Akropolis-Grill in Mönchengladbach

Absolutely nothing extraordinary. This has little to do with a Greek restaurant. Burgers, Dutch food, schnitzel, and a bit of gyro. Hardly any authentic Greek food. And unfortunately, at very steep prices. Personally, I can't recommend it and wouldn't tell anyone to eat there.

His dishes are always very tasty.

In my opinion, one of the best gyros in Mönchengladbach. The prices may not match the chip shop's charm, but they definitely match the quality of the food! The staff is always cheerful, friendly, and incredibly fast, even when the place gets overrun during peak times. And for anyone who's upset about the removal of the gyro plate and the price increase: This way, you can decide where you want to save (e.g., coleslaw from the supermarket). Given the rising costs of food, energy, rent, and labor, I'd rather see prices rise than a drop in quality. Good service has its price.

10/10 been serval times when visiting Monchengladbach and never disappoints

Simply the best Greek restaurant in Mönchengladbach! The gryos is so delicious and crispy, the tzatziki tastes homemade, and the fries are golden brown and crispy. The service is very friendly, and it's clearly a Greek family business. The prices are still completely reasonable, considering that they charge €8-9 for a crappy minced meat doner elsewhere.

I drive from Viersen every weekend just for the gyros!! My family and I love the shop and have been eating at your place for 15 years. The meat is very good and the price is also completely reasonable. When I look at the other prices in Gladbach, I'm happy to be able to eat cheaply with you.

Why only one star? Now that the operator obviously can't get enough of it and, as soon as the VAT adjustment was announced, he raised the prices sharply out of gratitude and took the popular gyro plate off the menu, this restaurant has become a no-go area for my colleagues and me. Sad, but the team is great, the food was great and the portions were good. Whether it is the right way to offer customers brazen price increases (4 euros for a bit of ready-made tzatziki is brazen and instead of 11 euros it is now the equivalent of around 13 euros for a gyro plate) I leave it to be seen.

Now that the operators were of the opinion that it would be a great idea to implement open and hidden, but super brazen price increases, I will avoid this store in the future, just like some of my colleagues. My personal culmination of outrageousness is that the gyro plate for €11 was removed without replacement and you can now put it together yourself and it costs around €15. In addition, the quality has also deteriorated and therefore any justification for a price increase is no longer valid. Instead of passing on the announced VAT reduction from 19 to 7% to the guests, 30 price increases of up to 30% were implemented here.

To miss out on such a delicious culinary delight is a fars thing. The service, the food, the ambience a smooth 11/10. I have never stopped eating here since I first tried it. If you want to eat Greek you go to the Gyrosmann. If you want to experience Greek, come here. TOP

The store is great, value for money is very good. I don't understand why some people react so suspiciously because of the price increase. I mean, nothing costs more at Edeka than it did in 2004. You pay €50 for 7 or 8 things. So great! I always enjoy eating with you. Regular customer for years. One of the cheapest in the Gladbach area!!! You get quality food for your money! The food is just as good as it was 20 years ago!!

We've only eaten here with the whole family for years and for good reason! The food is always freshly prepared and tastes really delicious. You can tell that the barbecue is made with love here. The staff is also consistently friendly and warm, you are always welcomed warmly. For us it has long since become a regular address when we want to eat well and uncomplicatedly.

The portions and prices are a disgrace. They want to milk the customers like a cow. Know the purchase prices.

Delicious yes, friendly staff yes. But the portions got smaller and the prices got higher. 15 euros for a small gyro plate with a bit of coleslaw is definitely too much.

The food is excellent!!! Never had better meat. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Very warm, just like you know from Greece!! I would go there again and again and eat delicious food. Great!!

The food is delicious. I still can't come here anymore because there's no gyro plate anymore. So you are forced to order a huge portion of gyros individually, which is way too much (and expensive). It probably won't bother the grill as it's always full and has enough customers anyway.

Price increase is all well and good. But we paid €11 for the gyro plate until last week. Today it's only available without salad for €12 plus salad for €15!!! A price increase of over 36%??? No thanks

I ordered 2* Acropolis platters: 1 souvlaki, 2 pork fillet medallions, 2 cevapcici, gyro with fries and salad for €14.00 each. Both platters were missing 1 pork fillet medallion, but there was 1 more cevapcici. The quality has nothing to do with the old Acropolis Grill. The fries taste like cardboard, the cevapcici are as thin as children's fingers and not even browned (there are better ones in the freezer). All the meat tasted the same and was just oily. You can't get rid of that nasty oily taste even hours later; I could have just drunk oil! Not recommended, never again!

