Seehaus Langenfeld in Langenfeld (Rhld.)

We had the Margarita, bread with 3 dips (starter), Seehaus salad, spare ribs. The side dish was Seehaus salad and fries, Thai curry, the filled dumplings (I unfortunately forgot the name), and a Pizza Diavolo (not visible in the picture). We were all satisfied, but the ribs—I'm advertising them everywhere because I've never eaten anything like them—were absolutely delicious. They fell off the bone and fell apart. It was a dream. The other dishes were also highly recommended, except for... the bread with the dips. There was one with basil and one with olives, which weren't to the liking of any of the four people at the table. The aioli went perfectly with the pizza crust. The bread (small rolls) were extremely crumbly. A few more baguette slices would have been more suitable for spreading the dips. The Margarita was good, crispy, and not too thick. Seehaus salad is very tasty and really goes down well. Always! The main course was the rest, and I dare say that the ribs were truly outstanding in terms of flavor! You could see and taste the 15-hour cooking time; they simply fell apart and you didn't even need to use a knife. The others were also very satisfied with their dishes. For drinks, we had the homemade lemonade, but I wouldn't order the one with basil again; it was too watery for me. Service was nice, friendly, and quick. We were out of serving utensils, cutlery, and salt, but after a note, it was brought right back. The dishes were also well presented (I had a question about the ribs, how many grams they were, and the answer was, "They come from beef and aren't the small ones like in other restaurants, but the large ones (prime rib)"), which was enough for me personally. Garlic and spicy were also available upon request. The spicy was a bit too sour for my taste. Vinegar? A chopped chili with oil would suffice. The view and the ambiance are, of course, magnificent! We'll be back. Thank you. The price/performance ratio was good. also.

Crazy... closed for an hour because the restaurant was being cleared away! Unfriendly to visitors! They could write something like that on their website these days... they'll have delicious food somewhere else!

It wasn't the first time, but it will probably be the last... The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The menu isn't extensive, but there's something for everyone. The food was tasty. The lunch specials are good value for money. The service could be improved. They're not really interested in their customers. On Sundays, in the sweltering heat, they leave customers standing in front of the closed door at lunchtime from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., even though there are hardly any customers. The reason given is that the breakfast buffet needs to be cleared. Unfortunately, the website doesn't mention this break. You can do it that way, but then you'll just have fewer customers.

Since we eat there often, some variety would be nice. But otherwise, we're happy with the taste and quality. The view of the waterski facility is simply enjoyable.

Since I'm on a gluten-free diet, this restaurant is fantastic. They have various gluten-free options and even gluten-free beer 🍺. And you sit by the water.

Went here today for breakfast with the family. Great buffet, lots of selection, and friendly staff who always make sure everything's okay. Afterwards, we sat outside and watched the water with a cold drink! A truly beautiful spot; we'll be back again ☺️

The location over looking the lake is nice. Apart from nice view, the restaurant had very little else to offer. That staff were unfriendly, unpleasant and rude. Maybe the heatwave had gotten to the lady that served us ? The food. We ordered Seehaus Salat, LA Burger and a Beef Bomb Burger. 16,99€ for a served up cold beef burger. Bread wasn’t fresh. Salat wasn’t fresh. Tasted like plastic. Will not be eating here again. Not even worth 1 star out of 5 !!!

What I have to say is that the location is great, as is the view of the lake. However, my Linguini Aglio Olio e Peperoncino was actually just garlic pasta, but there was enough of it that I didn't have to worry about vampires. A little advice: less can be more, and it's a shame when you can't taste the chili at all. That can happen, but when you want to pay, say it three times, and wait 35 minutes, and the waiter then prefers to chat with his colleagues at the counter, you just feel like you're not being appreciated as a guest. And I have to say, no matter how beautiful the view is, I'd unfortunately be better off going somewhere else...

