Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with the breakfast. The hot dishes, such as the eggs (menemen, etc.) and the fries, were cold and tasteless at all. We were looking forward to a good breakfast, but were very disappointed. That's a real shame and didn't meet the standard we expected. For €18 per person, that's a real shame.

I came here a few times and said it could happen every time but now it's nonsense, the meat is not cooked, the meat is not cleaned.

The restaurant is beautifully and comfortably furnished. It looks very inviting and you feel at home here. Plenty of seating is available. A breakfast and lunch buffet are offered here. The service is hospitable, orders are taken quickly, and there aren't long waits for the food to be served. We ordered: - Tavuk Sis with rice - Mixed grill for one person with rice - Homemade ayran, still water The Tavuk Sis was very good. The meat was very juicy, tasty, and well-seasoned. It's a shame there's no tzatziki on the plate. The flatbread as an appetizer was very fresh, warm, and delicious. Unfortunately, the selection on the mixed grill for one person wasn't quite as great; the price isn't justified for the selection and quantity. The lamb was a bit dry, and the meat on the plate was unfortunately not impressive, except for the chicken, which was excellent. Nevertheless, a visit here is worthwhile just for the great atmosphere and because you can sit comfortably and the service is friendly.

Adana was really salty, the bulgur was old, the smell was very strange, the meat was like minced meat. A mini salad for three people wouldn't have tasted good either. The food was not worth it. Never again.

We came from Turkey for business and we saw it by chance. The food is very good, the dessert is very good, the staff is very good, there is nothing negative about it.

Best restaurant for me personally. I go there often and it's always perfect! The ambiance/interior design is a 10/10, the service is also between an 8-9/10, and the food is also perfect! There's one small thing I miss, though, and that's the serving trays, but otherwise, it's a real 10/10!

The portions were large, but the taste wasn't great. People smoking at the entrance were blocking the door. They started clearing the table as if they were chasing us before we could even get up. I don't think I'll be back.

We went to dinner for a birthday and cut a cake. Because the edible glitter from the cake spilled all over us, they charged us an extra €40 on top of our €300 bill. Even though we tipped €30 upfront, the manager insisted on an additional €40 for cleaning. Don't accidentally break any glasses; you might be warned very rudely and asked for money. I don't recommend it at all.

We've been customers there for almost two years. Everything was fine at first, but unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly in all areas. Last Saturday, we were there with our guests from Cologne – unfortunately, we regret having invited them. 😒 We ordered Alinazik. It was unappetizing and served carelessly, like a soup, and the lamb was partially raw and bloody. We couldn't finish it. Even though we informed the waiters, we had to pay full price – and they even charged extra for the small black tea. What a shame! It seems we'll have to find a new location now, as we always go home disappointed.

I have to give it credit, the first season was not good but now it has been corrected, I like it.

By far the worst service I've experienced in a long time. Despite the restaurant being empty on a Sunday evening, we had to wait about 10 minutes outside the door before we were even allowed in. There was no bread with the meal, and only three small salads were served for nine people. The kunefe arrived after 20 minutes and was still ice cold. When we asked about it, we received only a curt "Okay." The drink service was also disappointing: All nine drinks were placed in front of the first person, and the waiter disappeared instead of handing out glasses. We asked for glasses – we didn't get any. We asked for more bread – we didn't get any. If guests have to wait outside, they should at least be able to expect good service inside. Our group is certain: We will unfortunately not be visiting this restaurant again.

This isn't what the contents of a Dürüm without(!) tomatoes should look like. And unfortunately, this is the second time.

Truly one of the best Turkish restaurants in Dortmund by far. The food (meat) is delicious, the ambiance is lovely, and the service is good. The kunefes are especially delicious for dessert. Nevertheless, the parking situation isn't great there, and you can sometimes wait 10-15 minutes for a table.

Yesterday, we went to Selçuklu Künefe in Hatay. Initially, we ordered only pita because the prices were quite high. Unfortunately, the pita was a disappointment. Normally, the pita is slightly crispy on the edges and well-baked on the bottom; however, it arrived soft, oily, and almost doughy, and the meat was flavorless. Neither salad nor appetizers came with it; we requested one later. The appetizer was brought later, without our request, so we thought it was free, but it was added to the bill. The künefe also arrived very late, so late that we just wanted to finish it instead of enjoying it. On top of all that, the bill came to €77, and when we checked later, we realized we'd been charged €8 more. Overall, the service was poor, the food was mediocre, and the price/performance ratio was definitely unbalanced. I don't recommend it. I hope the establishment takes these comments into consideration and improves.

