Very small, disorganized rest stop, and the restrooms didn't accept cards. So if you don't have any change, you'll have to come up with something.

A well-maintained restaurant with friendly, competent staff. A delicious breakfast. Reasonable value for money for a motorway rest stop. The restrooms were also well-maintained and clean.

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. A very unfriendly employee at the café/restaurant. We arrived in the morning with two small children and wanted to have breakfast in peace (we had brought our own food and wanted to buy drinks). The woman approached us and, in a very unfriendly tone, asked us to go outside for breakfast because we had brought our own food. It was 12 degrees outside. We refused, and then she asked to see our bags and told us we shouldn't be out so early with children if we knew we wanted to eat the food we had brought with us.

The way I was treated here was simply disgusting. The service was downright unfriendly and rude. While I understand the stressful nature of the job, she has no right to treat me so condescendingly.

Very dirty rest area, with garbage, feces, and other things lying outside on the grass verge. An unpleasant smell. We had no choice but to stay there. Otherwise, we would have moved on.

No, I didn't even get a Bockwurst there. Incidentally, there weren't any on the A7 from Hamburg to Karlsruhe! Extremely poor service.

The restrooms are a disaster! No toilet paper, no staff around. Everything is covered in socks that were used to wipe. And they charge you 1 euro for that...

Everything was closed at 9:15 PM on a Saturday evening, including restrooms and Burger King. Not according to the advertised opening hours!

Very rude staff, always seem annoyed

With a Burger King and a multi-food counter, as well as a Coffeefellows, I liked the food options there.

We were there on Friday, August 15, 2025. The women's restroom was in a terrible state. Each toilet was worse than the last. Full of urine, blood, and trash. The trash cans were so overflowing. After I spoke to an employee at Coffee Fellows, he replied, not surprised, that he or someone else would take care of it right away. I was shocked, because apparently the problem was/is already known. Otherwise, the restaurant area wasn't particularly clean either. Not a good advertisement.

Closed at 10 p.m., even though the website says it's open 24/7. No other opening hours are listed. Staff were inside. Strange.

I just read the reviews and am quite astonished that the restrooms have been dirty for months, the trash cans are obviously not emptied, etc., and nothing has been done!!! I was there today, August 15, 2025, at 8:30 PM and was terribly disgusted. I've never encountered such dirty restrooms at any rest stop. Truly disgusting!!! Never again!!! (I had to give it a star to get this post through)

The dirtiest rest stop in a long time

The rest stop was clean, but the staff, like everywhere else, wasn't what you'd expect as a paying customer. But that's the case almost everywhere, unfortunately.

By far the most unhygienic Sanifair restrooms I've ever experienced. Charging a euro for this is, in my opinion, a disgrace. The facilities were extremely dirty, and the condition suggests they hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was no soap in either area (men's or women's), only a few of the restrooms were usable, and toilet paper was only available in one. Unfortunately, the Sanifair promise was nowhere to be seen here. Very disappointing.

One star is actually too much. The restrooms are an absolute disgrace. There's shit all over them, no toilet paper in any of the stalls, and you have to pay for it.

I suspect the restrooms made more money than the restaurant. Both were hopelessly overcrowded, but I can't say which would have tasted better; the restroom was cleaner, anyway. And: Charging people to use the restroom is a disgusting business practice. I wish all Sanifair managers would break both their arms, put them in plaster, and then get an itchy rash! To respond to the answer: I would never say a bad word to the poor people who toil for starvation wages to get travelers back on their feet. I wrote exclusively about the managers who decide at their desks that the contractual obligation to provide free restrooms is being circumvented with pseudo-value vouchers, the redemption of which is tied to additional profit.

Clean toilets everything was fine

It's confusing, and unfortunately, we had the misfortune of encountering unfriendly and stressed employees. We won't stop there again.

On weekends, everything is dirty; the entire parking lot is littered. Toilets cost €1.

