Beautiful location. You sit directly on the Rhine in a great, cozy atmosphere. Despite the large number of guests, some of whom were queuing up to wait for free seats, the service was well organized and consistently friendly and we were regularly asked whether we needed anything else and whether everything was OK. The food tasted great and the portions were good. The price is high, I think you pay for the location and view, but for us it was a nice, delicious evening that made us feel good.

Despite the unchanged beautiful location, for which the current operator is not responsible, it is no longer a place to stay. You have to expect increased prices everywhere these days, but the quality and service is now subpar:( The unqualified staff is very inattentive and the food, which is actually not very difficult with currywurst and tarte flambée, is anything but tasty. It's a shame, it was different, which the current reviews also confirm.

Service is slow and sometimes overwhelmed, but great location and solid, although slightly overpriced, food. This probably has a causal connection. Parking is a matter of luck during busy periods.

Service was non-existent. We must have waited 10 minutes or more for a menu, even though they knew we were there because we had announced our arrival in advance. When still no one came, I went in and asked if you had to take the tickets yourself. The only answer that came was that the colleague would be coming soon and we should wait a moment. I was given a card anyway. When we looked at these, we noticed that the prices were outrageously expensive. 19€ for a salad??? Over €20 for schnitzel? 14€ for a currywurst... After another long wait, 2 boys with aprons came. Both went to a table that was there after us and asked the guests what they could do for them. They asked for a card. The boys' answer: "We'll have to ask about that." ..??? Nobody came to us. The woman who gave me the card came out at some point and picked up a table that had come after us and the other, newer table near us. We then left because we were afraid that the food would take longer and with the prices you at least want to be served reasonably. I work in the catering industry in the service area and making guests wait so long for a menu is an absolute no-go. Above all, there wasn't much going on, because then I would have understood the waiting times, but like that? Sorry, but I won't go there again, even if the view is nice. There is a nice chip shop near the passenger ferry. Good prices, equally beautiful views and nice staff.

Actually a very nice place. But it's better not to go if you have food allergies. Despite her declared lactose intolerance, my friend had a cream sauce put on her plate. We noticed it too late, the result was accordingly. Insight from the restaurant is zero.

We were there after a funeral. The room was very attractively prepared, the food was very good, starting with a tomato soup, followed by quiches and finally warm cake. Everything in attractive small sizes and tailored to the number of people at the table. Very friendly service that was very attentive.

Pretty Riverside location is the best thing it has going for it. Meals were very slow to arrive with long delays between different members if our group getting their meal. Also took 15mins+ between ordering a drink and it arriving. Such slow service spoilt what should have been a lovely evening.

Unfortunately we didn't like it. The Käsespätzle taste more like cream than cheese. They're probably not homemade either. The stewed onions that are on the menu weren't there either. It seems that way, so you would rather relax in the beautiful location and save on the food. But the prices are too expensive for that. We also found €8.50 for a bottle of water to be relatively high. Our waiter was very nice.

Unfortunately very expensive, we waited almost 2 hours for the food, the food was lukewarm at most, the fries were still raw inside, the service was totally overwhelmed. Very unfortunate. That was completely different.

Had an alcohol-free Weizen and a soup of the day here this afternoon. Nice terrace, excellent service, but I had just paid and on the way to my bike I vomited the entire dish again. Cause? No idea. Fortunately, 6 km further to my campsite Drachenfels Blick. Luckily I'm doing better again.

The salad costs €12 without chicken strips and €19 with it. That's 4 dry chicken, it's not worth it. There was also so much Parmesan in the salad that the salad was quite dry. The quality of food among my friends was similar.

+++ View top, service flop+++ You don't even need any training to say "Hello" as a greeting. Drinks are simply slammed on the table without greeting. There is chaos, long waiting times. Inside, three employees are overwhelmed at the bar, outside you have to wait to sit at a free table. Individual courses are forgotten, drinks take forever. The bill came surprisingly quickly. Once and never again. The view is very pleasant, the food is acceptable, but definitely nothing special. I was there twice... It's still just a beer garden.

Rustic and pleasant atmosphere. Food is also appealing and reasonably priced. Only a few parking spaces on site. Not far from the cemetery on the Rhine, where several parking spaces are available.

The location right on the Rhine is really fantastic. The food is okay, but the prices are quite high. There were 6 people in the beer garden. Unfortunately the service was very poor even though it wasn't busy. We sometimes had to wait 20 minutes for drinks, one meal came about 30 minutes later than the other dishes and in the end we were charged twice for two drinks. Luckily we were able to correct that.

Beautiful Gasthaus with views to the Rhein river. We had dinner there, the food was very good (I ate the semmelknödel which where excellent) and the staff was kind and efficient. I would definitely go there again. As they would say in German: 1A.

We have recently had dinner here. The food was served in time, some meals could have been a bit bigger (Liver with mashed potatoes) whereas for example the salmon was excellent in quality and quantity. But: after ordering dessert, it took almost an hour and several requests until we got what we've ordered, and still the coffee was missing. When asking for the bill, the total amount was named and also "if we want to pay the exact amount or round up". Considering the poor service, this behavour is unacceptable. Next time there's other nice restaurants around the Rhine.