Beautiful but waitress wants to tip herself and service very bad

We were looking forward to a relaxing visit to the restaurant at the waterskiing Langfeld, but were disappointed in several respects. First, we had to pay an entrance fee, even though we had a reservation and were only there to eat. Other guests later informed us that there is actually no entrance fee for restaurant visitors – clear and customer-friendly communication at the entrance would have been very helpful in this regard. In addition, as a larger group, we had made advance reservations and placed a group order (almost exclusively pizza). In the end, however, we were charged a 5% surcharge on all dishes – according to the waiter, this was due to the "greater effort." This justification is difficult to understand, especially considering that pre-ordering should normally reduce the effort. Another annoyance was the parking situation: Monday to Friday, the parking fee is €5, but we had to pay €8 – supposedly due to particularly high demand. Raising prices spontaneously and without clear communication seems arbitrary and is at least legally questionable. One positive thing to mention, however, is that the service staff in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. The interaction there was much more pleasant than in the entrance area.

The service is very friendly, but very poorly organized. It felt like there were 10 waiters behind the counter, but hardly any staff at our table. When they did come within range to place an order, they weren't there. The food was okay, but poor value for money. Even Parmesan cheese for pasta costs an extra €2—although the prices per dish aren't cheap. The ambiance is very nice. Conclusion: Next time, it's better to cook a delicious meal at home and then head to the beach bar for drinks.

A nice selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. The vegan dishes were inventive and delicious. Beautiful location, especially in summer. You have a great view of the waterski track while still sitting in the shade. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would love to come back!

Super friendly service, from the seating to the table service. Above all, the balance between vegan and meat dishes is perfect. The menu selection is very contemporary. The ambiance is also impeccable. The food is simply delicious.

Man sitzt draußen sehr schön mit Blick auf die Wasserskianlage. Die Burger waren sehr lecker, das Billigbrötchen passte allerdings nicht. Leider verschwand auch das vegetarische Pattie darin. Es war sehr lecker aus Roter Beete, aber eben sehr klein. Pommes müssen extra bestellt/bezahlt werden. Das sind unverschämte Preise, auch für Getränke. Für jeweils einen Softdrink, 2 Burger und einmal Süßkartoffeln haben wir 50€ gezahlt.

We were here for the wakeup camp over Pentecost. The pizza and burgers were absolutely delicious! The service was super friendly and promptly fulfilled all our requests. The food was always served super quickly. We have nothing to complain about, and would gladly go back.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good at all. The salad was bad/rotten, and we had to return it. Nothing about the bowl tasted good either—I wonder if whoever made it has ever had a good bowl and knows how to prepare it. Roasted nuts, good sticky rice, good dressing... The Thai dish was also really disgusting; it tasted like it was drowned in Maggi sauce—and you don't need much to make a good red Thai curry, just coconut milk and red curry paste. If Asian dishes like this are offered, then they should be able to make them! The service was practically nonexistent; we had to wait forever for everything; they were very inattentive. It's a shame there isn't a better restaurant at Wasserski; the location is so beautiful. But after five bad meals, we won't be coming back.

I am totally thrilled: both the food and the service were first class. The beautiful ambience and the view of the water ski facility do the rest. The food impresses with its special kick. The bowl was super tasty and well seasoned, and the asparagus risotto from the daily menu was also great. The service had everything under control and impressed with its overview and friendliness, even though it was very busy for a normal Monday. I'm thrilled!

The breakfast buffet is basically a joke for the horrendous price. That doesn't make the view any better. We were there at 10 a.m. and there was already no normal bread left. It wasn't refilled either. That's how it went with almost everything. We didn't see any fruit at all, apart from a few pieces of pineapple and something in a glass. We had older vouchers with us that were rigorously rejected when paying. There was no expiration date on the vouchers. There are always reasons why you may not be able to redeem vouchers. Accommodation in some way would have been nice. That's not how you treat customers. The vouchers for the breakfast buffet were over 17.50 euros. In hindsight, it actually wasn't worth it anymore. Too bad.

