It's a great location with a great view and very good food.

I enjoy being here often and often. Delicious drinks and dishes, waiters also very nice.

Wonderful place, drinks expensive for Berlin standards but okay Too bad they made us pay twice saying that the payment had not been successful. Update: after contacting the support email we were refunded the extra bill.

The place is a bit crowded, everyone were v close to each other but the food was very delicious.

If you want to have a stylish, exclusive, cozy evening - don't go there. The music is so loud that you have to yell and you sit on cheap plastic chairs. Also, the table was still full of liquids from the guests before and the service didn't care to clean that up before seating us. Cocktail was okay.

Absolutely recommended restaurant. The event started at the door. The reception was the first highlight, the bouncer. He knows what he's doing, finds the right words and makes the guest feel special before he takes the guests on the journey up in the glass elevator. The ambience cannot be beat. With the view over the city. After a reception in the bar, which is one floor above the restaurant, we dined in the restaurant. The menu was excellent, the products were of the best quality and absolutely innovative. We were able to show our international guests Berlin at its most beautiful, stylish, trendy and hip... The service was friendly, attentive and professional, everything arrived in a timely manner, beautifully presented and arranged.

Despite the fact that we had a reservation, security wouldn't let us in. The security man was very unfriendly and passive aggressive from the start. It's a shame because the bar itself is good.

Disappointing. We were a group of 14 friends. They charged us for two covers (€154) for absence due to COVID, even though we gave two days' notice, they wanted to sneak us three bottles of wine (at €50 each) (they served without asking), and we were able to discuss two with them. The food leaves a lot to be desired for a fixed price of €77 per head. And after all this they complained about the tip, we were stupid, we left €70! The only decent thing is the view when you go up in the elevator. We cost more than €100 per beard

Rude security/staff at the entrance that started yelling and not welcoming at all. I immediately left and would not recommend to come here where they treat guests so rudely. Pity that because of this accident, have to give the lounge 1 star.

Nice place with incredible views

A absolute touri trap. Over priced and not worth going. Unfortunately. Ordered main dish, the fish of the day. This portion (over dry) costs about 30€. When I asked the service, they were rude. The manager tho was very friendly and I explained to him after my visit. For those prices I expect an educated service knowing what they serve and being friendly to their guests. And even if portions are small, you should taste the quality. Both is not the case.

There weren't many bartenders up at the lounge on a Saturday evening and we had to wait a long time for our drinks.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting this 16th floor restaurant and absolutely loved it. It wasn't just the food that was a highlight - every course was a real taste explosion! We were impressed by the fresh ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. The ambience is just as outstanding: stylish, modern and cozy at the same time. But the absolute highlight was the view. From up here you have a breathtaking view over the whole of Berlin, which makes the entire dining experience unforgettable. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality of the food, the excellent service and the overall package - including the fantastic view - absolutely justify it. If you want to treat yourself to a special evening, this restaurant is definitely worth recommending!

The location above the rooftops of Berlin is great. Nevertheless, this location trumps me with its food like no other. In addition, the really perfect service and great advice to choose from. Always a pleasure and definitely a venue where I like to go with business partners

Really great location, with great service and good food. The drinks were great. Very expensive, but worth a visit and the view in the evening and at night is hard to beat. We were there as a team and had the Charing menu, something for everyone and lots of highlights. Thank you for the lovely evening with you, with you.

Very cool bar. High up in the sky. Has a cool private atmosphere. Beautiful lighting and a DJ that plays music at a nice level so you can still talk without raised voices.

We've been here about 5 times, but only on the second floor in Bar. The view here is wonderful. Except for the sticker on the glass, which prevents you from looking at the city. The atmosphere is good, there are different areas for spending time, even a swing. The price is above average. The cocktails are pretty good quality. My passion fruit cocktail cost about 16€.