July 13, 2025, 2:30 p.m. The public restrooms were EXTREMELY dirty. The restroom facilities were generally dirty. The trash cans were full. One of the faucets was almost empty. One of the two soap dispensers and the paper towel dispenser were empty. At least I got my money back.

Well, €2.19 for a liter of 95, €6 for a sandwich, and €2.80 for half a liter of water... €1 for the toilet. Only one picnic table, one bench... That says it all.

Considering that you have to pay €1 for Sanifair, the toilet area was pretty littered with scraps of paper.

Restrooms were clean, and the employee double-checked to make sure we had all the paper and everything. Well done. Prices vary. A chocolate croissant for €2.79 or so is still okay. If you also go to the bathroom, you get a €1 voucher. The bistro employee was friendly and professional and helped us immediately. I wouldn't buy a latte macchiato for almost €6, though. A small cappuccino is enough. 😄

Absolutely unfriendly and bossy woman at the counter, who likes to sell "butter pretzels" without butter for the same price and only makes snarky comments when a complaint is made. Serways should either conduct some employee training or drop the Serways brand!

On the way to Lübeck, the Börde is my first rest stop for a 55-minute break. The team is always friendly. Restrooms are clean. Coffee tastes very good. Therefore, 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for the Hildesheim Börde team is well deserved. This is not a fake review. Klaus Bilz Knorr Logistics Wertheim

Enjoyed a small snack on the way home from Hamburg. The rest stop was busy, and the food arrived quickly via the terminal. It was a good place to take a short break and enjoy a quick, fortifying snack.

I went inside, there was a nice selection of things, but I only smoked one and moved on.

Overall, the restrooms were quite pleasant, and the restrooms were clean. Everything in the restaurant area was fine, with plenty of space and a good selection.

No place to buy food or drinks unless you have too much money 🤣 but that's normal on motorways... it's the same with gas.

Ms. Schrader from Burger King is a true asset to this rest stop. We received such friendly and helpful service that it truly deserves a 5-star review.

We didn't go inside the rest stop. We had a quick break and a restroom. The restroom was located outside in a toilet booth. There was a long line and a long wait. However, it was clean and OK. I think normal operations might return in the meantime.

A star for the friendly lady behind the counter. Otherwise, I have rarely seen such an expensive rest stop. The fuel prices are also beyond good and bad (from 2 - 2.30) - in emergency situations both are simply common.

It's funny that our car always reports an air pressure problem before this stop.🤣

What a rest stop should be like

A German motorway service station. Neither more nor less.

The gas station is highly recommended. The staff is great and very helpful. You can really enjoy your break there.

Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed at 7:15 p.m. on April 13, 2025. If the Burgerking colleague hadn't fetched the employee from an adjoining room, there would have been nothing at all. At least leave the kitchen open until 8 p.m. Families are often out and about, especially on Sunday evenings during the holidays.

The toilets are a disgrace, out of five toilets only one was usable! One was completely closed, one was blocked, the next had no toilet paper and the fourth didn't flush. In addition, a faucet was broken and soap only sometimes came out of a soap dispenser. Charging €1 for this is really a disgrace.

Far too few toilets: 3! All the locks on the men's cabins are broken and asking for 1 euro for it is more than cheeky!

Unfortunately we had to refuel here (traffic jam on the A7). Fuel was 25% more expensive here than in the surrounding area. The old toilets were clean and worked. The pretzels were very good and tasted good. What I didn't like was "the service".

Women's toilet paper was partly defective everywhere. Be the worst rest stop for a long time. For a 1 euro. The holiday season is just beginning

The women's toilets were a disaster. Out of five toilets, three were unusable (one was locked, one had a broken lock and yours was blocked) and so there was an endless queue. The toilets that were available for use were simply unhygienic and dirty. We were disappointed and are used to something different from Serways.

When we drive south on the A7, we usually also drive to the Hildesheimer Börde. Usually for coffee or breakfast. Unfortunately there are only 3 stars because of the very changeable staff, from it is full and they are friendly to it is empty and you are ignored and unfriendly.....
