Shabab's Gemüsekebab in Nürnberg

I tried the chicken and vegetable kebab at Shababs on two different days, and in two different versions. First of all: The chicken is really delicious, nicely seasoned, and juicy. Then there are the sauces, which are one of the highlights for me… truly intense in flavor, almost "brutally delicious." The vegetables were also super fresh on both visits and perfectly rounded off the whole experience. But for me, the bread made the difference. The first time, I tried the doner in traditional bread. It was good, no question, but something was missing. Tastes differ, of course, but for me, the bread just wasn't 100% right. The second time, I had the doner in a flatbread, and that was a real game-changer! Suddenly, everything was just right. For me, the flatbread is truly the best chicken doner in all of Nuremberg. It's amazing how much the right bread can change the overall impression. The price for the doner kebab is €7.50, which is absolutely fair for the quality. My only criticism: the contents could be a bit more generous. And sometimes they skimp on the sauces rather than go all out; I would have liked a few more spoonfuls. Nevertheless, I love coming back here because it's simply incredibly delicious, and the chicken doner kebab in a flatbread remains unbeatable for me.

Very tasty, but I've often avoided going to the store... when there are more than four people in line - otherwise it takes too long.

MANY THINK I'M CRAZY, BUT: By far the best kebab in Bavaria. Not just a kebab... simply top-notch with everything that goes with it... the meat is so tender, it melts in your mouth like butter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nothing special in terms of taste. There are much better alternatives in Nuremberg. The doner kebab plate is very small for 13 euros.

Delicious kebab, great value for money.

I've tried many kebabs, but this one is definitely one of the best in Nuremberg. Fresh ingredients, truly delicious sauces, and super-friendly staff. If you're craving a truly good kebab, you won't be disappointed here.

Best kebab in Nuremberg for me!!!

Unfortunately, the doner kebab was a huge disappointment! We knew about it from social media, where it's often touted as the best in Nuremberg. Unfortunately, we can't confirm that. The meat was tasty, but very dry and tough (veal). In addition, a doner kebab plate for €13 doesn't come with any bread. The service was okay, but not particularly fast or outstanding.

One of the best doner kebabs in town. The lemon on the meat gives it a special flavor, and it's not drenched in sauce. Very, very tasty, fresh, and plentiful. The staff was on the ball and quickly cleared the long line. It was my first time there, but certainly not the last. Top 👍🏻

Beef doner was always great, but they changed something in the meat which made it not as good anymore

By far the best kebab in all of Nuremberg. The staff is always friendly and listens to customer requests. The vegetable kebab in a flatbread with either chicken or veal tastes extremely good and is absolutely unbeatable value for money. The flatbread is crispy, and you can choose your own sauce (cocktail, hot cocktail, herbs, and hummus) and it pairs perfectly with the juicy meat. The grilled vegetables are the cherry on top. I've been coming here for almost a year now and will continue to do so in the future :) You just have to try to avoid the long line at lunchtime ;)

I really enjoy eating at Shababs and like to take food home after work. I always order with lots of sauce because it's incredibly delicious. The staff are extremely attentive, and the food is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend it.

I went to Shabab's Vegetable Kebab and ordered a chicken doner. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The bread was only briefly heated on the grill and was still cold. There was very little sauce, which made the doner dry and rather bland in taste. I don't quite understand why the place has so many good reviews—perhaps it's because there are no better alternatives in the area. It's a shame, I was expecting more.

It was the best döner kebab we've had abroad. It was incredibly delicious and packed with ingredients. The staff was very friendly and approachable. We highly recommend it.

Do you remember the SpongeBob episode when SpongeBob and Squidward had to deliver a Krusty Krab pizza and it took the entire episode? They were faster than Shabab. I've honestly never seen people work so slowly. I live around the corner and have been there at least 30 times. It tastes great, no question, but you can't get out of here in less than 20 minutes. One person is always standing at the cash register and watching the others work. It's become a kind of silent comedy show for me to watch. I always thought government offices and authorities worked inefficiently until I went to Shabab. Today's wait time: 25 minutes (and that's normal). I now comment on my wait time every time I've been there until something significant changes.

Despite the busyness, the staff seem completely disorganized and sometimes spend more time chatting with each other than concentrating on serving customers. Overall, the service could be significantly improved. The food I've had so far has been good.

For me, this is still the best kebab and dürüm in Nuremberg/Fürth/Erlangen. Unfortunately, the dürüm bread varies a bit. It's sometimes extremely dry and crumbly. I also think the quality has declined somewhat, and at the same time, the prices have increased. However, that's criticism at a very high level, and this is my favorite place!

Super delicious vegetable doner and durum, very well-filled, and a nice, refreshing selection with lemon and fresh salad. Everything from falafel to uruq is delicious! Sometimes during peak times, there are very long waits (30-40 minutes), but it's worth it. The staff are very friendly.

The chicken vegetable kebab was the best I've ever eaten!

I didn't know it before. I went there yesterday, May 28, 2025, on a recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and quick, and the food was delicious. The bread was crispy and the doner meat was cooked perfectly, just as it should be. The owners there are really quick, taking three orders at once. Respect! The place is also very clean. I'd be happy to come back anytime I'm in the area. Unfortunately, parking is difficult in the area, but that's not the owners' fault. Using public transportation, however, is no problem.

The shop is busy, and you can sit inside and outside. The staff is friendly. Prices are a bit high, and the chicken doner has some additives, but they're labeled. Our kebab and dürüm were delicious; you can choose from several sauces, and they come with fresh lemon juice! Highly recommended.

Whoever you ask in Nuremberg about the best Kebab in town, they will say this one. I agree ;) it is really the best, nice price, fresh and tasty. Good size as well. My go-to Döner. I recommend the chicket döner im fladen with roasted vegetables!

