Absolute recommendation and the location is unique The prices are a bit high, but……. - you get an absolute top service - the guest is important here -. - the food is well prepared and of excellent quality - mostly organic!- If we are offered so much good stuff and of high quality, we are happy to pay a little more. And when things get tight in service or in the kitchen because there's a lot going on, patience, understanding, a smile... it comes back several times. Thanks

Wir haben das Restaurant nur zufällig entdeckt da wir in einem Gewitter auf der Suche nach einem Wohnmobilstellplatz waren. Eigentlich hatten wir uns schon auf eine "Pommesbude" eingestellt doch weit gefehlt. Als wir in dem Restaurant um einen Tisch nachfragten haben wir schon die tolle Aufmachung und liebevolle und stimmige Einrichtung gesehen. Obwohl alle Tische besetzt waren konnten wir mit einer 30-minütigen Wartezeit einen Tisch bekommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und in keinster Weise aufdringlich. Die Sanitäranlage waren super gepflegt und auch ein Blick in die Küche zeigte dass hier sehr ordentlich gearbeitet wird. Das Essen war ein Genuss und man merkte dass nur gute Zutaten verwendet werden. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist somit voll o.k.

Vorab sei gesagt, dass wir nur Bewertungen schreiben, wenn etwas sehr gut oder sehr schlecht war. Letzteres trifft auf das St. Alban in Dießen zu, da Chef nebst Gattin definitiv keine Gastronomen sind, die etwa bestrebt wären, ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu machen. Ganz im Gegenteil! Stattdessen weiß man na klar alles besser, gibt sich dabei den Anstrich psychologisch erfahren und Menschenkenner zu sein, gibt dem Gast und selbstverständlich nicht sich selbst die Schuld für einen verpatzten Abend - und maßregelt doch glatt noch im Nachhinein zum Aufenthalt seine Gäste auf das Übelste (Post von der Gattin). Und selbst vor dreisten Lügen scheut man leider nicht zurück! So geschehen am 04./05. September 2024, weil wir es wagten, den dort verbrachten Abend nur mit lediglich 2 Sternen auf Google zu bewerten. Details dazu finden sich in unserer Bewertung unter C.H. mit dem Untertitel „Nur nette Gäste und unvergessliche kulinarische Erlebnisse“… da mag sich bitte ein jeder selbst sein eigenes Bild machen, ob man dieses Lokal wirklich aufsucht, oder lieber fern bleibt. Wir raten unbedingt zu letzterem, denn das muss man sich echt nicht antun! Wir selbst haben leider den Fehler gemacht, nicht vorab auf allen Plattformen über das St. Alban zu recherchieren und den guten Bewertungen auf Google vertraut 😭. Erst im Nachhinein entdeckten wir, dass es auf GoLocal und auf Tripadvisor bereits viele 1- und 2-Stern-Bewertungen gibt, die dabei, das können wir nun nach unserer eigenen Erfahrung mit diesem Lokal so sagen, voll ins Schwarze treffen, absolut auf den Punkt gebracht und dabei auch in keiner Weise überzogen sind! Wenn wir es nun nicht selbst live erlebt hätten, würden wir wohl nicht glauben, dass es in der heutigen kritischen Zeit Gastronomen wie Simon und Vanessa Pavic gibt, die offenbar Spaß daran finden, ihre Gäste nicht nur zu bevormunden und schlimmer noch, sogar auch zu maßregeln, wie man was zu sagen, zu tun, wie lange zu bleiben oder aber im St. Alban bitteschön zu essen hat. Für uns gilt daher im Fazit: Never ever again… der Ammersee bietet reichlich Alternativen direkt am See, wo der Gast dann noch König ist!

