Es ist immer wieder ein kulinarisches Highlight. Der Service ist letztendlich was den Unterschied macht. Herzlichkeit, Freundlichkeit stehen hier ganz oben. Es ist ein Ambiente, was man nicht überall findet und da gibt man gerne sein Geld aus. Auch für die Kinder ist es kulinarisch ein Highlight, was für uns nicht unerheblich ist, wenn es um die Lokal Auswahl geht. Bis ganz bald wieder

Essen lecker, Chef sehr nett und zugewandt, Ambiente wie immer toll. Einziger Minuspunkt: Es roch etwas nach Klo. Das wurde aber durch das schöne Erlebnis gut abgefangen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Service und Essen war wie immer hervorragend. Gestern war eine Geburt stagsparty, deshalb war der Lärmpegel deutlich höher als sonst.

We celebrated our wedding here in mid-July – it was a wonderful day! The modern restaurant has a covered terrace, making it ideal even if it rains. We had a detailed planning meeting beforehand and were able to maintain contact with Mr. Schwögler and the staff throughout the preparations. On the day itself, the fantastic service really deserves special mention! Super attentive, polite, and accommodating. The food was also truly fantastic, and we received nothing but positive feedback! The quality was truly indescribable! The only small hitch was that we were told at very short notice that we had to decorate that morning and take down everything that night – but we were able to overlook that. For us, it was the perfect day in the perfect location!

Super Essen, Preise auf hohem Niveau aber sowas gönnt man sich auch nicht mal zwischendurch, sondern nur zu besonderen Anlässen. Vier Gänge Menü vom Feinsten. Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal dort und kommen auch sicher wieder.

Wir haben uns eigentlich sehr wohl gefühlt. Service bei Begrüßung aufmerksam. Mussten uns jedoch dann bei der Getränkebestellung bemerkbar machen, weil niemand kam! Bei der Dessert Entscheidung war Service ein bisschen aufdringlich. Leider wurde die letzte Getränkebestellung dann vergessen, sodass wir das Dessert nicht so genießen konnten!

We recently hosted a garden party and deliberately chose Schwögler – Restaurant + Catering GmbH in Bad Abbach. Based on many positive past experiences – both personal and business – it quickly became clear to us that we were in the best hands with Helmut Schwögler and his team. And that was exactly how it was: Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded in every respect. Even the preliminary planning was remarkably pleasant. Communication was absolutely smooth, fast, and solution-oriented. You immediately notice the experience, sensitivity, and professionalism that goes into the work. All requests were addressed individually, without complicated coordination – this made preparation much easier and built trust. On the day of the event, the team was well prepared, on time, and arrived with a noticeable ease of touch. The service was truly outstanding: attentive, friendly, yet relaxed and professional. Exactly the right mix for a privately hosted garden party – warm, but never intrusive. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, which was clearly thanks to the outstanding performance of the entire Schwögler team. The culinary highlight of the celebration was a true highlight – and we mean that literally. The menu was well thought out, seasonally coordinated, and executed to the highest standards. Even the starter, with various breads and homemade creams, was tastefully chosen. The appetizers – a terrine of grilled vegetables with buffalo mozzarella and a vegetable samosa with basil sorbet – were creative, aromatic, and wonderfully light. For the main course, our guests had the choice between a tender pork fillet in a herb crêpe, accompanied by parsley root mousse, potato cakes, and bacon-wrapped beans – or a Mediterranean chanterelle tagliatelle with summer vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes, tarragon, arugula, and Parmesan, stylishly cooked in parchment ("al cartoccia"). Both versions were extremely well received and received unanimous praise from our guests. As a sweet finale, a semi-liquid chocolate soufflé with vineyard peaches, raspberries, and sour cream sorbet perfectly rounded off the menu – a dessert that delighted both visually and tastefully. The price was also absolutely right. The quality of the food, the quality of the ingredients, the service, and the perfect organization are reflected in the price – and quite rightly so. We consider the value for money to be more than fair and appropriate. Our conclusion: This celebration was a complete success for us and our guests – thanks in large part to the outstanding commitment of Helmut Schwögler and his team. Anyone planning an event who values reliability, warmth, stylish service, and first-class cuisine has come to the right place. We would choose Schwögler again at any time – with complete conviction and genuine gratitude.

