Well, paying €30 for two halves, an O'baztn and a stale, not very crispy pretzel is quite steep, but that's the way it is. But given the prices, I would at least like a crisp, crispy and fresh pretzel...

It's lovely to sit here in summer and winter. The food is also passable, BUT... the constant car noise from the ring is so penetrating that we unfortunately no longer come here because we primarily want to enjoy the PEACE and quiet in the English Garden. And unfortunately they don't exist here. Without the lake house being causally to blame.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful, the food was brought quickly and the waiters tried very hard. The bitter aftertaste came at the end when a waiter complained about what he thought was too little tip. It has never happened to us before that we were insulted in this form.

Whether you're relaxing by the water with a cold beer or dining in style, Seehaus is where locals and visitors come together for that quintessential Munich experience. Old money vibe And oh, English Garden is so huge and beautiful, named as one of the largest urban parks in the world - bigger than NYC Central Park.

Service, underground. The ambience is of course very beautiful by the lake. The food is good, but the price-performance ratio is mediocre. The service was subpar, you can tell the stress of the service staff and it becomes e.g. B. rolled his eyes when asked to warm a baby's glass. That's not possible in this price range.

I would like to report on our very disappointing visit to the Seehaus today. We had reserved a table for 7 people and had already stated when making the reservation that one person needed gluten-free food. We were confirmed that this wouldn't be a problem at all and that you could get most things in gluten-free form. My son was really looking forward to duck with potato dumplings. When we pointed this out when ordering, we quickly realized that the waiter had no idea. He said the liver dumpling soup, without liver dumplings it would work... seriously... we then had roast pork, without dumplings... 2 other people had ordered and paid for duck breast, but there were 2 legs on the plate.. ....! The fish we ordered was dry and lay on an indefinable brown mush (probably chestnuts...?) Overall, we felt really ripped off and will definitely not come back and would advise everyone else not to do it! You can expect a lot more from a restaurant in this price range!

Love it - a weiß beer in English Garden

Always a great spot to visit when in Munich! The atmosphere is amazing, cant beat! The food and drinks are wonderful too! very thankful for the gluten free options! The potato with chive-cream cheese was excellent!

Self-service, food is great and the prices for this location full ok

Not particularly recommended! When we asked whether it would also be possible to eat outside, the response was unfriendly (especially since we received different answers from two waiters). It was also made clear that our decision to just order a drink first was unpleasant. We didn't ask whether we wanted to order anything else or whether everything would at least fit, etc. (especially since the restaurant was only a third full). After a long wait, our bill was printed out and thrown on the table (!), also without asking how we would like to pay or whether we would pay separately or together. In conclusion, one can only say that the prices are unjustified and the service is absolutely miserable and unfriendly. Never again!

Food was okay. A bit too salty for my taste. Staff was great! We got to sit on the patio and it felt like a scene in a movie.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary and wanted to have a special place and a special cuisine. The Terrasse at the lake is amazing, and the deer steak was very exclusive for this celebration.

The beer garden is very nice, there are different areas directly on the lake or under trees in the shade. It is also one of the few beer gardens in Munich that also has seating with backrests.

We celebrated our wedding in the pavilion at the Seehaus and were completely happy!! Everything was great. From the fantastic table decorations to the food and the service, everything was perfect. We have also received positive feedback from our guests. Many thanks to the entire Seehaus team! 😊

Definitely not recommended except for the beautiful location! Totally overpriced food, really absurd prices for very simple dishes. Is disproportionate. A potato salad that I had purchased had already been tossed because it had probably been on display for several days. After discussions there was at least a new one as a gesture of goodwill...

VERY bad food. Cold fries, no meat in the goulash, lots of BBQ sauce...yuck. Unhealthy, bad quality and expensive. There is no service, just like in other beer gardens you serve yourself. Get the cold dishes and a brezl and enjoy the setting next to the lake !

I love this place. Just grab a Maß beer (1-liter mug), a Weißbier or a Radler, some sausage, and spend hours talking to your friends, watching the beautiful lake.

Duck breast with leg...? Boquerones in Caesar Salad...? Chanterelles in the chanterelle dish hard to find...

Went there for the sunday brunch. Excellent service and food, beautiful location.

Our concierge suggested Seehaus and we were very pleased. The setting can somewhat be compared to the famous Tavern on the Green location in NYC. Beautifully set in the park, we enjoyed a great dinner for 4. When we arrived the restaurant had a private event in an area of the place but our waiter was exceptional in serving us. Lovely food, nice wine selection, overall a nice meal.

Very nice beer garden on Lake Kleinhesseloher with up to 2,500 seats. A wooden lake house, the predecessor of the current one, had existed since 1837. Today's is the fourth new building on this site. It has been there since 1985. The bar and outbuildings have been brought up to date in recent years. In summer the beer garden is always very busy and places by the water are rare. Prices rose extremely after Corona and are high today. Nevertheless, compared to e.g. B. preferable to the beer garden at the Chinese Tower.

16 euros for würstel a french fries, not even in a Michelin star restaurant! Nice atmosphere outside by the lake,I recommend to bring your own food and only buy a beer there. Insane prices for barely edible food. 10 euros for a pre-cooked würstel, 7 euros for French fries, and it’s all kiosk food…you guys serious?

