The most ridiculous click fishing 2 for 1 offer in the history of mankind: you get 2 Heinz 17ml plastic packages for 1. What a poor way trying to get in 2 for 1 deals listing. Obviously thinking your customers are dumb.

The doner meat is good, but the price/performance ratio isn't right. A jumbo doner costs €9.50. The size and quantity are normal.

The kebab we ate was ice cold, the bread was "raw," and the staff were just stressed, even though we were the only customers to order for 10 minutes. They shouted at us, asking what we wanted on our kebabs, as if there were 50 people waiting in line.

That was another delicious plate of durum and falafel. And, as always, the two of them were incredibly polite, even quite funny. Top-notch, as always. 6 stars

Very small and expensive vöner - tastes quite ok.

There's only one employee in the shop who can make kebabs. Everyone else is, firstly, incredibly rude and unfriendly, and secondly, unable to wait until the meat is no longer raw. It's simply disgusting. The worst is the fat redhead who constantly insults all the customers in Turkish. Never again.

It was always one of the best kebabs in town, and now I'm just disappointed. Vegetable kebab with raw potatoes, etc., and the kebab itself was completely tasteless. What happened? Months ago, everything was perfect here, and now I've been so disappointed for the third time in a row because it just didn't taste good...

Unfortunately, the sauces don't say what they are or what they taste like, and despite several visits, I haven't been able to figure it out very well. Signs with explanations would be really good.

I thought it was bad. I bought a kebab there once and found the employees really strange. The kebab wasn't really anything special either. It's edible, but I wouldn't go there just to get a kebab. It tasted like a standard kebab. Never again.

I ordered a "large" fries doner for €8.50 – but the contents were a mini fries doner. I'd already had a bad experience at Soul Kebab at Lurup. I thought I'd give it another try, but I was disappointed. Wanting €8.50 for less than 80g of meat is pretty cheeky. People should go to Siggy's Gemüsekebab (a 10-minute walk away) – at least they weigh the meat there, and you get what you pay for.

The food was good. The service was completely inappropriate and arrogant.

Ate a jumbo Dürum for €10 with chicken, red onions, parsley (lots of stalks), red cabbage, and curry sauce. What can I say? The amount of meat and sauce were a joke for the price. The owner coated the Dürum flatbread with a very thin layer of the relatively runny sauce. Afterward, I couldn't taste the meat (very lightly seasoned compared to other chicken kebabs) or the curry sauce. Instead, the Dürum tasted almost exclusively of the rather bitter red onions and red cabbage. There are definitely much better kebab shops in Hamburg! I threw half the roll in the trash at shoulder blade height because I couldn't/didn't want to eat any more.

Not a bad kebab per se, but the portion sizes are truly outrageous. Estimated at 250g for the whole kebab (I'm not referring to the amount of meat, and it's definitely not a typo!!!!) and then charging €8 is beyond outrageous. Unfortunately, I'll have to turn to one of the numerous other kebab shops in the Schanze district in the future. Best regards, and hope for a speedy recovery.

The food tasted like an average kebab. Okay, not a flavor explosion, but not bad either. But the service was awful; the employees seemed very annoyed. They were definitely not particularly friendly and got angry. But the worst part was, a tourist was completely ripped off. A guy came in and asked in English about the price of a small Coke, and the guy lied, "Ice cold," and said 6 euros!! Even though it said much less. Then he bought water, which was "cheaper," and also the wrong price at 4 euros. So, that's okay.

They skimp on the sauce and tried to overcharge me.

I've been a regular customer at Schanzen Soulkebab for many years. Unfortunately, they've skimped on the toppings on their doner kebabs so much these days that the bread ends touch and fold together without any problems. Furthermore, the top third of the doner kebab is quite dry, as there's less sauce. The doner currently costs €8, and this is my second disappointing experience. It's better to leave the doner as it is and possibly charge a bit more than to further reduce the portion size at the expense of flavor.

The meat is quite good, but there's far too little for the price. There's also far too little sauce. The bread is too dry.

The staff is nice. But the UFO doner tastes like nothing more than bread with a hint of sauce. You can barely taste the meat or vegetables at all.

Puts the wrong sauces in my UFO kebab and puts onions in it even though it wasn't wanted

This used to be one of my favorite kebab shops, but these days the quality and service are unfortunately abysmal. I ordered the kebab box – and the best part was the salad. The fries were cold and barely fried, the meat tasted like a processed product, and the sauces were way too overpowering. On top was a dollop of that bright orange sauce that tasted absolutely disgusting. Then came a mountain of salad, some ready-made coleslaw underneath, and at the very bottom were the fries. I'm really wondering why I even go there anymore. This was my second bad visit in a row. I think one star is actually too much. Especially in the Schanze district, there are more than enough good shops that offer significantly better quality for less money. The only "advantage": The shop is always empty – but that's unfortunately also because the staff takes their time serving you, even when the shop is empty. I hope I remember next time that I don't want to go there anymore.

