Extremely delicious and friendly staff! We always enjoy coming here and are already looking forward to our next visit!

The sushi was great. The staff is friendly and professional, tempting you to keep ordering 😆. The hot dish (Yaki Udon) was also excellent.

From the outside, it's a bit unremarkable; we almost walked right past. BUT: both the cocktails and the food are creative and a feast for the eyes and palate! Perfect service, you feel so welcome! A must-visit!!!

Every member of the staff is, without exception, friendly and attentive. The food tastes great, the menu is varied, and we found the prices very fair. Highly recommended! I have no complaints.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had cocktails and mocktails, as well as the three-course menu. The waiter was super friendly and gave us detailed advice. The atmosphere at Karli in the evenings in the summer is always fantastic. Since we sat outside, I can't really say much about the interior.

Very good sushi. We had a very quiet corner, and the service was excellent. The decor is very modern and created a very pleasant atmosphere. The portions were a bit small, which only made you want to order more. :D I don't think there was much choice for vegans/vegetarians.

We wanted to try Asian food in Leipzig and came across this restaurant! I highly recommend it to everyone! It's truly upscale, so the price is a bit higher, but it's completely justified! The sushi, in particular, is highly recommended and the service is excellent – after all, eating is a feast for the eyes too ;-)

There's nothing to complain about; everything is fresh and delicious, and the service is fantastic and friendly. I can only recommend it. We come here often, and for us, it's the best sushi in town.

The food was incredibly delicious and the service was very friendly. You sometimes had to wait a little longer for your order, but it was still acceptable. We had the salmon summer rolls and the coconut shrimp soup for starters. I thought it was a shame there were only two shrimp in the soup, but it was still incredibly delicious. The summer rolls came with peanut sauce (I love peanut sauce), but perhaps they could serve a hoisin sauce or something similar (I know, that's a bit of a nitpick 😂). For our main course, we had the sushi platter for two (you and me), and our requests were accommodated, so we were very satisfied. Dessert was also a must, so we had the motchi ice cream (I actually found it a bit small for the price) and the cheesecake. Also very good. All in all, it was really nice and delicious, but the price was a bit of a letdown (just under €140 with four drinks and two six-piece small maki to go). But yes, sushi is a bit more expensive, and if it's well-made (which it definitely was here), it's worth the price to me. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much and keep up the good work.

My absolute favorite restaurant for sushi and Asian cuisine in Leipzig. The food is excellent and always a wonderful taste experience. The staff is also very attentive. Sona is on the expensive side, but if you want to treat yourself, you'll definitely get a great deal for your money. On some days, they offer very affordable lunchtime dishes. These are also excellent and highly recommended.

Best sushi experience in a long time.

Today, after a museum visit, we spontaneously stopped by our favorite spot in Leipzig and wanted Asian food. We can definitely recommend Sona, and we're very spoiled when it comes to Asian food. Great, friendly service with recommendations. We discovered new flavors. Clean, nice atmosphere. We'll be back anytime, keep up the good work.

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Besuch bei SONA! Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ich durfte dort sogar ein kleines Zauberkunststück vorführen, was für tolle Stimmung und staunende Gesichter gesorgt hat. Ein Ort mit Seele und guter Energie absolut empfehlenswert!

I visited Sona Leipzig yesterday and received not just a friendly, but a truly magical welcome. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and warm. You immediately feel at home there. I even got to perform a little table-hopping magic, which was received with great enthusiasm. You don't experience this open, positive atmosphere often—and it makes a visit to Sona something truly special.

Super delicious sushi, everything freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive. I'll be back!

Das Personal und das Essen sind einfach spitze. Wir sind so herzlich in Empfang genommen das wir uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt haben.

So gut gegessen dass wir am 2. Abend gleich wieder hier gewesen sind. Tolles Essen, super Service und nettes Ambiente. Preis-Leistung 👍 Immer wieder gern! Cool auch dass man nach 21 Uhr 20% auf alles bekommt

Wir waren zum Geburtstag meiner Verlobten hier essen und ich hatte im Vorfeld angeben das sie Geburtstag hat. Der Tisch wurde noch mal extra dekoriert und die Stimmung war großartig. Das Essen war fantastisch. Die Bedienung war überaus aufmerksam wenn irgendwas fehlte. Und es gab wirklich rein gar nichts zu kritisieren. Eine Empfehlung für jeden Sushi Liebhaber. Es sind auch für nicht Sushi Liebhaber genügend Alternativen vorhanden.

We went spontaneously and got a table for two. We were served quickly, the waitresses made pleasant drink recommendations, and the meal was delicious. Vegetarian requests were easily accommodated, and we were happy to try something unusual. It was very tasty, friendly, and accommodating.

Sona is one of the best places to enjoy excellent Japanese cuisine in Leipzig. The appetizers are exceptionally delicious, and the sushi is simply delicious. The dry-aged tuna is also highly recommended. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Their expertise and experience allow them to answer all questions and provide excellent advice on the choice of dishes. All in all, we had a very successful evening at this restaurant.

Why do they always skimp on the cheapest component of sushi: the rice? Compared to Japan, the rolls are too small. (I've been to Japan 5 times for comparison.) Service was excellent.

A harmonious evening with a meal that delighted everyone : fresh , beautifully prepared , unusual creations , surprising effects and of course excellent tasting .

Myself and my partner had an excellent meal at Sona, we had a few dishes to share and all were lovely, we would’ve loved to see a few more options for gyoza as this was the only thing we felt lacking more flavour. Our server Minh, was really welcoming and spoke to us in English as well as German, which helped for me since I do not speak German. He also was very engaging and helped recommend dishes. My only critique would be how it was quite busy, so I did feel the servers were a bit pressured time wise (at least outside) and couldn’t check on us often enough, at no fault of their own. I would also suggest maybe having homemade mochi or change it for something else, as an avid mochi lover I knew it was the supermarket stuff! Highly recommend the cheesecake though!

In my opinion, the price/performance ratio isn't right. There wasn't enough sushi on the platter for two people. For that money, you can definitely get much better sushi in Leipzig. It doesn't taste terrible, but it's not worth the €60-70 per platter either. The sashimi pieces were way too tiny.
