Very tasty, freshly prepared food, homemade pasta

I was thrilled with my visit to somedimsum! I was really impressed by the variety and creativity of the dim sums on offer - each one was not only a visual highlight, but also a real taste experience. I particularly liked the treats wrapped in lettuce: fresh, refined and with a great combination of flavors. Treat yourself to surprising variations. I'll definitely be back! And at the end there is a fortune cookie ;)

We had a good experience in this restaurant, overall food is quite tasty, there are some dumplings which were very reach in taste, some were a bit dull (like a cheese ones). Would also be great if there would be some spicy options or a spicy sauce (chili oil wasn’t really spicy in our opinion, but still tasty). Overall good service and nice diner option, would definitely come back.

Ordered food online and was very excited for it. Sadly the noodles are so extremely over salted that i could barely get any down. I hate to say this but the food is the worst i had so far. Order only if you like very salty and sour food.

The food was very tasty, unfortunately the service was once again very slow and inattentive. So we don't know yet whether we'll be back.

Unfortunately the food was pretty tasteless. There was neither soy sauce nor salt shakers when we asked. We found the price of the noodles cheeky. A small portion (205) with spring onions, cucumber and sesame for €17. Homemade or not, that's an exaggeration. The dumplings were okay. The consistency was strange and the taste was nothing special. We won't be coming back.

So I've tried a lot and gained a lot of experience! But this is really a gem of a store. So delicious and special! Incredible service, it's super and incredibly attentive. You don't have to season any dish because everything is delicious - umami at its best

We tested the store and ordered 3 different dumplings. Even though the shop was almost empty, it took 45 minutes until we had some of the food. 1/3 was mixed up. The taste of the food is absolutely not Asian. Furthermore, a matter of taste. If you want dim sum, you should get frozen ones from an Asian store and steam them at home. Definitely the better alternative.

Always worth a visit! The homemade dumplings are a dream, we love the classics, but we are also always surprised by new creations and even impressed with dessert! Thank you very much and see you very soon!

Here you will find a modern interpretation of Chinese dim sum. Everything has its own signature and every dumpling tastes different. Finally something different!

There were three of us there, everything tasted great. We particularly liked the Handpulled Biang Biang, definitely try the eggplant with it.

Paying 7.50 for half a handful of wild broccoli and soy sauce is really cheeky. At this price you would expect something different. Paid a total of 19 euros for the meal and wasn't nearly full.

I find the portions a bit too small for the price. But otherwise it tastes really good. What else I noticed was that it was really cold in the restaurant. The heating was turned up, but you were still incredibly cold at 2° outside temperature.

We tried SomeDimSum for the first time and overall we were quite satisfied. We ordered a selection of different dumplings to share - it was great thanks to the flexible portion selection and you could even choose the method of preparation. I was happy with my choice and found the Korean Fried Chicken with Salad to be a nice, varied addition. The service was super friendly and gave us good advice. We found the homemade kombucha particularly tasty - both types were great :) Next time I would probably try the main dishes, like the hand-pulled wheat noodles. If you're looking for super authentic dumplings, this might not be the right place for you, as they are interpreted a bit more creatively - but delicious 🥟

We were there for the first time today and were not disappointed. The ambience is authentic and the service was great! The menu had something for everyone, making it almost difficult for us to choose. The dishes were prepared quickly and delighted our taste buds! So delicious! We definitely weren't there for the last time!

Delicious biang biang noodles with beef and wontons

That's not how I imagine an "insider tip".

We were completely satisfied: the dumplings looked very appealing, were really tasty and authentically seasoned. We also liked the size and amount of filling. The Homemade Chinese Noodles had a good bite and also tasted very authentic (we had the Black Garlic Noodles). The Crispy Chili Oil has it all;). A small problem with the order was responded to quickly and very accommodatingly - that's how I imagine good service, thank you very much! Gladly again!