I probably had a little higher expectations from a restaurant that has won several major awards (Michelin, Gusto,...). The atmosphere was subtle, discreet, the chairs very comfortable, overall I rate it highly. I would have appreciated perhaps the textile covering of the tables, which is common in restaurants that serve tasting menus. However, I appreciate the fresh flowers on the table and the textile napkins. The service was nice. I was a little disappointed that the main course was already relatively lukewarm by the time it reached me and the edge of the filled pierogi was very hard. The sweet dessert (filled apricot balls) was great, but two balls would have been just right. One person doesn't really enjoy it with one. But apparently with a 5-course menu, the amount is sufficient. In any case, I would gladly come back here despite my minor reservations.

We can 100% recommend Schwögler Bad Abbach Restaurant for wedding celebrations. After initially looking elsewhere for two other locations, we came across Helmut Schwögler. We received excellent advice here, and the entire process was explained to us from A to Z. Rehearsal dinner included. Parking for the whole group in their own large car park right in front of the door (others already have their first challenge there). A very upscale ambience, with a well-dressed and always friendly and courteous team. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, both inside and on the terrace. The food and drinks (much of which was also non-alcoholic) were masterful, as all of our guests confirmed. The entire setting was just perfect. Mr. Schwögler specializes in wedding celebrations; he leaves nothing to chance. Top organization, absolutely reliable, advises, writes things down, and implements them. It's worth the price! We'd say "we'd be happy to do it again," but then, you don't get married every day 😉. Helmut Schwögler and his team are absolute professionals. It was a wonderful day for us and all of our guests. Dear Helmut and his team, you're a master of your craft. We'll be happy to continue to be your guests in the restaurant, I promise. We were there for dinner on a Thursday evening. The service was extremely courteous and friendly. The food was imaginatively put together and extremely tasty. The ambience was nice and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Many thanks to the entire team. We would be happy to come back and recommend your restaurant.

The food was delicious as usual, but the atmosphere was really unpleasant! The tables were sparsely set, there was an empty table next to us with lots of crumbs, and it was cold! I've known this restaurant for a long time and enjoy coming for the food, which is always very good, but the decor and condition weren't nice. It's a real shame, because I know you can do much better!

Hello, today in the Schwögler restaurant in Bad Abbach. The reception was warm and nice. We treated ourselves to the classic menu. Stunning. The dishes were a feast for the eyes and the taste was excellent. The amount of food was also enough to fill you up. In short, if you don't go there, it's your own fault. :-)

Hallo, Heute im Restaurant Schwögler in Bad Abbach. Schon der Empfang war Herzlich und nett. Wir gönnten uns das Klassik Menü. Umwerfend. Die Speisen waren eine Augenweide und der Geschmack Hervorragend. Die Menge der Speisen war auch ausreichend um Satt zu werden. Kurz gesagt, wer da nicht hingeht ist selber schuld. :-)

A visit to the Schwögler Restaurant is an all-round pleasure. From the first minute you feel very welcome as a guest - the service is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is excellent: lovingly prepared, made from the best ingredients and tastes excellent... every dish is a delight, from the starter to the dessert. Wir waren für ein Menü an Valentinstag da, es war ein 5 Gang Menü für 95€ pro Person mit Weinbegleitung Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und ist absolut zu empfehlen, es war wirklich ein toller Abend aber ein paar Abzüge muss ich leider machen. Das negative an dem Abend war: - Lange Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen, begonnen wurde um 19 Uhr und der letzte Gang kam gegen 23 Uhr - Die Tische standen wirklich Tisch an Tisch so dass man auch alles von den Nachbarn mitbekommen hat - Es war unfassbar warm dort drinnen und die Luft sehr stickig -Der Nachtisch war leider nichts - Und es war wirklich sehr laut drinnen das man sich fast gefühlt anschreien musste.

