Very good food and friendly, attentive service. My favorite Thai restaurant! I've been going there for many years and have never been disappointed!

When we arrived he immediately stopped us to ask if we had reservations, gave us a tiny table where even two people couldn't read well and there was no space... we ordered two large beers which the waiter brought immediately but they kept rushing us to eat, it was already our turn and the food was nowhere to be seen, we waited 40 minutes and nothing... we left in disgust

Very tasty food and really authentic Thai food. The ambience and the food always feel like a short vacation to Thailand. Absolute recommendation!

It was a bit cramped for our group of 16 people. The service was again very friendly, competent and accommodating. Everyone really enjoyed the food, it was beautifully prepared and everyone was full. Even though not everything went smoothly for the large group, everyone was very satisfied with their visit here. I'd love to come back.

I've eaten here a few times a few years ago. Otherwise always satisfied, today rather disappointed. Food: we had lunch. 8.90 euros is really cheap. That has to be said. There is a soup first. This was rather bland in taste. Then we had two curries with chicken. Once red, once green. Red was also relatively unseasoned. Green more. Vegetables mainly consisted of bamboo and beans. A little more variation would have been good. Rice portion is definitely decent. We also ordered a bottle of water. One of the glasses still had the lip rim. Was exchanged quickly upon request. In general, everything here is quick and friendly. But our food came very far apart. So I had already been through for a long time, while my companion felt like I was still at the beginning. Ambiance is classic Asian.

The food was terrible: I waited an unbearably long time for my dinner and since the table next door was very loud, I had my food packed. I was totally disappointed when I unpacked it and it didn't match the description of my favorite dish! Instead of the promised Thai herbs, there was parsley and chives!

Well, there are better restaurants, just plain average!

If you're in a hurry, I don't recommend this restaurant. We had to wait over an hour for our food each time. The dishes are good and delicious, but the service is quite poor. The Thai waitress, who is about 1.55 meters tall, is so rude.

We were thrilled by the numerous authentic dishes. Every dish was a delight. The wait was more than worth it. We'll be back.

My wife and I went to Siam Restaurant for dinner today. Unfortunately, both of our dishes (green curry and red curry) were so inedible that we couldn't finish them. The sauce was a mixture of water and a lot of oil. There was also a very unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, when we told the staff there was no response and we had to pay for the meal without apologizing. So first of all, the restaurant is not recommended from our side.

Very good Thai restaurant at the beginning of Vahrenwalder Strasse in Hanover! Spontaneously getting a table reservation at short notice on the eve of a public holiday is generally a more difficult undertaking. Many thanks to the team at Siam Thai Restaurant for trying so hard to accommodate us. 🙂 We were promised over the phone a table that was actually too small for 3 people for 2 hours. It was really nice that we got a bigger table. Although the restaurant looks a bit old, it is cozy and inviting. The large windows of the corner building facing the streets make the restaurant look significantly larger. The service was very friendly and well organized. The food was prepared and served quickly. The taste and quality of the food was excellent. As a starter I had spring rolls, Tom Yam Gung soup with shrimps, mushrooms, tomatoes, leeks and Thai herbs and as a main course sweet and sour duck with various vegetables. It was really tasty. 😋 We had a great time and didn't feel under time pressure at all as the service team did a very good job. Thank you for that! 👍 We'll definitely be back! 🙂

We reserved a table for four people online and everything went wonderfully. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown straight to our table. Overall, the taste of the food was very good. The chicken was excellently prepared, as was the rice - incredibly tasty! The only small point of criticism was the beef, which was unfortunately a bit tough and could have been softer. The restaurant is decorated very cutely, with lots of details such as pictures and Buddhas that convey an authentic Thai flair. We would definitely like to come back! Thank you for the lovely evening.

It was a very nice evening. The service came very quickly to take orders. The drinks also came very quickly and you didn't have to wait long. If you don't understand that it might take a little longer in the run-up to Christmas, you should stay at home. The food was good as always and you can definitely recommend the restaurant. Just keep doing it.

The food has nothing to do with Thailand and consisted of frozen vegetables. During the meal we were asked how we wanted to pay. I can't recommend it.

Went to Siam Thai for the second time yesterday and were thrilled for the second time. This time ordered from the original Thai menu, just as delicious only spicier 😀!

Duck was very dry and had little flavor

We were here again for dinner. Of course, called and reserved beforehand. That's always best. We eat vegan. Here you'll find the largest vegan menu I know of. Extras were requested and implemented. Pre-soup without tofu for my wife. The main courses were perfect. Vegan chicken (seitan) sweet and sour and red Thai curry with the same seitan were super tasty and European hot. Even without asking. If necessary, it can also be Thai spicy. Just inquire. For us the best vegan Asian.

Unfortunately disappointing We made a reservation via Google as no one could be reached by phone. Unfortunately, the reservation didn't seem to have arrived at the restaurant and the staff was visibly overwhelmed with the technology. We weren't the only ones with this problem, as several guests had similar difficulties. Unfortunately, we ended up having to go somewhere else to eat. It's a shame because we were looking forward to the visit.