The kebab was super tasty - juicy meat, good sauces. The staff was friendly and quick, I would like to come back.

The kebab is nothing special in terms of taste, there is also little content for €8 and there is no tax evasion due to no cash register management.

It wasn't disgusting now, but in the days of Sels kebab it was much better. Chicken wasn't sold out, the kebab was bigger, the bread had sesame etc. etc.

I hate it when the kebab is cut off too early and ends up raw in the bread. There were no other customers apart from us. Raw and too little ultimately ended up in our bread. Nothing special about this kebab. Not necessarily again.

Doner didn't taste good. The employees don't seem to want to work. Stomach cramps ruined the evening. Nothing positive to report.

The meat wasn't exceptional and the durum was quite greasy, but the ingredients like the tomato and lettuce were fresh. However, I give it 4 stars because the place was well decorated and the service is fast. The brick wall with some stickers seemed original to me. Also, some employees are nice and customer service is generally good.

I used to love getting kebabs there. Now I regret it. The portions are getting smaller and smaller, and at €8.00, they're getting more and more expensive. The positive thing was that the kebab was still crispy when I got it home, which was probably because there was hardly any sauce on it. The tomato tasted moldy, and the parsley was more stalk than leaf. There was very little meat, but it was okay. I'll get my kebabs elsewhere in the future, though.

Never again. I just ordered here and the driver from Soulkebab took 45 minutes to deliver the food. Soulkebab is less than 5 minutes away by bike. How cheeky to deliver ice-cold mushy kebabs for €10!

All in all a good shop. I've been going there for years and the staff are always nice and you immediately feel very welcome and well served.

I actually enjoy going here. Unfortunately, this is now only very sporadic, as the ambience is really difficult in winter (often drafts when temperatures are low) and the spring-loaded neighborhood in the kitchen area seems welcome. It can always happen that a pigeon comes into the store. But I find it difficult that they relax and pick away the dirt behind the counter and even hop around on the shelves, while the staff, not two meters away, prefer to have a chat when they see the pigeon.

This place used to be one of my favorites for kebabs. Unfortunately, they've deteriorated considerably these days. The service is abysmal and rude, and they have various price signs, with the most expensive being charged. There's a sign at the top, and a smaller, somewhat hidden sign at the bottom. The sign at the top says the price for a UFO kebab: €6.50, and at the bottom, €7. For a cheese crust, it says €1.50 at the top, and €1 at the bottom. They charged me €8.50. It's not about the €2, but about their audacity to rip off customers, and the exceedingly rude service. I left without paying and without eating. It's a shame, but there are plenty of kebab shops in Hamburg, especially on the Schanze district.

I used to enjoy eating at SoulKebab. After the renovations and the change in staff, the service, the quality of the meat, the preparation, and the sauces, which had a musty aftertaste, deteriorated so much that no matter what you order, it's inedible. Regarding the change in staff, you're no longer greeted; you have to walk into the place with the attitude of a bartender, greeting the waiter with a loud "moin, hello" instead of the way you're used to being greeted at a restaurant. I find the image that this place has to be very questionable, and I would advise anyone reading this not to eat at this place or try it.

Were impossible yesterday. The service was immediately unfriendly. My kebab was really cold 😵‍💫 I really saved on the meat and sauce. I know that man can do better. The boss himself enjoyed being in the shop and running the shop. I'm amazed at how the people work there.

Even though the food gets worse from time to time, there is at least one really unfriendly service. It used to be ok there - I don't have to have it anymore.

Soggy fries, 1 minute after they were fried…. No salt on the fries and a mini dollop of mayo for a cheeky €5.5… McDonald's 20 meters away is unfortunately more recommended in this case.

The kebab tastes like a kebab like you're used to. Nothing special but definitely edible. However, the service has many deficiencies. While my order was being taken, the employee insulted the last customer. Out of his aggression, he rudely took my order. When the customer from before came in again to ask for a napkin, he was told that there were no more and sent him out and was further insulted. A few seconds later, other customers received napkins.