Die Qualität der Speisen, die verwendeten Produkte sowie die Präsentationsoptik lassen keine Wünsche offen. Besonders herausragend finde ich derzeit den Zander. Sehr wichtig finde ich zu erwähnen, dass alle Gerichte für meinen empfindlichen Magen bekömmlich waren - auch das zeugt meiner Meinung nach von der Qualität des Essens! Wir hatten einen sehr gelungenen Abend im Restaurant Schwögler. Nach einer sehr herzlichen Begrüßung folgten neben einem Gruß aus der Küche vier geschmackvolle Gänge von Süßkartoffel-Ingwer-Suppe, Blutorangen-Pfeffer Sorbet bis Steinbutt. Als Dessert ein an Dubaischokolade angelehntes Tiramisu. Die empfohlene Weinbegleitung hat sehr gut mit dem servierten Essen harmoniert.

Ein tolles Ambiente, super Service, leckeres Essen und sie gehen auf alle Bedürfnisse ein. Allergien vorher angeben und dann einfach nur noch genießen ohne bedenken. 🥰

Wir waren gestern Mittag im Restaurant Schwögler. Ich hatte mich schon sehr gefreut, da ich aufgrund meiner Verletzung lange nicht mehr essen war. Leider wurden wir kaum begrüßt und es dauerte lange, bis wir eine Speisekarte bekamen und bestellen konnten. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Leider nach wie vor kaum Auswahl für Vegetarier. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn es etwas innovativere Gerichte geben würde. Es gibt inzwischen viele Vegetarier und ein Gericht auf der Sonntagskarte ist schon sehr wenig. Schön ist die ruhige Essatmosphäre. Nicht so schön ist es, dass nicht alle Tische in gleicher Weise zuvorkommend bedient werden. Wir kommen seit mehreren Jahren mit der ganzen Familie an Weihnachten. Leider hat es noch nie geklappt, dass unsere Vegetarierkinder eine Speisekarte mit ihren vegetarischen Gerichten bekommen haben. Man muss immer extra fragen, was es gibt und kommt sich als Exot vor. Wir sind sehr gespannt, ob es dieses Jahr klappt. Ein Besuch im Restaurant Schwögler ist nett, aber nicht außergewöhnlich.

As a wedding photographer, I was able to accompany a wonderful bride and groom in the Schwögler Restaurant. The large hall is cozy and the staff checks on guests and service providers, which is not a given. I felt very comfortable. Gladly again!

Ein absoluter Reinfall! Drei Essen - alle drei kamen so zeitlich versetzt, dass jeweils der, der schon ein Essen hatte, bereits fertig war, bis das nächste Essen kam. Nudeln waren nur halb gar und außen kalt; Filet war völlig durchgebraten und trocken (nach dem Gargrad wurde nicht gefragt); Servicekräfte kannten die eigene Speisekarte nicht... Auf die Reklamation, dass ein Essen kalt ist, drehte sich die Servicekraft wortlos um und kam nicht wieder. Und das waren nur die Highlights! Restaurant Schwögler war letzte Woche wirklich perfekt - Service, Ambiente, Gerichte: ein rundum gelungener Abend! Aber das Il Cambio - absolut NICHT empfehlenswert!

Wir waren zu viert im Restaurant Schwögler und haben das Wirtshausmenü gewählt. Das Essen war hervorragend, von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert. Die Gerichte waren geschmacklich sehr gut abgestimmt, und auch der Wein war perfekt auf das Menü abgestimmt. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Was soll man sagen? Perfekter(!) Service, das Innovativ Menü ein Geschmacksfeuerwerk für den Gaumen, wunderschönes Ambiente, für unseren Jahrestag (den wir nur kurz bei der Reservierung als Anlass angegeben haben) ein extra ansprechend dekorierter Tisch. Mehr geht nicht! Definitiv nicht das letzte Mal gewesen und zu 100% zu empfehlen!

