Sparta Grill in Mönchengladbach

I've been eating at Sparta Grill regularly for years. It's an authentic restaurant with really delicious food, run by a very welcoming family. Anyone from the area should definitely check it out!

We ordered for the first time and were extremely satisfied. Everything was great, the bifteki plate was fantastic, and my wife's gyros pita was also delicious. Thank you for the food!

Could be a really good place with really good food... Unfortunately, the staff just screwed everything up... Supposedly, they were out of gyros... There were still 20 gyros left on the skewer. Apparently, they weren't in the mood, or we weren't Greek enough.

2 portions of gyros in a small bowl, with 2 tzatziki, meat arrives ice cold for 26€??? Not acceptable

The chicken was OK overall, and the coleslaw was good. The pepper sauce didn't impress me, and the rice wasn't very flavorful either, in my opinion. The delivery was quick, and the service was friendly.

The best gyro in all of Gladbach. I've tried many gyro places, and this one is the tastiest. I definitely recommend it!

The shop is a bit small, but that doesn't matter because the prices, quality and friendly staff make up for it.

Top value for money. Authentic Greek snack food. The tzatziki is delicious; usually, the tzatziki comes with a pepperoni to accompany the gyro.

Dry chicken for 10.50 is a disgrace

I ordered gyros/rice and didn't get it. After calling, they apparently ran out of rice. Instead of communicating over the phone, they just added fries (I don't like fries). After calling and complaining, I was told to let the driver know, which wouldn't do me any good...now I've paid for food, half of which I don't like. Never again!!!! One star is already too many

I can't understand the numerous positive reviews. I once ordered there, specifically from the menu in the mailbox - no idea how old it was. It came to €13.50. When the order was delivered, it was €18.50 - €5 more. But since I only had €15, I couldn't pay. Then the boss yelled at me on the driver's smartphone: 'We're not at a Turkish bazaar, they post regularly.' Where? Twitter? I don't have it. Facebook? I don't use it. And if you're going to use modern media as an argument, why didn't the driver have an EC-reader with her? Then I could have paid by card. I even told them on the phone that it was my first time ordering. Why wasn't I told the price over the phone, simply to avoid taking any risks? Then I would have used the time until delivery to get some money. Then I would have had to decide how we would proceed: either pay the amount another time or the driver would take the order back. After the lecture... Nope. I don't need to be yelled at, especially not for a few euros. The driver was allowed to take it back. First and last experience. Apparently this grill is doing so well financially that the boss thinks he can talk to future customers like that. Unfortunately, I have to give points for the food and ambiance. Food, no idea - as I said, I returned it. Ambiance, also no idea. Service, no comment.

I took off a star because the fries were not crispy and the ambiance could be improved. Otherwise, everything was ok.

The place reminds me of a Greek taverna, like in Greece. The food is delicious and inexpensive compared to other food stalls! A gyro plate for just €7 is amazing. I'd love to come back. If I could, I would have given it more than 5 stars.

A wonderful Greek place abroad that makes you feel right at home! The food is incredibly tasty, authentic, and made with love. Every bite reminds you of Greece! The recent renovation has made the space truly beautiful and bright. Congratulations on the quality and hospitality!

Lots of restaurants there... but none like Sparta Grill!... The most delicious food, gyros komplett, pizza, bifteki, greek souvlaki. Everything with the purest and freshest ingredients, made with love... The staff is kind and friendly...I bet you will try it and you won't forget it!... The restaurant of our heart ❤️

Well, if you want to fill yourself up, you shouldn't order anything here. The fried fish they serve is too small; it was gone after two forkfuls. I've never seen anything like it. 7 euros for a fried fish that was partially burnt. That was the last time I was there; the previous owner served large portions and filled you up.

We drive there from Neuwerk to eat fresh gyros every day, incredibly delicious and top-quality, and on Fridays, the delicious fried fish! The team at Sparta is very friendly, and we feel very comfortable there. Top value for money!

Got gyros there for the first time today. Very tasty and plentiful, and the price is unbeatable.

We happened to pass Sparta Grill and saw the Gyros sign for €7 on the window, so we had to stop and try it. So €7 for a gyro plate of this quality is too cheap in my opinion. Very very tasty and very fresh. Definitely not the last time.