Waste of food - waste of time: We ordered two meat durum and one hallumi durum. We got one meat durum and two pita breads with meat and hallumi. We sent the pita breads back and got two pita breads back. We gave up when they were super stressed and misunderstood everything we said, especially because they kept interrupting us. We would like to recommend that they listen for the customers' orders and/or listen for when the customer tries again. We hope we don't get an upset stomach like one of the other reviewers, because you can't give minus stars. 🤭

I used to bring vegetable kebabs with me. Veal always served with herbs and spicy sauce, it was delicious, I've been there twice in the last week, and it doesn't taste much fat anymore, the sauces are different, the bread is broken in many places, now there are better kebab shops, sorry, I don't come to you anymore

Wow. The reviews here are underground. But I can understand. Anyone who knows other Soul branches in Hamburg understands the disappointment. This is one of the newer ones, but unfortunately it's also the one that disappoints most people. I don't really know what they're doing wrong, but it's just not worth eating kebab here. The colleagues are nice, it looks cool inside. Clean… everything ok at first. But the kebab is just bad... not bad like “super shit” but bad in the sense of - “normally soul kebabs are always one of the better kebab shops in Hamburg”. But yes, if you're in the mood for a kebab and you're nearby, you can have it. Better than the alternative at the other end of the street - luckily!

Ordered Dürüm roll and unfortunately only got onions with meat and a side salad. No tomatoes, no cucumbers and unfortunately no really tasty meat either. Since the staff also seemed totally confused, there was a lot of room for improvement. We only paid for everything because we pointed out everything we ordered ourselves.

Unfortunately the food was very poor. Cartilaginous meat, no sauce spread, not rolled properly and everything was limp. The competition is too great for you to have to leave your money here. Maybe you'll find your old quality again

❌DO NOT VISIT❌ I ate there on Friday around 1am and I think I had the worst, most disgusting kebab experience ever. 1 star is still way too much. The main problem was the present head of the kebab skewer (older, fatter, little hair) who doesn't speak German and yells at you if you don't understand his mumble. This was the case for me when I gave my friends my order after 10 minutes because he had simply overlooked me. The kebab itself was the straw that broke the camel's back. After I pointed out to him that I hadn't received anything, he insulted me in an unfriendly manner and insulted me in Turkish (me and my friends understood that) the whole time, and other customers were also cowardly insulted. The point is, my kebab was practically out of the trash. The kebab man, as excited about me as he was, didn't even look at the skewer and scraped up the last bits of rotten food from the container and slapped it into my bread🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮. The rest of the salad was also a disaster, the sauce was all wrong. Shame on you! When it comes to something like that, I could actually just resort to insults. Never soul again, for me and my friends.

I live in the Schanze. I haven't eaten there for a long time. I thought to myself again today that I should let it go. There wasn't enough meat and sauce in the kebab box. The fries were really cold and soggy, everything was really dry because they didn't put enough sauce in after that When I asked, the kebab man charged 2 euros for a bit of sauce, which was really rude. I'll never eat there again

Small kebab with very little content. Even the sauce was saved. The whole thing happened so quickly that there was little influence, even though it wasn't particularly crowded. Finally, the packed food was literally thrown onto the counter.

Formerly Sel Kebab absolutely great. Today only half of it is left (it's really a joke how little is put into the kebab) and the ingredients of the kebab and dürüms taste like nothing, and sauces are absolutely useless. Better go to the falafel shops next door, they taste a thousand times better.

Ordered food through Wolt. Unfortunately the wrong sauce was packed into the kebab. When ordered, cocktail sauce in my kebab was my white sauce! It can happen sometimes, so I complained by phone. I was promised. A new kebab will be sent to me. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any kebab and no one answered the phone. Customer service really sucks

Used to be my favorite kebab... Today: Vegetable kebab, ordered and paid for with veal, but no grilled vegetables in it. Ordered and paid for kebab with veal and extra halloumi, but no veal in the kebab.

The Doner box was delicious with perfectly textured meat that wasn’t dry. Paired with tea, it made for the ideal dinner combo. I also loved the cozy atmosphere.

Best Halloumi Dürüm, I can't say anything about meat dishes. Service is quick and uncomplicated, the prices are fair. Ambiance is fine according to the setting.

This kebab shop used to be one of the better addresses in the Schanze under the name Sel Kebab. Today there is not much that reminds us of those times. Prices have been increased since inflation, that's fine as this was the case in every kebab shop. Unfortunately, the portions also became smaller and the taste suffered massively. On top of that, the employees are so unfriendly that you feel anything but welcome. They don't even try to remember a simple kebab order. I was there for the last time and I'm glad about it. Food is regular. Service is the worst. One of the employees (around 40/50 years old) preparing the food and taking your order was super rude. Never coming back.

Ordered Falafel Dürüm, taste was actually quite okay, but an hour later I got diarrhea and a stomach ache, which I rarely have. I like to eat kebab and falafel with different sauces and tolerate them well. Not fresh or is the heat to blame?

Expensive kebab that is almost empty. No matter when you go, the people at the store are always rude and forget your order at least twice. There are much better shops in the area. It's a real shame, it was one of the better stores for a long time.

We've been going to this kebab regularly for years because we work around the corner, but today was the last time. The employees are incredibly unfriendly and don't even try to remember the order. The Vöner doesn't taste like anything, it's half empty and the bread was just wet.