My biggest challenge on my first trip to Germany was figuring out where and how to eat halal, reliable food. I came across Selçuklu Restaurant through reviews and hearsay. It was definitely the right place. I couldn't eat anywhere else except Selçuklu Restaurant. Despite staying at a decent hotel, I traveled miles just to enjoy the open buffet breakfast and dinner. The number one choice for a safe meat meal. A highly competitive establishment with kebabs, steak, tripe, kelle paçası, and Hatay kunefe. The most reliable address for halal meat. A beautiful venue and friendly service. Thank you, Selçuklu!

Not a hit! Some opinions from our group: Turkish pizza tastes very good. The Tavuk Sis portion is large, but the flavor isn't that great and the slices are too big. The portion of fries is too small, and there's not much choice for children. We were a large group, and some barely ate anything. Unfortunately, there was a lot left on their plates :( What a shame!

It is a 5 star restaurant for family dining in terms of atmosphere but it is a restaurant that falls short in terms of service. I ordered from the restaurant but unfortunately I was quite disturbed by the smell. The cook and waiters need to be changed completely.👍🏻👍🏻 Apart from this issue, it is expensive unfortunately.

We were there by chance and spontaneously. Since there was a wait for the à la carte menu, we were asked if we wanted to eat from the breakfast/lunch buffet. (Arrived around 1:00 p.m.). We opted for the extensive buffet and a seat in the quiet annex. The restaurant is clean. The surfaces at the buffet were wiped down frequently, so minor spoon spills were immediately undone. The staff is very friendly and quick. The food was very, very tasty! There were savory and sweet, cold and hot dishes. Refills were prompt. The meat in the display for the à la carte dishes looked fantastic and tempting! If the walk weren't so far, we would definitely come back! The price for the buffet is absolutely fair! What I would have liked would have been labeling of the dishes, ideally including allergens. But perhaps that's not even necessary for connoisseurs... Absolutely a thumbs up!

What a fiasco! Selçuklu Hatay Künefe has become a place that is definitely not preferred anymore, and should not even be passed by. This restaurant that we used to love to come to is now a complete disgrace. We ordered Adana kebab and chicken shish. The portions have become ridiculously small, there is no taste, no care. Adana kebab was not fully cooked, and the peppers were burnt like coal. Despite this poor quality and carelessness, we paid a high bill. We were literally disgraced with our money. However, the biggest scandal was about hygiene! The restaurant was full of flies. There were at least 15 flies on our table. We could not relax during the meal. A dead fly came out of the salad! It was either directly in it or one of the flies on the table fell into it and died. Hygiene is zero. This is an unacceptable situation. When we told the waiters, we got the answer “everywhere is the same, there is nothing to do”. In other words, flies are the general condition of the restaurant! It was also clearly stated that no pesticide was applied. This restaurant has either changed hands or has surrendered to a mentality that does not care about the customer. No service, no taste, no hygiene. Everything is a disaster. Serving food in this environment is clearly playing with human health. Definitely do not go! Do not throw your health and money away. It is scandalous that such a place is even open.

We waited an hour and a half for the food to arrive. The food wasn't cooked all the way through, and no server made any effort to fix the problem. This is a place whose quality and service decline with increasing popularity.

We went for the open buffet breakfast. We really enjoyed the Hatay palate. Everything was delicious, especially the pastries. The staff was attentive and friendly. The place is also stylish and comfortable. My wife got lamb chops. The service was fast, the meat was delicious. The service was plentiful. I recommend it.

We ordered kunefe for 4 people. We waited for the waiter for about 10 minutes. We waited for the kunefe for about 25 minutes. I think this waiting time is too long for such a place. There was no big crowd in the evening. Frankly, this affected my score the most. Kunefe was standard. Since I have eaten better ones, kunefe seemed average to me. I can say that the price is normal for such a place. The place is nice but the music is too loud. When you add the people's voices, it becomes a crowded noise. The waiters are insufficient and they cannot get everywhere, there is no organization among them. Everything comes either too late or out of place. The kellepaça soup we drank was not cleaned well, if you say kunefe, it was a complete DISAPPOINTMENT. The only thing we liked was the consistency of the meat and the ambience of the restaurant. We went for the first time and we did not like it at all, the price was high, the service was low.

The reviews are extremely divided for a variety of reasons, which is why I would like to share my experiences so far. I've been coming here for almost 1 1/2 years when we're in Dortmund. The location is very clean and large, i.e. even if you don't have an appointment but you can find a place in 5-10 minutes (depending on the number of people because of the size of the table). On-site parking is available. When it's busy it's a bit tricky at the beginning, but by the second visit you'll know very close alternatives. The staff is always courteous and if a meal at the table does not meet expectations, in terms of heat of the dish or consistency, it will be taken care of. I like the food from the rice to the meat and of course the künefe. I usually prefer Kavurma, Adana or chicken as the volume of the grill plate is too much for me. Pleasant ambience due to quieter melodies, but usually a very high number of guests. The prices are justified, it's not fast food and it's also Helal, which in my opinion is not always a given when eating it outside. If you like, you can pray here before/after eating, just speak to one of the staff. Make up your own mind. Tastes differ. As a guest you are in very good hands here. You wait for a sign at the door, then someone picks you up, takes you to the hall, and delivers it to someone else at the door of the hall. It's a comedy. If it were a human being and not a sign that greets me, I would say yes, it's nice, but I'm entering the bank with private security 😂 What's the point of 3 ice creams in a kunefe for 4 people? The food is cold, but the service is too hot to be eaten under fire under roasting hair. It was still boiling when it arrived and it took 15 minutes to arrive. It took 20 minutes for the fire to go down and reach a consistency that can be eaten. The portions are small and the price is high 👍

