Shifudo Hamburg in Hamburg

That's how it should be, and yet it's not a given! Great! Great food! Great service! Great location!

For me, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Hamburg. All dishes are prepared and cooked with fresh vegetables and meat. I've been eating there often with my family for the past two years. The staff are also very friendly. I highly recommend it.

We looked for a good sushi restaurant for our weekend in Hamburg for a long time and finally decided on Shifudo and we didn't regret it. Modern yet traditional restaurant with incredibly good sushi. The waiters could be a little more attentive here and there, but they were still super friendly and we had a really great evening.

Food was not great at all- had 2 starter dishes and only able to eat one of them. Summer spring rolls were just a salad as they all stuck together and fell apart when I tried to eat them. They were obviously trying to scrimp on the rice paper.. menu had food in between the pages and was filthy. Seats had food all over them as well… just would not go back and when I said I didn’t want to pay for the spring rolls it was met with annoyance. Then I pushed and got a percentage off.

We went to this restaurant with my family for ramen, it was good, although a bit oversalted. Very nice service.

The food came very quickly, but it wasn't hot and the vegetables and duck were warmed up, but the mushrooms were almost raw without any spices, only the sauce had taste, so it wasn't worth the trip. There are them on every corner

Nice place, well attended. Everything is well maintained and clean and the waiters treat you in a familiar way. It is well located but undoubtedly the works in the old Karstadt greatly degrade the area. The portions are large, more moderate portions at a more reasonable price would be preferable. Three people ate, a main dish each and water to drink and it cost us more than €80. Excessively expensive for the type of food and the area, despite being well prepared. I hope they can survive until the works are finished, because I find it really difficult for them to make any profits while the neighborhood is not consolidated even more. Good potential.

The ambience is very nice, the lights, the mural and especially the large cherry blossom tree are an absolute eye-catcher. The service is nice and fast, but not so professional in some places. Unfortunately, the main course arrived during the starter. The food was delicious, but the dishes are generally more expensive. The takoyakis are not the classic ones from the pan, these were deep fried and without bonito flakes as you are used to. All in all a nice visit, gladly again ☺️

We were there today after we noticed Shifudo on the way home 14 days ago. What can I say? The team is young and super friendly, the service is quick and unobtrusive. The menu is varied and the prices are moderate. The food is lovingly prepared and I really enjoyed it. I'm afraid now I have a regular Vietnamese as well as my regular Greek - and that's a good thing!

1. Atmosphere & Ambiance The ambience of the restaurant was idyllic and beautifully designed. The decor seemed inviting and, despite the restaurant being busy, there was enough space between the tables to be able to talk to each other comfortably and undisturbed. 2. Service The staff was friendly and accommodating. The service was quick and there were no long waits. No special services were required, but we still felt like we were in good hands. 3. Food & Drinks We ordered ramen with pork belly and takoyaki. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The dishes were served on decorative plates with great attention to detail. The selection on the menu was very large, so there is something for everyone. 4. Value for money The prices were more than fair: for two people (starter, main course, 1 drink and a large bottle of water per person) we paid €70, which was absolutely reasonable given the quality and presentation of the food. 5. Special features/highlights Particularly noteworthy is the restaurant's beautiful decoration. A highlight was the cherry blossom motif with colorful accents, which created a special atmosphere. Overall rating Overall I give the restaurant 9 out of 10 points. It's a beautiful place with great food, fair prices and a pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it – perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special occasion.

Food was delicious, service was nice, nice decor. Only the truffle mayo was too runny and the location is a bit outside. In my opinion, it was difficult to achieve. From the city it takes about 35 minutes by train.

We are thrilled and will definitely come back. The furnishings are cozy, modern and clean. The food was incredibly tasty, I have rarely had such delicious Asian dishes. The workers were all very nice and accommodating. One star less because the prices are a little too high.

