This venerable hotel enjoys a wonderful central location in the old town. Charming old alleyways, St. Michael's Church, the Kocher River with its island and weir, and the Würth Art Gallery are all easily accessible on foot. The rooms and hallways have been tastefully and lovingly renovated. The restaurant is located in a large hall with a very pleasant atmosphere and fair prices. Overall, we highly recommend this lovely hotel and its restaurant.

A lovely, quaint hotel. The floors in the room, hallway, and stairwell are slightly uneven, which I personally find quite interesting and amusing. Everything was clean. The service was incredibly friendly. The breakfast was perfectly adequate. Despite being right in the city center, it was quiet at night. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and good food

We went there with the family for a meal. But you rarely find such friendly and attentive staff. Our respect! The food was great, only the sauce for the duck wasn't quite right. However, the red cabbage and dumplings were superb.

The hotel was really lovely and in a fantastic location. Regarding the restaurant, I have to say the portions could have been a bit larger; we had an appetizer, and then my husband and I had dessert because I wasn't quite full. But otherwise, everything was perfect.

We chose Schwäbisch Hall for this year's family reunion, and my suggestion, the Hotel Goldener Adler, was chosen. The preparations for our 25-person group went extremely well with Ms. Nisa Gülcü. A separate room was reserved for us for breakfast and dinner. This was ideal for us, especially given the number of children, and I think also for the other guests of the hotel and restaurant. The hotel is very centrally located, and the one-time parking fee of €10 for the municipal parking lot above the church is also reasonable. We all loved the idea of ​​not changing towels every day and having a housekeeper there, and we welcome such a practice. At home, you don't change your towels every day either ;-) Our group had mixed opinions about the food itself. What struck me personally was that, for example, the dessert "Filled Cream Puff with Pumpkin Cream, Pumpkin Parfait, Pumpkin Seeds, and Fruit" was overpriced at €13.90. Here, you get a narrow glass plate with a cream puff and a tiny amount of fruit. Honestly, at €8.90, this would have been worth it at best. Due to the restaurant's prices, this is only 4 stars instead of 5. Now I come to the service of the staff: Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. But dear management, the absolute highlight of your staff is Ms. Gianna Cammardella!!! We were all impressed on both evenings with how confidently, calmly, and comprehensively she served us. Especially on Friday evening, when the rest of the restaurant was also full and the kitchen had some organizational problems. Ms. Cammardella's natural manner left a very good, lasting impression on all of us, and we enjoyed being her guests. Especially in these times, when good staff are in high demand in the restaurant industry, you can be more than happy to have such a great employee on board your team! So please be kind to her and continue to support your employee. All future guests, and even we at a later date, will thank you! In short, we felt very comfortable in your establishment! A very beautiful and lovingly renovated hotel right on the market square. I stayed for one night. I booked a superior single room with breakfast, but I got a suite with a double bed and an extra room, quietly located facing the inner courtyard. Breakfast included everything I wanted. The staff deserves extra stars; everyone was super nice. I'd gladly return.

We're currently on vacation here and managed to snag a table in the restaurant. We were completely satisfied. The humorous and very attentive waiter took wonderful care of us. He literally read our every wish from our lips. Furthermore, the food was absolutely delicious and good value for money.

Disappointing, we won't be staying again. We had a comfort room, but there was no sign of comfort. Old furniture; only the bathroom was modernized, but without a window. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties due to the many stairs and no elevator. Breakfast was good, staff friendly. Expected better for the price. Please factor in the €20 parking fee in the parking garage. Better to book a hotel with parking.

