Sportheim in Kemnath

My perspective is from someone born and raised in the States. I also come from Latin origin, so my taste is accustomed to lots of seasonings. I'll start off with I have been to this establishment 3 times. Out of the three, I have tried schnitzel,fish, and duck. The food has always come out hot and in a timely manner. The owner and his staff have been quite hospitable and very willing to speak English with you. Food does tend to be a tad on the underseasoned side, but there is an effort to plate well. This is a well established restaurant in the community and is often busy. That being said,if you are a foreigner, don't expect much interaction. Would be nice if they had more beer on tap but this is an overall solid choice for German native food.

A beautiful location. Both indoors and outdoors. The staff and the landlady were very friendly, had a sense of humor and were really quick on the move. I had the pleasure of making music for a wedding and was well supported by the staff. The food was lovingly served and tasted very tasty. Gladly again when I'm nearby. We just enjoyed the hospitality in the restaurant. But if you have a heart for wet cyclists, I would book a room with them at any time. Maybe next time. 🫶
