Sendling's Spezial Kebap House in München

A very popular snack bar. Besides the "regular" doner kebab, they also offer the usual dishes (dürüm, lahmacun, etc.). It's very busy during peak hours (lunch and dinner), with the line sometimes stretching out onto the street. The kebab sandwich was very good, with a subtle citrus note that wasn't overpowering. The prices, especially for Munich, are absolutely reasonable. The staff was well-organized and friendly. There's also some seating available (both inside and outside).

Hello, I have to say, your doner kebab is actually one of the best in all of Munich, in my opinion. However, I've noticed for some time now that I get an extremely dry mouth after eating it every time. Today it was so bad that I had to drink liters of water. Something seems to have changed – either the ingredients, the spices, or the preparation. I really want to address this seriously, because it seems like my body is reacting to something unusual. It tastes great, but I was quite disappointed when I saw how little meat they put in and how sadly small the dürüm looked in my hand. It still tasted fantastic, but I was hungrier afterward than after other kebab shops. The size doesn't live up to the hype. Despite the incredibly long queue, the service was very quick, but the downside is that there's less customer interaction because the staff are all just rushing through the orders; it feels a bit industrial. I paid €10 for a veal dürüm, which made me wince, but unfortunately, that seems to be the norm these days. The place is nicely decorated, but you feel a bit cramped because it's a small shop area that's extremely crowded.

The location is very easy to reach and conveniently situated in a lively, well-connected part of Obersendling – ideal for a spontaneous visit or a break during a stroll through the city. We would especially like to highlight the fantastic service. The team is quick, attentive, and extremely proactive. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in, and orders are not only taken promptly but also served quickly and with a smile. The food is outstanding – everything not only looks fresh but tastes exactly that way. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in the preparation with every bite. The trip was absolutely worth it for us – we traveled all the way from Stuttgart because we had heard so many good things. And we weren't disappointed in the slightest. For anyone looking for a truly great kebab in Munich: A definite recommendation!

I was here yesterday, it was really good. Absolutely delicious. The meat was nice and juicy, so tasty – I haven't had such a great doner kebab in ages.

This place is a great spot for to-go food that isnt a chain American restaurant. The sandwich which seems to be one of the most popular options comes on a freshly baked pita with tons of veggies, white sauce, etc. The Durum Kebap comes as a wrap which was fantastic as well. Don't forget napkins as its a bit messy. They did have a few tables too. Line moves very quickly!

To go place basically. As a Turk I can say this is the only doner I had in Munich that is actually similar to Turkish Doner. They have beef doner option which is rare in German doner shops. Whenever I go it is super busy never seen it empty :) worth trying you will definitely go again :)

I'm from Munich and a döner fanatic, and anyone who knows me knows that Djangos is my absolute number one. Nothing else comes close. The service, the atmosphere, the meat, the sauces, the homemade bread, the pide, the baklava—almost everything is made in-house with high-quality ingredients. For me, Djangos is simply unbeatable. But! When Sendling Spezial was recommended to me, I had to try it, and I have to say, I was truly surprised. I tried the veal döner, and it was absolutely fantastic! The meat was incredibly good—no gristle, no fat, just thinly sliced ​​steak, and so juicy. The flavor was truly top-notch. The sauce was also superb. I was recommended the white garlic sauce, and it was a perfect match for the meat. The bread is also homemade and really delicious. It was packed inside, so we ate in the car. Perhaps that's why the döner seems like a "hidden gem"—because it's so popular. Next time, I'd like to eat in, and I definitely have to try the chicken version. In conclusion: After Djangos, Sendling Spezial is definitely my number two choice in Munich. I haven't had such a good veal döner in a long time. Highly recommended, especially for anyone who appreciates high-quality meat and homemade bread. (Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos.)

We freaking loved it! Me and my friends spent a week in Munich in January and as soon as we discovered this place we chose it for every evening! Everything was great! Vegan options include falafel or seitan. Unfortunately, there's no vegan sauce other than spicy. However, this isn't really necessary with a seitan dürüm, as the seitan is already coated in a sauce that makes it (almost too) juicy. It's not exceptionally tasty, but for a vegan option at a kebab shop, you can't complain :)

Excellent. The size, which some have complained about, is absolutely sufficient! A chicken döner like this for €9? In Switzerland, it would cost 25 francs.