Absolute recommendation! The Solar is a restaurant and bar in one with a view over the roofs of Berlin. The gentleman at reception on the ground floor was very polite and accommodating. This is how you want to be greeted! I had something to eat with my husband and other couples (the food is to die for, there are even vegan dishes on the menu) and then went to the bar one floor up. The view is stunning, the bar staff was nice, In general the atmosphere in the bar is a bit sleepy and could use more house/electro energy. Accordingly, there are many guests who dress very casually. Personally, I think that's a shame because the Solar is very stylishly equipped.

Today we went to the Solar-sky-Lounge &Restaurant .I would like to provide feedback on a bad experience we had with the security personnel. I would like to file a complaint about the security at the building. When we approached the guard to ask for permission to enter, he made us wait for several minutes and then rudely replied that it was ultimately his decision whether to let us in or not. This is completely unacceptable and we were shocked by his behavior. We expect better treatment and respect from the security staff. The person in charge was extremely rude towards us.We were trying to enter the building and he made us wait outside, asking why we weren't smiling. This was a completely unnecessary question and made us feel very upset. His behavior was unprofessional and he asked us silly questions. It was a very unpleasant experience and I would not recommend anyone to visit this place because of him. As a security personnel, it is important to have a polite and helpful attitude.

We had a wonderful evening at Solar. The food and service actually deserve more than 5 stars. Due to intolerances, the menu was spontaneously adapted for us.

Unfortunately, the website appearance promises more than the real life experience. The atmosphere is far from a fancy dinner, but rather has something more like a family restaurant with a view. In this context, the prices are also excessive. I think it's unjustified to charge over €30 for a baked potato with water. The staff varies in quality. While the first waitress was very rude and unfriendly, another was polite and friendly. In summary, I wouldn't come again, even if the view is very nice.

The Solar Bar on the 17th floor offers very good cocktails. The view is great. It's worth a visit.

The place it’s very amazing view and the music great

Very disappointing. We used to always enjoy coming here, but the cuisine has changed a lot to the detriment of our taste. The portions are tiny and the taste is absolutely monotonous and without sophistication. The fatal thing is that the menu doesn't say what you're served. Take the tartare for example, it is served ON 2 slices of bread with all sorts of stuff on top. I would never order this if I had known that I was getting a Hackepeter sandwich! Something like that just doesn't work. The fish was a soup - a bowl with broth and fish somewhere in it... that's super confusing and misleading and ultimately a huge EXPENSIVE disappointment for us! Not recommendable.

On the 17th floor of a West Berlin high-rise, this restaurant offers a magnificent view of the city; the ambience seems slightly seedy and worn. The waiters who served us were a mixture of bold and clueless. Especially the lady who told us with little enthusiasm about "some Asian spice" that was on our food. For €130 we still got a formidable dinner for two. The price was justified for the quantity and quality of the food. The Giotto cocktail was a bit too sweet, but good. 90 minutes at a lofty height: the view over Berlin was breathtaking and the food was great. If you can overlook the retro charm and a few flaws, you will experience an unforgettable evening here.

Mediocre cuisine at an overpriced price. There were pieces of bone in our little daughter's duck kebab and when we pointed it out there wasn't even an apology. Desserts an absolute disappointment and poor service. You should think about your new concept, a few years ago the kitchen was much better than it is now. It's a shame, but the price-performance ratio is by no means right here.

It was a good atmosphere and view over the city. My only issue was that some of our group had to go back to the hotel and change because they don't let you in if you wear a hat or wear shorts. Otherwise, we had some good memories here and it was a lot of fun.

We were invited to the restaurant by our business partner. The food was delicious and the service in the restaurant was also good. What ruined the experience for me, however, was the behavior of the “bouncer”. When we arrived at 6:30 p.m. and were looking for the entrance to the restaurant, my colleague apparently overlooked the “please knock” sign on the door and tried to open the door, whereupon the “bouncer” aggressively opened the door from the inside and shouted at us: “Why are you fiddling with my door?” When my colleague then apologized and suggested installing a bell or positioning the sign a little more prominently, he was approached with the words “take care of your shit”. When we later left the restaurant, we came across the bouncer again, who was now playing “Deutschrap” at full volume on a portable music box and dismissed us outside with an aggressive “stare”. Maybe it's part of the marketing concept or something, but such behavior from the "bouncer" doesn't fit with the "upscale" prices and ambience of the restaurant.

