Shere Punjab in München

Super delicious duck was as described on the menu, nice and crispy and, as we chose, spicy.

I went there for dinner at 3:00 in the afternoon. I was really looking forward to Indian food. Unfortunately, the meat wasn't fresh. I told the waiter I didn't like it, but he didn't care.

I ordered lamb Barani – unfortunately, the meat was very tough and not at all like it used to be. Very disappointing. And this is the second time.

The portions were large and the food was delicious!

I never would have thought I could get such delicious crispy duck at such a fair price on Leopoldstrasse. A really large portion with wonderful rice on the side. The warm cottage cheese balls aren't visually spectacular, but they're heavenly. I would have liked to try some more interesting desserts. The service was super attentive and friendly. I'd love to come back because you can also sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle of Leopoldstrasse.

i tried to order from them and not only did they not make the order but when i called to check with them, the restaurant worker spoke extremely rudely. they could have easily contacted me but claimed that my number on the app was wrong which is not true, its just a non-german number. this man switched the conversation to punjabi/hindi and just went on to berate me instead of accepting they could have contacted me if they were having trouble with my address. insanely rude, unnecessary and unprofessional.

We found the curry to be very unseasoned, and the appetizers in general were tough and dry. I've tried many Indian restaurants, but unfortunately, this one wasn't what I expected. We won't be going back, but the atmosphere and service were nice.

Whenever we're craving Indian food, we always come here! Today we tried a new dish – lemon and prawn pasta, absolutely delicious!

Unbelievable... Everything from deep-fried food because it was all yesterday's... 3 small pieces of chicken with tomato pasta for €10, the best I can get, then a cold bit in 30-degree weather. I have a stomach ache and a big leak. Zero points for everything.

Robbed! Six of us were at the restaurant yesterday for a birthday party. Since the weather was nice, we wanted to sit outside (right by the entrance). After a while, we noticed that €150 had been taken from the gift bag. When we asked the owner about it, no help was forthcoming. We asked about the cameras, and the answer was, "We don't have any cameras outside, and the ones inside don't film the entrance" (a complete lie!). The birthday girl was very upset, and even then, the owner didn't offer any explanation or any kind of sympathy. From the beginning to the end, he stood at the entrance and watched us (six women). When we finally wanted to pay with our debit cards, he didn't like it at all. I would avoid this restaurant from now on! And for those who do want to eat there, keep an eye on your valuables.

The meat (lamb and chicken) is of very poor quality, never again.

I've eaten there several times and have had food delivered to my home a few times. The chicken tikka masala is delicious, and the mango lassi is one of the best I've had in Munich. Above all, the service is very attentive.

Portions size is significantly smaller than before, plastic containers, changes for all the recipes... The Palak is not spicy anymore, the onion rings are no longer crispy, the naan bread is way thinner and the chicken tastes like rubber. Seems like a new owner, never ordering here again.

Portions are getting smaller and smaller. Food was delivered cold. After we called and reported it, they said, "We'll do better next time." The meat is cheap. Simply disgusting. Never again!

I visited this restaurant and ordered the Cauliflower Manchurian, Chicken Malai Tikka, and Gulab Jamun. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. The Cauliflower Manchurian was just plain boiled cauliflower with some vegetables—no coating, no flavor. The Chicken Malai Tikka was very dry and rubbery, and the Gulab Jamun was hard and not fresh. The food tasted like it came out of a can—definitely not what you’d expect from a proper Indian kitchen. When I mentioned the quality of the food to the manager, he was initially kind and offered us free beers as a gesture of goodwill, which we appreciated. However, the situation took a turn when it came to the bill. I was charged €34.80, and the bill only listed the Cauliflower Manchurian and Chicken Tikka—no mention of the Gulab Jamun. When I asked, the manager said it was €6.80, but the menu showed it was around €5. After I pointed this out, he returned the €2, but it felt dishonest. I told him that while I didn’t expect a full refund, some form of acknowledgment for the poor quality would have been appreciated. Surprisingly, he refunded the entire amount, which I didn’t ask for—but then he started shouting at me, calling me disrespectful and told me never to come back. I remained respectful the whole time, so his reaction was completely out of line. This was an unpleasant experience overall—bland food, questionable billing practices, and very poor customer service. Definitely not a place I’d recommend or return to.