The first time we were there, we waited 40 minutes for a waiter to take our order. (There were 3 tables occupied along with us) I had to call their number while sitting at the table so that someone would finally be interested in us, then the waiter started lying that I said that I was waiting for my husband (I don't have and haven't had a husband . Boyfriend doesn't either)😂🤦🏻‍♀️ the food was still good back then and the restaurant was new, which is why I gave the restaurant a good rating but from time to time the food gets worse and worse What we got the Sunday before last is really a joke. For 55€ (2 people) we got dishes that were warmed up in the microwave (not even warm enough) and didn't taste good, tap water for 5€ (glass bottles are refilled with tap water) for 55€ for 2 people you expect something good to eat and no garbage from the microwave that wasn't even warmed up properly.

It's only worth a visit for cool pictures, as food and drinks are nicely decorated and sometimes served at the table with nice fog effects. The staff is friendly and that's about it at "Shifudo". There were six of us there and ordered the combination dish 6 times, 2 times duck with soup, 2 times beef and 1 time with chicken. The soup was still ok, all the dishes and the meat were as ordered The sauce was completely covered, there was nothing crispy left. The beef was absolutely inedible as it was extremely tough, and both dishes were completely ruined. Nevertheless, both dishes were still charged at half the price, i.e. €14 each, incredibly cheeky in my opinion. Homemade drinks, e.g. lychee iced tea or raspberry mint, are almost inedibly sweet. In addition, it is extremely loud in the rooms due to the concrete walls and reverberations. Conclusion: If you just want to take a few nice pictures, go have a drink there. If you want to eat good quality food and spend some time in a cozy and nice environment, then definitely not here.

Been there several times and the food has always been delicious. The restaurant is cozy and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was always friendly and you were served quickly. Price-performance is definitely reasonable and I would come again and again.

There are two stars but only because the food is simply very good. Sunday afternoon and there are three tables occupied, we place our order and wait. After exactly 30 minutes the waitress comes to tell us that there was a network error and the order didn't arrive in the kitchen, but we'll try to accommodate you in some way. No problem. After 45 minutes we received our food which was very tasty. Asked for the bill and of course they forgot to come to meet us. At least the drinks that apparently were spared from the network error could have been taken off the bill. For me it's not about the two drinks (Cola Zero) but about the way you deal with it. Please do not offer anything if this is not adhered to.

The location is very nice! Finally a newer restaurant in Wandsbek. Unfortunately the prices do not correspond to the quality of the food. You pay more for the look of the restaurant.

We were here for lunch. There is a lunch special with good prices for food and a small drink, there were also choices for vegetarians. The food was very tasty. The service was friendly and quick. The furnishings are well thought out, you immediately feel at home. Gladly again!

I enjoy eating Asian food, be it Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese or Chinese cuisine, and I always find the staff to be extremely friendly. But here? Wow.. just rude.. random.. never again..

It's been a long time since I've eaten really, really good Asian food. Sushi was very good, as were the starters. My children had poultry and my brother had duck. Everything was very good and tasty. No mass-produced goods or even convenience.

Disaster. Food came 1 hour later then something was missing and then it came wrong and I still had to pay for it.

Schöne Location, gute Auswahl an Speisen und die Preise sind annehmbar. Das Personal war sehr freundlich aber am Service kann noch gearbeitet werden. Teller werden lange nicht abgeräumt, nach einem zweiten Getränk mussten wir selber fragen (aber erstmal die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals bekommen) und nach Dessert wurde auch nicht gefragt.

The two of us were there last night without a reservation. The waiter told us that he would not accept guests again for an hour because there would not be enough “waiter capacity”. He was there alone with a colleague and they probably didn't feel like serving a few more people. There were enough free tables (6 of them). He sent us out into the cold and rain. Absolutely incomprehensible to me!! I worked in the catering industry myself for 5 years and if you still have enough space, you take in the guests! Just because the good gentleman didn't feel like making a bit of effort and serving one more table, does he send guests away? How the boss thinks. Never experienced anything like this.

