Buffet with a huge selection of food

An Asian restaurant like so many others. Comparisons are easy to make, but unfortunately, this one is rather mediocre. The food is okay, the selection more or less standard. There's a Mongolian grill, but my food was burnt. The tables are very close together, and the entrance isn't very inviting. They offer an all-you-can-eat option with or without drinks. The price is acceptable, but there are similar or even better options for the same price, both in terms of location and menu. There's plenty of parking, but it could get tight when it's busy. The service was friendly, although the staff always seemed very stressed. In conclusion: I prefer other restaurants.

By far the worst Asian food in North Rhine-Westphalia (that I've ever tried). Sorry, but it's completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend it; the quality of the meat and other dishes is terrible.

I went to Shaolin XING for a family meal. The food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the price was reasonable for our large family. 5 stars from me. We'll definitely be back.

We've been to your place many times now; I recently celebrated my birthday there, and we're coming again with 20 people on Boxing Day. So we're completely satisfied.

Our whole family has been eating there for years and we've NEVER had any complaints. I don't really like eating Chinese/Mongolian food because I once got food poisoning, but I've never had any problems there. We've been going there for a good 10 years. Even when I was pregnant, and still today. The prices and taste are top-notch. The staff (family business) are incredibly sweet and super friendly. Children are also welcome there and don't disturb anyone, even when it's loud. In some cases, they even care for a crying child and look after them, so even the mother can finish her meal in peace! You guys are great 🫶🏻

This is my favorite restaurant in Mülheim. I go there several times a year and sometimes order food for pickup. The buffet is fantastic; it leaves nothing to be desired. The pickup portions are too big to eat in one sitting.

We came here to try it out because we were looking for a location for my birthday. We were thrilled because they have a separate room for small groups of up to 20 people.

It's a truly huge place...wow...but they've still managed to create a great atmosphere. Hats off. And the food is really good...seriously...no complaints. With so many customers, the noise level is incredibly loud, like in a train station...that's understandable, since the place is as big as a train station...you can barely hold a conversation...but you can safely overlook this, because the rest is simply fantastic. Despite the gigantic size of the place, the service is amazingly good. I can recommend it without reservation, if you can tolerate a loud atmosphere.

Yes, I can recommend the place. I'll be hosting my birthday party there with 11 people. A nice restaurant with nice people.

It's nonsense that you have to pay €3 for an 18-month-old child and that you have to buy a drink at the buffet. Especially if you don't want to drink anything with your meal, you're charged a €2 surcharge. You can't swap a large drink you've booked for a small one; the service is unfriendly. No one helps you; you're simply turned away.

(Almost) everything was delicious! But that's a matter of taste... Friendly staff and a well-programmed robot serving. Nice idea. Beautiful ambiance and very clean. A very large selection of drinks. Amazing! The focus of this concept, however, is the buffet, and it impresses with fresh food, always "amply" replenished, clean, and tidy. That's exactly what you want. Overall, I'd happily recommend this restaurant!

I'm always happy with the selection and the grill. The food tastes very good. It's all-you-can-eat, but of all the places I've visited, it's one of the best. The robot that brings you the food from the grill is a bit of entertainment. The prices for the flat rate, including drinks, are absolutely fair.

The used plates are cleared away quickly. The food prepared on the grill is brought to the table by a robot. The price of food and drink is reasonable.

We have been regular customers at this fantastic Asian-Mongolian restaurant for two years - and for good reason! The dishes are not only incredibly tasty, but also prepared with a lot of love and care. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and the price-performance ratio is perfect, even if the prices have increased slightly. A special highlight is the robot that serves the freshly grilled food - a great experience for the whole family! By far the best Asian restaurant we know. We come with the whole family at least twice a month and look forward to it every time! Absolute recommendation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Small portions, but they are too expensive

Our favorite buffet Mongolian. Rarely go there for years. The quality has been great for years. Of course it has become more expensive over the years. Still acceptable though. Drinks flat rate is great. Especially since the selection is gigantic. A number of red and white wines, a number of beers, soft drinks, juices, spritzers, fizzy drinks and so on. There is a typical buffet with Chinese dishes, a salad buffet, a sushi buffet, a dessert buffet and of course the Mongolian fresh buffet where you serve your own plate. Dirty plates are picked up from the table very quickly and the service is super nice. My favorite there, the sour-spicy soup, the beef with onions, the spicy chicken...actually everything

30 euros worth of food some were bad such as shrimp. Soup thick and liquid. Some things are too salty. 🍉 tasted like fish

Service best no star at all! The waitress yells at you at your seat because you left two shrimps on your plate. And then people complain when you make a small bowl full of sweets for the children. Unbelievably dirty shop!!!!

I was in this restaurant today and was looking forward to a cozy evening with good food. The selection was okay, the food tasted solid, and the service was initially friendly. However, there was an unpleasant surprise at the end: three minutes before my booked three hours were up, I wasn't brought anything to drink. I understand that there is a time limit, but such a rigid rule seems petty - especially when it's only a matter of a few minutes. A little more goodwill and customer friendliness would have made the evening much more pleasant. It's a shame, because it leaves a bland aftertaste that spoils the otherwise very good impression.

We've been there twice now. Once at Christmas and then at the beginning of January for a birthday dinner... We reserved a table every time and it worked out great. Food was tasty, fresh and a large selection at the buffet and drinks. We had both all you can eat and drink. We found the little robot that brings the food from the Mongolian grill to the table funny.

Warm dishes are very salty or have a lot of soy sauce. Buffet selection was very good, service was very friendly and it was refilled very quickly. Grill buffet very good, especially the meat. Grill plates are brought by the cat robot. I'd love to come back.

