff. Restaurant also located on site for traditional dinner.

Very nice staff. We were able to store bicycles easily in the garage. Rooms very spacious, a bit old-fashioned, but fits the flair. The bathroom is very small but clean. The sink is mini, could be larger and also had an ugly crack. Location is 1 A. Breakfast was OK. I might have been happy with something sweet at the end. I thought fresh fruit with yogurt was great!

We stayed in this hotel for one night as part of our cycling trip. We were welcomed very friendly and courteously. There is a garage for bicycles where you can also charge your e-bikes. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. I would particularly like to praise the entire staff; it is rare to be treated so kindly and courteously these days. We forgot a shirt in the room and they even sent it to us If we come to this area again we would choose this hotel again

Romantic, beautiful hotel with very old buildings right on the market square. We were there for the annual meeting with three couples. Service very accommodating. Luggage service (no elevator). Very quiet. Hardly anything to be heard from the market even on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Good breakfast, some salmon would be nice. Food okay. Parking possible directly in front of the house (7 p. day). Is a recommendation.

Nice big portions, the food was very tasty. Unfortunately the hot chocolate was very small and quite cold, a bit disappointing for the price.

We were warmly welcomed into the hotel. Our room on the 2nd floor was very spacious and nice. We had a direct view of the market square and St. Michael's Church with the impressive staircase. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and the service is excellent. We really enjoyed the three-course menu included in the package. Schwäbisch Hall is definitely worth a trip and we can highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Goldener Adler. We were completely satisfied and would like to thank the entire Golden Eagle team very much.

I can “only” speak for the service and the restaurant, but both were extremely good. 4 stars only because I couldn't test the hotel.

The food on the so-called “terrace menu” is unworthy of your location and your house. Really poor quality frozen schnitzel, deep fried as "Brauhausschnitzel" with fries for 20 euros and "Schupfnudelsalat" with pickled carrot strips from a jar, plus a children's portion, which is exactly what I get at every "fried food stall" - only half cheaper . The Radler was also stale...The service ladies are committed and friendly. Overall, nice location and good service staff - the kitchen for the terrace is of no standard!

Wir waren von Montag bis Mittwoch da und es war traumhaft schön und viel zu kurz. Das Hotel ist wirklich schön und der Alte Stiel des Hauses wurde auf eine sehr schöne Art und Weise Erhalten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war wirklich lecker und ausreichend. Am Abend hatten wir ein sehr leckeres 3 Gänge Menü. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder her.

Wunderbares, familiengeführtes Hotel mit Gastronomiebetrieb. Freundlicher Empfang beim unkomplizierten Check-In und gutes Essen (in unserem Fall Abendessen: Wildschweinbraten aus der Keule mit herrlicher hausgemachter Soße und Rotkraut, vegaterische Maultaschen). Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Marktplatz gebucht, der im Besonderen bei weihnachtlicher Beleuchtung wunderschön ist. Für uns uneingeschränkt weiterzuempfehlen.

Wir haben ein langes Wochenende im Adler verbracht.Hatten einen Gutschein über Mydays gekauft. Mit einem Abendessen und Komfortzimmer DeLuxe. Buchung hat super geklappt. Eine tolle Lage des Hotels, direkt am Weihnachtsmarkt. Das Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Opullente Stuck an der Decke…siehe Fotos, ist warscheinlich nicht jedermanns Sache sein, aber uns hat es gefallen. Fast bei jedem Schritt hat der Boden gequietscht, das ist das Alter …und die Geister des Hauses(-: Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Das Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt, oder Handtücher gewechselt. Auf dem Bett lag ein Zettel mit dem Vermerk, das die Zimmer nur am dritten Tag gereinigt werden, da sind wir schon abgereist. Ich habe das vorher auf der Homepage nirgends gelesen. Da ist der Preis doch anders zu kalkulieren. Wir hatten einen Kaffepadmaschine auf dem Zimmer , die nicht funktionierte, wurde aber sehr schnell wieder aktiviert. Zwei Pikkolos waren auf dem Zimmer mit Gläser… . Waren leider nicht gekühlt. Besser Idee wäre einen Flasche Rotwein, oder passend zum Wochenende, einen Gutschein für einen Glühwein, auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt. Die eigenen Parklplätze am Haus sind wegen des Weihnachtsmarktes weggefallen. Hatten deswegen 32€ Parkgebühren für die drei Tage. Auf Anfrage, sagte man uns einen anderen Parkplatz, der aber die gleichen Preise hatte. Nachher , haben wir gesehen, hätte es schon viel günstigere Parkmöglichkeiten gegeben. Beim Frühstück und Abendessen hätte die Aufmerksamkeit schon besser sein können. Beim Frühstück, am Stammtisch, war es immer kalt, weil auch die Heizung aus war, und die Türe zum Treppenhaus offen war. Würden das Haus trotzdem für einen Kurztrip empfehlen.
