Sion im Carré in Bonn

Sion Carré in Bonn makes a really great first impression. The ambiance is very appealing and stylish, so you immediately feel comfortable. The food was also good – we had burgers with fries, all very tasty and, most importantly, served piping hot. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit enjoyable overall. Unfortunately, there is one major drawback: the restrooms. They are in dire need of renovation and were already very dirty in the early evening (around 6 p.m.). This unfortunately clashes completely with the otherwise beautiful and well-maintained impression of the restaurant. It's a shame, because with a little more attention to this area, Sion Carré could be highly recommended.

Since I'm allergic to rapeseed and corn, and unfortunately can't tolerate all drinks, I tried to discuss my situation with the waiter. Unfortunately, he was completely unsympathetic and uncomprehending, making any discussion impossible. I would have ordered a steak if he had assured me it hadn't come into contact with rapeseed oil. I ordered a still water (tap water) and a pinsa (the kind you can buy for €3 wholesale, as I could see at the next table). I received half a pinsa and my water. I paid €11 for this. We were there for Christmas dinner with 16 people, and everyone else spent an average of €30-50. Another point I found extremely unpleasant was that this waiter, whenever he passed something to the other side of the table, would "cuddle up" with me, no matter how much I tried to move (his colleagues managed to do this). For non-allergic individuals, the food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was reasonable.

We were a group of 20 at the restaurant on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was lovely, and we received a friendly welcome. Although we arrived earlier than planned, a table was immediately arranged, and our order was taken. The service was truly excellent! The food was varied and of good quality. There was always at least one server nearby, clearing tables and bringing drinks. Prices were reasonable, and there were also lighter options. Even the restrooms were clean despite the large number of guests. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

After our shopping spree, we spent a lovely evening enjoying delicious food and Sion Kölsch beer. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the attentive service and the promptly prepared order. Thank you to the team for the wonderful evening we had here today! 👍😃

We went to Sion im Carré in Bonn for dinner with colleagues during the week. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly. The food was truly delicious – just as impressive as at the Sion in Siegburg. Highly recommended!

It's not really my kind of place.

A fancy shop with a beautiful interior that offers everything from food to cocktails to beer. I went there on a Friday evening to grab a bite to eat. It was quite busy, but I managed to get a seat at the bar. The draft Kölsch was delicious, of course, and so was the potato soup, but it wasn't anything special. The ambiance, especially at the bar, is very nice, with special lighting. There, you can watch the hustle and bustle of the many waiters. The price isn't worth commenting on; in total, I paid just under €17 for two Kölsch beers and the soup. I'd be interested to hear some opinions on the Aperol Spritz. I was able to watch it being prepared, and the mixtures seemed quite thin to me. But that could also have been due to the amount of ice in the glass.

I didn't like it that much...some of the seats weren't ideal for people with back problems. I had a classic tarte flambée...it was almost cold and tasteless.

We were there with a group of 17 people. They had reserved two large high tables for us. It was perfect! The food and the service were also excellent, so we spent about 6 hours there...

We had a very nice evening there. The food was delicious and plentiful, the server was attentive and cheerful—everything you'd expect from a brewery. We'll be back.

I've never eaten as badly in my life as I did today. The burger is not recommended. I got stomach cramps after two bites. The salad with the spaetzle was missing. The service was awful (very unfriendly). There was no toilet paper in the women's restroom. Oh, and not to forget, when I mentioned that there was something wrong with the burger, the chef yelled at me. For the money, you can definitely eat better here in Bonn with better staff. I don't recommend eating there.

We eat there very often when we're in Bonn. We've never been disappointed. Be sure to try the salads, too. We're always happy to come back.

The bartender, Nico, was absolutely fantastic! Super friendly, very accommodating, and immediately created the perfect atmosphere. You immediately feel at home with him. Highly recommended!

Phew, delicious spinach dumplings. And so much of them. I enjoyed it. There's plenty of space and seating here. Even large groups are well and comfortably accommodated. The only drawback: The stairs upstairs aren't very bright. I wish there was a bit more light here.

The music was a bit loud. We sat at the very back right corner by the window. Otherwise, it was great. The pulled pork was a bit cold.

It's a very large brewery—optimized for beer sales and large crowds. The beer is Sion-Kölsch, after all; there are better options, but this owner is Sion, and Kölsch is always a matter of taste. The food was typical brewery quality, and that's not meant as a compliment. It would certainly be great for the typical German, as the portions are gigantic. The service was friendly and professional, so tips were also appropriate. I wouldn't have chosen the Sion in the Carré myself; it was a meeting place.

Unfortunately, it's far too noisy outside due to the city noise. It's quite centrally located. Wheelchair-accessible entrance. The restroom is unfortunately very small. The food is much too large (e.g., schnitzel). Good value for money. The ambiance inside is pleasant and cozy, but can also get quite noisy. Attentive service! The most delicious tea I've ever had: Rooibos caramel 😋

Very tasty food and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, eating Leberkäse (meatloaf) with fried potatoes overnight caused a severe stomach upset. The meatloaf was partially gray on the inside. It shouldn't have been eaten. The other guests' dishes were delicious and wholesome, but due to the incident, only one star for the meal.