Very, very tasty and well prepared sushi, we really liked it. However, the ramen wasn't to our taste. Unfortunately, the music was also a bit too loud in our opinion. Waiters friendly, quick and accommodating.

I was disappointed with my ramen. Everyone else was happy with their food. Decoration is very pretty. Would be willing to go again but would not recommend getting ramen - it is okay but I prefer it from other places.

Unfortunately we were disappointed. The food came relatively quickly, but was very bland. The squid dish was just lukewarm, the broccoli and mushrooms were completely raw and cold. The squid just didn't taste like anything, so definitely not worth €28. The sauces for the other dishes were also hardly seasoned. But what I found worst was the way our (very nicely worded) criticism was handled, namely not at all. We weren't even offered a coffee or something similar. Something like that just doesn't work if you want to have satisfied guests. So we won't recommend Shifudo, and next time we'd rather go back to the Block House, they know how service works.

Asian restaurant with mediocre quality

I celebrated my birthday at Shifudo, but unfortunately the evening turned out to be a big disappointment. A waitress was very friendly and even gave us shots at the end, but unfortunately that was the only positive thing about the evening. First of all, we were charged €10 for keeping a cake in the fridge - completely excessive. What was even worse, however, was the disrespectful treatment from the manager. The long drinks were inedible and disgusting, the sushi was dry and sticky, and the ramen was absolutely not tasty either. It seems like all the money just goes into the facility because the hygiene left a lot to be desired. The toilet smelled unpleasant and we had severe stomach pains after eating. We were promised a discount because of the bad drinks, but that was a lie. We didn't get a discount. We also asked to just get water instead of drinks. We were assured that it would be on the house, but in the end we were still charged for it. Overall, a really disappointing evening. I definitely won't recommend Shifudo.

Thanks to a recommendation from a friend, I was able to continue my culinary journey at Shifudo. The beautiful ambience of the restaurant immediately invites you to order something delicious from the menu. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very accommodating. In my opinion, Shifudo is a jewel among Hamburg restaurants.

Food was again great. There were four of us. Unfortunately one person had 2 hairs in their food. We didn't complain about this because we didn't want to complain and the food was very good. That's why only the 4 stars. The chairs outside become very uncomfortable after a short time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back

Very good to eat there, but also very expensive for the size of the portions. The seating outside is a bit cheap, very old wooden tables and chairs, more reminiscent of old garden chairs and tables. But inside it is very classy and clean.

Best crispy chicken I have ever eaten at an Asian restaurant in Hamburg.

Not so good… The waiter was very unfriendly and treated you rather condescendingly (no request or thank you came from his lips). I had fried noodles with chicken, but they were so poorly seasoned that I felt like I poured half a bottle of soy sauce over them. Drinks are unreasonably expensive. Delivery service Flink also scurried in three times (for the staff's private orders!), which of course distracted them and made the guests wait a long time for the next steps from intake to payment. The ambience is nice, but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the poor service.

Wonderful! Very nice staff and delicious food. Found the restaurant by chance and got the food quickly. Can only recommend the sushi with crispy chicken and teriyaki sauce as well as the squid balls! Was delicious!

Our son “forced” us to go there because of the ramen. When I saw the menu I couldn't decide which I liked better. It was really great. Huge, hot, mega freshly prepared food and unusual drinks. The fried chicken was so good. The dishes are beautiful and the ambience couldn't be better. The service was relaxed and authentic, could have been a little more “authoritative”. It's worth it and we will come again.

Unfortunately I have to give the restaurant one star. I placed an order yesterday and explicitly pointed out my allergy to nuts both over the phone (ordered food to be picked up) and again directly on site and checked with the staff. At home there were peanuts everywhere under the sauce in the food. It is an absolute absurdity to put people with severe allergies in danger, especially since the restaurant's layout and the dishes are more expensive. It's a shame because it took away all my confidence that I would like to come there again and I couldn't eat the food.