The spot is absolutely perfect. But the bouncer is the weirdest person you’ll meet there. I hope he’s high on cocaine, that’s the only explanation I would see to his behavior and the nonsense he’s talking…

Super tasty food, we were served by a very lovely employee (Suma), great music. The bar looks great and overall a great ambience, people and staff in a good mood. You get a great foreword to your dish, which is beautifully prepared, they say the eye is there and that is indeed the case here. We recommend!

Thanks to a tip we ended up in the Solar, very nice atmosphere, even the elevator ride is an experience. We had an attentive team and a lot of fun. The dishes were very varied and delicious. We really liked that it was always pointed out that you should feel free to share everything. We did that too. The meat was super tender and delicious. We will definitely come back again. After dinner we went to the bar and ended the evening over the rooftops of Berlin with one or two delicious cocktails.

The dishes are reinterpreted with regional products and there are great taste experiences 🤤. The dishes are very well seasoned and rich. The recommendation to take a menu was worth it ☺️. It was the chef's surprise menu with many different dishes in three courses, each with three to four different dishes on the menu. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's not a restaurant for every day, but it's a perfect place for certain occasions, whether with family or as a couple. Thanks to the Solar team for the lovely evening 💕✨💕

We were in your bar on March 22, 2024. A really great doorman/security guy greeted us there. After our two-hour stay (view amazing as always, drinks unfortunately not so good), we had the pleasure of speaking to the doorman again. It was totally funny, approachable and simply a nice encounter in your own city. Many stores need more cool guys like this! Thanks!

There were 6 of us and everyone didn't like it! The consistency of the different dishes were very peculiar. The sauces were also very reduced and therefore very salty. The roast beef salad for the starter tasted like a cheap meat salad from a discount store! Great for drinks but I absolutely cannot recommend the food.

I visited the bar with friends on March 22, 2024. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance downstairs and the young man was very entertaining and attentive. Unfortunately our cocktails were warm and didn't represent reasonable value for money. That's too bad.

It took them more than 1 hour to serve the food. Bread was burned. Steak was not cooked as requested. Extremely small plates. Waiters were not kind. The atmosphere and the place itself were nice.

The two of us were there last week to enjoy the sunset with soothing lounge music in combination with cocktails and were warmly welcomed by the receptionist right at the entrance. At the bar we had an excellent view of the whole of Berlin. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant. Next time we will definitely try the food in the restaurant area and then enjoy our drinks at the bar again

Very tasty food. The cocktails are good too. I recommend allowing enough time to enjoy a cocktail in the lounge after your meal. When it's dark, the view from the lounge is much better than from the restaurant. You pay accordingly for the view. Everyone has to know for themselves whether it's worth it. The service is mixed. The staff is generally super friendly. The fact that I hadn't printed out my voucher was a big problem. Why I should print out a voucher with a QR code is a mystery to me.

Mega unfriendly, arrogant shop. We expected more, but as soon as we got to the door we were treated very unfriendly and ignored! The door was closed in our faces twice without any words! It doesn't work at all!

Great view of Berlin in the dark. But somehow not in my price range. But it was our son's birthday, so you can do that. The bar is quite well hidden, so you won't find it accidentally.

Food was good, drinks nothing to complain about either. There's probably no music until 9pm on a Friday - there's more going on downstairs in the restaurant. Unfortunately service is zero. Even though there was nothing going on, the employees weren't very ambitious. A pity!

What a food experience!! We were thoroughly spoilt with the selection provided and loved every option, from the starters all the way through to the dessert. Had the most amazing Beef shoulder, fillet and black Angus portions, best beef we have had in Germany!! And so beautifully presented! Absolutely amazing service from the staff. A classic restaurant and bar with a breath taking view on the 26th floor. Great idea for a romantic date. It’s is quite expensive, and have great cocktails.