The food is very good, but the service is a bit grumpy. Cash is preferred, even though you can pay by card. The price/performance ratio is very good by Munich standards.

I had a vindaloo curry and garlic naan. The curry was sufficiently spicy (maybe a bit lacking on curry spices but that’s just personal preference). Service was friendly and atmosphere up-beat

We were in the mood for Indian food and hit the jackpot. Food great, service very attentive. After paying, the waiter came to the table again to apologize for a mistake. He accidentally charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass and gave €13 in cash back after there was another shot. Very happy again!

I was accidentally delivered the wrong dish. The restaurant responded immediately and I received the dish I ordered within a few minutes. That's what I call perfect service. And the palak paneer was delicious.

The atmosphere is super!!!! Interesting interior, colorful music, neat tables!!! The waiter is very attentive, friendly, but not intrusive!!! The presentation of the dishes is very interesting!!! Everything was delicious, satisfying and unique!! The portions are very large!!! A visit to this restaurant made my day 😉 I wish you all positivity, PEACE and such delicious food as there!! I dont understand the bad reviews. We came here today afternoon having the lunch menu. Butter chicken and tandori chicken masala. It’s very good. We will definately come again. Hospitality is also nice.

My friend ordered me food online through u*** eats (2 samosas, lentilssoup, and mango lasi) today 17.02.2025 came delivery man, brought my soup that already wash everything inside the plastic. They dont pack properly!

Everything is tip top. Cleanliness is the top priority here. The staff is very nice. Toilets are clean. Food tastes good, what more could you want?

Eingangs gilt es zu erwähnen, dass das Essen an sich wirklich gut war - aber: wenn auf der Karte steht, dass zu jedem Hauptgericht Basmati-Reis gereicht wird, dann sollte er auch dabei sein (d.h. das Tangri Kebab für 14 Euro aus dem Tandoori kam ohne Reis und leider war auch der Kellner nicht mehr gesehen - somit lecker, aber leider mangels Reis nicht wirklich sättigend). Die Bedienung hat einem insgesamt leider nicht gerade das Gefühl gegeben, hier besonders willkommen zu sein, aber dafür war die Preisgestaltung (Gemüsesuppe für 4,50 Euro, der Salat mit Huhn für 8,90 Euro und die Flasche Wasser für 5,90 Euro) ok.

Four of us went for dinner this evening. It was super delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We even got a free dessert and a drink. Simply fantastic.

2-hour delivery time for sub-par food... it was bland and had nothing to do with Indian food; the money is better spent at Mecces...

Bad & unmotivated servers, horribly bland food! :( We were excited to rediscover this place, since it used to be great! We were negatively surprised. Most of the dishes are reheated canned food with no seasoning, not even salt! Even a thermomix would’ve cooked it better.

We ordered food, which was stated to be delivered within 40 minutes. In the end, however, we had to wait almost 2.5 hours, and the food wasn't really warm when it arrived. After an hour, I called to ask where the food was. They assured me it would arrive soon, but that turned out not to be the case. After another call 40 minutes later, I was again told that the food would arrive soon. So if you want a nice evening with hot and quick food, you should definitely NOT order from here!

Nothing special about the food... You can get such dishes anywhere in Munich... The waiters' attitude was a nightmare... The guy was angry because we wanted to eat there.

A very bad experience... Today I went to the restaurant around 5 p.m. ... The waiter was a bit rushed or worried. He looked at me strangely the whole time and when I wanted to pay, the waiter told me that only cash was possible... When he realized that I really didn't have any cash, the guy finally brought the device... I can't describe his face when I didn't leave a tip... The food wasn't anything special either... I don't like to leave such bad comments here, but I haven't been served as badly as today in a long time.

The food was very good, sometimes better than at the Punjab Grill. Service from Binder is excellent, the ambience is simply knitted. But it's also a tiny shop. We'd love to come back! Were here again today and everything was perfect! Yummy! But Punjab Grill with my chef is definitely better!

