SOLAR Sky-Bar Restaurant Lounge in Berlin

Ich war hier zu einem Geschäftsessen und hatte einen wirklich schönen Abend. Die Atmosphäre war elegant und gleichzeitig entspannt, und der Service war den ganzen Abend über professionell und aufmerksam. Ich bestellte das Chateaubriand vom Black Angus, das perfekt zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft war. Die Burrata als Vorspeise war ebenfalls frisch und ausgewogen. Die Speisen waren von hoher Qualität und sehr ansprechend präsentiert. Ein exzellentes Restaurant für Geschäftsessen und besondere Anlässe. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Exzellenter Service, Englisch und Deutsch wurden gesprochen. Sehr gut und professionell. Nicht zu teuer, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Nur der halbe kanadische Hummer war zu klein und die Soße zu knoblauchlastig.

Coole Location. Verwinkelt, sehr gemütlich gemacht. Man hat eine tolle Aussicht. Kreative Drinks und es gibt auch DJs.

Das Essen war sehr teuer. Das vegetarische Essen war reine Geldverschwendung! Wir hatten auch ein nicht-vegetarisches Gericht, das war in Ordnung, aber 60 € pro Person sind dafür definitiv zu viel!

Ich war mit einer Freundin zu Besuch auf einen Drink in der Bar. Trotz Höhenangst haben wir die Auffahrt mit dem Fahrstuhl geschafft. Oben angekommen, geht es durch das Restaurant zur Bar in den 18ten Stock. Toller Ausblick, schon bei der Auffahrt. Oben angekommen, empfängt einem eine Bar, mit dunklem samtigen Sitzmöglichkeiten (auch Schaukeln). Leider ist der Laden etwas unsauber, heißt der Boden klebte. Für Essen wurden Getränke bewertet: Die Cocktails für im Schnitt zwischen 15-18Euro sind sehr lecker gewesen und nicht mit den eines unten gelegenen Cancun vergleichbar. Man zahlt eben die Aussicht mit. Wir haben eine kurze Weile hier verbracht und eben diese genossen, bei herzlichstem Berliner Wetter. Der Service war nett und freundlich, wenn man auch auf sich aufmerksam machen musste. Die Karte ist über einen QR Code einsehbar. Als Ausflugziel ein nette Location über den Dächern Berlins.

Es sind nicht nur die besonders sorgfältig ausgesuchten Zutaten, es ist auch die Leidenschaft am Kochen, die das Essen besonders machen. Der perfekt Service dazu und der Abend ist perfekt.

Obwohl wir eine tolle Zeit mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht hatten, ist es ein besonders teures Restaurant. Cocktails kosten beispielsweise zwischen 16 und 19 Euro, aber abgesehen davon würde ich das Restaurant trotzdem zum Essen empfehlen.

Personal war sehr nett und hat mir einen leckeren Drink empfohlen. Top. 👍 Abzug im Ambiente gibt es nur für die vermutlich schwer zu reinigenden Fenster von Außen.

Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant mit Panoramablick über die Stadt. Das gemütliche Obergeschoss dient als Bar und bietet eine noch bessere Aussicht. Der Kellner sprach an diesem Tag Französisch, das Essen war köstlich, nur etwas teuer, aber gut 😋😅

Drinks waren in Ordnung aber eher teuer für alkoholfrei. Sehr laute Musik, man kann sich kaum unterhalten. Service kam nicht von selber sondern man musste an Bar gehen um zu bestellen. Ingesamt ok, aber eher nicht zu empfehlen.

Was für ein wunderschöner Abend mit meinen Mädels im SOLAR. 💛 Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt – der Service war einfach herzlich und aufmerksam, das Essen ein absoluter Genuss. Jeder Bissen hat gezeigt, wie viel Liebe und Leidenschaft hier drinsteckt. Alles war bis ins kleinste Detail perfekt abgestimmt, und genau das macht den Unterschied: Man spürt die Liebe wirklich in allem. Ein Abend voller Lachen, Genuss und unvergesslicher Momente – wir kommen ganz sicher wieder! ✨