Very tasty food! The meat is incredibly good, the falafel is amazing, and the fries are nice and crispy - just wow! The only small disadvantage: the interior is a bit tight for seating. I hope the restaurant continues to grow because the food is really amazing!

The place caught our eye with a long line coming out of it. We went there around 5pm and got to order really quick. Neither of us spoke German and the guys were very friendly and helped us in English, they were all very kind and joyful, we really appreciated (specially here). The kebab was mind blowing delicious, best experience ever.

Dürem was rather lukewarm. Prices are too expensive for the quality. The waiting time was 20 minutes. The bread was fine and obviously fresh. Unfortunately the meat was already cold so I can't judge the taste. Cleanliness and hygiene are obviously maintained properly. Despite everything, I don't think it will be repeated.

I liked the kebab quite well. The sauce and salad were pretty good. The amount of meat was ok, I could do with a bit more meat.

Since the opening it has been consistently the best kebab here in Nuremberg and the surrounding area! Meat is great, sauces are great. I feel like I've tried all the kebab stalls here in Nuremberg and I always notice that Shababs is by far the best. The employees are also in a really good mood. Keep it up!

Both beef and Urug Dürüm with fried vegetables and salad are consistently delicious. I also really like Imambayildi. You have to wait because there is a lot of rush, especially in the evening, but the guys are quick and always friendly.

Wow! Extremely good kebab! I had two chicken vegetable kebabs and I'm not much of a vegetable type. I was extremely excited and surprised at how fresh, tasty and juicy the food was. The fries were also extremely good! Definitely recommended and happy to come again!

Very juicy meat and crusty bread

Well, the shop started off even better, for months now the kebab man has been putting in far too little meat that I can barely taste the taste of the meat (I could leave the meat out straight away) back then it was my favorite kebab in all of Bavaria and it was a must Eating there for a week and now it's time to check once a month to see if it has changed. Salad sauce and bread are still great.

I was there with my girlfriend and the food was just great, the staff were super friendly. I can definitely recommend it.

One of the best kebabs in town. But unfortunately you wait here forever. Even if there are only three customers in front of you, you can expect a wait of at least 10 minutes. Something urgently needs to be changed in the system here.

One of the best doners I’ve had in Germany and at a good price

Very good ones, unfortunately not always in durum, after 8 p.m. only in bread, or only vegan, that's not a bit wrong.

The kebab is ok, but expensive. What's not so good is the somewhat disorganized crew, four people, long waiting times despite fewer customers.

FAR too salty.I had a chicken, vegetable box..the chicken had so much salty spice on it that it could have been any meat..a big disappointment..don't understand where the great reviews come from..it was OK.

I waited in line for 20 minutes to see the owners and workers just talking and cackling as if there were no guests in line outside. Very annoying when you are hungry and have to wait in line for so long and see that you are only waiting because the owner has earned enough money and simply no longer needs to serve customers and make them happy.

The kebab and durum taste good, but nothing extraordinary. However, it's really a lot of toppings, so you'll get really full. The staff is super friendly and great attention is paid to cleanliness inside. There are still seats outside, but they are directly on the main street. The selection of food is varied and the prices are reasonable.

Food: The bread is not homemade, but it was still on point. Crispy, fluffy and holds up well without cracking or getting soggy. (7.5/10) The salad (complete) is very red cabbage-heavy, which I find to be very good. Red cabbage is also the most expensive salad ingredient. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were more in the background, but complemented the red cabbage perfectly. Unfortunately, the salad overall could have been a bit fresher. (9/10) The sauce (hot sauce) tasted very good. I had the feeling that it was a deliciously seasoned hollandaise sauce, but I could be wrong. (9/10) Now we come to the most important part. The beef skewer is a Yaprak skewer (stacked pieces of meat instead of minced meat). The meat was crispy and seasoned perfectly. This is exactly how kebab meat should taste. Unfortunately, you could find many pieces of cartilage and fat in the kebab. Personally, I still think this is better than cheap minced meat skewers, but there is still room for improvement despite the perfect taste. (7.5/10) Service: The guys are friendly, in a good mood, fast and work great. Ambience: Ordinary kebab shop with a cool concept and a strong name. Overall rating: 8.3/10

Good, tasty Dürum in a fresh, large flatbread, full of fresh ingredients. Good, tasty, cheap and filling.

Chicken was mostly raw and I threw up a few hours later. Employees were overwhelmed, so it's best to give 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible :-)

The kebab was my absolute favorite kebab in Nuremberg so far - only the old Aslan kebab with lamb was better. Unfortunately, the last two times it happened to us that there were lots of burnt pieces of meat in the kebab and that shouldn't be the case given the price. Something like this can happen once, but twice in a row and then in 3 or 4 kebabs it's not nice. That's the only drawback - otherwise great. Sauce very tasty, vegetables great, sumac and lemon awesome. Maybe we'll give the store another chance to earn a top rating again.

The Dürüm was very dry and tasteless, like chewing on paper. The flesh of both varieties was colorless and flavorless, and lacked proper seasoning. The fries weren't salted either and tasted cheap. I was really disappointed as I had only heard good things. For the price I can't recommend it. If you want to try a good kebab you have to eat at Batman in Hamburg.

Really the TOP ADDRESS for kebab in Nuremberg! Went there for the first time recently and what can I say, the second time followed within a few days. Great kebab, with a selection of sauces and a squeeze of fresh lemon - a type that you would probably expect to find in Berlin - here in Franconia!

Food itself was super good, staff was super nice, but today when I was getting a kebab I saw a gentleman who was preparing the kebab smoking in front of the door, but he went out to make the kebab without washing his hands. I think it's a shame, otherwise everything was great good