Always worth a visit from A to Z everything is great

The best thing first: The location is really cool at any time of the year and hard to beat when the weather is nice. The food is delicious and there is a special burger and a vegetarian meal every month. You can also eat gluten-free here. In any case, we were always satisfied and we enjoyed it. Unfortunately you have to be really lucky when it comes to service. Yesterday, not only we, but three young people discovered that the friendliness and attentiveness of the service was purely a coincidence. Although a waitress kept walking past us, it was hardly possible to place an order for another drink. Despite the nice weather, the lake house was not overcrowded and there were plenty of service staff. The young people were twice expelled from the table at which they had sat down. When we left we offered them our table but that wasn't allowed either. Since you can't make a reservation outside and no one was waiting for a table, this is difficult to understand. It's a shame - but there are 2 points deducted for the repeated negative experience with the service. The last time our sister-in-law asked Loriot, "Waiter, can I bring you something?" We waited for breakfast for a full 20 minutes for a waitress who felt responsible for our table.

A good address for gluten intolerant people.

I can recommend burgers and the other dishes also sound promising. The service was good, but at the end after we paid by card and didn't leave a tip, the lady was a bit neutral, which was different at the beginning. Maybe I did something else wrong? Priced in the middle segment and when the weather is nice it's certainly nice to sit outside by the lake and watch the water skiing.

The breakfast buffet was ok but not as outstanding as the hefty price! As of 11:30 a.m. the desserts were sold out and were not refilled even when asked. Answer: You avoid leftovers... In general, something was always out of stock. The service staff had to be specifically intercepted.... At the end, when paying by card, a mandatory tip surcharge of 5% or 15% was added. Conclusion: You can have breakfast cheaper and better elsewhere...

The food is consistently good to very good, the weekly specials in particular stand out. The special burgers are often excellent and also very generously portioned. The salad is particularly delicious and the dressing is really exceptional. The Philly Cheesesteak is also of excellent quality, although a little too spicy for my taste. A clearer marking on the map would be desirable here. However, there are fluctuations in the quality of some dishes: if you e.g. For example, if you choose prawns as a topping for a salad, they are sometimes excellently crispy and fried, but occasionally they are colorless and watery, as if they were boiled rather than fried. Another problem is the service. While some of the employees are friendly, there is one service person who is often present and repeatedly seems inattentive and unfriendly. Often you are not greeted when you enter the restaurant and you stand there for a long time until someone even takes care of you - even if only a few tables are occupied. The process of ordering can also take an unnecessary long time. It's a shame, because the dishes always come quickly and the atmosphere is generally inviting.

Just on the way to the square I was very positively surprised by the flair and ambience. The food was great! Only my grandma makes better brocolli. Thanks for the great evening!

Wir sind echt richtig enttäuscht, wir hatten einen richtig teuren Abend und das Essen war wirklich nicht gut .. Drinks waren echt gut (moscow mule) ..

In November 2024 I DJed at an event there. The room is highly recommended for celebrations, whether for a chic wedding or for a birthday or company event. Very chic, modern, and an amazing view. The food was delicious, the staff is on point and very friendly.

The Seehaus restaurant impressed me with its cozy atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The menu offers a very tasty selection of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. The hamburgers and the mango spritzer were particularly enjoyable. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. A highlight is the beautiful terrace with a view of the lake, perfect for relaxing summer evenings. The price of the restaurant is in the upscale range, but the quality justifies the cost. I'll definitely be back!

The Seehaus is a very nice restaurant. The atmosphere is very chill and calming, the music is very nice as well, not rough at all. The staff is polite and they make sure that everything is fine with the order and your stay. The food is very delicious, I recommend the L.A burger with extra cheese and fries. The view on the lake is very lovely as you can also watch people surfing and doing their water activities. I would come again once I'm in the area again. 👍🏼

I can absolutely recommend the Seehaus. My daughter was invited to a children's birthday party at the water ski facility. The lake house is located slightly higher up next to the main water ski lift. The backdrop with the sunset, the water, the nature around and the subtle and cozy lighting in the lake house was perfect to end the day. I also found it impressive to see the tricks on the track. I was thrilled with the menu, lots of healthy and homemade offerings, in addition to pasta or burgers 👍 The service was extremely friendly and totally helpful and also knowledgeable about the contents of the food - this was great when it comes to allergies. It is therefore worthwhile even if you are not an active water sports enthusiast to settle here. I'd love to come back 😊 Based on the note from the Seehaus: That's right, here is a picture from October 2023 - the sky is illuminated by the sun and you can't see it yourself - still super nice 😊, I didn't eat at the Seehaus last year, it's my own fault 😉.. . I would like to try the breakfast with sunrise this weekend, it definitely sounds promising 👍