I go there with my wife at least two to three times a month. Simply the best Greek! The employees are all great and a perfect team. The quality of the meat and the food in general is A. No matter where we move soon, you are our regular grill.

Really delicious and plentiful food for the family and also for individuals! Friendly staff, the food was at our table very quickly, so no long waiting times. It's worth it and my little personal recommendation: take the gratinated one! It's just a shame that there wasn't any baked chicken, but it was still super tasty!!!!

Unfortunately I have to express my opinion about the fact that I was standing in front of the closed door for the second time at 9.40 p.m. Today it was seen that I was coming and then the lights were quickly turned off and an employee told me that they were closed. There was still gyros there. Apparently the employees wanted to finish work early. I am very disappointed with how customers are treated.

Gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce are super delicious. Gyro plate also very tasty, only the fries could be a little more seasoned...for our taste. The Gyros Pita was also delicious. We'll be back, also because the service was very friendly despite the stress. Prices for a snack are just ok.

What's particularly special is that we've only heard good things about the Acropolis for years - that's no coincidence!!!!!! The best Gyro restaurant in Germany, I had a chicken gyro and a pork gyro and they were delicious and easy to digest and I say this because I have had my bile removed because I had a stone and I have trouble digesting. I will go again at the first opportunity PS The employees were very helpful and fast even though the store was full!!! Congratulations!!!!!

It used to be 5 stars despite the same ambience. This time the fries weren't fresh and the service was just okay. Because of the quality of the gyros, I'm not sure if it was worse, but I think my impression suffered a lot because of the fries. It's a shame, because a short time ago I would have thought that this is where you get the delicious gyros plate in Germany.

Food there is wonderful, price performance is top I ate a schnitzel Bernais there it was very good nice tender meat my mother had a plate with skewers and gyros was also top nothing to complain about my father also had a schnitzel which was also top there was enough sauce with the schnitzel The only thing that could be better were the fries, which were ok but not perfect yet, could be better, but you can still eat great there and get full for your money. Staff very friendly.

Thanks to the proximity to Edeka, there are plenty of good parking options. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained. We received a very friendly welcome, were able to place our order straight away and were allowed to choose a table straight away. The food was prepared and served quickly. The gyro plate with bifteki was sensational. You can pay both in cash and by card. I would love to come back!

Best gyros, price/performance is right

Essen ist sehr lecker und schnell zubereitet. Für mein Empfinden zu schnell, denn man erhält leider oft nicht das, was man bestellt hat. Bei Abholungen empfiehlt es sich daher die Bestellung zu kontrollieren! Ansonsten durchaus zu empfehlen

Das Gyros ist super mit leckerem Tsatsiki. Ich nehme eigentlich immer die Pita oder seltener mal einen Gyrosteller, deswegen kann ich zum Rest nichts sagen. Vor Ort habe ich auch noch nicht gegessen (ist für mich ein Imbiss, kein Restaurant), aber die Bedienung ist immer flott und auf Zack (wenn auch nicht immer übertrieben freundlich 😁).

Das Essen ist immer unfassbar schnell zubereitet. Egal wie voll es im Restaurant ist, man wartet nie länger als 5min. Darüber hinaus ist das Essen auch noch total lecker und frisch!!!! Toller Service

Unser Griechischer lieblings Grill. Die Gerichte sind durchgehend lecker. Alle sind sehr nett auch wenn viel los ist. Alles im allem Top.

Wir sind bisher immer gerne dort essen gegangen und dafür sogar 20 km gefahren.Leider lohnt sich mittlerweile die Fahrt für uns nicht mehr. Gyros war verbrannt und trocken zudem war der Chef ( Schätzungsweise) nur am Rauchen und über Lautsprecher am telefonieren. Finde so etwas nicht gerade kundenfreundlich wenn man halbwegs in Ruhe das eigentlich richtig leckere Gyros genießen möchte

Bestes Gyros in der ganzen Umgebung. Bisher ist noch keiner da dran gekommen. Obwohl wir weggezogen sind, kommen wir extra wegen den leckeren Gyrostellern noch zu Akropolis 👍🏻 und das Tzatziki ist auch unverbesserlich. Ein kulinarischer Genuss