Ziko is the best waiter in Bonn

Very nice restaurant with a lot of choice in the menu. The dish was very good and cheap (saltimbocca, suggestion of the day). The service was maybe a little bit long but it gave us the time to enjoy the sun on the terrace

Particularly noticeable: In the last month or so, the quality of the kitchen and service has improved significantly. The processes seem more seamless, and the staff more motivated. The dining room is clean, the restrooms on the ground floor are okay, and the ones on the upper floor are significantly better. Individual members of staff occasionally seem a bit listless or inattentive, but this is visibly improving. High-level criticism. A positive point: Private parties can be organized quickly and easily here – the food, drinks, and service are reliable and prompt. If you're not expecting Michelin-starred cuisine, but rather a reliable and stylish location with good food and ambiance, this is the place for you. We've already celebrated there twice. And everything was top-notch. Conclusion: A beautiful place where many things are currently developing positively. We hope this continues – we'll definitely be back.

We really enjoy Sion. The food is excellent and the service is friendly and prompt. A great place to start the evening.

The food is very expensive and not good enough for the price (half the fries were cold when they arrived, and there was only ready-made ketchup and mayo). The server was very unfriendly and seemed annoyed by our presence. When we asked whether the grilled vegetables were vegan or served with butter, he didn't understand the question (the vegetables came with non-vegan mayo, and for €7, they were a rather small portion). Even though the ambiance was nicely decorated and the chairs comfortable, the music was so loud that conversation across the table was only possible with very loud speaking (but that's also because the tables are particularly low). Overall, our visit was disappointing.

Sion supposedly offers karaoke every first and third Friday of the month. That's not the case. I've been there three times on those dates, and I even called ahead to ask if it was happening. I was told there would be karaoke. But no—three times I went there for nothing. A local resident apparently complained to the city. That's why there's no karaoke there anymore. I'm just wondering why they don't tell me or anyone else? I don't think that's a good idea! Just be honest!

We stayed here for the after job party and were only in the upper area, so I can't say anything about the food. Location upstairs was nice, but the toilets were so dirty that I was a bit shocked. We were there quite early, around 11pm and the ladies room really didn't look good. That doesn't have to be the case. It's a real shame, it doesn't fit the impression at all and toilets have to be clean please 🙏🏼

Were there for a company party with around 30 people. Great food, delicious drinks and (except for a short period when a lot of new guests came at once) very good service. The only drawback: we sat directly under a music box that was set way too loud. We'll definitely be back.

One of my favorite spots in Bonn! After many visits to different bars and locations in Bonn, Sion im Carré has established itself as a real favorite for me. Ideal for a date, a cozy evening with friends or even a company party - the location offers enough space without losing any of its charm. I particularly like the fact that a rather sophisticated, mixed audience meets here - so it's pleasantly quiet and well-mannered. The service is consistently positive – attentive, friendly and professional. When we are there, we always hope that Katrina and Serkan are on duty - the two of them make every visit even better because they always make the evening something special with their friendly, humorous and warm manner. If you are looking for a place in Bonn with style, class and a great atmosphere, you have come to the right place. Would go back at any time.

My birthday is April 5th. celebrated with 14 people in Sion. When I arrived, despite having made a reservation early, no one really knew where we should be seated, so we were simply sent upstairs with the words “Sit by the window somewhere.” When I made my reservation, I wasn't told that there was a hit party taking place that evening, which I think the guests should have been told in advance, as they couldn't exchange a single word due to the volume. Unfortunately, the waitress was completely unfriendly and not very competent. I really always have great understanding for the staff in the catering industry, as I have worked in the catering industry myself for many years, but that was impossible. Every time one of us ordered something, the waitress was completely annoyed and made you feel like you were bothering her, and she often ignored us, even though she only had 3 tables to serve on the first floor most of the time. Many people heard the sentences “that’s too much work” and “what else?!”, which is unreasonable for guests. In almost every round that we ordered, several drinks were forgotten, so we had to wait an average of 25-30 minutes for our drinks and often had to order them multiple times. Sometimes we would come to the counter to save the waitress a trip, and she would groan in annoyance and roll her eyes. We are really extremely disappointed with the service, you really don't understand why you should spend so much money at Sion when the service is so bad!

The service was a complete disaster: unfriendly, overwhelmed and sometimes just disinterested. Drinks took ages to arrive - even after repeated requests. There was a complete lack of professionalism from both the waiters and the counter staff. The taste of the food was okay, but for the prices it was completely excessive and in no way justified. Price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. Particularly bold: Huge music boxes were set up in the guest room (!), which were played at a volume that made it difficult to hold a conversation. That was absolutely inappropriate, especially since the hit party was taking place in a different room. For guests who wanted to eat normally, an impertinence - suspicious of tinnitus. All in all: Overpriced, disorganized, unfriendly and unfortunately completely unprofessional. We will definitely not be coming back and cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

His random volume changes were not only extremely annoying, but also turned the entire evening into a real noise nightmare. Such a disrespectful approach to music and the obvious unpreparedness are an impertinence for every visitor. I strongly advise against experiencing this DJ - he is incompetent in every way. In short: Subscribe to Spotify, plug in an AUX cable and play it. This is more economical and better 👌

Were there for the first time and also the last time. Ambiance is nice, but that's all. First you wait forever for the staff and then the food comes after 5 minutes. So warmed up. Rather unbelievable for schnitzel with fries. It consisted almost exclusively of breading, dry fries. You should also take a good look at the cutlery beforehand. I'm disappointed. The staff could be better trained. For the price and the ambience you can expect more. It doesn't fit together like that.

I was traveling with my girlfriend and it was just great to be able to order delicious warm food outside of the main kitchen times. We felt very comfortable, the service was very courteous and we would like to come back, especially to try out the daily specials. Sounds very promising.
