Very tasty ramen and appetizers in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere at Mercedes-Benz-Platz. The service was quick, attentive and very friendly. Also very fond of children, we visited with friends and their toddler. I'd love to come back soon! 😊

The food is really not good. The ramen smells and tastes like dog food, the chicken with teriyaki is just breading and no meat and the gyoza is just disgusting. The service is very quick and the atmosphere is very nice. Just way too expensive and not good

A restaurant with unusual food that you can't get everywhere. Well suited for dinner. But you should reserve in advance. The furnishings are quite plain and simple. The food was really delicious.

We didn't reserve a table, but we were able to have a table for an hour, which was enough time for us since we were in the UberArena afterwards. Bowl #32 was delicious. My daughter had special requests regarding the ingredients, which wasn't a problem.

We visited and had dinner there yesterday before our event at the Uber Arena. Unfortunately, the service was very hectic when it came to taking the order, which caused unnecessary stress. Our table was near the toilets, so unfortunately a very unpleasant smelling cloud of chlorine washed over to us twice :/ not very appetizing when eating. Whether you use such cleaners is up to you, but please not in a restaurant during opening hours! The vodka butterfly cocktail looked really beautiful and tasted OK, a bit watery. Food was ok. The atmosphere is really cool: you feel like you're in a cool, hip district in Bangkok. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. If you're hungry and are nearby, you should try it out 😊

Restaurant of Japanese cuisine. The interior easily transports you to a Japanese village, it helps to relax from the city bustle. The cuisine is delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters are friendly and clearly know their business, they are well versed in the kitchen menu and know how and what to advise. Dinner for one person will cost 25-35€.

I recently visited the restaurant for dinner with my wife and toddler. While the food was enjoyable, I had a surprising experience. Along with the food, I requested warm water in a cup for my child. The waitress said while she could provide it, it would be served in a tea cup without the tea, and I would be charged the price of tea for it, even though it was just plain hot water. I was put off by her response. This came across plainly as greedy. They clearly prioritize profits and rules over empathy and customer satisfaction. I visit them often for lunch since it is close to my workplace, but I know now where to not go with the toddler. And I wouldn't recommend anyone either if they have any special requests related to kids or diet.

A spontaneous visit to the Uber place brought us to Shibuya. A friendly and courteous welcome and fast service round off the visit with delicious food. Definitely worth recommending. The little “table fog” highlight also contributed to this.

Hahahaha, they charged me for hot water. It does not feel authentic Japanese. I have eaten Japanese food in US, Canada but the taste does not feel like authentic.

If I could I would give 6 stars. Really a great discovery this restaurant. The atmosphere is very inviting, the food (sushi) is perfect, the service is friendly, polite and not too intrusive. The order also came incredibly quickly. We were absolutely thrilled.

The ramen was not only incredibly tasty, but also authentically prepared. The flavors were perfectly balanced. Added to this was the friendly and attentive service, which made the stay particularly pleasant. A highlight for me was the modern payment method: you can easily pay the bill directly at the table using a QR code - quick, uncomplicated and innovative. This saves annoying waiting and rounds off the entire dining experience perfectly.

They were 30 minutes from closing and the Waitress said the kitchen was closing but she would talk to the kitchen for one more dish. She hooked me up. Thank you to that waitress.

I and my companion didn't like the Japanese curry; we had three different versions. Quite salty and yet bland. The homemade drinks, however, were good. The service wasn't particularly friendly, rather stressed, the atmosphere was good. Wouldn't go again.

The food was tasty and simple, nothing special but the ingredients were fresh. Everything was prepared very quickly. The interior is beautiful. We had a friendly and smiling waiter. There is a sign at the entrance stating that payment is only possible in cash.

Food was too expensive and the quality was nothing special. The service was indifferent, we wanted to order something to drink but were consistently ignored. Overall, the older lady seemed rather annoyed and should perhaps reconsider her choice of job. She couldn't explain why card payments wouldn't be accepted in the middle of Berlin in 2024...

Shibuya Panasian is a popular lunch spot for those working in Uber Square. Their reduced menu prices for ramen or sushi combos make it an affordable option without sacrificing taste. I personally prefer their sushi, which is consistently fresh and delicious. The complimentary tea or miso adds a nice touch to the meal.

Very fast service, but the quality of the food is plain terrible. We took a sashimi salmon bowl and a grilled salmon bowl. These 2 dishes were made on amature level, the pieces of salmon were thin and small, the rice wasn't sushi rice at all, honestly it's a disgrace to this style of cuisine. It's also expensive, 18 euro for 1 dish. We only finished the meal because we were very hungry. Not recommended.