Tips: - You won't be able to get in without a reservation in advance - the restaurant is now part of the water ski facility, i.e. from a minimum consumption of €10 per person. you can go from the restaurant to the lake without additional entry (usually you pay significantly more for the meal anyway); so overall we think this is pretty fair. The food fits into the overall concept, i.e. a small selection of dishes that suit summer temperatures with a small selection of children's dishes :-) Service is great, ambience is great - you can sit here on a terrace (or inside) right near the lake/start of the large water ski facility - prices are absolutely okay these days, and the food selection is just as sufficient and appropriate. We have been there several times in the summer over the last 5 years and will happily eat there again in the future; great for summer days with a high relaxation factor. If you have time later and have looked at the water ski facilities/lake or been to the great shop for swimwear/wakeboards, you should definitely take the children to neighboring Monheim am Rhein (water playground!).

We were there with a total of 8 people. We had reserved in advance. Even though the restaurant was not busy, the waiters were completely overwhelmed. While a waitress was still doing her best, an older waiter with dyed hair was quite rude to the guests. The food was mediocre. The price-performance ratio was not right. We wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

At €19.80 it was by far the most expensive and worst pizza any of us have ever eaten. Even after sending it back twice, the pizza only came to the table lukewarm and with raw ingredients! Instead of being accommodating, the service became unfriendly and pointed out the language barriers of the employees.

Very tasty, fresh food. Meat was fried to perfection for the burger and cooked well for the ribs. Dessert also delicious. Great homemade drinks. Ambiance very nice. Nice staff.

Rating: 1 star I was at this restaurant recently and all I can say is that it was a disastrous experience. First of all, we had to wait an incredible 30 minutes before we were assigned a table - even though the restaurant was almost empty. It was absolutely incomprehensible why we had to wait so long when there were numerous tables available inside. When we finally sat down, things didn't get any better. We sat around for another 15 minutes without a waiter showing up. Multiple waves were completely ignored. It was like we were invisible. The waiters didn't even bother to raise their heads or glance at us. Overall, the service was subpar and the wait was an absolute disgrace. It was definitely our first and last visit to this restaurant. I would give 0 stars if I could. I really can't recommend it to anyone who values ​​good service.

The menu wasn't even handed over to order. There was just a gentleman like Rumpelstielchen running around trying to take orders with his iPad. The order man! I had to wait 8 minutes for an Erdinger, but it had already been at the counter for 5 minutes, so I got it without a flower. Ok, it's just fast food, you shouldn't expect too much.

Delicious food at good prices in a nice atmosphere right next to wakeboard track 1. In addition to bowls, pasta, pizza and burgers, there are also salads and steaks. Numerous side dishes round off the menu. There is an extensive drinks menu. The quality of the food is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. During peak times you should make a reservation or bring some time with you as the response seems to be pretty good. You can sit inside and outside and have a beautiful view of track 1. A perfect end to a long day of sports on the water.

Eating something by the lake when the weather is nice, who doesn't love that? Unfortunately it was difficult in theory because our waitress, a nice young woman, was hopelessly overwhelmed by her job. Ordering a second, third, fourth drink proved to be a challenge for us guests. The lady who only seemed to be responsible for the order, others were carrying the trays, managed to be at the next table 5 times without even looking in our direction to see if we had another request. Well, that can happen, none of us fell from heaven as masters. So when we told a colleague that we weren't being served, she told me that I just had to be more conspicuous 😂 I pointed out (still smiling) that nobody in the entire restaurant would really want ME to be more conspicuous. (you don't want to experience that), which was met with an uncomprehending look. “Instructing” guests, even I get annoyed. Even after our colleague pointed this out to our waitress, the catastrophic service continued and we continued to be ignored. When paying (cash), the young waitress seriously asked me if I would get anything back on the note that was handed to her. She actually seemed to expect a tip, which I'm usually happy to give since I come from the restaurant industry myself and know how hard the service job is. If I tip €0.00, people must really, really annoy me. The food was average, but I didn't have any special expectations. The ambience, well... but the view of the lake is really nice! If you don't want to spend any money and still want to chill out by the water for several hours with a single drink, I can really recommend the Seehaus as an insider tip for those on a budget.