Mozart event evening on September 28th, 2024 great ambience, great 3-course menu, successful supporting program, very attentive service, not over-the-top, simply worth every euro. Our family guests who were invited to this event were also impressed. The evening was just fun. Schwögler is always a good address when it comes to quality food, drink and good service.

This restaurant has an exceptionally beautiful ambience! The staff and boss are super attentive and nice and the food is just wow! Very happy again!

Noble restaurant, no star but great. Ambiance is pleasantly simple but nice. It is advisable to eat from the menu here to experience the full enjoyment. There is a classic menu and a classic menu with home-style but refined dishes. There is also an innovative menu with more unusual dishes and a menu that also offers a sophisticated sequence of dishes. In terms of price, the whole thing is of course not cheap, but it is very affordable given the high level. A 5-course menu plus wine and water and a digestif and coffee comes to around €100 per person. Of course you can also spend more or less.

Unser Essen war ausgesprochen schmackhaft zubereitet. Besonders das Pfifferling Risotto. Der Wein war excellent. Der Service sehr liebenswürdig.

We celebrated our wedding in the restaurant at the beginning of June. Both the food and the service are top! I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is still looking for a location <3

Wir hatten relativ kurzfristig reserviert. War kein Problem. Der Kellner war super freundlich und hatte auch Rich Ahnung sei es die Weinkarte oder das Essen. Er war immer zur Stelle aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Essen selbst war ein Traum. Spitzen Qualität und auch nicht zu wenig. Wir kommen wieder.

Die Qualität und der Service sind eine klare Entscheidung für weitere Besuche. Einziges kleines Manko (Schon Jammern auf hohem Niveau) ist die recht lange Wartezeit aufs Essen. Wir kamen um 13 Uhr, serviert wurde kurz vor 14 Uhr. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt!

Wie immer erstklassig. Preis/Leistung top. Würde in einem Sterne-Lokal auch nicht besser sein. Nur teuerer.

We celebrated our wedding in the restaurant and are completely satisfied. The entire team is very attentive and everything runs in the background so that the bride and groom can enjoy the day in a relaxed manner. All of our wishes were taken into account. 100% recommendation 🫶

Our last visit was many years ago. At the time, we weren't really impressed with the food. So we were excited to see how the restaurant, especially the kitchen, presented itself. The modern ambience is pleasant and pleasant. We were personally greeted by the owner and escorted to the table. He was very helpful in choosing the wine, which also suited our taste. When we ate we decided on a menu. The composition was optimal. Quality and quantity very good. We were also positively surprised by the price-performance ratio for a guesthouse in this class. The only point of criticism we have to mention is that the main course was actually only served lukewarm. In addition, as already mentioned in other reviews, the toilet facilities, which cannot be complained about in terms of cleanliness, somehow no longer fit in with the modern flair of the guest rooms. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service either. We will certainly come back.

We celebrated our wedding in the Schwögler Restaurant. The location is well maintained and well suited for a small to medium-sized celebration. We were also able to have our free wedding ceremony on the roof terrace. Sun protection is rather limited. However, we were less happy with the communication and implementation of our individual wishes. We were hardly taken into account here and were subsequently claimed that we had not communicated our wishes. I would therefore recommend putting everything in writing. The service team was able to make up for the existing inexperience and unclear communication with their very hard-working and friendly manner (the team on the wedding day did not know a lot of what we had previously discussed in the preliminary discussions). However, you get a 3-star rating if you take the difficult communication into account. Meat dishes and vegetarian dishes were successful. Interesting and upscale vegan dishes would be a great addition, which would also take into account the current changes in dietary habits. There is still room for improvement here.

Das Restaurant ist definitiv ein Besuch wert. Der Service bemüht sich, aber man muss etwas warten wenn man bezahlen möchte oder eben selber zur Kasse gehen.