I ordered Uber eats, the driver was nice, the bread was unfortunately burnt... there was hardly any cheese in it and it didn't taste like cheese

I ordered from Shere Punjab for the first time via Lieferando and was immediately impressed! The chicken curry had a pleasant spiciness, just right for my taste, and the coconut chicken was also excellent - tender and creamy, simply delicious. The naan bread was also super fresh and baked to perfection. The order arrived after just 25 minutes and everything was still warm and tasted fantastically fresh. Overall a great experience, both in terms of taste and the quality of the dishes. I'm honestly surprised at some of the bad reviews. I have already ordered from 3 other Indian restaurants whose dishes were either overcooked or tasted like processed food. I absolutely cannot confirm this in the courts mentioned. I will definitely order from here again and recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Indian food!

Delicious food and friendly and helpful staff

I have been to this restaurant several times over the years and have always found the atmosphere to be cozy, as well as the polite, friendly service. The food was always plentiful (sauce and rice), tasty and fresh in terms of vegetables and the ingredients of the sauce. Chai and mango lassi also good. By the way, I find some of the negative reviews very strange, but "to each his own" (as the saying goes). I can definitely recommend this restaurant as a good middle class restaurant. Price and performance fit well.

Same bullshit every time. We've been waiting for our food for almost 2 hours and when you call they say the driver will be there in 5 minutes. That's impudence.

I ordered chili paneer and chicken vindalo But chili paneer gravy was very thin and chicken vindalo gravy like tomato soup. Just dal makhni is ok. When I call to owner he said this time our chef is tired if your chef was tired so why you receive new order. It’s very disappointing .

Naan bread was delivered and tasted like cheap bread with Maggi on it. Chicken Palak Spinach slightly burnt not spicy enough too few ingredients. Rice left in too long. Price-performance ratio is simply terrible.

Great location, service OK, but food disappointing. E.g.: the lentil soup was more of a lentil soup spritzer and the main course had canned mushrooms. A pity!

We cannot confirm the negative criticism from a year ago. We often go out for Indian food and can only say that the food in the restaurant was excellent. Service very friendly. We also took pakoras with us. However, the sauces were bland.

Unfortunately we had to order online because we got sick over the holidays. Ordered Chicken Tikka twice - what came: Goulash, paella, or Djuvec rice??? I have no idea - it only tasted like chilli and nothing else - the worst "chicken tikka" I've ever had to try... Creepy!!!

Our first night in Munich we stopped in for a late dinner. The restaurant was very comfortable and had a number of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu which drove our decision. After we were seated, we began reading some of the reviews which were not great, but decided to stick with our choice. SOO glad we did! The service was great - our waiter was prompt and helpful without making us feel rushed. The food was excellent- we had the mango chicken, the crispy duck with mango sauce, the vegetarian lentils, samosas, lentil soup and the potato and eggplant vegan dish. Everything was well seasoned and tasty. Oh, and be sure to try the garlic naan! The portions were generous and served with fluffy basmati rice. We highly recommend!

Das Fleisch war leider sehr zäh und das Essen allgemein wenig gewürzt. Chilli Cheese Naan ist scharf aber das wars auch.

I ordered via uber eats, everything came warm and safe. I ordered Shere punjab thali which was very tasty, just one dry bread wasn’t enough. Lamb Biriyani was also tasty. I didn’t like the naans they were too thick and onion rings were not so good. But the rest very delicious. I also don’t understand so many bad reviews, all the sauces were good and nor bland at all. Some were spicy some no but all good.

Good food. Ambiance is also good. Unfortunately I had a not so good experience with the service. Staff was little rude with us. But food taste is really good. Right next to Münchener Freiheit U Bahn Station. So the location is also very good and easily accessible.

Terrible service, the food was mediocre. The waiter was really rude and discourteous - he seemed frustrated that I was asking questions about how they prep the vegetarian food, and if there was mixing or cross-contamination with non-veg. He even told me to go back to India. Maybe they're getting so much business that they don't care about being nice to their customers. In terms of food, I ordered the palak paneer. The paneer was good but the palak was ok. I've had much better and authentic food. I still can't get over the terrible service and attitude. Oh, he also forced me to pay cash instead of using my credit card. I will not be going here again.