The restaurant is very cramped, the tables are packed close together and there is not an ounce of personal space. The food tastes like your favorite food, average. The filling in the dumplings is dry, everything is very chopped up, no consistency. The hall itself is dirty, the glasses are dirty and the tables are not wiped down. The mug was very dirty, it had plaque on it after a few servings of tea. The waiter doesn't have a uniform, which makes the atmosphere even worse. There is no music, you can only hear the kitchen and the shouts of the cooks and the waiters

Ein echtes Highlight in Hamburg! Während unseres Städtetrips nach Hamburg waren wir zu zweit bei SomeDimSum – und es war eine fantastische Erfahrung! Wir haben zum ersten Mal Dumplings probiert und waren absolut begeistert. Die verschiedenen Variationen waren köstlich, und wir konnten gar nicht genug bekommen. Wir haben uns einfach quer durch die Karte durchprobiert – jede Sorte war ein Genuss! Besonders empfehlen können wir die hausgemachte Limonade – super erfrischend und perfekt zu den Dumplings. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war gemütlich, und der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. SomeDimSum ist definitiv ein kulinarisches Highlight. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Dumplings lieben oder sie einmal probieren möchten!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider mussten wir sehr lange darauf warten. Es machte den Eindruck, dass die Küche unterbesetzt war und dass der Außerhaus-Verkauf bevorzugt wurde. Außerdem fehlte ein Vorhang vor der Tür sodass das andauernde Öffnen der Tür dazu geführt hat, dass war langsam aber sicher durchgefroren waren. Auf den für die Wartezeit angebotenen Nachtisch aufs Haus haben wir deshalb verzichtet.

Wir wurden nett empfangen und durften auf Wunsch auch den Tisch nochmal wechseln. Das Essen war gut, aber die gebratenen Dim sum ein wenig zu wässrig bzw fettig. Das korean crispy checken war hervorragend. Leider wurden uns die Dips nur kommentarlos hingestellt ohne zu sagen, was es ist. Im Großen und Ganzen hat man sich Mühe gegeben die Location stylisch zu gestalten. Es ist auch nicht ungemütlich, dennoch deutlich mehr Imbiss Atmosphäre als man sich anhand der Homepage vorgestellt hatte.

Alles super! Das Essen und der Service waren hervorragend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

So first I have to say that the food is actually a clear 5 star. Unfortunately, the only problem is that the price doesn't match the portion size. I'm always willing to pay more for good food, but I personally find it unsatisfactory to be stingy with the quantity. I can only advise against the dumplings! Ordered 2 x 3 dumblings for around €13-14. They are very few and very small. Tasted mediocre. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were very, very tasty and the portion size was okay but certainly not large. Edit: The one Dumblings were even more expensive than the €5.40 Dumblings. They were with cheese. I'm really sure of that. Maybe instead of €13-14 it was €11-12. LG

The black garlic noodles with tofu were very tasty and we also enjoyed the dumplings! The food should have been spicy for my taste, as it was marked as spicy on the menu.

The service was very nice and the ambience is quite nice. Unfortunately, the food is anything but authentic. The dumplings are very dry both inside and out. Typically, good dumplings should have a crispy layer on the bottom and be juicy on the inside. The inside of the dumplings is more reminiscent of a small, dry meatball. The crispy pork belly is okay, nothing special and relatively expensive. I thought the pasta dish was the worst. The consistency of the noodles was good, but the dish tasted charred. When I asked if this was normal, the chef said that it was the taste of garlic. As an Asian woman, I often use fermented garlic in cooking and am therefore skeptical. It tasted charred, as if the entire sauce pot had burned and people had happily continued to scoop the sauce out of it. If you're looking for authentic food, you've come to the wrong place. I have never been so disappointed with food and all the good reviews are a mystery to me.

Really extremely tasty but too spicy and especially the dumplings are really really expensive. Otherwise only recommended!!! Very fresh and real art!!