Attentive service. Ordering and serving was done quickly. The cake was very tasty. The inn is very nice.

In summer you can sit outside under the trees with a view of the Rhine. Unfortunately, the food no longer comes close to the quality it used to have. Totally loveless Caesar salad with chicken breast (see photo) for EUR 19. No thanks, I'd rather eat at home. My daughter's fries weren't great either. The service was okay.

That's it, hefty prices for lukewarm drinks with very little carbonation, the service is terrible, we waited 20 minutes both when ordering and when paying, although there were enough staff on site, unfortunately not with the guest...

Good quality food, but unfortunately not good value for money. Matjes with very few fried potatoes €18, that doesn't fit. A 0.75 liter bottle of water for €8.50 is simply “completely wrong”. It's not a gourmet restaurant. It's a shame, because the location on the Rhine is great - if the prices were more reasonable we would come more often.

Schnitzel Schaumburger style and schnitzel with asparagus. Both great! In terms of taste and craftsmanship, it's a straight A with stars! Rarely eaten so well. The young lady in service was very attentive and hard-working! It's great that there are young people who want to work in the industry! The restaurant can only be recommended!

A really nice place to sit right on the Rhine with a view of the Drachenfels. We only had a drink, but the service was perfect and we'll definitely be back soon.

Location top. The rest unfortunately has a lot of room for improvement. The staff very awkward and unsure. Try hard, as they say diplomatically. On the bridge day, if the weather is good, only small meals after 2 p.m. The performance could be adjusted to the prices. Too bad. You could really create something cool there.

Food and drinks are absolutely reasonable and proportionate in terms of price. Great beer garden with a great view of the Siebengebirge. We sat inside and the atmosphere was also very cozy. The staff was very busy with our larger group and almost everyone had their food at the same time. So service is absolutely top! We'll be back for the next company party.

Location is great, you're willing to pay more for it (even if 9€ for an iced coffee is already decent), service is very nice and attentive. Portion of fries eaten, taste and value for money okay. Minus point: Ordered a piece of cherry cake for 4€ (I mean 4.50): very small, dry, obviously the cheapest defrosted product, tasted even worse than it looked. We only ate a forkful of it and it was taken straight off the bill. The beer garden is only recommended for drinks. Toilets are perfect by the way.

Never been so obviously labeled as unwelcome. We were on our bikes and wanted to stop for a quick lunch. Constant rain outside, 10 degrees in the beer garden of course everything was wet. Restaurant was completely empty at 12 p.m. The waitress met us at the door and said that we would like to sit outside? Unfortunately everything inside is full. Conclusion: Rarely have I been rejected so rudely and obviously.

Restaurant with beer garden. Great view of the Rhine. The location on the Rhine also affects the price. The price-performance ratio is good if you take into account the ambience. Otherwise I would have given it an “Okay”. But I would go there again.

Very cozy, with a view of the Rhine. Damn delicious food from salmon to wiener schnitzel. A good restaurant for a nice meeting for friends & family. Unfortunately I didn't see a wheelchair accessible entrance to the toilets/interiors, but I didn't look for one either. Then directly in front of it a digestive Walk along the Rhine promenade! Always one of our favorite places on the Rhine. Everything is just right here. Super delicious food and a great team. You feel comfortable and can enjoy the beautiful view of the Siebengebirge in the beautifully decorated and well-kept beer garden. See you soon again! :-)

Unfortunately unsuitable for coffee and cake. Half of the map is not available, the other half is poor. Doppio Espresso machiato is not a thin latte - surprise. Operation slightly overwhelmed. The view compensates, but not for everything.

We only had a drink, so I can't comment on the food.

Thank you. Absolute joke of a day. German fathers day, beautiful weather great view. Worst service, no idea which tables have ordered what! We have just been asked for the 5th time "Is this your order", 15 minute wait for our first drink, 25 minutes for the second!! Some staff can take orders, some cannot. Have watched multiple tables wait for 20 minutes just to order. One table got thier food 5 minutes before thier drinks!!! No reflection on hard working staff, just poor, poor management!!! Don't go here on a nice day!!! You will be disappointed.

Traditional house in the immediate vicinity of the Rhine. Worth a visit even without a beer garden.

We really enjoyed our Christmas party there. The food was very tasty, the service was super friendly and patient, even with the tipsy ladies. When there was a small problem with the dessert, they were very creative and accommodating. It was a completely successful Christmas party!

Selvom det var lukket for service på terrassen, og vi kun skulle have 2 kopper kaffe. Ja, så blev de alligevel serveret på terrassen. Her nåd vi vore kaffe og den god udsigt til Rhinen. Tak for kaffe.

Im Anschluss an eine Trauerfeier dort mit unseren Gästen gegessen. Konnten mit 45 Leuten draußen sitzen und die herrliche Aussicht auf den Rhein und das Siebengebirge genießen. Das Personal war super aufmerksam und nett.

