Wunderbar! Sehr entgegenkommend bei Glutenunverträglichkeit und sehr freundlich.

Ich war heute Abend hier und bin wirklich begeistert. Die beiden jungen Männer, die heute gearbeitet haben, waren ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Ich habe mich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Die angenehme Atmosphäre und der hervorragende Service haben meinen Besuch zu etwas Besonderem gemacht. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend – ich komme sehr gerne wieder! Absolute Empfehlung!

Köstliches Essen, perfekter Service, faire Preise. Wir hatten einen normalen und einen veganen Burger. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den veganen Burger – er war perfekt!

Wir waren diese Woche im Juli 2026 zweimal dort essen. Beide Male bestellten wir Trüffelpasta, die wirklich gut schmeckte. Ich bestellte einen Spargelsalat, aber offensichtlich gab es einen Fehler in der Speisekarte, denn es war kein Spargel dabei – worauf ich mich schon sehr gefreut hatte. Das war eine große Enttäuschung, aber der Salat selbst war lecker. Schade nur, dass die englische Speisekarte nicht korrekt übersetzt oder korrigiert wurde. An einem der Tage aßen wir auch einen Burger, der in Ordnung war, aber das Brötchen hätte besser sein können. Ansonsten war aber alles sehr lecker und wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Abend. Am ersten Abend war der Geräuschpegel in Ordnung, aber am zweiten Abend saß eine junge Frau mit ihrem Baby da und schrie sehr laut und klapperte mit ihren Schlüsseln – dem Baby zuliebe. Sie hätte die Lautstärke deutlich reduzieren können – aber dafür konnte das Restaurant nichts.

Köstliches Essen und nette Bedienung. Hier stimmt Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die Qualität. Die Schnitzel sind hier sehr lecker und der Salat passt sehr gut dazu. Hier kann man sich den Abend mit guten Speisen versüßen.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen und super freundlicher Service, der sich den Wünschen der Gäste anpasst: wir hatten die Trüffelpasta mit Rinderfilet und haben gefragt, ob wir noch gebratenes Gemüse dazu bekommen können - das war ohne Probleme möglich🥰

Die weiße Spargelsuppe ist ein Muss! Schweinebraten mit Spätzl! Und ich habe Hering mit Kartoffeln.

Ich hatte hier die fantastischste Trüffelpasta mit perfekt gebratenem Steak. Die Portion war riesig, sodass ich für zwei Mahlzeiten hatte! Mein Mann hatte den Rindfleischburger, der ihm auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Mein Cocktail war ebenfalls köstlich. Der Service war sehr gut und die Terrasse ein wirklich schöner Platz zum Sitzen.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Beide Pastagerichte waren fantastisch, ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir waren zu zweit und wollten abends einen gemütlichen Drink nehmen. Wir trinken beide kein Alkohol. Das haben wir bei der Bestellung angegeben und gefragt ob es alkoholfreie Cocktails gibt. Uns wurde ein alkoholfreier Hugo angeboten als einziger alkoholfreier Cocktail. Den haben wir gerne angenommen. Was wir bekommen haben war Hollersirup Soda. Enttäuschend. Alkoholfreien Sekt gibt es wirklich schon überall, ebenso wie Sanbitter alkoholfrei und viele andere alkoholfreie Alternativen. Mich enttäuscht die Unehrlichkeit. Wenn ich vor der Bestellung frage, erwarte ich eine ehrliche Antwort.

Wir hatten hier ein wirklich leckeres glutenfreies Essen. Mein Mann, der Zöliakie hat, aß den Burger auf einem glutenfreien Brötchen, der sehr gut war und den er gut vertrug. Ich bestellte das Rinderfilet glutenfrei, was kein Problem war, da fast die gesamte Speisekarte glutenfrei zubereitet werden kann. Einfach fragen! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und sprach hervorragend Englisch. Sie verstand, dass wir nur wenig Zeit hatten, brachte unser Essen schnell und fragte regelmäßig nach, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Absolut empfehlenswert, falls Sie mal in der Stadt sind!

Ein sehr nettes Café. Etwas versteckt gelegen und nicht so überlaufen. Ein feundliches Team und guten Kuchen gibt es hier. Danke bis zum nächsten Mal.

Ein Geheimtip, einfach genial, wenn ich könnte würde ich mehr Sterne vergeben. Wir haben es im Urlaub (sind zum 2. Mal in Berchtesgaden) nur durch Zufall entdeckt und wollten einfach mal einen Kaffee trinken, doch ich ließ mich vom Chef für eine Eispalatschine hinreißen - was soll ich sagen - mehr als lecker und so köstlich. Am Pfingstmontag haben wir dann abends gegessen und Kaffee genossen. Hier passt einfach alles, Bedienung und Freundlichkeit, keine Wartezeit, Mitarbeiter mehr als Aufmerksam, tolles sehr einladendes Ambiente, Speisekarte sehr ansprechend mit sehr guter Auswahl, Essen hervorragend mit bester Qualität und super Preis- Leistung, einfach mehr als TOP!!!! Ein köstliches Essen: Lachs, Salat, frischer Spargel und Kartoffeln. Wir saßen an den Tischen im Freien, im Innenhof. Freundlicher Service!