Wir waren zu dritt da und haben einfach alles in die Mitte des Tisches gestellt und geteilt. Das Essen und der Service sind hervorragend, wir hatten Dumplings und Nudeln und es gab nichts daran auszusetzen, außer dass wir die köstlichen Specials zu spät entdeckt haben. Aber somit bleibt etwas für den nächsten Besuch :-)

Wir hatten einen richtig schönen Abend bei SomeDimSum! Das Essen war super lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist zwar nicht besonders edel, aber trotzdem angenehm und gemütlich. Die Preise passen zur Qualität. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder!

Alles super. Wer hier was zu meckern hat, will entweder meckern oder hat keine Ahnung. Besonders zu empfehlen, die Wildschwein Dumplings und die eingelegte Gurke. Unbedingt die Pandan-Waffel zum Dessert probieren.

The ambience was okay, the service was good, but unfortunately the order of the dishes was mixed up. The kitchen was obviously already practicing for a switch to Italian, but I can't explain the dough thing any other way. We had, among other things, Dim sum that were stuck together so tightly that you couldn't get them out of the basket individually. The dough was the thickness of tortellini - even thicker - so that you could taste the filling, you had to remove it from the dough coating. That wasn't difficult since you could only free the parts from the basket in fragments anyway. The home-made noodles were then able to significantly exceed the thickness. A rolling pin would have helped the entire dough story - a little more rice flour and seasoning too. Next time back to He at the train station, never here again.

The atmosphere is nice. The house specialty is Dumplins. There are portions of 3,6 or 9 pieces. They can also be taken frozen to make at home. The Nudeln with cheese were very good. A special and different flavor. The service was friendly and good.

This place is the BOMB🤩 we ate the best dumplings here and what a service that you can actually buy their dumplings as takeaway for at home! They offer amazing homemade lemonades and the staff is super friendly! have recommended this place to several people already!

Very thin overall. Dim sums are ready-made products. Chopped down to the smallest detail, shaped by machine and then packed into dough pieces. Noodles average. Portion too small for the price. Not recommended.

Ein wirkliches Erlebnis und endlich mal was anderes, in diesem Asia-Einheitsbrei. Frische, qualitativ hochwertige Gerichte mit einem Twist. Sowohl Dumplings als auch Nudeln, sowie die Specials, alles auf den Punkt. Kostet vielleicht 2,-€ mehr als der durchschnittliche Asiate, aber das bin ich gerne bereit zu zahlen für so eine Geschmacksexplosion. Wer hier was auszusetzen hat, will halt einfach meckern. Gerne bald wieder!

We ordered it via Ubereats, firstly the order was not completely fulfilled, there were still a few dumplings missing, some dumplings were only half baked and raw. Disgusting. 🤢

Leider hat uns das Essen gar nicht geschmeckt. Die Dim Sun ohne besondere Soße. Nur Soja Soße und Wasabi Mayo. Schade! Ein Teil unserer Bestellung wurde falsch aufgenommen und nicht korrigiert. Für das Trinkgeld wurde sich nicht bedankt.

This is a good place to meet up in the evening and have a bite to eat. However, the drug addicts from the nearby Schanzenpark come in to beg.

We had the handpulled noodles and unfortunately we didn't like it at all. The noodles themselves were ok, maybe a little too wide and thick (hence a bit lumpy). But the sauce was just not tasty at all and not like what we really know from Asia. The topping was also simply fried to death and didn't taste like anything. The dumplings we had with it tasted ok. We didn't get full from the portion of pasta either. The bowl wasn't even half full and for €17 per portion!!! We would therefore not recommend the food here to anyone. So the search for delicious Biang Biang noodles in Hamburg continues.

I agree with the other rather negative reviews. It was incredibly expensive for the fact that it wasn't tasty. The beautiful dumplings were not fried, but fried to death. The other pasta dishes were completely over-seasoned. No love in the food

By far the best dumplings and the best handpulled noodles I have ever eaten in Hamburg!!! Simply DELICIOUS!! Whether you're a Hamburger or a vacationer in Hamburg... you should definitely have been there :-)

Really interesting experience. We tried several dumplings with different preparation and all of them had a clear identity. The taste is very well defined and delicious. Duck is my favorite, but try Thai bites too.