Only nice guests and unforgettable culinary experiences… ... that's what it says on the website if you want to reserve a table, which can only be done online. If you don't tick the box "just nice guests" and don't immediately agree to the point "stay time max. 2 hours", you won't be able to complete your reservation. Patronization as it's best... since yesterday we now know why only nice guests are allowed into the restaurant, because they and their boss and wife are already rude and brazen there 🤬! Unfortunately, “the unforgettable culinary experience” only applies in the opposite sense here, starting with e. Wine spritzer 0.5 liters for a whopping 10 EUR, which only tasted like water (and didn't look any different) and was then acknowledged by e. Eye rolling on the part of the waiter but it was corrected, further on to prawns and calamari from the grill, which were completely unseasoned and actually couldn't even have seen the grill (they were only souvide cooked), right up to the ratio of prawns to calamari, which was also not correct , because there were only 3 small shrimps on the St. Alban pizza. Sorry, it definitely doesn't work that way, we're used to much better things... the hype that is created here by others with almost only 5-star reviews about this supposedly great food and service, which we would also like to do ourselves on the occasion of our wedding anniversary Unfortunately, we cannot understand in any way why we wanted to treat ourselves. The crowning achievement was that, as soon as d. Main course on d. The table was suddenly surrounded by around 15-20 blowflies, two of which then fell into the spritzer, which was still half full at the time, making it inedible. The reaction of the v. The boss sent over by the waiter was smooth, with e. to crack open a long-handled ice cream spoon to remove the flies and rush away again in a pique when he was told that that probably couldn't be the solution. He couldn't help but say what one expects and that he could hardly be held responsible for the fact that there are flies in the restaurant and that some got lost in our spritzer! Of course, it's the guest's own fault and the great restaurant can't do anything about it... the bluebottles were certainly only in our area, which is why we didn't take any protective measures in advance, such as... Can or must offer a small plate or lid to cover. But hello?? (If we had known that we would later be defamed by our wife, we would have taken photos of the carafe with SCHORLE including 2x meat inlays.) After 1.5 hours, we spontaneously gave up dessert and espresso altogether because we think that you really don't have to let yourself be treated like that “as a nice guest”! In conclusion, all we can think of is the good old saying “Pride comes before a fall!”... and they have plenty of arrogance and know-it-alls there, so the fall will surely be deep one day. This very dubious experience - overall in St. Alban - or so we think, is actually something that nobody really needs! Neither on the wedding day nor at any time later. Especially since there are quite a few more points where you as a guest are literally being taken for a ride. It would have been really nice if the 5-star reviews had actually all been true... P.S. to the AW v. Restaurant: Anyone who, like you, dear wife, obviously feels the need to presumptuously make inaccurate judgments about guests and events and to make up lies is doing yourself a disgrace! Especially since you weren't even at the table for a second and were just posting hearsay 🙈🙃! Unfortunately, we already suspected that you wouldn't even now apologize for the botched stay, which would have been a normal reaction? P.P.S.: Oh well, in 3 days of opening there are already 8% only 1-star reviews... ours is 2 stars... and that doesn't give you pause => with us 1/4 of your guests in 3 days! Your deep fall is then closer than expected!

Everything top, good quality, very nice view, very friendly service. Always a great evening. The menu is well mixed, with something for everyone. From pizza, salads, truffle linguine to a piece of meat, everything is there. By the lake, very romantic!

One of our favorite restaurants - delicious food and great service!

It is beautifully located on Lake Ammersee. The dishes are very nicely prepared and also of very good quality. You have to have a lot of time and a bigger wallet than is perhaps normal for a Croatian.

The price of the pizza in the online menu differs from the price in the restaurant menu. The salad grains mentioned in the menu were missing. Service still has room for improvement when it comes to “friendliness”.

For us the best restaurant south of Munich. We have never been disappointed here. The great location by the lake, the ambience, even the smallest detail is harmonious, the great food and the great service, even if the restaurant is full to capacity. We hardly know of any restaurant where work is consistently carried out at such a high level. A thank you to the entire staff, who always make our visits a wonderful experience!

A beautiful place with a view of Lake Ammersee

We have been coming to St.Alban for a long time and really enjoy it. Unfortunately we thought about making a reservation too late this time (public holiday). Upon request, we managed to get a table a little later at lunchtime and, as always, we were able to enjoy the great food, the attentive service and the sunbathing facilities by the lake. This restaurant definitely deserves five stars.

One of my favorite restaurants on the lake. Great location. Train in front of the door. Free parking. Over and above delicious food. Fabulous pizzas. But also the small Croatian map. Or the schnitzel. Simply delicious. A bit more expensive overall. But worth the price. Staff quick, competent and very friendly. The boss is cool. Everything 1a.

Still our favorite restaurant on Lake Ammersee. The family business continues to be excellently run, the guests are looked after like guests, served personally and attentively (Vanessa is unbeatable), the food is of great quality (Scamplamari 😋) good wines, price-performance ratio is right. The location - unbeatable.

