Had a buffet lunch with seven people on the holiday. However, charging 15.90 euros each (!) for a buffet for two five-year-olds who eat three chicken nuggets and a handful of fries and an ice cream is simply a rip-off. Because people are happy to follow the example of other comparable restaurants (=5.90 euros for small children)

Update from January 2025 As always, incredibly well attended and great buffet selection and quality. Only the grill wasn't convincing.... The great meat was once again on the grill for so long that it was dried out and hard - a shame. ______________________________________ Update from August '22 Still a great restaurant. Everything there, everything fresh, super friendly, fast service! The buffet price in the evening has increased to €20 - you have to be hungry... Oh yes, there is also plenty of parking space. I'm now increasing it to 5 stars 🤩 ________________________________________ Very good and tasty buffet selection! We were there for the evening buffet and spent a lovely evening with friends. The dishes are all top fresh and some are on ice. Basically there isn't much of anything lying around, but things are always freshly refilled. The "wild" meat, such as beef or zebra, is prepared on the Mongolian grill, but was quite tough. The buffet price of €17 isn't exactly a bargain, but it's okay considering the performance.

After many years again in Shangri-La. Once one of the first all-you-can-eat restaurants in Regensburg, today it is still just mediocre for me. There is a huge selection of fish, seafood, meat and vegetables that you can fry yourself. There is also a selection of ready-made meals and desserts. Sushi is also available. I think the quality of the dishes is “okay-good”, my biggest problem is always that the finished dishes are not hot but only lukewarm. The taste is also a bit flat, so “okay” The Shangri is priced perfectly, the service is quick and the atmosphere is like it was 10 years ago. For me, however, there are better alternatives in the surrounding area.

Good, reasonable restaurant, I travel a lot in the Regensburg area to Passau for work. I've actually already gone through all of the "larger" lunch buffets... this one offers something like what I imagine as a buffet. I'm a sea food eater and wouldn't mind a little more choice. The scampi or is it prawns or rather shrimp? I I don't know exactly, partly I would guess. The waitresses are very, very nice, the service is really very good and you feel comfortable. I'm a regular and will remain so in the new year.

When it comes to eating, I only give it 3 stars because I can't say much about it because there was a problem with the gas that day of all days and there was only limited cooking. Ie. We arrived at 5:30 p.m. and half of the dishes were already empty. It was still 1 portion which consisted of a few pieces of meat, a portion of noodles and a piece of pared fish. Unfortunately, the second portion took a long time to arrive. Which was unfortunately a problem as the table was limited in time. After more than 30 minutes we finally had something to eat again. But that doesn't mean the buffet was filled, just that the first dishes were gradually filled up. I was lucky and got a few shrimps for two portions. I enjoyed everything I ate. Conclusion: I'll just try it again another time, and maybe when the whole place isn't overcrowded.

I had dinner with a group of 17 people, everyone found their favorite delicacies. Everyone chooses their own food at the counters, and the drinks were served by a nice waitress. We all left satisfied.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal im Shangri-La und kann es echt nicht weiterempfehlen. Das Ambiente ist ok und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Allerdings war das Mittagsbuffet dort eine Katastrophe. Weder die Frühlingsrollen noch die Ente waren gut und alles wirkte eher aufgewärmt. Sogar die Nudeln waren kalt. Obwohl ich großen Hunger mitgebracht hatte, war ich schon nach einem Teller mehr als satt. Auch für ein Dessert war kein Platz mehr. Sonst schaffe ich ohne Probleme mehrere Teller. Das einzig Gute war der Tee, der wirklich lecker war. Auf Extrawünsche wurde auch freundlich eingegangen. Allerdings war der Preis für das Buffet viel zu hoch und obwohl die Bedienungen freundlich waren, hat die Qualität des Essens das Trinkgeld nicht gerechtfertigt. Direkt nach dem Essen hatte ich heftige Bauchschmerzen und Übelkeit. Ich war auch nicht der Einzige, dem es so ging. Ich werde dort auf jeden Fall nicht mehr hingehen…

Was there for lunch on Friday and was very pleasantly surprised! The food is well above average! Simply recommended. For me there was only one downside - there are no shrimps in the batter (my favorite dish) :'( UPD: on Sunday evening we also had shrimps in batter 🤤🤤 Super delicious!!!

Das Restaurant ist mittlerweile schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, an der Qualität hat sich aber nichts geändert. Wer hier findet man den typischen, an europäischen Geschmack angepassten Mix aus asiatischen Gerichten inklusive eines All-you-can-eat-Buffets.

I was just there at lunch time. Then you can eat as much as you want for a dozen or so euros per person, but you pay extra for drinks. In total, I paid about 40 euros for two people. The menu is varied, from sushi, through European classics, to Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. The decor of the pub is quite coarse, but it doesn't matter. I recommend.

Wir gehen seit Jahren in dieses Restaurant. Wir kommen aus der Gastronomie. Das Essen ist sehr reichhaltig, sehr gute Qualität, frisch zubereitet, Gemüse ist nicht verkocht, die Auswahl ist sehr reichhaltig, viele Sorten Fleisch und Fisch, der Preis ist unschlagbar da man seine Portion selbst wählen kann. Die Getränkeauswahl ist reichhaltig, gute Weine, und auch der Preis günstiger als in anderen Lokalen. Das Ambiente ist eben asiatisch, aber sauber und die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und schnell. Wer nicht gerne asiatisch mag der muss sich halt mit Deutschen Fleischgerichten zufrieden geben.