In advance: The location is very good. We were in the Essen beer garden on Friday with four people. All different dishes were inedible!!! Therefore once and not again.

The fish platter for 2 people is just enough to feed one person!! Costs a whopping 125 euros!

Had dinner there for the first time today. My chanterelles tasted excellent and were beautifully presented on the plate.

The food in the restaurant was very disappointing. The bouillabaisse was monotonous and unimaginative. The baguette was very oily, it smelled rancid and tasted that way too. And the “lots of vegetables” were completely missing. The potato salad was also bland. The prices are elitist! (Aperol Sprizz for 9.50) The location on the lake is of course very beautiful. There is no recommendation, which is a shame as we have many international high-ranking guests.

A very nice, recommended beer garden with a very good organization in terms of food and drink. Beautifully located by the lake. However, you should tell the toilet attendant who is constantly on the phone that she should check on everything between calls. It was proven that nothing was cleaned in 2 hours.

Very nicely located location in the English garden with a large beer garden by the lake - large parking lot with ticket machine. We came here for a walk through the gardens, to see the lakes etc, we had food and walked all around the park which is massive is size we entered from the arrabella park area and exited close to the odenplatz area it was a nice walk on a lovely day would definitely recommend to visit here as it was worth seeing.

We once again had the breakfast buffet on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's rightly called "Big Breakfast." Because you can have a really great breakfast here. The service is fine, the food is excellent, the ambience right on Lake Kleinhesseloher is fantastic. However, all of this comes at a price. This has risen rapidly in recent years to €39 and would be appropriate for a brunch. However, that's too much for breakfast for us. The prices in the beer garden also rise to dizzying heights. Here you can probably get the most expensive beer in the whole city for €10.70. The price increases for half chicken from €10.90 to €12.90 and for Obazden from €9.50 to €11 within a year are simply outrageous.

Was here with my family when they were visiting Munich and I can only recommend a visit to seehaus, a very special place with friendly staff and good food (P/L is very fair).

The dishes (Cesar salad/roast roast with dark beer sauce, coleslaw and two types of dumplings) were very tasty and also sufficient for those who eat a lot. Great atmosphere, really a very nice shop with a great view of the lake. The adjacent tables from the, I would say garden buffet, could possibly have a disturbing effect on some guests if there are a large number of guests there. The service could have been a little more present, we had to wait a few minutes before we were served. But they were very friendly and not at all intrusive. The prices are absolutely appropriate for the service provided. Nobody will probably complain, given the location and the quality of the food. When I'm in the English Garden, I eat there!

The atmosphere is relaxed elegant with white tablecloths. Nice manageable wine list. Our service was top, very attentive with refills and explanation of the food. Prices are high, just on the threshold of being worth its price.

We have been to this beer garden regularly so far. The ambience is very nice and invites you to linger, but the price-performance ratio is subpar. The quality of the food is poor and also outrageously expensive. For the past few years I've found it appropriate, but last weekend we were proven wrong. Not recommended to go out to eat.

We celebrated our wedding here with almost 50 people in the banquet hall. Everything was very beautifully decorated, we also had the florist from Seehaus who made us really beautiful flowers. The service was friendly and courteous, everything was thought of and we were very satisfied. The food came on time and everyone enjoyed it very much. The next day I looked at the invoice and noticed some items that were not agreed upon. For your information, we had agreed on an aperitif menu with the banquet manager in advance. If anyone wanted something different, we had agreed that we would like to be informed in advance. We weren't, the service manager then claimed that my wife and I had approved the drinks, and he was then believed more than us. It wasn't about the money either, we just didn't want hard alcohol to be served in the early afternoon and still be served. There were 30 martinis on the bill, but they were then simply compared to beer because they are about the same price. The operations manager was really very unfriendly in the subsequent conversations and showed no insight whatsoever. It's a real shame, otherwise it was a really nice day. I can especially recommend the florist Ms. Obermeier and the master confectioner Mr. Hachmeister. Both of them really did a perfect job. My wife then sent a very detailed email with feedback, most of which was very positive and we thanked her again, but also expressed our criticism of what came from this unfortunately no more feedback. Conclusion: would I recommend the Seehaus as a location? Yes definitely. As a tip, I would really recommend putting everything in writing so that something like this doesn't happen here, as such a beautiful atmosphere is not often found in Munich.

We weren't in the beer garden next door but in the restaurant. Of course, higher-end cuisine is the order of the day here for higher prices, but the service, the ambience and the food were excellent here. We'd love to come back.

A snack is a must when visiting Munich. We bought these here. Unfortunately the price is completely excessive and does not justify the quality and quantity. The pretzels were already hard, the sausage on the plate looked like it came from a discount store. All in all a nice atmosphere, but eating there is expensive and not tasty in my opinion. No further visit is required from us

It's a pretty place. It's dapper and elegant. The charm is partially in the cleanliness and architecture. The food grade is higher than one might expect next to a duck pond. The people enjoying are in a state of happy celebration. A family treat.