We were here for the festival. Parking near the hotel in public lots seems to be free. You just have to look to see where there's space. All the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. I think the reception is only open until 10:00 PM (it might be earlier). There's a vending machine next to the reception, selling drinks and small items, which you can use for cash. The hotel seems clean. The rooms (our room) are somewhat sparsely furnished, with a small bathroom (due to the construction), and no air conditioning. I would recommend that on performance days, the reception be staffed after the end of the performance on the grand staircase (around 10:30 PM), even if staffing is limited. Guests all come back to the hotel at once, wanting drinks, having questions, etc., creating a real commotion. We had a room facing the church and had to listen to the loud commotion of the hotel guests sitting on the terrace until 2:15 a.m. The hotel can't do anything about this, but it's absolutely unacceptable. Then, for example, the terrace would have to be closed/dismantled after 11 p.m. Breakfast was fine; a little more attention to detail with decorated cold cuts and cheese platters, a wider selection of rolls (not just wheat and mini-grains), and a bit more visual appeal when setting up the buffet would have been nice and hardly added any extra work.

Centrally located and a good starting point for sightseeing. We stayed here for the second time in August 2025. The rating is the same. This time, we went on bike rides along the Kocher River. We also attended a performance on the steps right next to the hotel. We also used it as an overnight stay for a visit to the Mawell Resort. We can 100% recommend the hotel.

We experienced Schwäbisch Hall as a very beautiful town that, on the one hand, has managed to preserve its medieval charm, but on the other hand, has embraced modernity in every respect; cozy and worth living in.

Unfortunately, we only stayed at the beautiful Stadtgut Hotel for a weekend and really enjoyed it. We had a great room overlooking the beautiful market square. The entire staff was so kind and friendly, even to our blind dog. The manager was also very nice. The breakfast was very good, and it was refilled very quickly, so there was plenty for everyone until the end. We highly recommend the hotel; thank you for a wonderful stay.

Civil Wedding Ceremony We celebrated our civil wedding at the Goldener Adler Inn and are completely satisfied and happy! From the initial consultation to the decorating and the actual day, everything went smoothly. The warm personality of the chef and the friendly and helpful nature of all the staff created a homely atmosphere where you can't help but feel at home! All the service staff went out of their way to accompany us throughout our day, were always helpful, and everything was timed perfectly! The champagne reception on the terrace in the sunshine on the most beautiful market square was outstanding and enjoyed by all the guests. The strawberry spritz and Adrian's lemonade are especially recommended. The food in the hall was outstanding and offered a fantastic selection for all guests. The roast beef with onions, the chicken with Pommery mustard crust, and the homemade Maultaschen (ravioli) with all the trimmings were particularly delicious. The duet of white and brown chocolate mousse was a dream. The day was so beautifully rounded off and accompanied by the inn! We would celebrate there again anytime and highly recommend it for overnight stays, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The venue is especially suitable for a smooth and convenient wedding ceremony if the ceremony is held in the town hall across the street! I Had a lovely stay at the Goldener Adler in Schwäbische Hall. The staff was so helpful and professional. When I checked in, the woman at the desk carried my bags to my room. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was everything you could imagine and more. I would happily return on another visit.

We spent 4 nights in a great hotel. Great location, great service and very tasty food.

A hotel couldn't be better located than right next to the church in the center of Schwäbisch Hall. Everything beautiful in the old town and Kocher is within walking distance. The large rooms facing the market are beautiful and large, the smaller single rooms facing the light well are a bit disadvantaged. The reception was extremely friendly, the breakfast could be a little better, but a lot of it is a matter of taste. There are parking spaces almost in front of the door. We hope the hotel continues to live up to its long tradition!

We stayed at the Hotel Goldener Adler in Schwäbisch Hall for two nights and are convinced that it was a stroke of luck for us. Warm welcome on arrival, comprehensive information about the hotel and city, very helpful and friendly staff. Just as you wish. Delicious food, good selection, great breakfast. The boss cooks here! Nothing was missing! Good value for money. However, you have to be able to climb stairs well, but this is not only an advantage for the hotel, but a challenge for the entire city. The very old hotel is in very good condition, very clean rooms, newly renovated, a large, modern bathroom. The whole house exudes a rustic feel-good atmosphere, also due to the many loving details.

We were here for a romantic weekend via mydays. The room was well equipped (you had everything you needed) and the room was a very pleasant size. We really liked the whole medieval (half-timbered) look, which was rounded off by modern furnishings. The central location is of course great. We will definitely come here again for a long weekend or a holiday week with the kids. The breakfast is rich and the evening cuisine in the inn is highly recommended. Small town worth seeing with many half-timbered houses. Optimal location of the hotel in the center of the city. We liked it very much. Two nights are a bit too little.