"COCONUT SOUP ALA SUSHI" The coconut soup is not recommended with shrimps/prawns or chicken for over 7 euros. The super small portion tasted slightly fishy and was only served lukewarm: the ingredients such as shrimp, raw broccoli, carrot strips and greens as well as the chicken breasts were probably just added to the soup without being cooked or heated beforehand. The portion of rice we ordered for 3 euros was only lukewarm. Nothing was steaming. It was almost exactly 12 noon and the restaurant was almost empty. The food was served too quickly to be served hot. The service misunderstood that both dishes should be completely heated again.

We drove from Dithmarschen to HH specifically to try these viral sushi from Tiktok etc. We were there around lunchtime, the shop was empty at that time, but we were greeted warmly and were able to order straight away. The sushi was excellent!!!!!!!!!😋 Tip: We recommend the homemade lemonades or the lemon raspberry...

Service was great, ambience was very nice, but very loud when it was full. Chicken was a bit dry, my pork belly with lukewarm rice noodles could have been seasoned a little better, rice noodles were very sticky and therefore difficult to eat. The food was okay, but not special either.

Super delicious food! If you tip the waitress enough and they already know you, then the waitress will be great. Otherwise the women are super nice even without tips! We've wanted to go to Shifudo for a long time, and it finally worked out yesterday. The ambience and furnishings are absolutely successful. A mix of modern and a bit Asian. The chairs are super comfortable and the tables are a nice size. The service was good and the food was a poem, there is no other way to say it. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the service offered. We will definitely go here again.

Had sushi twice. The first time it was so delicious that we came back a few weeks later. The 2x time the sushi rolls were significantly smaller and lacked content. In addition, the kitchen was very inflexible when it came to our wishes (that's debatable). The worst thing for me is that I complained twice and was put off to no avail. A friendly gesture would have been appropriate here. I'll avoid the store for now. It's a shame actually, great atmosphere and generally nice staff.

Location and service were very nice but the food wasn't that good. We had ramen and some sushi. In the ramen they put minced meat in instead of normal meat (anyone who knows ramen knows that there shouldn't be any minced meat in it) and the sushi was quite small for the price. We tried it but unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all

Visually it's a really nice restaurant. The employees are all very nice and the food came quickly. However, the prices are very high and the food (ramen in my case) wasn't spicy enough for my taste.

A very nice and modern restaurant. But what really impresses is the food, super fresh and tasty and also made to please the eye. All around great. Only the menus were sometimes a bit wildly mixed up. Staff very nice. Only the music was very loud where we were sitting, which wasn't so pleasant.

+: The Maki Set (€15.90) ​​is a very good choice for trying several Maki at once. The salmon maki and the avocado maki particularly tasted very good. The Tiger Roll (€17.90) also tasted very good. The ingredients harmonized very well. ~: The Karaage (€6.90) tasted good, but the chicken wasn't as juicy as it could have been. -: The lychee iced tea and the mango-lemon drink (€6.90) were not convincing given the high price. It tasted like the respective juice diluted with sparkling water, but the drink was beautifully presented. You should definitely make a reservation as the restaurant is busy. We would come back because of the nice ambience, the good sushi and the appealing menu.

A nice new restaurant in Wandsbek. There's a lot of choice on the menu, the prices are okay, although I found the drinks quite expensive. The chicken is very good and we had a huge portion of ramen. Service was also very friendly, the music didn't really match the atmosphere.

Please plan a little more money as the prices are quite expensive. 7 rolls of 8 pieces each, 1x edamame, 1x large bottle of water 0.75L = 124€ But it was delicious! PS: There is a separate small room upstairs for around 10 people for birthday parties or company events. I like it! Parking situation is catastrophic and impossible, I would recommend everyone to take the train or a taxi to Moia etc.

The sushi was delicious but the wait was very long (1:30). I think if it's not worth it at this price, you can eat cheaper and faster somewhere else. The decor is nice and gives the place a nice atmosphere.