Tolles Café ... gemütlich und entspannend

Der Spargel war noch sehr hart, Hollondais war frisch zubereitet. Creme Brulé war vorbereitet, der karamelisierte Zucker war schon länger drauf.

Essen und Service Top und dazu den tollen Anblick auf die Kirschblüte. Wenn man die influencer ignoriert sehr idyllisch.

Es war halt die Blütezeit der Kirschblüte !! ❤️

Die Spargelsuppe war einfach köstlich. Cremig, aber nicht zu cremig, und die fein geschnittenen Spargelstücke, die nicht welk waren, sorgten für einen tollen Kontrast. Das Rinderfilet war das beste, das ich je gegessen habe! Ich hatte es medium rare bestellt und genau so bekommen. Auch die Präsentation war wunderschön. Die Rösti waren absolut himmlisch. Ich liebe Rösti generell, aber diese waren definitiv um Längen besser als alles, was ich bisher gegessen habe. Das Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes und einem Beilagensalat in einem wirklich köstlichen Dressing war perfekt. Der Service war exzellent. Ich liebe das warme, gemütliche Ambiente mit der perfekten Playlist. Das alkoholfreie Löwenbräu war leicht und hatte einen sehr authentischen Biergeschmack. Ich kann dieses Café-Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Wir sind nur auf der Durchreise, aber wenn wir in der Nähe wohnen würden, wäre es definitiv einer meiner Stammplätze. So gut ist es!

Ein tolles Café/Restaurant. Absolut modernes Ambiente überzeugte uns schon am Eingang. Waren allerdings nur hier um was zu trinken, mussten aber feststellen, dass die Speisen an den Nachbartischen sehr sehr lecker aussahen. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. So fühlt sich ein Gast sehr wohl. Vielen Dank und weiter so.

I'm in Berchtesgaden for a few weeks and have discovered Sophie's. The coffee specialties are extremely good, and so is the cake, especially the Linzer torte. Highly recommended.

We were there for dinner. We both had the burger with wedges. The food was fresh and high quality. We missed a slightly different sauce on the burger, and the wedges were a bit over-seasoned. Hence only 4 stars. But taste is subjective. The other guests' meals also looked very good.

We were immediately warmly welcomed. We were looking for traditional German cuisine with vegan alternatives, and we certainly found it! The space is beautifully decorated both inside and out. The terrace was filled with (real) plants, and right next to their location is a lovely park with fountains. The service was friendly and very prompt. For our main course, we had the schnitzel, curry, vegetarian burger, and pasta with truffle cream sauce. All these dishes were delicious! The dessert was also very tasty. A very successful evening!

Food is ok, the place is nice There is a problem with the service - we asked for the bill several times but has to wait too long.

On a Monday evening, there was a live band outside the restaurant, and people were sitting at beer tables. The food was excellent: fish fillet, Wiener schnitzel, veggie burger, and salmon salad. The service was friendly, but was overwhelmed by the crowd, and we waited 45 minutes for our food.

An absolute insider tip! The restaurant is centrally located on Maximilianstraße and boasts a friendly, modern atmosphere – with outdoor seating both facing the street and the quiet Kurgarten garden, the latter highly recommended for relaxing afternoons. The service is consistently attentive, warm, and professional. The menu presents classics with a new twist – such as beef burgers, pasta with truffle cream, or beef fillet, as well as international and vegetarian options – all freshly prepared with love. Fans of the lunch special or Vegetarian Wednesday will also find their money's worth.

We stopped off on our way back from Italy and stopped here for dinner. Since our daughter needs gluten-free food, we found Sophie's Cafe on the "Find Me Gluten-Free" app. Several dishes are gluten-free, including ice cream. The owner is super nice. The atmosphere is also great. But the best part was the absolutely delicious food 🤤 100% recommended.

We reserved via email and received a quick response. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was friendly. We would definitely return.

We had schnitzel with fries and a good salad. We also had a hamburger that was good. Unfortunately, one schnitzel was overcooked. Everything else was super fresh and good. The plates were cleared quickly, Mediterranean-style, after the food was finished... perhaps a little too quickly.

The coffee was very tasty and aromatic—I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the apple strudel was disappointing, as the dough was still raw. A little more care in the baking would have been appreciated.