Gemischte Gefühle... Wir waren über Ostern in Berlin Freunde besuchen. Ich habe selbst mal in Berlin gelebt und 3 Jahre im Service einer Sterneküche gearbeitet und viel von der Küche gelernt, seither liebe ich gutes Essen und bin bereit viel Geld auszugeben für gute Küche! Der Service war durchweg äußerst aufmerksam und schnell, das sei gesagt. Ich hatte die Karte vorher schon online durchgeschaut und sowohl die Sharing Menüs als auch die einzelnen Gerichte gefunden. Ich wusste, wir wollen nicht sharen ;) Als wir bestellen wollten, wurde uns freundlich erklärt, dass "sich die sharing Platten schon am ehesten lohnen, auch preislich und man von allem etwas zum probieren und eben zum sharen hat". Was wir nicht wussten: Die Portionen sind (vom Auge) gleich groß einzeln, wie im sharing bestellt. Dementsprechend kam der Hauptgang meines Partners; Lachs Tom kha gai style in einer beilagengroßen Schüssel an. Leider ein riesiger Fail, wohl aus fehlender Kommunikation von was wir haben möchten und dem Konzept, was uns dato noch nicht ganz klar war (auch mit ein Gastfehler, ganz klar-man sollte wissen, was eines Restaurants Konzept ist, wenn man bucht xD) Das Essen selbst war sensationell, aber wir sind leider nach Kaviar, Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert mit Appetit nach hause gegangen. Klare Empfehlung: für das sharing Menü lohnt sich der Besuch bestimmt! Klare Abzüge mache ich aber in 2 Dingen: 1. Wenn man seine Sky Bar als solche stark bewirbt, würde ich mir auch saubere Fenster für einen wirklich schönen Blick wünschen Und 2. Kam unser Wein leider warm an. Der Kellner ließ ihn nach dem Probeschluck auf Wunsch nochmal 10 min im Kühler, einen 2. Probeschluck ob er nun kalt ist gabs aber nicht, es wurde voll eingeschenkt. Den Abend haben wir im Großen und Ganzen genossen, nochmal würden wir rein objektiv für uns aber nicht mehr kommen.

Eine außergewöhnliche Bar und Restaurant mit einem der schönsten Ausblicke über Stadt. Preise sind für die Location und den gebotenen Service angemessen. Für Raucher empfiehlt sich die Lounge in der Bar welche im separaten Bereich nicht weniger Comfort bietet als der Rest. Der gläserne Fahrstuhl ist der perfekte Beginn in einen entspannten Abend in der Bar oder dem Einzige negative Erfahrungen bisher: Gerade zu den späteren Abendstunden ist das Klientel in der Bar doch sehr jung und stark von sich überzeugt. Pöbeleien finden zwar eher außerhalb vom Solar statt, jedoch sind Sie nicht so selten wie man vielleicht vermutet.

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen anlässlich unseres Jahrestages. Wir wurden vom Anfang bis zum Ende hervorragend betreut – alle waren so freundlich. Alles, was uns empfohlen wurde, war köstlich. Wir konnten den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Auf unserem Tisch fanden wir außerdem eine liebevolle Nachricht zu unserem Jahrestag. Vielen Dank für alles.

Von 3 Seiten kann man über Berlin schauen. Cocktails inzwischen schon im 15 - 18 Euro Bereich. Man sitzt echt gut, um was zu sehen. Aus dem Panorama Aussenfahrstuhl Aussicht genießen 😀