The restaurant is such a missed opportunity, let down mainly by the staff who were rude, inattentive, and abrasive! Worst of all the staff seemed to take advantage of anyone who was a tourist or spoke English (not realising some English speakers also understand German fluently). In particular the short older Asian lady (who seemed to be owner/manager) and a portly ethnic man behind the bar - were very aggressive and rude, and continually argued with several customers and were very dismissive to many customers in my short visit to the restaurant. A few examples from my one hour visit illustrate why I think you should avoid this place, especially if you’re a tourist : 1. As soon as they thought I only speak English they told me I could only come in if I paid in cash (despite letting in several German speaking customers before and after me who asked to pay by card) 2. When the staff thought I didn’t speak German they immediately started gossiping loudly in front of me in German about me and other customers l and making offensive and crude remarks about their customers. 3. Another English speaking table asked for some tap water for their 2 young children, the waiters flatly refused and said the customer would have to pay for either still or sparkling water if they wanted water for their kids. The customer was taken aback and advised them that this was illegal in Germany and they are required to provide water, but the waiter and lady manager continued to refuse and force them to pay for water for the children 4. The staff are constantly speaking aloud to each other about customers in an offensive manner (especially customers who they think can’t speak German). And there were many staff walking and smoking in between tables who were eating their meals - this was very unprofessional and rude; and I’m not sure why they would act so disrespectful to customers as there were several customers who didnt appreciate the smoke from staff being around them. 5. There is absolute zero customer service or courtesy towards guests, and yet they still almost demand that you give them a tip at the end. And if you try and refuse they then start speaking to each other in German about you in an offensive manner and then try to rush you out of the restaurant. After all this it is really hard to critique the food, because the service and attitude of almost all the staff was/is so rude - you aren’t really able to enjoy the food or experience. And given that the manager/owners seem to lead the staff in being soo rude and offensive it really is surprising that this restaurant hasn’t put more people off - or perhaps there just aren’t enough honest reviews by people who are locals because they are fearful of the response they’d get from staff who aren’t afraid of being rude in public. My honest recommendation is to avoid this restaurant at all cost! Germany is full of options and it’s a pity this one let’s the side down on soo many fronts.

Japanese restaurant located in the plaza in front of the Uber Arena in the East Side Gallery. The choice is not much, but the dishes are very satisfying. I recommend the Takoyaki (7.5 euros for 4 meatballs) and the rice bowl with eel, very soft! For sake lovers: I recommend the Ozeki (7 euros). For lovers of cold drinks: take the drink with Litchi. NOTE: - No all you can eat formula - Cash only (updated July 2024)

Best asian restaurant ever. Got special sushi rolls and ramen soups. Food was amazing, fresh ingredients, nice presentation and worth the price. Great and fast service on a lovely spot with relaxing and fitting atmosphere. We definately recommend it

The food is delicious, beyond words! But the service is terrible. Disingenuous staff. Without emotions and smiles. It's like aliens are serving. And when paying, you are required to leave a tip without choice and at least 10%. A shame!

I ordered the unagi bowl and the allergens were not correct on the menu. When I told the staff the woman in charge, she was very rude and reluctant to replace it for me. They eventually fixed it but were consistently rude. I expect better service if I'm paying this much for the food.

Perfect place for fresh, beautifully presented and delicious Sushi. Can also recommend the curry and ramen, as well as the starters. The drinks also complete a perfect meal. If you ever go to the Uber Area, you should go eat here!

TLDR; Clearly understaffed and unprofessional. “We are in Germany, speak German”. Entered the restaurant, got pointed to a table by the lady at the front. Lady drops the menu without as much of a glance and mutters in English that it’s cash only. Fine, seems like a busy night. Little did we know this would become half an hour of zero service. We seem to be one of at least four tables trying to get the waiter’s attention, to no avail - no amount of waiting, eye contact, or waving could get anyone to acknowledge the tables. There was a QR code that did pathetically little, as it led to a PDF of the menu rather than an ordering system, and the payment is useless since it’s cash only and someone will have to come handle the cash. Tough luck getting that to happen when everyone is too busy carrying empty glasses to take orders or guide potential customers to their seats. At last, someone from my party had enough and confronted the lady to repeatedly loudly asking in English if we could order. For this I apologise. The concern should be voiced more reasonably, no need for raised volumes, and really we should have just left when it is clear the staff had neither the intention nor capacity to provide their goods and services. In return, it is the right of the business to refuse service. However, I don’t think it’s appropriate how the staff reacted. The lady threw the menu on the table in response and repeatedly accosted the individual in our party saying how he should speak in German rather than English since it’s Germany. The other young man in the front hall chimed in to do the same. To be clear, I don’t pretend that our party was faultless, I think tourists should not take English service for granted (although we have had the great pleasure of interacting with Berliners who kindly accommodated us in English or were willing to converse with us in German despite the language barrier), and I lament the situation escalated in the first place. Still, I’m at a disbelief that she and her fellow staff would immediately resort to stereotypical xenophobic remark. How is this acceptable service? Had there been any care or even an ounce of acknowledgement on the lack of service in the prior half an hour, I doubt the situation would have escalated as such. Bad days can happen - it was a bad day for us and perhaps for the staff too - but it’s truly a shame to see this attitude used as a cheap defence. Both restaurant staff and customers deserve to be treated with full respect, hence I focus my review on our experience up to the regretful confrontation: minimal service, wilfully disregards customers knowing that there will always be more gullible tourists wandering in at this prime location so who cares if their experience is horrific. At the end of the day, clearly the staff are overworked just with collecting empty glasses from the outdoor seats. Maybe hire more staff, reduce the seats, or get a digital ordering and payment system that works instead of treating paying customers with disdain. Here’s to better days for anyone who chose to visit this restaurant - especially English speakers - and the overworked staff members. Have a good life.