Es war einfach der Wahnsinn! Mega lecker und eine gigantische Auswahl. Für jeden Geschmack genau was dabei. Ein Besuch lohnt sich und wir waren nicht zum letzten Mal da.

We ate here in the evening and it was tasty, but not great. The service was super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was nice and everything was neat. We had the Black Garlic Noodles and the Spicy Biang Biang handpulled Noodles. Both were good and the size was sufficient, unfortunately the handpulled noodles stuck together so much that some of them were lumps of dough. The Black Garlic Noodles were very tasty and went perfectly with the sauce. The food looks even more special online, I wouldn't necessarily come back.

Sehr nettes kleines Restaurant mit sehr nettem Service. Die Dumplings waren sehr unterschiedlich gebraten - bei den einen genau richtig, bei den anderen viel zu stark. Die Kimchi 'n' Cheese Udon Noodles waren grundsätzlich sehr lecker, leider war bei aber in der veganen Variante (Tofu/Aubergine) eine sehr starke Soße dabei, die dann für uns alles dominierte. Das ein ein wenig too much für einige von uns.

I also find it very difficult to evaluate. Unfortunately it took half an eternity for the order to be taken and then only because I let you know. It really took forever. We were also about to get up and eat somewhere else. When the waiter was there, he was really super charming and sweet. The Biang Biang noodles were ok, a bit too saucey for me, but also had the vegetarian version, the other portions didn't look like that. It was tasty, but it didn't blow me away either. The dumplings were probably delicious. Unfortunately, the service was very, very poor. I didn't find it quite suitable for the price, it's very expensive. Maybe I would give it another chance at some point and e.g. also try something else. The food wasn't bad per se :) The lovely service should definitely be more present. The ambience, especially the path to the toilets, is very nicely decorated. All in all, a good 3.5. Unfortunately, this cannot be stated.

Disappointing restaurant experience I would like to share my experience in this restaurant that I recently visited. Unfortunately, my visit was anything but satisfactory. Portion and price: The portions were very small. For a dish that costs €18, I definitely expect more. The price was absolutely outrageous for what was on offer. Quality of the food: The food was very oily and tasted mediocre. It didn't impress me and was far from what I expected. Service: I had to wait a whole hour for my food, which is way too long. Additionally, one of the drinks I ordered was expired. This is unacceptable and an absolute no-go. Conclusion: Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The combination of small portions, inflated prices, mediocre taste and poor service makes it a place I will avoid in the future.

The dumplings are heavenly good and the kimchi udon noodles are Soo creamy and delicious. The waitress was incredibly sweet and the food came really quickly.🫶🏻 10/10 would definitely eat again.

The dumplings are excellent and seem well thought out. There is something for every taste, including many vegan varieties. We'll try the noodles next time. All in all one can only say, keep it up!

Very difficult to rate... To put it bluntly, we didn't like the food at all. The advertising on Instagram was tempting, the reality was sobering. If you think of real Asian dumplings, you will be seriously disappointed here. You can choose between 3, 6 or 9 pieces and then between fried or steamed. Ok, so far. But the quality is far removed from the Far Eastern delicacies. Everything is pretty floury, the taste is fairly uniformly soggy and the fried dim sum is hard and coated in thick dough. You won't find a starter soup, the baked wontons are nicely prepared, they just don't taste like wontons. As a sauce there is a wasabi cream (tastes only slightly of wasabi) and a very thin lemon ginger sauce (?). There is nothing more. But, the service was very nice and good too. Because we had to wait a long time due to a technical defect in the steamer, we got a waffle for free as a dessert. When we said that we didn't like it at all, we got another 6 dim sums for free. One thing is the money, the other is the super nice, understanding and listening service. This shouldn't go unmentioned. Thanks for that! In total we paid 75 EUR for 2 people, which is not at all proportional. Then next time go back to Mr. He at the train station. Everything fits there.

