Top class and absolutely delicious, price perfect 🤗 always happy

My husband and I were regular guests in the Donaulände for almost 5 years. There were months when we ate there on three Sundays. The service, the food and the prices were always great and justified. However, after Corona, the prices rose significantly, which was very understandable at the beginning and we were happy to pay it. But now the prices for what is on offer are beyond good and evil. One must not forget that it is a very simple village economy. The drinks glasses are matt and scratched. The cutlery is the simplest ever. Nothing has changed in terms of decoration or furnishings over the years. The cobwebs on the dirty windows and window sills have increased rather than decreased over the 5 years. But that was ok for us over the years and we looked past it because there was very good food and great service. However, the last few times there was a different waitress there. Almost no permanent staff left and only untrained ones, which was noticeable straight away. Today is the time for us to definitely stop eating there! My husband ordered a roast venison and I had pre-ordered a sauerbraten. When I ordered I said I didn't eat game and what did I get? A roast venison and I wasn't even told about it! With the first bite I noticed that the sauce tasted completely different than usual with sauerbraten and I told my husband this immediately. The flesh like a shoe sole and flaxy. We both cut out over half of the meat because we couldn't eat it. After a while the waitress came and said they had made a mistake and I had been given a roast venison. I told her beforehand that we were very disappointed with the food and then came the confession about the wrong food. For me it was then done and I couldn't eat any more. Another waitress then came and said she had done everything right - it was definitely a colleague and wanted to know who brought me the food. When I told her it was her, she said no, it was someone else. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. Mistakes can happen to anyone, the question is how do I deal with them? As compensation, we were offered an espresso or a scoop of ice cream on the house and we had to pay for both meals in full. This is definitely the end of it for us. If you had taken a dish off the menu and apologized, we would have said ok, it can happen and we'll come back at some point, but that's just not possible. We also told the waitress straight away that we wouldn't be coming back. Also because of the price changes, we have been eating there less in the last few months. A sauerbraten from 9.80 to 17 euros and a duck breast from 11 euros to 19.90 in a village restaurant is simply completely excessive for us. In the women's toilet you had to dry your hands with toilet paper from the toilet because there was no paper and my husband said everything in the men's toilet was under water and hadn't been cleaned up. It's a shame, but at some point the traditional restaurants will die out.

A very cozy restaurant where you can get good food for reasonable money, nice, good service. But the best thing is the view of the Danube, I was at sunset and the atmosphere while eating was wonderful, I can warmly recommend it.

The food was good and you can have a nice view of the water from the terrace... Update: Ate here again today after 2 years. The food was top. I had cheese spaetzle, which isn't on the menu, but tasted very good. Our schnitzel eaters were also super happy and the children anyway... Service was also very friendly and accommodating. Also for the children... Price performance is top! Thank you and see you soon!

Very good service, the food was delicious. Every one of our *special* requests were fulfilled. We also stayed at the associated campsite for two nights and can only report good things here too. The street was quiet at night. 🤭 We will definitely come here again. Thank you for the nice days. 🌞

Delicious food and beautiful location. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible here. Young people in particular often don't have any cash with them, so I think it's a shame!

Even though we wanted to eat something warm relatively late, at 8:30 p.m., it worked out great! The food was hot and the price/performance was ok. The friendly service deserves special mention.

Magically located. Staff was very friendly and professional. We took a Zille/wooden boat from the monastery a little way downstream and back again in the late afternoon. Wonderful, quiet, close to nature and cheaper than the big ships.

There aren't many inns on the Danube where you can dock your boat, I wish there were more of them! Great food and ambience!

The Donaulände restaurant in Bad Abbach deserves a full 5 out of 5 stars. This great restaurant, located directly on the Danube, is convincing across the board. The price-performance ratio is right, so you can eat and drink very well here without having to dig deep into your pockets. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are very attractively designed. The outdoor area in particular, with its wonderful view of the Danube, invites you to linger and creates a relaxed atmosphere. An ideal place to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and indulge in culinary delights. Highly Recommended!

The location is right on the Danube and I was a guest as part of my SBF exam. The food looks good, the prices are a bit high in my opinion. Nice beer garden and nice staff.

Great atmosphere! Extremely nice staff! The food is always delicious and the prices are reasonable! Dogs are always welcome too! We come to eat several times a year and have never had a complaint! Big compliments to the entire Donaulände team!