Wir waren zum 60. Geburtstag eines Freundes im Solar in der Stresemannstraße und hatten einen rundum perfekten Abend vom Essen bis zur Bar einfach nur wow. Unten im Restaurant hat sich Marie großartig um uns gekümmert: super freundlicher Service, alles in Ruhe erklärt und das Essen war extrem hochwertig, perfekt zubereitet und einfach richtig lecker. Die Atmosphäre mit DJ im Hintergrund war der Hammer , stylisch, aber trotzdem entspannt, genau das Richtige für einen besonderen Anlass Ein riesiges Dankeschön auch an Arthur, der sich total herzlich um das Geburtstagskind gekümmert hat und spontan oben in der Bar noch einen Tisch für uns möglich gemacht hat. Oben in der Sky‑Bar war der Service weiterhin top mit Artur …. immer aufmerksam, schnell und super zuvorkommend. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir außerdem das ganze Serviceteam, angefangen mit dem entspannten Doorman bis hin zu Marie und Artur die all unsere Bestellungen hammermäßig im Griff hatten und durch ihrer Art, zu der Mega tollen Stimmung beigetragen haben Insgesamt ein absolut gelungener Abend mit erstklassigem Service, großartigem Essen und einer Atmosphäre, die man so schnell nicht vergisst… wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können Solar nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren am Sonntag dort und hatten einen wunderbaren Brunch. Sunday Session ist sehr zu empfehlen, weil es mal was anderes als den üblichen Brunch gibt. Wenn man mal was neues erleben essen möchte, dann sollte man hierher kommen. Der Service war auch sehr gut. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Uh, das war leider sehr ernüchternd. Restaurant und darüberliegende Bar bieten eine hervorragende Aussicht, erreichbar über Aussenfahrstuhl. Allerdings bezahlt man auch für die Aussicht. Das Essen mit Vor- und Hauptspeise passt meiner Meinung nach in Preis-Leistung nicht. Das Sitzen an den Tischen ist ok, aber die Nachbarn sind dicht dran. Die Bar oben war mit sehr jungen Leuten frequentiert und quasi voll. Personal aufmerksam und freundlich, Cocktails und Longdrinks gut, aber zu teuer. Dennoch besser als die Küche unten. Sorry, Leute.

Die Location gibt vom Ausblick viel her! Leider waren wir vom Essen & Service überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Bei einem Steak für knapp 50€ würde man erwarten, dass das Besteck hergerichtet und ein passendes Steakmesser bereitgestellt wird. Stattdessen musste man sich sein Besteck selbst zusammensuchen. Ähnlich beim Bier: Bei einem 8€ 0,3l Bier würde man erwarten, dass es in einem ordentlichen Glas ankommt, stattdessen wurde die Flasche hingestellt und man musste es selbst einfüllen. Grundlegend kein Problem, für diese Preisklasse aber alles andere als gut! Das Essen war ebenfalls mittelmäßig und sehr kleinlich, schade, es hätte mehr Potential gehabt!

We spontaneously went to the solar bar on the recommendation of a hotel employee and were blown away by the view. We actually had trouble finding the entrance. My personal drink recommendation is the Amaretto Sour!

SOLAR is no longer a hidden gem, but it's still well worth a visit. You reach the entrance via a parking lot; it's not the easiest place to find. In the past, guest selection at the door was very strict, but these days it's easier to get "upstairs." Upstairs, not only is the view over Berlin breathtaking, but the cocktails are also perfectly mixed. It's a bit noisy, a DJ plays on weekends, and you can also dine in the restaurant. If you have visitors in Berlin and want to show them the city from above—SOLAR is the place to be.

A very nice restaurant with a fantastic view over Berlin. The food was superb. Everything tasted amazing. The service was excellent; everything was explained as it was served. And the drinks upstairs in the bar are also great – perfect for a post-dinner drink. Highly recommended overall.

I had a wonderful experience at Solar Restaurant. The atmosphere is refined, the view is stunning, and the food is delicious, creative, and fresh. We also tasted an excellent non-alcoholic, fruity white wine. I celebrated my birthday here and really appreciated both the card and the kindness of the staff, who even sang "Happy Birthday." Highly recommended for a memorable dinner.

Very expensive, but also very cool. Anyone looking for something special should definitely go here. The noise level was a bit of a nuisance, but that might have been due to the Christmas parties that were taking place there.

There's also a wide variety of excellent drinks, perfectly complementing the stylish ambiance. A fantastic place for special evenings – great views, great food, relaxed atmosphere. A lovely restaurant on the 16th floor with breathtaking views over Berlin. We had the set menu and shared all sorts of delicious dishes! The food was great, but the service could be improved. As the evening wore on and the restaurant became more crowded, our waiter unfortunately became increasingly stressed and unfriendly.

Sure, but the prices used to be a bit more reasonable, and you could smash a few swigs in a private room. Nowadays, you pay €15 for a long drink and have to go down to the ground floor to smash a few swigs. But the view is still amazing, and the staff is friendly.