The tzatziki is great, the meat is catastrophically hard and rubbery

I have ordered and eat at the restaurant couple of times. They make my favourite gyros and I love their homemade tzatziki! It is the “greekest” that you will find in taste. I would also recommend to try schnitzel with metaxa sauce. All employees are kind and cool guys! Ps: that much sauce in potatoes is my addition🤤

Just ordered 2 x Metaxa Gyros with fries. I was sooooo disappointed. First of all, delivery time over 1 hour... why a delivery fee? You should give it to yourself if the delivery doesn't work out well. Then the actual product.....no trace of Metaxa....the gyros hard and very greasy. 13 euros for that... that's sporty! I won't be ordering here anymore.

I can highly recommend this snack bar! The pizzas taste delicious and are always fresh. The tzatziki is just too intense – exactly my thing! At the moment the chicken schnitzel with bearnaise sauce and gratinated cheese is my absolute number one! A real insider tip!"

The best pizzas ever!!! Sparta pizza with gyros and gyros hollandaise are my favourite ones! <3 If you ever go to Monchengladbach, go and eat to Sparta Grill! The meat is excellent there! The combination with pizza really delicious! The staff is very friendly and the Greeks always make you feel welcome and comfortable. Everything is very clean and the atmosphere is nice. There is the option for delivery also!

This tuna pizza (Thunfisch) was the BEST pizza I ate in my life!! High quality ingredients, big portions, tasty combinations, and really good prices!! Congratulations to Chef Fotis!! I will go back tonight again for this pizza :)

Gyros totally salty, tzatziki too salty and so much garlic that the food made me sick. Too bad about the money. Sorry, honest opinion.

Now I felt like 1/2 chicken (fried) and definitely say that. was very, very tasty, nice and crispy and not greasy and deliciously seasoned. And the price €5.50 is ok too. The tastiest thing I've eaten, the others are always as limp as those from the grill car, but I've never been disappointed at the Sparta Grill. Nice team. THANK YOU keep it up!! Tasty yes, but full Overpriced Gyros with onions and tzatziki in two mini portions 24 € a bit intense afterward still hungry 🙄😡

Malaka - Simply for me personally the BEST Greek in Mönchengladbach. Simply delicious, decent portions and very friendly staff. You feel at home and are well looked after. It's a shame that you can "only" give 5 stars. This store would have earned 10 times more

Every now and then we order mostly gyros gratinated with Metaxa sause from Sparta Grill. What you should perhaps adjust a bit are the prices, which are far too expensive compared to other stores.

Was last week picking up food there again for a long time. The room was full and there was a stressed atmosphere in the air. Somehow you didn't feel particularly welcome. The food was OK. Nevertheless, I would like to try it here again. After all, everyone has a bad day sometimes.

Super tasty gyros and the Djuwetsch rice is homemade, also very tasty. And a large portion for €7. The medium fries looks like a big portion and nice service, will come again.

We ordered for the first time. We were already told on the phone that it could take an hour or an hour and a few minutes longer. After 1.5 hours our order still hadn't arrived. The food arrived in just under 95 minutes. The gyros (baked) was very tasty and still hot (the restaurant is almost 800 meters away). The driver apologized and said that there was a lot of work to do and a new gyro skewer needed to be installed. The fries didn't taste good at all, they were very cold and the mayo was very sour. Unfortunately, I have never eaten fries like this before. Unfortunately we won't be ordering there again, even though the gyros were really tasty. A pity!

Fries great... Crispy despite delivery because they were individually packaged. Gyros top... Unfortunately Gyros Special not so much... Too salty and watery. Otherwise nothing to complain about. A touch less salt and sauce and this would have been successful.

Ich bestelle hier selten, vielleicht 3-4 mal im Jahr, aber das seit Anfang an. Hatte nie einen Grund für eine Beschwerde. Essen immer frisch und lecker, freundliches Personal. Heute zum 8-jährigen Jubiläum sogar ein Stückchen Kuchen oben drauf bekommen, der war köstlich, vielen Dank hierfür. Pizzen immer sehr gut belegt, da muss man die Zutaten nicht mit der Lupe suchen ;) Da stimmt Preis/Leistung.

Essen war lecker und schnelle Lieferung.

Für mich das leckerste Gyros. Selbstgemachte Salate und Zaziki. Top👍

Mały, skromny lokal z pysznym jedzeniem. Porcję są spore, ceny umiarkowane.

Wenn man Glück hat wird das Essen innerhalb einer Stunde warm geliefert. Jetzt wird innerhalb von noch nicht einmal 2km Eine lieferpauschale erhoben ohne es am Telefon zu erwähnen.