Service -> catastrophe, unfriendly and not solution-oriented. Were sat at a table with other people. Food -> expensive & no diverse offering Ambiance -> the entrance fee for €6 to the area until 8 p.m. just to sit at the beach bar is absolutely excessive.

Gemütliche Ambiente mit freundlicher Bedienung. Die Preise sind generell angemessen. Wir hatten 10 Hauptessen bestellt. Hatten gute aber auch schlechtere Erfahrungen. Steak war relativ zäh, der Lachs viel zu salzig (angeblich immer sehr salzig da gebeizt?), die Burger waren gut und das Thai Curry wiederum nicht.

Unfortunately I can't leave a good review here now. I have been a regular customer for many, many years. I come almost every day during the week with my son and at weekends with my husband and in-laws. Unfortunately, I contracted salmonella there last year and again this year. This time my husband and in-laws did too. My son had to have his stomach pumped twice in the hospital when he was two and three years old. “LIFE-THREATENING”. Now I thought I needed proof. Okay, I go back to the store and wait until someone orders the same sandwich as me. Luckily I came forward twice so I could take photos. From the other customer the food looked great with cheese melted like it should be. Mine, the cheese wasn't melted, like a mushy piece with dirt on it, black burnt crumbs. And it looked very disgusting and dirty and I ordered it twice so I could take photos. Question what happened here? Either it was made in a burnt pan or it was on the dirty floor. “EXTRA”??? And if you look at the comments, it probably happens quite often. In addition, for the past two or three years, waiters have treated you as if you were stealing something. What is the “CARD”??? Unfortunately I had to get rid of it now. A small child must suffer from this and I no longer understand this behavior. What is happening there???? We are of course very disappointed…….

Nice restaurant right at the Langenfeld water ski facility. The decor is rather minimalist, but not at all uncomfortable, and has a nice surfer/watersports vibe. The service is nice and fast, but unfortunately usually quite short. The menu is varied and doesn't seem to want to commit to any one style. All the dishes are delicious and recommended, but none really stand out.

The beetroot burger was surprising and very good. Nice atmosphere at the facility. With wind protection on the outside seats and radiant heaters installed in the lighting. Very friendly and funny service.

It was an unforgettable event in such a unique location. From the start, I was treated warmly and professionally by your team, which made the atmosphere incredibly pleasant. The opportunity to work in such an unconventional and exciting place like the Seehaus was simply fascinating. We actually always like to go here for brunch on the weekend. The food selection for breakfast is decent. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the view of the lake is beautiful. Afterwards you can go for a walk to the beach or around the lake. But we were annoyed on our last visit. When the waitress told us that we would have to pay the full brunch price (19 euros) for our seven-year-old son, we didn't believe it at first. The price isn't exactly low for an adult, but for children... Charging the full price is an outrage. Especially since the seven-year-old doesn't even eat half a plate. In other restaurants you pay either half or at least significantly less for children. We will therefore no longer go to the Seehaus for brunch, but rather go to Nirvana in Langenfeld. It's very tasty and, with at least as large a selection, cheaper at 15.90 euros; for children up to nine years old it costs 8.90.

Yes, most people eat burgers here! But they are also really tasty. But you should actually try the other dishes too because the chef really has something to offer. Be sure to try the calamari as a starter, then you'll immediately know what I mean. So there were 6 of us there, everyone very satisfied. Attentive, nice service, rustic atmosphere and fair prices, especially when you put the quality in relation. See you next time!

Particularly delicious calamari

Very nice restaurant right at the water ski facility in Langenfeld. We were there for breakfast and the selection and quality of the buffet was very good. There was also juice and even sparkling wine. And that for €19. There is also the great view of the water ski facility. That wasn't the last time we were there.