An absolute highlight, starting with the ride in the glass exterior elevator. The view from the restaurant is equally breathtaking, though you should reserve a table by the window in advance. The food is obviously expensive, but you get top quality for that. The steak, salad, and fries were impeccable, and the accompanying sauces were exceptional. The only drawback: there were no steak knives for the steak, and salt and pepper were also missing from the table. Afterwards, we went up one floor to the cocktail bar. The service was exceptionally friendly and gave us excellent advice on our cocktail selection. We'd love to come back!

One of my favorite cocktail places in Berlin. The drinks are great but the view is unbeatable. The bar has a chill atmosphere and probably the best view in town when you aim for a classy drink. The bartender's specials are the one to go for. A bit more expensive, but fully worth it.

A truly beautiful ambiance with a fantastic view of Berlin. The staff were very friendly, from the doorman to the bartender. The elevator on the outside of the building isn't for everyone; those with a problem with heights won't have a great time here. Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar are very expensive. We only went to the bar: currywurst with fries €15, no beer, mixed drinks starting at €15, and a 0.2l Coke for €4.50. Anyone who wants a table at the bar should reserve in advance. Overall, a nice experience for a special evening, but relatively overpriced for me.

We booked a table for 6 p.m. and were surprised by how many other guests were there at that rather early hour. The staff seemed very experienced and very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and it was fantastic 🤩 And not to forget - the wow factor: the view 👍 It wasn't the first time and certainly won't be the last - we'll be back✔️

Cool bar with a great atmosphere, delicious drinks, and fair prices. The doorman is very friendly, and the service is attentive and quick. All around, it's a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the smoking lounge has been removed, which is truly antisocial.

I was here for a networking event and did not have food. We were very crowded in the space, but it had a great vibe and amazing views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

You can't smoke anymore. What a pity!!!

It is a well trodden trope that restaurants with great views are complacent with their food, wowing diners with what is out the window, rather than what is on the plate. Solar isn’t one of those places. When we arrived, the security checked our booking, and sent us on our way up the elevator to the restaurant with a view. It is a cool space, and Berlin unfolds out of the large windows. We got there early, so saw the sunset, and watched the city light up as the evening progressed. Our evening started simply with a few drinks, the house Winzersekt Solar Rosé - was easy, crisp and light. I got a “Glorious Bastard” cocktail that was fun to order and drink. The food menu here is all about sharing. For starters we began with delicate tartlets and the croquettes. We paired these with a Riesling from Stahl, which was fresh and precise. The Warsteiner beer I also enjoyed. For mains, the Cordon Bleu, the Spanferkel (suckling pig) was tender and the crackling was satisfying. The half lobster was simply done and we enjoyed it. Each main was well portioned, well seasoned and plated with enough style, without being over thought. You have to get sides to complete the experience, and we went with the: buttery mashed potatoes, honeyed baby carrots, and the cauliflower. Each paired well with the mains and we left nothing for the kitchen to clear off the plates. We were sat next to a couple who got the Wagyu, and I asked them if they thought it was worth the cost, they said it was and was the best steak they’d ever had, they and all those around us were enjoying their experiences and sent their plates back empty and left happy. There were couples on dates, groups celebrating birthdays, and families catching up. People were coming here to celebrate, sharing a meal with people they love, and wanting a special night out in a special location. When I first arrived I was worried it was going to be mediocre and pretentious - but they avoid this well, and have made Solar into something delightful. The views will impress you, the food will comfort you, and the drinks and wine list are well considered. As evening progressed, we grabbed a last few photos of the city. On the elevator ride we left content, riding the elevator down to the wander back to the hotel glad we had found Solar, and made some memories there.

Unfortunately, the panoramic elevator was broken and therefore unusable. This, among other things, deducted one star for the ambiance. The food was excellent, not to mention a masterpiece. The service was top-notch, although, as is often the case, we didn't see it again after dessert and coffee. But throughout the entire evening, the staff were very attentive, present, and super friendly! We'll be back! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We visited solar yesterday. Our friends have been here a few times, and it was our first time. To sum it up: the visit was an experience! First, the location on the 16th/17th floor with a sensational view of the city. Then the food: we enjoyed the Summer Share menu, which was a flavor explosion, especially the vegan pulled pork! We paired it with a cocktail, wine, and sparkling wine. Everything was absolutely delicious. And to top it off, the extremely friendly and attentive service. We enjoyed the evening at solar to the fullest!