A lot of food selections. They can do grilling on requested foods that you choose from wide variety. Can also get cooked meals. Also got sushi, soup, salad etc. Definitely nice waitresses and kids friendly too.

As a transient, I hoped for more. Mainly buffet guests populate the restaurant. That's okay too. But very loud and hectic. Despite the stress, the staff were very attentive and very friendly. The food quality. Oh well. The shrimp were ok. The red curry was very good! Pulpo and mussels like chewing gum. The vegetables are too hard. I've never left so much behind...

All you can eat, the buffet is very rich and always fresh. If something runs out, it is refilled straight away. From kangaroos to sharks, there's no shortage of choice. If you can't find what you're looking for here, you can't help it. And if you would like to put together a dessert at the end, you will certainly find something here too.

Eine große Auswahl an Essen. Essen war lecker und reichlich vorhanden. Es gab auch eine große Auswahl an Soßen. Man sollte am Wochenende reservieren, da recht viel los ist.

Ganz klassisches Chinarestaurant mit optionalem Buffet oder a la carte. Klassische Gerichte von Sushi bis Ente Süss Sauer. Ente war recht gut, Süss Saure Sauce als Fertigprodukt wie überall. Preislich okay, Restaurant sauber und Service prima. Es gibt sogar einen Funktaster am Tisch um den Service zu rufen. Die Frühlingsrolle ganz ohne Garnitur etwas lieblos. Genereller Industriegebietscharakter von aussen aber super zum parken und in Laufteichweite des DEZ.

Man kriegt eine Große Auswahl an typischen asiatischen All-You-Can-Eat-Gerichten. Das Essen wird regelmäßig ausgefüllt und jeder kommt auf seine Kosten. Man wird schnell und freundlich bedient.

种族歧视，华人避雷😱😱 路过雷根斯堡来这家餐厅吃饭，刚落座服务员过来专门警告：必须要提醒你，吃剩的东西要额外付钱。天啊，国外这么久，从没有被人这么“提醒过”，无论在外国餐厅还是中餐厅。 我尽量平静地回复：规矩我懂，我们经常吃自助，但是你们会警告其他桌么？会提醒所有人吗😡服务员一时语塞，支支吾吾。我又补充道：谁让你过来讲的？这涉嫌种族歧视，请你们经理过来吧。当然，不出意料，他走后经理也没来。 饭毕结账，我们又提了这个事儿，问老板在哪儿，服务员回复“这里没有老板只有同事，服务员跟每桌都说的”。这怎么可能！我们又不是不会观察！！服务员并没有跟每桌都说，至少今天只是针对中国人，当然今天只有我们一桌中国人。正继续争辩时，服务员不耐烦地说，快点结账吧我很忙的。 总的来说，这种服务都只能给负分。我们去过很多国家的自助餐厅，从来没有服务员专门跑到桌子上来说过这个，这种浪费的行为我们本来就很在意，也不会故意浪费自助餐厅食物。对于服务失误得到投诉时服务员表现冷漠粗鲁、没有道歉、也不叫经理。非常糟糕的一次用餐体验！！！ 其它方面，菜品种类有限，有些食材不新鲜，有的菜很咸。对这家餐厅的食物和服务都很失望。

Das Essen und das Personal ist toll

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne ins Restaurant . Sehr nettes Personal , Speisen sind frisch zubereitet am Buffet und werden ständig nachgefüllt.

Tisch Reservierung für 10 Personen ist etwas schiefgelaufen da wir runde Tische bekommen haben, die wir selber zusammen geschoben haben und deswegen war die gemütliche Atmosphäre gleich vorbei. Die Bedienung auch nicht zu freundlich, aber das Essen war lecker. Das ganze könnte auch daran liegen das der Laden total voll war. Trotz allem kann ich aber weiter empfehlen.

Wir waren gestern (Samstag) hier Buffet Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Ohne Reservier geht aber nix. Kmpl mit Gästen voll. Trotzdem haben sie es geschafft das man nicht lange warten musste bei der Bestellung usw. Das Personal ist super nett und immer auf zack. Respekt. Das Essen war sowieso perfekt! Wir kommen wieder. Eine Vielreisende, die tatsächlich Schmankerl wie Froschschenkel/ Kaenguruh, va aber die sehr frische und umfangreiche Fisch-Auswahl so selten in der ganzen Welt, aber in der Herzensheimat Regensburg wiedergefunden hat. Ein Augen- und Gaumenschmaus. Ich werde es jedem weiterempfehlen- auch den Veganern. Life Cooking - großartig!

Wir haben dort den Tag nach dem Einkauf bei guten und reichlich bestückten Buffet ausklingen lassen. Nur die Fische im Aquarium fehlen noch....

Ein super Restaurant alles ist sauber und das Sushi wird vor den Kunden zubereitet dazu kommt das alles wirklich frisch aussieht was man für das Abendgeschäft in manchen solchen Restaurants nicht vorfindet Die Bedienung ist freundlich und der Preis vollkommen in Ordnung leider komme ich aus Augsburg und kann nicht öfter kommen aber das Restaurant ist eine top Empfehlung 🫵

Waren am Samstagabends zum erstenmal im Shangrila! Obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war fanden wir ein mega leckeres u reichliches Buffet vor, daß immer wieder aufgefüllt wurde! Absolut nettes u freundliches Personal! Kurz gesagt, wenn asiatisches Buffet dann definitiv Shangrila!
