SECRETO tapas & vino in Düsseldorf

Wonderful tapas bar with great wines and first class service - Jimi at the bar is just great. Happy to come back!

As a Spaniard, this restaurant is different (for the better) from what we Spaniards are used to finding in Spanish restaurants outside of Spain. Obviously more expensive than if you were in Spain but not exorbitant either. The portions are adequate. We ordered 4 dishes and a dessert for two people and we were good.

The food was great. Good variety on the menu. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cosy.

The only reason I deducted a star from the ambience was because it was quite loud and I'm having problems with it now. Otherwise a very cozy restaurant that was full to the last seat. There were four of us and we all loved the food and wine. Gladly again!

Small tapas restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly and shown our seats. The rest of the evening the staff were constantly attentive and we and everyone else were served very quickly. The food was very good. You could taste that most of it was freshly prepared. The chefs kept coming with fresh ingredients from the warehouse. My wife and I would eat here again and again. Thanks for a nice one. Evening.

The restaurant impresses with a beautiful atmosphere and a very appealing ambience. The service was excellent – ​​attentive and friendly. We were particularly impressed by the wine, it was excellent. The food was also really very good and authentic. I only found the prices for the tapas to be a bit high, but overall a great experience!

A new tapas place in town. So the four of us and the dog went to test it. We made reservations online, which is probably not necessary during the week when there is no trade fair. On the weekend you should definitely reserve well in advance. We received a friendly welcome and the space was good. We tested the mixed starters and ordered paella and various tapas. It was all very tasty. The dessert was also convincing. The wine selection was also good. What we noticed is that Sangria is only available by the glass and not in a carafe. The young man who served us was extremely friendly and quick. The decor is dark modern, not traditional.

A very cozy restaurant with a beautiful interior. The cocktails and food are delicious. Thanks to the waitress Sasha for the recommendation on desserts and more :) we were very pleased. We will definitely come again and recommend to friends!

In July 2024 we met with a few colleagues at Secreto. Since the location is cozy, we have reserved seats and tables in advance. We are enthusiastic about the location itself, about the diverse menu, the fantastic and friendly service, and the relaxed, humorous nature of the employees. The dishes we ordered were very well prepared and brought to our tables warm. The drinks were also brought directly after ordering. All the dishes were very tasty and no one went home with an empty stomach. Highly recommended are the mushrooms with garlic, the fried potatoes in a spicy sauce and the alioli dip with bread or Jamón de cebo Ibérico. Another advantage is the parking garage, which is right around the corner. If you want to get to know Spanish cuisine or already know it, Secreto is the perfect place for you.

We have been visiting Düsseldorf and it has been incredible to find a delicious dish as special as Secreto & Tapas! A place where you can enjoy the best Spanish food but with your own touch. Everything was delicious, even better than in many places in our own country. The croquettes are from another world... Also highlight the service, very professional and at the same time close. Without a doubt, a 100% recommended place to feel the flavors of our land!!

The waiter is very personable. The cards were handed out very quickly and we quickly received our wine and bread with aioli. Unfortunately the bread wasn't 100% fresh. The aioli and wine were delicious. Shortly afterwards the Manchego and the papas arugadas were brought to us. The Manchego was delicious. Unfortunately, the Papas arugadas never saw salt in their short lives and the Mojo Verde was well - not authentic and not inspiring either. I have eaten papas arugadas many times abroad and would like to say that I can rate them. We continued with the paella mixa. Don't know what happened there. So mainly it was rice with oil - a lot of oil - a lot and I mean a lot of oil. There were 4 really dead cooked (the meat is crumbled) shrimp and a whopping 4 mussels - please what?! There was very little chicken, but what I found was tasty. For once, not oil either. My partner and I, and here too I claim that I can rate this, actually have no problem with oil in our food. Not even with a lot of oil. But I estimate that 150-200ml of oil was incorporated into the paella. The waiter kindly offered us another digestive at the end. I guess we won't be dining here again. Maybe the restaurant is excellent when it comes to meat, but I don't want to rate that this time.

The best tapas place in Düsseldorf! We were a group of friends and everything was spectacular, food with a lot of flavor and unbeatable service. Highlight the ham croquettes and black rice. Great attention to detail and quality of products

Beautiful tapas location, modernly furnished, with seating inside and outside. Friendly, competent and attentive service. Delicious wines, the food lacks a bit of sophistication and a bit of temperature in one place or another. The Croquetas con Iberico were awesome, the champinones al ajllo were good, as was the spinach. The pulp had too little roasted flavor and was far too firm. The paella negra was tasty but lacked spice and acidity. And there wasn't enough fish in the paella.