Einfach sagen es war kein Namen vor der Tür und wir nicht gefunden habe! Sieht jemamd in München irgendwo gibt es kein Namen vor dem Tür! Die schlimmste Ausrede! Die denken die Menschen sind idiot! Und können einfach alles sagen. Ok ich bin hunger geblieben und habe 20 Euro verlieren! Dann pass auf!

Bastante buena la comida picante y diferente. Buen servicio, ambiente agradable. Recomendable para disfrutar de comida variada, picante y con especias. Muy rico todo.

Das essen ist immer ein wahnsinn. Es ist super lecker. Mein problem ist der preis. Innerhalb von nicht einmal einem jahr wurde das gericht butter chicken immer teurer. Vor nem monat noch 15 euro jetzt 16:90. Bald 20 euro? Und es ist nichtmal so das man auch mehr kriegt. Die portionen sind immer unterschiedlich. Ich bitte euch die preise auf 15 euro wieder runterzubringen. Bitte bitte bitte.

Ich war schon oft hier gut esse fast immer das gleiche entweder Hühnchen Curry oder indische Linsen, und die sind einfach super lecker, ich kann das Essen wirklich empfehlen!

Habe ausversehen sehr spät bestellt, sodass der Inhaber noch eine halbe Stunde nach Ladenschließung warten musste bis ich kam. Er war trotzdem sehr freundlich und das Essen war super lecker und warm. Sehr empfehlenswert und bin sehr dankbar, dass er meine Bestellung überhaupt angenommen hatte. Gerne wieder !!

Günstige Mittagskarte zu Standardqualtät. Achtung!: Wird grantig wenn mit Karte bezahlt wird. Mag keine Kartenzahlungen, lieber Cash. Bedienung beobachtet einen ständig, jedoch nicht unbedingt freundlich wirkend. Aber für schnell mal mittags durchaus ok.

I have never eat that bad Indian food. My tikka masala had no taste at all and with a note “please, spicy” and the worst rice ever...how rice could be done bad ? So I would never recommend a place to go there or to deliver, as delivery took 2 hours and I am pretty sure, they had it ready, and did not cook.

Made a Trip Advisor account just to rant about this place, might as well have burned 40 euros. I’d be less incensed if I’d been physically mugged. If you’re going to order a curry from here, you’re going to get tomato soup. We ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and a ‘Lamb Curry’. The chicken in the Tikka Massla was wildly undercooked. I ate a single piece of chicken and nothing more for fear of my health. Once I’d tipped the rest of this slop down the sink, it unveiled a mass of uncooked onion and pepper. The ‘Lamb Curry’ was tomato soup with pieces of lamb. There’s no other way to describe it, that’s exactly what it was. The Cheese Naan was pitiful. Soggy. Worryingly tasteless. Not even sure there was cheese in there. Just revolting. Photos included for your viewing pleasure.

Overpriced, under seasoned, and under cooked food. The chicken tikka masala was barely cooked and tasteless. The ominously named “Lamb Curry” smelled and tasted like tinned tomato soup, and you could find less soggy naan breads floating down the Isar. If you want a nice Indian while in Munich, you would struggle to find worse places to buy from.

I ordered through take away for the first time to try out a new Indian Restaurant and was extremely disappointed. Compared to other Indian restaurants in Munich, this was by far the worst I've had so far. The despite the price being comparable to most Indian restaurants in the city, there is seemingly no quality to the ingredients or authenticity to their recipes. I mean, at least I noticed that they actually use safraan, which many resaurants avoid due to how expensive it is, but the food Tikka Masala I ordered (a pretty standard dish in Indian cuisine) was bland, the chicken was flavourless and dry, and the rice had no flavour to it,with the exception of the aweful aftertaste. The garlic naan was a joke and a complete waste of money. I'd wager you'd find better cook on Kitchen Nightmares than at Shere. I would strongly avise that you find ANY other option for your food. Even if it's the only Indian near you, suck it up and get a pizza. Save yourself the disappointment.
