Here Vietnamese prepare the best Japanese food in Munich.

The ramen was good, but we waited a long time for the food. But the staff was very nice and apologized. Overall, would go again.

I ate well although I think it's a bit expensive especially due to the little space inside... then charging €3.50 for a glass of tap water I think is taking advantage of the tourist... but I'm definitely wrong...

Food was ok. But!!!!!!! When it came to the bill at the counter, the waiter simply asked for €10 more. Instead of €66, he wanted €76. Even though I asked, he asked for €76 again. I paid first and asked for the receipt. Only then did he correct himself and give me €10 back without hesitation. That was intentional. .I'm afraid that's normal for them. So please be careful and get a receipt.

Again, the food was delicious and unbeatably fresh. As usual, the team was attentive, friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is authentic and hasn't changed in 30 years. I'm happy to come to SHOYA to eat or take something home with me. You could call me a regular. See you next time. Thank you for still existing.

Service was good, however this is one of the worst Ramen that we ever had, the broth is very bland, and the ramen was a bit undercooked. The batter on the karaege chicken was way too thick. Gyoza and yakitori were OK.

I would caveat that this is a Japanese fusion restaurant - the tempura maki roll is nice and packed with ingredients, shoyu broth tastes fusion but otherwise is a good bowl of noodle soup

I used to think this is one of the best Shoyou ramen around 15 EUR in the city……. It is not anymore 😢they changed the noodles (and a bit of the whole setting) I understand the financial difficulties but it is a bit sad. The atmosphere is still chill and nice as always.

I had the opportunity to visit my friend because it was cold and hungry, so I found something to eat and enjoyed the cold outside. It was wonderful with a charming taste. The noodle bowl is a real eye-catcher, making me feel like I don't have to wait too long, and the delicious and fatty broth is a testament to it being smooth and sweet. The owner put a lot of effort into it and the seasoning was so perfect , that this dish was a masterpiece and received a five-star privilege. Thank you for the warm rooms and good food.

I was really looking forward to the Tonkotsu Ramen… with noodles from Kyushu as I read outside… Sadly, any instant ramen noodle is better. The soup also didn't have much to do with what I knew from Hakata. A highlight, however, was the gyoza.

Relaxing atmosphere. I just got vibes like in Japan... Kyoto or Nagoya. From all the ramen restaurants I've been to so far in Europe, the taste of those meals are really like in Japan. Congrats to the chef.

Very tasty sushi and homemade lemonade. Something was conjured up for our daughter that wasn't on the menu.

It’s absolutely not Japanese food for an Asian perspective. Atmosphere is nice and service is nice too Just the very important thing- Japanese food is not in the place. - Miso soup is missing miso flavor - Pork ramen used the wrong part and wrong cooking skills to present the pork -The seaweed is absolutely a joker using sushi roll rather than proper ramen seaweed - the salad in the ramen is extremely disrespectful … In sum - it’s not from Japanese kitchen but someone fake the name cooking Japanese food If you want classic Japanese flavor and please don’t visit this place - you won’t find 1 % Japanese food flavor here. I believe the cook and owner are all from Thailand since I heard them communicate in Thai.

Delicious food and reasonable pricd. The best part is it tastes authentic! Many restaurants in Germany has been adapted to local taste but this wasn’t at all. Highly recommend!

Poor service here because the waiter had an extremely unfriendly attitude and rushed the orders, felt more like a vietnamese or flipino service than a japanese service. Also the speakers were nearly broken and a weird bass sound kept coming out. The pictures on the wall all had outdated prices with their original prices crossed out. None of the staff spoke Japanese either. So I don't accept the fact that You don't accept my weird atmosphere and service opinion. Get out of here with your half-asd apology and outright unacceptance to improve. Even though you are a foreigner, you run a Japanese restaurant with such bad service... 😂

Maybe some things could go faster, the restaurant could be more modern, yes. If you value something like that. But every time I found it tasty and beautifully prepared. I really appreciate the friendliness and the fact that you can sit comfortably after eating because you don't have a time window. And the prices are also really moderate for Munich standards. Also when it comes to cocktails. For me, Shoya is almost an insider tip.