We went there for dinner and really liked the ambience. The service is attentive and drinks and food come quickly. The younger service employees (runners) in particular are very nice! Generally good atmosphere. We had a pizza and the burger there. The little sauce for the fries had already been used... that wasn't so nice of course, but it wasn't so bad! The burger and pizza were very good. The pizza is not exceptional but still delicious. I also ordered zucchini for the pizza and only a mix of vegetables was possible, which wasn't a problem for me but was difficult if I had possible allergies. We had a lovely evening and would love to come back!

Die Preisleistung würde ich in Frage stellen. Als Familie die weniger Umsatz macht, wird man auch so behandelt. Die Kellner verwechseln die Tischnummern und wussten nicht mehr was man bestellt hat. Man zahlt eindeutig für den sehr schönen Seeblick und das sehr schöne Ambiente. Alles in einem war der Service schon mal besser.

Great location right on the lake with a fantastic view. Very well-kept restaurant with beautiful palm and lemon trees. Pure Adriatic feeling with a matching menu and wine list. The entire complex is extremely well maintained and the cuisine and service leave nothing to be desired. Small jetty with some guest berths. (Register with the sailing club beforehand!) Beautiful green area with a sandy beach and crystal-clear Ammersee water. A must for every lover of Merterranean cuisine!

Location right on the lake with covered and open spaces. Food and drinks of high quality, of course at the appropriate prices. The colleagues in service are very friendly. The selection is large, I was very positively surprised by the veggie burger, so there is also a certain choice for vegetarians, there are also a few Croatian specialties on the menu and the chocolate soufflé at the end is really a little highlight. Today we celebrated my birthday and came across this great restaurant completely by chance. The Seerestaurant St. Alban, Dießen am Ammersee is a stunning venue that we will return to again and again, not only for the excellent food and drinks, but also for the fantastic surroundings, views and fantastic service. Although we didn't reserve a table in advance, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and they were very nice, polite and incredibly friendly to us. They are very attentive and listen to all your wishes and do everything for your guests so that everyone can feel comfortable. The restaurant is in a beautiful, elegant and modern environment with a closed and open terrace as well as plenty of space inside. Comfortable chairs and beautifully arranged tables allow us to fully enjoy the food and drink. The toilets are well-maintained, modern and clean and the parking lot offers additional convenience for those arriving by car. The beautiful view of the lake from the terrace offers a very special experience. And after eating, it is also possible to take a walk along the lakeshore to continue enjoying the beauty of nature. The food was heavenly delicious, we got a very generous portion and the price was perfect for the quality. There is a wide selection of food and drinks, so everyone can find something to their taste. The food was served on a tasteful and attractive plate and the service was quick and impeccable. It is possible to pay by card, which provides additional convenience for those who do not like paying in cash. We will definitely come back here and highly recommend this amazing restaurant in this beautiful location. However, it is important to note that it is worth making a reservation in advance as there were a lot of guests even on a weekday evening, and it is also worth dressing nicely and smartly as the atmosphere throughout the restaurant here is very elegant. All in all, Seerestaurant Sankt Alban is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to and we are sure we will return often in the future to enjoy the excellent service, delicious food and breathtaking, enchanting views.

I reserved a table and then received the following message: “Thank you for your reservation request. >>>> We would be very happy to welcome and host you as our guests! >>>> However, like everyone in the industry, we have a major personnel problem. Especially since the Corona pandemic, there are hardly any people who want to work in the evenings, on weekends, on public holidays, etc. That's why we are very happy to have a well-coordinated permanent staff. Everyone does their job with great dedication and joy. We are also very proud that our reviews not only praise the good food, but also the excellent service. >>>> We only work as a team and handle it the way most catering establishments now do: the service staff contributes 2% of SALES. This amount is then divided fairly among all the hard-working hands behind the scenes (bar, kitchen, scullery, pizza maker, cleaning staff). >>>> Of course, tipping is voluntary and you can't force anyone to do it. However, for groups of 6 or more people, we have a higher workload and usually higher total bills. That's why we allow ourselves to book a 10% tip package on this. >>>>If you agree, please let us know.” Anyone who would like to reserve a table in this very busy restaurant can think about whether they want to be part of the chaff or the wheat as a guest. Because that was the answer after a few emails with a family member. We decided against going to the restaurant. You should also take a look at the TripAdvisor reviews beforehand and then decide.