The central location is excellent for reaching everything in the city center on foot. The restaurant and the ambience of the house are very appealing. We had a fairly small room. The rooms are very different due to the historical structure of the building. There are also very spacious rooms. The breakfast was appealing, fruit, cereal, eggs, bread, sausage, cheese... Unfortunately there were only various baked rolls.

Nice hotel right on the market square. The employees are all very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet offers everything you need. Rather unsuitable for immobile people as the rooms can only be reached via stairs. Parking space can be booked for 7.-/day.

I stayed here for a business trip. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient. I went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. The prices really shocked me. A 0.3 liter of homemade soda was more expensive than 0.3 liters of gravy. But it tasted good.

The building and the rooms of the Goldener Adler are really impressive and furnished to a high standard - a real eye-catcher. Unfortunately, the food cannot keep up with the beautiful ambience. The portions are very small, the taste is average, and the price-performance ratio is not appropriate. In addition, there is unfriendly service, which unfortunately further clouds the overall impression. Despite the beautiful restaurant, we won't be visiting again. Too bad!

The room was very nice. Even very quiet and the bathroom was new and modern. I didn't have the option to keep something cold in the room. BUT we had cappuccino with oat milk for breakfast. That was great.

Fantastic stay at Stadt-gut-Hotel. Here's what you need to know if you're planning to stay there. First note, my review is for a 6-day stay during the first week of November. Secondly, this is a very, very old historic hotel and perhaps not for everyone. You do have to climb stairs to get to your room, and none of the walls or floors are straight in this hotel! The floors will creak everywhere you step. My room was on the second (3rd in NA standards) floor. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and I'd say basic. The bathroom was clean and functional as well, with lots of hot water. My room did not have a coffee maker or mini fridge and no USB charging points, so you'll need to bring your own charger. I strongly recommend including breakfast with your stay as it was one of the best experiences of my stay. The morning breakfast was simply outstanding, and every morning, I wished I had a second stomach so that I could sample everything. This hotel simply has the best location ever, and you can't put a price on that! Right in the heart of the town square and next to the historic church, you can walk anywhere to explore the town. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful in every way. Check-in was very easy, and yes, you get an old-fashioned key for your room. The restaurant is very nice for food and drinks. You just need to make sure if they are open as they might be closed certain nights during off-season times. There are many options for hotels at Schwaebisch Hall, but none give you the experience of staying in a hotel built in the 1500s. This is a true opportunity to experience a historic sight in a prime location in the town. Highly recommended and a must visit hotel.

The hotel is beautifully located in the old town. We arrived without a car. The building is very impressive. It's the oldest in town. You can tell that a lot of love went into maintaining this house. The old thing has been preserved, but that doesn't make it look old-fashioned. Rooms are cozy, super large bathroom. The staircase is exceptional and the breakfast room is a lovely mix of old and new. The breakfast buffet is also very good. The only downside for us is the mattresses, both of us woke up with severe back pain. Still a very nice, stylish hotel!

Beautiful hotel, unfortunately it is currently being moved with scaffolding, so that the actually beautiful view of the market square is more like a view from a prison. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned in any way beforehand.

At the weekly market you can get such delicious cheese and delicious sausage. And when you see how besieged the bakery carts are at the market... You should switch from Lidl as a breakfast supplier to regional providers... If you want to eat well... We can only recommend the BERGL at Schulgasse 4... We had a huge bedroom. We looked out on the market side. What a great view. Unfortunately, no one had told us that they would start setting up the market stalls at 6 a.m. That was actually a bit loud and disturbing. The church, for example, didn't bother us. The voucher included a 3-course meal on the day of arrival. This was ok, but I would have expected more. The staff was super friendly. You were really nice. Many thanks to you. Great, cozy hotel with historical charm. Located in a prime location on the city's living room, the market square. Befitting a house with history, you will find all sorts of things to discover here.