We had arrived in Berchtesgaden having spent 8 nights at one of the best hotels in Italy. We were not sure what we wanted but after Italy wanted something very good. Stumbled across Sophie's by chance. Menu was appealing. Choice of seating in front patio area, inside or rear patio overlooking a small tranquil park. Chose rear patio. Food was fresh, well cooked and presented. Sophie was an excellent hostess who could speak good English. Enjoyed the meal, decor and service so much returned the next day, twice the next day and again the next day. On all occasions everything was first class. Ate in all 3 areas. Inside decor is stylish and well thought out. Overall very good value. Would happily eat here every week if we did not live over 1,700km away. Will remember our meals here with fond memories.

Stumbled across this wonderful restaurant by chance. Excellent, well presented, fresh food. Ate here on 4 consecutive days. Sophie is a superb hostess. Well thought out decor with choice of inside and outside seating. Very good value. If did not live 1,700km away would eat here every week.

Truffle pasta with beef fillets Such a large portion.🤣 Every linguine is covered with rich and creamy truffle sauce. The beef fillets are perfectly cooked. 2. Beef steak with hash brown and bacon asparagus The steak is zesty and tender. Medium is just right. Deep-fried hash brown is crispy. Truly appreciate the sauce accompanied! 😍

We saw this restaurant had a number of good reviews and now we can add ours as well. . We tried several different items from the menu (zucchini starter, schnitzel, curry with chicken, and a delicious creme brulee)and we're very happy with all our choices. Portions are well sized, flavorful and reasonably priced. Service was also prompt and friendly.

It doesn't have the typical Bavarian flair, which isn't a bad thing. A bit too hip for my taste but as I said, that's a matter of taste. I had schnitzel with fries, and my friend had the beef burger with potatoes. The fries and potatoes are frozen goods. The schnitzel was tasty. The burger was ok, but unfortunately it was missing a sauce or something “peppy”. The food came quickly and the conditions were friendly.

Very good restaurant serving delicious food - I especially recommend the divine curry with rice. Everything beautifully and quickly served. Very friendly and courteous service that deserves a special mention. If you feel like eating something exceptionally delicious, plus in a pleasant atmoshere you can't miss Sophie's Cafe.

Wir wurden sehr warmherzig von der Chefin und vom Team empfangen und haben einen sehr angenehmen Abend verbracht und das Essen sehr genossen. Nice restaurant with very good cuisine.

We did 7 days in berchtesgaden and this was the final meal stop for us Friday. The food was fantastic and the service was the best we experienced on our trip. The roasted vegetables were the best I ever had and the beef roast was the most flavor I ever experienced! We loved it gave the Kellner a 20euro tip for just the 2 of us.. Highly suggest this place!

We were able to get to know Sophie’s Cafe at a reception. The very friendly staff gave us an experience in the very nice atmosphere, with the terrace right on the park. The selected finger food buffet was a delight. A recommended address!

We went there spontaneously after a hike and we got a table and the food was really good with a very good ambience.. the service was really friendly too… Definitely recommend 😊

We were looking forward to a delicious coffee. Unfortunately the two flat whites I ordered were subpar. The fact that we didn't like the taste could be due to the bean used and is a matter of taste, but unfortunately the entire flat white was poorly crafted. The milk foam was coarse-pored and didn't bond with the "espresso", it just floated carelessly on top of the espresso, which was far too long. So there was coarse foam on tasteless cafe cream without latte art. The cheese cake was OK. The service was friendly at first, but unfortunately extremely unfriendly when paying. When we wanted to pay by card, the device was brought out silently, shaking our heads and rolling our eyes. When asked whether card payments were bad, they said "actually only from €20 onwards". If the waitress had told us directly, it wouldn't have been a problem to pay the amount in cash.

Vegetarian food options are really good. We had the Wok, which was basically Thai curry and rice, but it was tasty. It is more expensive than other restaurants in the area though.

Excellent meal at an affordable price. If you like chanterelles, this is the place.

Small café restaurant in the middle of Berchtesgaden right next to the spa park and the tourist information center. Relaxed atmosphere and tasty food. The service was friendly and attentive. We liked it, especially the outdoor seating area facing the small spa garden.

I really liked Sophie's Café. With a view of the Berchtesgaden spa gardens, I ate well and drank a delicious beer from the local brewery. The service was friendly and hardworking. There was nothing - really nothing - to complain about. Unreservedly recommended. Addendum summer 2024: Went there again and didn't regret it. Great and friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and good food. I hope that this café will continue to exist for a long time and that I will be able to be a guest there again in the coming years.

We have been visiting Berchtesgaden for 11 yrs from North Wales and always visit Sophie’s. The food is always superb and this visit was no exception. Sophie herself is always so helpfull and pleasant. The surroundings add to the wonderful experience.