Tip top, hearty food, very good sushi and ramen

Decidimos que teníamos suficiente snitzel y salchichas y necesitábamos algo de comida asiática. Tuvimos la mejor sopa del mundo, basada en la recomendación del camarero, algo con carne de res y fideos udon. ¡Lo mejor! También los gyoza son muy sabrosos.

Shoya was a breath of fresh air. We got the Chicken and Duck Soba Bowls, both were incredible. Definitely check it out.

The review was written about the experience of 2 visits. The first visit on July 26th was really ok, the food was quite good, the only thing that was annoying is the point that my girlfriend's main course was served 5-10 minutes before mine.. The second visit on July 28th was a display of impudence that I have rarely seen. It started with a waitress in her late 40s who didn't feel like she was enjoying her job and who only served us in a somewhat friendly way. She thought she had all the orders in her head We were astonished until she forgot my entire order and the wrong food was brought to us twice. This time my partner stood alone at the table for 15 minutes and was allowed to eat without me. That's not a shame or incompetence to beat... If you don't feel like waiting tables, then maybe you should think about changing jobs! Never again!

Decidimos darle una oportunidad a Shoya ya que no estaba demasiado ocupado un sábado por la noche. Las porciones eran grandes y llenas. Tenía el Shoya Bento. Buena relación calidad-precio. Fue un buen descanso japonés de toda la cerveza y salchichas a tu alrededor.

We expected a fast food style sushi and were surprised to have a nice japanese meal! The staff were really nice, food came rather quickly and the food quality was really good! It really exceeded our expectations, if I ever visit Munich another time I would be happy to eat there again.

Authentic, honest Asian cuisine! Delicious ramen!!

One of my problem when traveling to Europe is I often miss Asian food which contains rice or noodle. When we're in Munich, i was so happy that i found this restaurant nearby also to our hotel. The variation of menu is great. Tasty. Worth of money. Two times I came here to tried their gyudon and tempura udon. The staff are friendly, helpful & patience also. They have a clean and good smell of toilet which is important for me.

It's unreal Japanese food. The owner is Vietnamese. English is bad The food is not delicious at all. I paid an additional 7 euros to get the set. But the food that we got was scraps, overall it was terrible. But what I hate is Stealing customers' money You intend to cheat tourists out of money, just 3.5 euros for water. Still cheating, disgusting.

Very good restaurant! The ramen soups are especially great. Good portion and very good broth. You can tell that the broth has steeped for a long time. Although the ramen all contained meat, I was able to order the Tonkotsu Ramen with tofu. I was expecting regular tofu, but they brought me baked silken tofu. I was very happy about that! Really good food selection and quality in terms of price/performance ratio. We'll be back!

Great Japanese restaurant in the heart of Munich. As a Japan fan, I can only warmly recommend it. Whether it's sushi, ramen or tempura... everything is delicious and tastes just like in Japan.

The sushi rice was much stickier than normal and looked very glassy. It's still in my stomach the next day. The fish was fresh. I recommend the other Shoya branches in Munich. But not this one at the Hofbräuhaus.

Had a bad experience previously due to a reservation which was not booked from the restaurant side. However, after a second visit and after the reservation is respected this time (for a big group of 13), I would highly recommend this place for the food and the Service. Food quality was top and price was really decent. However, I would still advice future guests to try to call at least twice to confirm the reservation as I think the staff taking the reservation misunderstands it sometimes.

Schlichte Inneneinrichtung, wenig spektakulär. Doch das Essen kam sehr flott und schmeckte auch ganz gut. Das Chili Ramen Gericht war spicy, aber nicht übertrieben scharf und das Tonkutso Ramen war solide. Komme gern wieder.