Rating: Very poor service – Disappointing experience We were six people in total and had a truly disastrous experience in this restaurant. The service was one of the biggest problems - disorganized, slow and not at all hospitable. Service: An absolute disaster The orders arrived at completely different times. The first two people have already received their food, while the last two were served a full 30 minutes later. This is completely unacceptable, especially if you want to eat together as a group. Instead of a harmonious meal, some were already sitting there while others were still waiting. The serving staff was also more than inadequate. The first waiter seemed disinterested, and the subsequent waiters (2nd and 3rd waiters) couldn't save the situation. No apology, no explanation - just poor organization. Food: Fast food level instead of restaurant quality The meal itself was a bitter disappointment. Instead of good cuisine, it was more reminiscent of a chip shop - greasy, carelessly prepared and without taste. For the price you pay here, you could have expected much more. Ambiance: The only bright spot The only plus point: the atmosphere and ambience were really nice. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for the bad experiences with service and food. Conclusion: Never again! All in all, an absolutely disappointing visit. Bad service, bad food – despite nice decor. We definitely won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend this restaurant. It's a shame, but you don't have to go through something like that.

Attention – health risk! After eating at this restaurant on Ramadan, I suffered a severe gastrointestinal infection - clearly caused by eating there. The service was also a disaster: overwhelmed service, chaotic and extremely long waiting times. An absolute no-go for me.

They don't give napkins, 3 people used one napkin, they don't give us sugar for tea, I think it's a sin, there are no wet wipes to wipe our hands, we waited for appetizers but there were no appetizers for lahmacun, so don't eat lahmacun, they don't give you tea, sugar or napkins.

Grill plate ordered, lamb chop didn't arrive which was supposed to come later. The meat was way too raw.

What is sold here as food is an imposition. Parts were raw – and by that I mean really raw, not just “not quite done”. On top of that, the order was incomplete. How can you release something like that? For that money I would have been better off eating directly at Beymen - at least you know what you're getting. Never again!

We were there for Iftar...The meat was raw and the price wasn't right. If you want to have a stress-free iftar with your family, this is the wrong place.

The worst manager I have ever seen in my life, they demand 50€ for the iftar menu, the soup they bring is 1 cold and 2 salty, let alone iftar at 18:40, but the food comes to us at 19:30, it is really disappointing, we were 5 people in total, one of them got angry and left without eating, they even demanded money for that, it is haram

The food was good, but there were several issues. The waiting times were extremely long (30+ minutes), even though we paid extra due to Ramadan and there were only six menu options available. According to the menu, we were supposed to receive dessert, but we had to wait a long time for it as well. Since we were among the last guests in the room, we were even asked if we wanted dessert, despite it already being included in the menu. Additionally, the mixed grill platter was disappointing—what was supposed to be pirzola (lamb chop) turned out to be mostly just a piece of bone, as you can see in the pictures. The service was friendly, and the food was tasty, but overall, it was slow and inattentive.

You would expect a reasonable amount for the money paid, but here we were clearly disappointed. The menu also left a lot to be desired - the selection was extremely limited. There were hardly any variations or alternatives, so we were forced to choose from a very small range of dishes. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was also not convincing. We remember the dessert as particularly negative: a cold Künefe – an absolute disaster! Even worse was the spoiled date that was served. Under no circumstances should something like this happen in a restaurant. Last but not least: Our complaints were simply ignored. Instead of responding to our criticism or offering a solution, we were laughed at and not taken seriously. Such behavior towards paying guests is absolutely unacceptable. Overall, we cannot recommend this restaurant at all and will definitely not be coming back.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a big disappointment. First of all, the food arrived significantly late, without anyone informing us or apologizing. When the food was finally served, the portions were extremely small - even though we weren't told anything about it beforehand. The date dessert was particularly shocking: moldy on the inside - something like that simply shouldn't happen! The Künefe was also a disappointment - ice cold and the taste was far below expectations. The prices were completely exorbitant for the quality and quantity of the food. We raised our complaints with the staff, but we received no help - they simply ignored our concerns. Overall a disappointing experience. For the money we definitely would have eaten better somewhere else. We definitely won't be coming back!
