Skihütte Fahlenscheid in Olpe

Die Skihütte Fahlenscheid bot eine begrenzte Speisekarte. Dafür gab es wohl ihre Gründe. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen ließ zwar etwas auf sich warten, aber die Aussicht entschädigte dafür allemal.

Für Wanderer, Radler, Biker und Downhill-Fetischisten, oder einfach zur Rast sind die Lokation, Aussicht und besonders die Verköstigung unglaublich empfehlenswert! Diesmal gab es Kuchen und Milchkaffee.

Der Koch sollte mal einen Kochkurs besuchen.

Schöne Location, Preise OK. Cappuccino stark, aber gut. Wunderbare Aussicht. Fein, dass NRW sowas hat.

Ich war als DJ für eine Hochzeitsfeier in der Skihütte gebucht, und eines steht außer Frage: Die Location ist klasse. Das Ambiente ist wirklich einmalig und bietet eine wunderschöne Kulisse für besondere Anlässe. Leider wurde dieser positive Eindruck durch das Verhalten der Betreiber deutlich getrübt. Obwohl sich keiner der Gäste über die Lautstärke beschwert hat – im Gegenteil, die Stimmung war ausgelassen und festlich – gab es ausschließlich seitens des Betreibers wiederholt scharfe Kritik mit Drohung den Stecker zu ziehen etc. Anstatt mit Feingefühl und konstruktiver Kommunikation auf die Situation zu reagieren, wirkten die Betreiber gereizt und wenig empathisch. Ihre Art des Umgangs war unprofessionell und hat unnötig Druck in eine ansonsten harmonische Feier gebracht. Selbst einige Gäste haben die Kritik mitbekommen und waren geschockt von alldem wie es abgelaufen ist. Die Location ist wirklich top, doch das Verhalten der Verantwortlichen lässt leider sehr zu wünschen übrig. Daher keine Empfehlung von meiner Seite.

You happen to pass the closed ski hut, enjoying the wonderful view, the well-kept terrace, and the gorgeous flowers, and think, "Now for a cold wheat beer!" And then a few kids come to the entrance (I assume they're the innkeeper's children) and treat us to cold drinks, despite it being closed. Thank you so much for the excellent service, which isn't something you can take for granted these days.

Visit on May 11, 2025 – unfortunately disappointing I went to the ski hut for the first time on May 11th, 2025 on the recommendation of my sister-in-law. We had reserved a table in advance for our group (8 people). The choice of food was manageable, but I didn't find that to be a negative thing. I ordered pork loin, five other people chose schnitzel with different sauces. When the plates were served, I was surprised by the extremely high proportion of fries: around 70% of the schnitzels and around 80% of my dish. The three small pork loins could hardly be found among the fries. Unfortunately, the fries themselves were pale, not crispy and rather disappointing in taste. I was offered a plate of replacement fries, but I declined - they weren't convincing anyway. The price of €23.50 for this dish is disproportionate to the quality delivered. For comparison: In another restaurant in Siegen-Eisern a few weeks ago I got a grill plate with four pieces of meat, fries and salad for €25 - much better and more harmonious. The salad in the ski hut looked good, but tasted rather neutral. The service also left a lot to be desired: I was sitting at the exit to the terrace and would have liked to have another drink, but no one came to ask for further requests. Conclusion: Next time I visit the bike park I will bring my own food. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the ski hut in terms of food and service. It's a shame - there's definitely still room for improvement here.

Really great gastronomy. Good value for money, generous portions. But...unfortunately no card payment possible (yet). Maybe it will be possible soon. Therefore unfortunately only 4 out of 5 stars. There may also be many visitors who have little or no cash with them. Despite the small flaw, we will come back. Certainly.

No card payments in 2024!! It's simply not possible. In the time of the coronavirus pandemic, cash has supposedly almost wiped us all out, and now nobody cares about card payments anymore. You hike all the way to the hut and can't even buy a drink.

The Fahlenscheid ski hut at the Bikepark OE is the perfect place to relax after an action-packed day. Whether after biking or in between, you can eat and drink well here – at fair prices! The view of the bike park is particularly a highlight. The food is fresh and tasty, and the service is friendly. The atmosphere also invites you to linger, you immediately feel at home. A must for anyone who wants to end the day on the bike. Clear recommendation for bikers and nature lovers!

A welcome stop after a strenuous hike.

Unfortunately, only cash payments are possible here, not card payments. (Hence the star deductions for service!!) The selection is manageable, but sufficient and tasty. The price-performance ratio is also completely fine for a tourism hotspot.

Great location, but the owners were extremely unfriendly when there was a problem with a booking. Otherwise really nice.

You can easily make a stop here. Nice service, good atmosphere and the food is also good. On top of that there is the location with a beautiful view

Ski hut Olpe Fahlenscheid is really nicely located. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Food variety is typical for a ski hut and prices are decent. It’s tasty. You can sit inside or outside and enjoy the views. Full recommendation.

Der Service des Ski Verleih und auch die Parkmöglichkeiten einfach nur TOP. Auch der Lift ist super.. Die Kinder hatten viel Spaß und haben dort Skifahren gelernt :)

Ich kann leider nur den Kuchen bewerten und der war sehr lecker😋

Grandios ist die Aussicht von dort. Es gibt kleinere Gerichte, die schmecken und leckere Kuchenspezialitäten. Alles ist soweit sauber inkl. der Toiletten! Große Terrasse mit Weitsicht. Im Umkreis genügend Parkplätze. Jetzt im Frühling/Sommer trifft sich dort unter anderen die MTB- Szene. Der Skilift ist nun der Bike- Lift. Unbedingt vorbeischauen!

Nett gemacht und auch schön zum Sitzen. In 2022 aber keine EC Zahlung abzubieten ist etwas merkwürdig. Wir hätten deutlich mehr konsumiert...

Sehr schöne Aussenterrasse, mit wunderbarem Blick ins Tal und auf den Bikepark.

Tolles Ausflugsziel im Winter zum Rodeln. Sehr gut für Familien mit kleinen Kindern.