Food tasted good and the location is great

Were on the terrace for coffee and cake, homemade cakes were extremely tasty, coffee was fine. If you want to go for dinner, warm food is offered all the time.

We were promised a very good meal. Unfortunately we couldn't confirm it. It was ok, but unfortunately nothing special. The situation was a bit difficult with small children. Right on the street with lots of cyclists and a few cars. Parking was only possible for us on the street, unfortunately the 5 parking spaces were full.

Food good and reasonable for the price. The service is subpar: we were cycling with a dog and asked for the dog in the water after there was only a rotten, dry dog ​​bowl next to the door: The waiter then said: "We don't serve dogs -" and it was referred to the bowl next to the door. When I pointed out the dry bowl, I was told that I could help myself in the toilet - which I was forced to do. For me, really an underground service.

Delicious food, adjusted prices. Service was understaffed, like everywhere else, so the ice cream order was probably forgotten.

Hatten dort ein Geburtstagsessen! Die Speisen alle super lecker, der Service Megatoll und der Kuchen war selbstgemacht. Die Preise völlig in Ordnung. Wir kommen öfters zum schlemmen.

Es ist kein Geinschmecker- Lokal aber das Essen ist gut, alle sind freundlich und es ist einfach gemütlich. Vorbeischauen und sich verwöhnen lassen. Es ist ein Ausflug wert, da auch die Gegend sehr schön ist.

Wie immer super Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Dazu freundliche schnelle Bedienungen und eine Tolle Sicht von der Terrasse auf die Donau. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her.

Tolles Essen in schöner Atmosphäre mit Blick auf die Donau. Eva, die Bedienung super freundlich und witzig, Note 1. Ihr Kollege auch super, das Essen war schnell und gut zubereitet, Jägerlende und 1x Champignonrahmschnitzel mit Salat. Das Bier dazu hat prima gepasst. Der Ausflug hat sich absolut gelohnt.

Sehr lecker Freundliches Personal Immer wieder

Einfache aber schmackhafte Gerichte. Schnelle freundliche Bedienung. So wie früher.

Wij stonden aan een plek gelijk aan de weg en de camping is zo te zien bijzaak aan het restaurant, maar een camping direct aan de Donau heeft wel wat. Overdag dus wel last van langsrijdende verkeer, maar 's avonds en 's nachts is het rustig. Verder geen voorzieningen op de camping afgezien van een net sanitair gebouw.

Schöne und gut gelegene Gaststätte. Die Terrasse ist lediglich durch die Uferstraße vom Wasser getrennt. Schöner Ausblick. Vor allem an sonnigen, warmen Tagen sind so einige Boote und sonstige Wassersportler unterwegs. Die Gaststätte wird gerne von Radfahren angefahren aber auch Veranstaltungen, wie z.B. eine größere Geburtstagsfeier finden hier statt. Als Einkehr, im Rahmen einer Motorradtour ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Parkplätze sind vorhanden und direkt vorm Lokal. Eine Tisch-Reservierung macht durchaus Sinn.

Ein kleines feines Lokal direkt am Main-Donau Kanal mit wunderschönem Ausblick. Essen ist lecker und preislich akzeptabel.

Die "Donaulände" liegt direkt an der Donau - genial beim Radfahren - leckere Gerichte und Brotzeiten 😋

Sehr gutes Essen. Von der Terrasse schaut man auf die Donau. Die Straße mit den Parkplätzen liegt leider dazwischen, allerdings ist die Straße nicht stark befahren.

Wie schon andere Kommentare, einfach aber lecker . Schwerpunkt Schnitzel. Könnte man gerne etwas ergänzen. Service super freundlich und schnell. Wir gehen wieder hin.

Sehr gut. Schnitzel, Cordonbleu und Beilagensalat ein Träumchen. Herzlicher Empfang. Ganz liebe Kellnerin. Wir sind richtig glücklich, Papp satt und vor allem sehr sehr lecker. Die Nachspeise mit den Apfelkücherl auch ein Traum. Wir kommen wieder.

Essen war gut, Bedienungen freundlich u aufmerksam, nett zu sitzen mit Blick auf die Donau. Zimmer einfach eingerichtet, aber sauber. Frühstück reichhaltig. Und sehr erfreulich 2 Bootsanlegerstege. Freuen uns schon aufs nächste mal.