We tried this place based on our Spanish friends’ recommendation and we absolutely loved it! Everything we tried was super delicious. I can especially recommend jamón de iberico and pulpo a la gallega. Service was also great, staff was extremely friendly and flexible with changing our reservation. We’ll definitely visit again!

The taste is very good, but the paella is not a real paella - more of a risotto.

The four of us were at the secreto for the first time! The tapas were neither authentic nor tasty, the papas arugadas with mojoverde were an imposition. The paella mixta was a disaster in oil.

The ambience is nice, but unfortunately that's about it. The food was well prepared, but unfortunately the taste was simply not good. The service was almost intrusive. A pity!

A place you want to return to, the food is getting better and better. You walk in there and it's like you're eating in Spain. I couldn't say a favorite dish as they were all exceptional. Without a doubt 100% recommended if you pass through Düsseldorf.

Service good, but not perfect. Portions too small for the price. The baked baguette with aioli and the piemento portions were particularly overpriced.

We were welcomed warmly and very personally by the service staff. The interior of the store is really pretty. You can also sit outside in a nice, quiet location. The food is really, really good and the price is completely reasonable! The staff provided good advice and were always at the table quickly. We had a very great evening!

Been here twice and both times were great. For a tapas place of course you can't expect huge servings. So be ready to spend a little more on ordering small plates. Paella was also good, not the best that I have tried since it could use more toppings but the place and the service makes up for it. I would still come back. My favorite was the squid black ink tapas, the chicken croquettes, and the combination paella.

As a Spaniard, I finally found a real and good Spanish restaurant.

We were here with a larger group during the week and had reserved in advance by telephone. The atmosphere is really nice and you sit comfortably. The service was friendly and quick. The food was fresh and delicious. I found it ideal for a social evening. Very convenient that there is a parking garage next door.

Very modern tapas bar. Service good. Food great. But the atmosphere didn't feel Spanish. It made up for it in terms of taste.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen zum Mittagessen dort. Wir hatten div. Tapas und eine Gemüse-Paella, was alles sehr gut und reichlich war. Hervorzuheben ist die servierte Aioli. Einfach ein Genuss. Das Ambiente und der Service sind ebenfalls hervorzuheben. Diese Tapas-Restaurant können wir nur weiter empfehlen. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

I loved it, I had never found tapas like this in Germany. With the most common options such as bravas, croquettes and calamari but some surprises such as coca or trinxat. Everything was delicious and cooked just the right way. The place is super cozy and the waitress was super friendly at all times. The best option in the city to eat 100% authentic and quality Spanish.

Wir waren gestern mit 6 Personen dort. Ich saß quasi mit meinem Stuhl am Eingang. Ich bekam immer wenn die Türe aufging, und das war sehr oft der Fall, einen sehr kalten Windzug. Eine Erkältung ist mir sicher. Später war es voller und die Bedienung dauert viel länger.

The ambience is cozy but still a bit more upscale in style. Accordingly, the price level is also slightly higher. The tapas here are authentic and delicious. Each dish is carefully prepared and reflects the diversity of Spanish cuisine. From the classic Patatas Bravas to Albondigas, Boquerones Fritos (which could have been a little crispier for our taste) and Pimientos de Pardon to Pollo al ajillo and Croquetas de pollo, we tried our way through the variety of tapas. We enjoyed it very much. A good selection of Spanish wines and beer rounds the whole thing off nicely. The service was friendly and quick. Overall a fantastic evening.

A wonderful evening. We were here for the first time and absolutely loved it. Anastasija pampered us and gave us very good advice. The tapas are of excellent quality and the portions are really large. So be careful: sharing makes sense. That's what you do with tapas anyway, but no elegant restraint is necessary here. The selection of wines is also perfect. We would like to come again.

Absolutely overpriced with mediocre quality. 10 fingernail-sized pieces of pulp for €19.90 tomato salad with anchovies and 3! Olives €14.50 and above all watery tomatoes, warmed pieces of baguette with ready-made aioli😖

Im Großen und Ganzen war das Essen nicht besonders da gibt es tatsächlich viele bessere Restaurants in Düsseldorf. Man wurde allerdings freundlich bedient und das Essen kam schnell obwohl es voll war. Es ist allerdings total kalt im Restaurant was das ganze Ambiente leider kaputt macht. Wir würden tatsächlich nicht unbedingt nochmal wiederkommen.

Everything was very tasty and nice, courteous staff. The restaurant is very chic and inviting. There are four stars only for the price, which is a bit steep :-). But otherwise everything was great!