We were there for the first time. A table for 20 people was booked and we received a round table with a rotating table. The idea was very different from what had happened before. Our idea was that everything would be on the rotating plate and everyone could help themselves without disturbing the person sitting next to them. Far from it... Everyone had to keep getting up and walking to the buffet, which meant that you had to keep getting up and making room. It was extremely crowded, long lines at the buffet. Here it would make more sense to expand the buffet area a little. This would mean there would be less seating for guests, but the ambience would then have a better effect on the individual guest. The food was rather sola. Either too spicy, too bland and very greasy. If the meat is basically "bathing" in fat/oil, I don't find it appetizing. What was interesting was the robot that “brought” the freshly prepared meat/fish to the table. The chocolate fountain was nicely done, but placed in a corner where it tends to be overlooked. The service was tried hard, but extremely overwhelmed, but always friendly and accommodating. Very unfavorable for a family celebration/Christmas party.

On Christmas Day there was no other Chinese restaurant in Mülheim a.d.Ruhr. The crowd was overwhelming. By the way, we made reservations without knowing it. We haven't been to this restaurant in a while and wouldn't risk it again. The service was very attentive and friendly, but overwhelmed given the crowds queuing at the buffet.

Food, service and ambience are very good. A free parking space is also available. The service robot is an eye-catcher and the games room is a good idea. Now for the star deduction: In my opinion, the prices for children are overpriced and the time you are allowed to stay in the restaurant is also too short.

For children aged 1-2 years you charge 5 euros where adults go over 30 euros, that's really a disgrace, what does a 1 year old child eat for 5 euros?!!where else do children up to 5 years eat for free.

Large restaurant, food was just ok and also overpriced, elsewhere and smaller restaurants had much better food and cheaper. And now comes the high point: the two of us only ordered something from the menu because we couldn't eat that much. The rest ate all you can eat. We were strictly watched to ensure that we didn't put any crumbs from other people's all-you-can-eat plates into our mouths. People kept walking past us and looking, you just felt like you were being watched the whole time you were eating, like you were in prison or something, I've never eaten like that before. And what I experienced and heard for the first time in this Chinese restaurant is that if you leave too much of the all-you-can-eat on your plate, which you can no longer manage to eat, you will be fined five euros for it pay. For me, all you can eat means that I can and can eat as much as I want and that's it. That's how I knew it everywhere before. But well, it's not enough that I've already paid €30 for it. It was definitely the first time I ate here, but also the last time it was such a bummer.

Very nice restaurant, great food and drinks. My husband and I were there on a public holiday and all the staff were very attentive. The only drawback is that the sauces where you can have something fried yourself are unfortunately like water and hardly tasted like anything else - everything else was super delicious We'll be back

At the all-you-can-eat buffet it is always the case that you go 2-3 times as often as you are hungry. Same here. There is definitely something for Asia lovers, and the dessert is also impressive. If you have something freshly prepared, a robot now brings it to the table. The service staff is quick and courteous.

The food was good and varied, we now know quite a few restaurants in this category, I personally would put this in the middle segment, what I personally liked was that it wasn't so crowded and you could still have a good conversation. The atmosphere is getting old, or at least that was my impression. What I personally would have enjoyed is a larger selection of food; people are probably too spoiled these days. At least we know it from other restaurants. What I noticed negatively is that Sille water cannot be found in the drinks area. It was only when I asked whether still water was available that I was given a bottle from the counter. This is also easier in the other restaurants. If you feel like it, you can take part in the food rescue at the end of the lunch buffet or the evening buffet using the TooGoodToGo app and take a bowl from the buffet with you for just €6.

The store is not a huge 'food temple' like other stores with this concept. The seating area is a bit angled so that you can eat in peace and not have that cafeteria atmosphere. We've been there twice so far, and each time it was well attended, but not extremely overcrowded. The buffet is a little smaller compared to the competition, but still offers everything you need and, in my opinion, the selection is of a higher quality. You notice this especially when you fry meat and fish. The service is very attentive and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend the all you can eat with flat rate drinks. On the one hand, it pays off in no time, and on the other hand, there are also one or two treats waiting in the drinks refrigerators 😉.

I used to love eating there. Yesterday I was there around 6 p.m. and what can I say? The food was too cold. Everything just lukewarm. Squid rings could have been from lunch. I had beef fillet fried. Not only was it grilled to death, the quality of the meat wasn't good either. Totally fibrous and sinewy. What the food lacked in warmth was passed on to the drinks. Iced tea at room temperature just doesn't taste good. The service was good as usual. This serving robot cat is completely annoying. She's constantly playing some kind of music and singing that she's on her way to distribute food. At every table the thing is saying that it is here now. This is extremely disruptive when eating. All in all. €30 per person including a flat rate for drinks that are too warm is a bit steep. I don't think I'll be eating there again anytime soon.

The sushi buffet is a bit poor (few varieties), the food is nothing special, it's aimed at the masses. Nothing that would make me go to Shao specifically. Service very quick and attentive. What's special is that you can have the buffet with or without drinks, which I think costs 8 euros more. For me it's not worth it, but for others it might be. quite lucrative. Ambiance is okay, not as loud as in some other restaurants because everything is winding and divided.

My Chinese restaurant is nicely divided, not too loud. The food is great and is always being refilled. Everyone can also put together their own food and have it fried. The finished food is then delivered to the table by a robot. A candy bar doesn't just make children's hearts beat faster. I can only recommend taking the All Flatt food and drink all inclusive, you can enjoy everything here for 3 hours. The staff is always nice and the used dishes are always cleared away from the table. Come and enjoy!