An absolute disappointment! Advertising on IG, TikTok and co. & tastes like the last Asian stall on the corner. Waiting for over an hour even though there was nothing going on (only table on a Sunday at 5 p.m Food tastes bad! Service well ok… at least 1 star. Toilet dirty. First & last time with you at the same time.

We were there on Saturday and unfortunately the food didn't impress us. We had hoped for significantly more from the advertising/collaborations on Instagram. As a starter we had the Korean Fried Chicken, which we really enjoyed compared to the dumplings. Unfortunately, the dumplings we tried (chicken kimchi, shrimp, beef, etc.) didn't convince us. Unfortunately, we found the fried dumplings to be too crispy, so it almost felt like chips to us. The consistency of the steamed dumplings was much better but the filling itself was unsatisfactory. What's important to mention is that we had an incredibly great waiter!!! He took care of everything and provided a meal (as compensation). He was always approachable and really had a heart!!!

Es war eine absolute Enttäuschung. Über 1h auf das Essen gewartet und es war nichts los. Dann noch schlechte Zubereitung und geschmacklich echt schlecht! Der einzige Stern ist für den Kellner.

A must for anyone who likes dumplings (also vegan) but the sauces are amazing. The broccoli and cucumber salad are also highly recommended. It's a taste explosion in your mouth.

Absolutely disappointing dumplings, the dough was far too thick, the filling was an inedible pile of unidentifiable mass. The noodles are edible, but even that has little to do with Dan Dan noodles.

We had a delicious meal here a year ago and were more than satisfied. Now it was clear that a visit to your restaurant couldn't be missed on this trip to Hamburg. What can I say, it was a complete success again. Both the dumplings and the “Black Garlic Bowls” were absolutely amazing. If we spend another weekend in Hamburg in the near future, we will come back.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Aufmerksamer Kellner der festgestellt hat dass die Musik im hinteren Bereich etwas zu laut war. Preis Leistung einfach sehr gut. Wir hatten die 203 und 204 dazu 103 (gedämpft und gebraten) 107 und noch die 101 zum Abschluss. Die hausgemachten Eisteesorten sind auch sehr lecker, konnte beide probieren, Ingwer ist hier definitiv mein Favorit. Sehr lohnenswerter Besuch. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall öfter wieder. Danke an die Hamburger Jungs auf Youtube die uns diesen tollen Ort gezeigt haben

Wir waren gestern mit der Familie das erste Mal dort essen. Hoffe es war super und die Gerichte waren wirklich super lecker . Wer Lust hat mal was anderes asiatisches auszuprobieren, als nur Ente süßsauer ist hier genau. Verschiedene Geschmäcker und gute Zutaten. Wir können das mal empfehlen. !

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen (obwohl wir zu früh kamen). Die Karte wurde uns erklärt, Speisen empfohlen- wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Modern DIM SUM restaurant, interpreted in a modern way and implemented in a modern way, not traditional dim sum like at the Chinese restaurant. I had cucumber salad with chilli and spices beforehand, very tasty! Main course Korean chicken in a great chili sauce that was well seasoned and delicious, and Grandma He grilled the pork belly with various spices. Plus a homemade lemonade with ginger and mint. Price/performance ratio is right, and I'll probably come back to eat more often! Clear recommendation!

DimSum tasty, but apart from two types (beef teriyaki + Thai curry) not outstanding/super special. Service was very nice, but quite slow, unfortunately we couldn't eat together. Price-performance could be better. Coconut dessert very tasty!

As asian foodie, i expect more from this restaurant as i found this from insta food vlogger. An overrated restaurant! I had szechuan hand cut noodle. It tasted so salty and the portion for the price was considered small! I couldn’t taste the szechuan pepper at all! Service quite slow as well. I prefer to go to cyn cyn for better taste and quality noodles. Furthermore, if the staff is sick, please stay at home. It gave me bad vibes before eating hearing the runny nose the whole time especially during order.

Unfortunately, price and performance were far apart. The portions were very small and many of the dishes were unfortunately significantly below the quality of other dumpling restaurants in Hamburg. Small recommendation.