Neuer Pächter neues Glück! Hätte das früher gewusst! Essen, Service & Ambiente waren perfekt! Die im letzten Jahr noch magere Karte wurde durch die neuen Pächter enorm aufgehübscht. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Preise angemessen. Sehr aufmerksamer Service! Ich komme wieder 🤩

What a location.. opposite River Rhine, all green and excellent building

Mal wieder nach einiger Zeit sind wir hier wieder eingekehrt. Die Lage und das Ambiente sind spitze. Am Rhein sitzen und abei nett speisen ist einfach TOP. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und schnell - obwohl sie den Biergarten fast alleine bediente - respekt. Das Essen ist ok, etwas einfallslos und sehr schnell serviert. Das Bier ist allerdings sehr gut temperiert und gut gezapft.

Wir sind nach langer Zeit mal wieder eingekehrt, insbesondere um den leckeren hausgemachten Kartoffelsalat zu essen. Den gibt es nicht mehr, stattdessen ein Industrieprodukt. Insgesamt hat sich die Küche zu früher deutlich verschlechtert. Auch bei der Abrechnung muss man aufpassen. Eine Bratwurst mit Pommes kostet 11,- €, statt Pommes den schwachen Kartoffelsalat 12,- €. Eine Portion Pommes 5,- €, eine Portion Kartoffelsalat 4,50 €. Finde den Fehler! :) Übrigens wurde zur Bratwurst ein Tütchen Senf beigelegt, zu Hause auf der Rechnung mit extra 50 Cent gesichtet, dabei gar nicht bestellt. Die Dame im Service war sehr angenehm, aber die Abrechnung war so nicht korrekt.

Wir haben eine Bootsfahrt von Köln nach Bonn gemacht und sind anschließen im Schaumburger Hof eingekehrt. Weil es sonnig und warm war, saßen wir auf der Terasse mit wunderschönem Blick auf den Rhein und das Siebengebirge. Der Service war freundlich und schnell, das Essen war sehr lecker. Bei den Preisen könnte man eventuell noch etwas, tendentiell vielleicht ein bisschen zu hoch. Trotzdem ein schönes Ausflugslokal direkt am Rhein!

Sehr schöne location, Biergarten direkt am Rhein. Abends bei schönem Wetter natürlich sehr viel los, dennoch gehört es zum job des Kellners, ruhig u.freundlich zu sein, in der Beziehung leider bei dem Herrn absoluter fail. Andere Kellnerin hingegen sehr freundlich. Wären wir ausschließlich von dem Herrn bedient worden, wären wir NICHT wieder gekommen!

Super schöner Biergarten am Rhein in Plittersdorf. Tolle Essensauswahl und sehr lecker!! Vieles für Vegetarier. Freundlicher Service. Wenig Parkplätze.

Der Biergarten liegt etwas erhöht unter großen alten Bäumen am Rhein und man hat einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf das Rheintal. Das Essen fand ich jedoch leider etwas zu fettig. Beim Quinoataler (sehr schmackhaft) war der Möhrenstampf leider nur auf den Teller gekratzt, so dass die Portion nicht wirklich sättigend war.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit schöner Aussicht. Leider sind die Portionen etwas klein und meine Bratkartoffeln waren etwas versalzen während der Lachs gar kein Salz hatte.

Handwerklich wie ich finde (sehr) gut gemachtes Essen! Lecker! Super Ambiente, direkt mit Blick auf den Rhein.

Ein schöneres Restaurant am Wasser kann man sich kaum vorstellen. Allerdings war das Essen nicht soo gut. Pommes wurden gefühlt 3 mal frittiert und haben einfach nicht geschmeckt. Das Schnitzel war okay aber auch nichts weltbewegendes. Der Service hatte unser Besteck vergessen und auf Aufforderung eine (!) Gabel gebracht. Aber das Ambiente rechtfertigt tatsächlich die hohen Preise weil man wirklich wunderbar sitzt.

Es lohnt sich den Biergarten in der "noch" schönen Jahreszeit zu besuchen!

Wir hatten reserviert, aber ich musste streiten, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Das Essen war nicht besonders. Ich habe matschige Tagliatelle mit trockenem Ragout gegessen. An einem anderen Tisch wurde so laut randalert, daß man sein eigenes Wort kaum verstehen konnte. Schade, denn die Lage am Rhein mit dem Biergarten ist wirklich schön.

Goede kwaliteit eten, ondanks een vol terras snelle en vriendelijke service. Eten was van prima kwaliteit voor een schappelijke prijs.

O lugar é lindo, na beira do Reno, tem muitas opções no cardápio, desde um ótimo schnitzel vom Eifelschwein (€21) Flammkuchen (€14) e ótimas sobremesas. Comemos um warmes schokoladentörtchen ( €10) delicioso!! Vale a pena, é um local histórico e com mesas em baixo das árvores…

Rollstuhlfahrer sind hier unerwünscht! Sehr unfreundlicher Service.