The kebab was a bit overpriced, but it tasted very good nonetheless. However, it was far too small for €11. The service was also rather unfriendly. When I wasn't sure what I wanted on my döner and asked what sauces they had, I only received quick and annoyed answers. When the final bill came to €14 and I gave them €15, the cashier looked at me expectantly, and when I didn't leave a tip due to his disrespectful treatment, he rolled his eyes and gave me the €1 change back in 10-cent coins. Even Subway takes more time for their customers, and they don't expect tips either… (To be fair, the place was very busy at the time, but I still think it's outrageous to "punish" customers for not leaving a tip.)

What can I say... probably the best doner kebab I've ever had. At first glance, it looks unassuming, but upon closer inspection, especially of the veal spit, a connoisseur will see that this isn't just a simple doner, but a true work of art. The long queue speaks volumes. The veal is tender yet slightly crispy, not too dry, not too juicy. You can tell the bread is homemade – and made with true baker's skill. The sauces, salad, and extra herbs are all perfectly balanced. The freshly frothed ayran is heavenly. I must admit, the chicken wasn't to my liking, but after the veal doner, it didn't matter. On top of that, they work very quickly without losing sight of the individual customer. Keep it up!

Very good doner kebab. I treated myself to a veal dürüm. The meat was very tasty and juicy. They use high-quality meat, with no cartilage or anything else objectionable. I can recommend this place to everyone, and I'll be back.

Extremely overrated in my opinion. I drove 50 km to Sendling Spezial on Kistlerhofstrasse especially because of the great reviews. I queued for 20 minutes for the hype... and horas! There is no special bread like in the relevant YouTube videos. The advertised veal doner kebab is at best a beef roulade doner. Yes, the meat is handmade. And so is the soggy bread roll. Average craftsmanship... really??? This is supposed to be one of the best kebabs in Munich??? If I rate everything as it should be. - Waiting time: 20 minutes - Quality: upper mediocre. - Service: stressed-out employees with dropped jaws. The only seating is outside, the inside is full of queuing hype customers. Nope, that was nothing. Was that a kebab I would go back for again? Certainly not. Good average, yes, but in the top 3... ridiculous.

The veal is of high quality, unfortunately just a bit over-salted. Otherwise, everything is truly top-notch. The staff is also very friendly and attentive to customer requests. The spot where I officially lost my "German Döner virginity" :D Jokes aside, I didn't find this shop as amazing as the reviews claim. I had a Dürüm döner, and it was quite bland, with light sourness from one of the sauces and sauerkraut, but they are pretty generous on the meat though. One thing is undeniable - It is EXTREMELY popular by locals. You can expect a long line on the weekend, but to their credit, they handle it somewhat fast.

The döner kebab is filling and delicious. I've visited other döner kebab shops in the city center, but this one was the best and most enjoyable. Their customer service is also excellent. This will be the only döner kebab I'll visit again when I visit Munich.

Nice fresh food , specially shawarma (gyros) , flafel and some other Mediterranean food, always crowded, there limited seating, we enjoyed the halal food very much, but prices are not so cheap.

I ordered a dürüm here and shortly afterward, I experienced severe stomach cramps and gastrointestinal problems. The meat was obviously undercooked—it seemed raw in places. This simply shouldn't happen! Food that makes you sick is unacceptable. I strongly advise paying more attention to hygiene and preparation before more guests have to experience this.

Hands down the best chicken döner in Germany and Türkiye! Also the best yaprak döner I tried in Germany so far. Get the extra meat, it's definitely worth. They have a lot of options to choose from. Adana kebap, lahmacun, beef fillet steak, köfte and so on. Beware; there is probably a queue that you need to wait for 20-30 minutes in average. I don't get in any queue easily even if I'm hungry but they deserve the fame. Huge portions, reasonable prices, awesome food!

As a Munich native, I can say that this place is among the top three kebab shops in Munich. I haven't even had one this good in Berlin.

Very good food. We had a doner kebab with extra meat (chicken) and a falafel plate, excellent value for money. We were really pleasantly surprised. Update: They now offer beef, and I have to say, it was incredibly tasty and juicy. My only criticism is that it's too expensive for the price. I have to compare it to Ferhat Doner Kebab, where the bread is just perfect and the filling is also very generous. But otherwise, the doner kebab is fine 👍