The food was below average for Berlin, the service was a bit stressful and we had problems with payment for half an hour because the system was stuck.

Ordered the Beef Ramen. 17 € a pop. Taste was barely acceptable... I mean the location is fancy, but for this price I was expecting way better quality. I've also ordered a cup of jasmine tea, and well... was just a little more than hot water. Service was friendly, otherwise it would have been a really bad experience.

It's a really nice place. Popped in here when looking for dinner. It's in a nice location, and the food is delicious and ample potions. The staff is courteous and the vibes are good. When I visited, they accepted only cash, so make sure you have enough Euro bills with you.

I received a different dish than what I ordered. The waitress insisted that I show this on the menu. There was no discussion, I had to take it. The whole thing in a very unfriendly manner.

I ordered sushi to go today and it was ready for pickup within a few minutes. The good: the fish was fresh and of good quality. The negative: the rice. Just old, hardened and dry. I never had anything like that. It was inedible.

Great restaurant with a great ambience. You feel like you've been transported straight into a traditional Tokyo district. The name is program. Service and food were very tasty. The wakame salad and butterfish were my highlight. A good place to go before a concert to strengthen yourself. There is only one disadvantage, hence a star deduction. No card payment is possible. So bring cash.

Chinese people don’t lie to Chinese people. This store is one of the most disgusting ones I have ever seen in Germany and even in Europe. Racial discrimination and extremely poor service attitude. After we entered the store and ordered food, a friend suffered from hypoglycemia, so he took out the chocolate he brought and ate it. At this time, the waiter (an old lady with a Hong Kong accent) came over and said in Chinese that they do not allow bringing in food here. We explained the situation and she rolled her eyes and left. After we finished eating, we took a few sips of the drinks we brought with us, and the old lady came over again and said something about not being allowed to drink. We politely asked her, is this prohibited by any law? She said it's not a law, it's the restaurant's rules. We asked again, are your restaurant rules posted on the wall? Why didn't we see it? She said that this is common sense in Germany and she has never seen us being so ignorant of the rules. I choked back, I have never seen her so rude. It’s really outrageous. I have been studying, working and living in Europe and North America for six or seven years. I have been to all kinds of Chinese and Western restaurants, high-end and low-end. There has never been a restaurant that would stop customers from eating after they order and consume normally (emphasis added). The two of them packed their own stuff to cushion their bellies. What was even more incomprehensible was that when the white couple next to her brought their children some fruit to eat, she just pretended not to see it. It is not uncommon for old Chinese immigrants to discriminate against mainland tourists, but such blatant double standards really set my limits. If you don’t want to get angry, go next door and eat Italian food.

The ramen was bad and the sushi average at best. The good part is that I was seated with a stranger and we had a nice conversation.

However, I could observe that other guests were being added to other tables. The map is good and not too big. Drinks are good. Prices acceptable. Location ideal for attending a concert. Despite the crowds around the restaurant, you would be served quickly.

Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely thrilled with the sushi. The rice was a bit dry and the makis were portioned thinner for the price, in contrast to other restaurants. However, I really liked the sweet potato chips! They were crispy and just a different kind of fries :)🍟 The jasmine tea was ok. I also really liked the look of the restaurant and has a traditional Asian design. 💚 I give it three stars because in my opinion it doesn't correspond to the price range. We paid €80 for the meal, which you can see in the pictures 🥲

I went to Shibuya for lunch with my parents between the Berlinale films. The wait staff consisted of two Chinese ladies who didn't feel like waiting for our order due to unexpected guests. I thought that was rude. The food was OK, but the small portions at high prices don't give me a reason to go there again. 👎