Service underground. Unfriendly, aggressive waiter, unable to take criticism. We have enjoyed coming here for years, have been busy ordering for pick-up during Corona and also giving away vouchers for Siam Thai. So far everything has always been OK. But yesterday it wasn't OK. The starter we ordered was not served and when asked when the first of three main courses arrived alone, they said the starter was sold out. If you could have told us while we were waiting... The other two main courses came with a noticeable delay. OK, it can happen on a holiday. In general, the service yesterday was inattentive and after we were told when we ordered the dessert that the chosen dessert was only available to order, we decided not to. It could have been mentioned in the menu. By the way, all after we had to wait about 20 minutes until the waitress was finished wiping the tables and wanted to take the dessert order. We had already picked up the menu ourselves. Anyway, anything can happen. BUT: the reaction of the German waiter at the counter to the (honest!) friendly criticism during payment really offended me. Zero insight, zero apology. Instead the answer was in a very aggressive tone "yes, and?" And then he slapped my hand away when I was paying with my cell phone! Paying with your cell phone is not possible. But then it went and I overlooked the violence. And one more BUT: he then followed me back to my table and complained to me because I paid with my cell phone. What is wrong with this person???

The six of us had a very tasty meal, various starters and main courses. The portions are generous, the staff is very friendly. It is advisable to reserve in advance as the restaurant is not very large and was full on Saturday evenings.

The papaya salad is a classic must with every order, as are the Pad Thai and the crispy-spicy pork belly dishes (on the Thai menu). The dishes in this restaurant are so good and authentically prepared that you can order a new dish every time and not be disappointed. Today the soup (Tom Yam Gai) was ordered; it was nice and sour and fresh. The owners and other employees are always very friendly and the place is very warmly decorated with lots of plants on the window sills. But you should either come early or make a reservation because the restaurant is always (rightly!) busy.

An absolute culinary delight. We go to Hanover once every year and this is our favorite restaurant. The food tastes like in Thailand. I can only recommend.

Particularly noteworthy is the massamam curry, a Thai delicacy that impressed with its seasoning and fresh ingredients. Luckily we had reserved a table in advance for 6.30 p.m. on Friday evening. One person less spontaneously wasn't a problem, we got a nice, large table by the window. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Tom Kha Gai soup was well seasoned and aromatic, with a surprising amount of chicken in it. The duck dishes with rice (see photos) and the counterpart with fried noodles (no photo) tasted excellent. The portion size was appropriate, the duck was still juicy and the curry was pleasantly spicy. We'd love to come back!

There are many nice dishes to choose from but what really set this restaurant apart for me was the extensive vegan menu! It’s great to see so many options for vegetarians and vegans. I tried the vegan duck and vegan beef and both were incredible! The regular meat dishes are also tasty.

The food has been good so far, but today I am very disappointed. The vegetables were clear. too soft, but above all the fish didn't work at all. Fried is definitely different...the two parts in the photo (unfortunately cannot be uploaded) are as hard as a board and straight for the trash. Pity for my money. The 2 stars are for the green curry sauce because it was good.

We often use the restaurant for lunch and I love it. This turns the lunch break into a short vacation. Very polite service, fantastic food including soup at a reasonable price (especially when you compare it to other lunch options). The only drawback is sometimes the longer waiting times if you just want to have a quick lunch. Also depends on the number of people.

Das Personal war leider stark überfordert. Das Essen kam in Etappen, sodass alle (die ihr Essen hatten) zeitversetzt Gegessen haben, anstatt zusammen. Ein Besteck fehlte und wurde erst nach mehr maligen Ansprechen nachgeliefert. Meine Bestellung wurde komplett vergessen. Genau wie eine Entschuldigung hierfür. Darauf angesprochen, war sich niemand einer Schuld bewusst. Außerdem hat man im Restaurant gefroren, da die Heizungen (im Winter) wohl aus waren. Immerhin war die Qualität des Essens gut. Das konnte ich allerdings nur bewerten, da ich von Freunden probieren durfte.

Für mich der beste Thailänder der Stadt. Sehr freundliches Personal und gemütliches Ambiente. Das Essen ist immer wieder super lecker und die Gerichte sind groß. Immer wieder gerne!!

Das Essen hat ganz ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und mehr ausprobieren. Der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Bin auf Empfehlung hingegangen und nun kann ich es selbst wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen ist dort wirklich sehr sehr lecker aber der Inhaber ist leider wahnsinnig frech und unfreundlich. Wir holen regelmäßig Essen zum Mitnehmen und der Herr ist leider immer aufs Neue extrem unfreundlich und teilweise so frech, dass ich mir jedes Mal denke, das war das letzte Mal dort. Wie gesagt, Essen ist top aber sorry, Service geht echt anders, selbst beim Abholen.
