Unfortunately, the rooms are dirty, and customers should be informed about an insect infestation beforehand, not just by a sign in the room. The rooms look great except for the creepy crawlies. And the reception desk inside McDonald's is laughable.

So we stayed there for one night because we couldn't continue our journey, and I have to say it's really comfortable for a rest stop hotel. The only downside was that the room was really cold and didn't get warm, but the blankets, even though they seemed thin, kept it nice and warm. For the price these days, it's absolutely fine for one night.

Ample parking, clean restrooms and showers, a shop, and a restaurant. It's worth stopping for a break. ALDI is a 20-minute walk away.

Clean toilets and friendly staff

A gloomy atmosphere at lunchtime; practically no one was in the restaurant. I initially thought it was closed. Bratwurst for 8 euros... wow. The goulash soup was one of the worst I've ever had: brown, salty water, the meat completely overcooked and dry, and not a trace of peppers, potatoes, or anything similar... sorry... now I understand why nobody eats here at lunchtime. The staff offered minimal communication, which unfortunately includes no greeting or farewell. Another customer had the same experience. At least the 1-euro toilets were clean.

Serways Hotel: The room was freezing cold; the heating didn't work even though it was only 5 degrees Celsius outside. Reception couldn't do anything about it. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by flies and beetles. We left after two hours, and of course, we didn't get our money back (€89). Absolutely NOT recommended!

We were initially pleased with the cleanliness, but then shocked by the infestation of insects, which only becomes apparent upon closer inspection. We're not talking about vermin, but all the forest creatures that need warm shelter from the cold. Beetles of all shapes and sizes. This could certainly be avoided with simple measures. In the end, after changing rooms, we canceled and found accommodation elsewhere. For just 8 euros more, we got a 4-star hotel only 15 minutes away. Never again Serways.

Public toilets for €1 are unfortunately dirty...

We pulled up to the charging station here. In this huge parking lot, there's only one for two cars, and it's in the most isolated part. And—even though there's a McDonald's here—it's not an EWE Go charging station. Annoying if you're counting on it. The only good thing about this remote location is that you can maneuver easily and quietly, or park however you need. But it's still a bit unnerving when you're alone. The rest stop itself: you can buy all sorts of knick-knacks here, the restrooms look okay, and the staff were all very friendly. As mentioned at the beginning: the rather poor rating is due to the charging station's location.

Very dirty restrooms. I tried to report this to a female employee. She was disinterested and unfriendly. The men's restrooms were not accessible (the toilet bowls were broken), and I was directed to the women's restrooms. I'm happy to pay €1 for clean restrooms! What a pity.

Hello, I can only say negative things... I came here at 1:18 a.m. and there was no one there. Several people came and called, but there was no sign of life. I went behind the counter and called behind, thinking something had happened... A southern man came in, the machine was being cleaned, and there was hardly anything that was advertised.

The accommodation was very clean and, despite its location, very quiet. We'd love to come back!

Not family-friendly, with no decent outlets in the seating area to warm up drinks. You're escorted to the exit, where you kneel and prepare a drink while people file in and out. Unbelievable.

Even though you're seen when you come in, the employee is "calm." I stood at the counter for eight minutes to order a coffee. The employee was alone and apparently had to restock items here and there, tidy up, and have private conversations with a coffee-drinking customer sitting at the table. There was absolutely NO activity; there was absolutely no reason to make me wait so long. The designated women's parking spaces are a total disaster. It's pitch black and doesn't give the impression of any special security or anything like that.

For me, the main thing is an exit and a place to walk, I rode a bike 15 km around the area on Sunday. Not far away 1.5 km Aldi Süd, Rewe. The landmark is the 19th century Danube-Mainz Canal, along which you can walk, and a kilometer from the parking along the canal there is a cool Biergarten, an atmospheric place, I recommend visiting! A little further in the forest you can pick blueberries! And a German saw a pike in the canal, he caught it, I will add a photo! Good work to all!

For me, half of the trip to Croatia was bad.

This is the dirtiest Sanifair restroom I've ever seen. When I pointed this out to the service staff, all I got was a nonchalant comment that no one comes to clean at night... yeah, they could probably just do a quick sweep themselves if there's not much business.

For a one-euro toilet, the condition was pretty poor. There were clean ones, but there were also a few other restrooms. Actually, that's unusual for a Thursday morning.

Normal rest stop, but many options for eating

Everything was great. But the staff is the worst. I address the staff with "Excuse me," and they reply with "what?" I think that's completely unacceptable. And then there's the look on their faces. You don't look at your customers like you're looking at a car. It's a rest stop, but the staff shouldn't just turn into a car. Absolutely terrible.

I'm used to a higher standard from Sanifair. Unfortunately, I lost my appetite afterward and drove on straight away. Under these circumstances, I didn't want to try the on-site restaurant either."

The toilet is downstairs (downstairs). You can use it for €1 per person. You'll receive a receipt to use in the shop. The women's toilet was fine and reasonably clean (automatic toilet seat cleaning). Several of the men's toilets were covered with tape.

The restrooms belong to Sanifair and are clean. There's also a McDonald's. There are plenty of trash cans and parking spaces. However, the outdoor seating is either poor or in the blazing sun. The parking lot was reasonably clean.

As of 01.07.2025 the shower is free, you only have to give 10 euros as a deposit

This rest stop doesn't deserve a star. They advertise that you can get food, but that's actually not the case. Apart from bad coffee, dry cakes, and awful-looking baguettes, there's nothing to eat unless you go to McDonald's. You really shouldn't go to this rest stop again.
