Nice place if you don't have a dog with you. We took our dog with us on holiday and wanted to teach her to swim here. But the picture from the front says that the dogs will not be in the water tomorrow. Which I find very strange. This is just a puddle of water, not a swimming pool or anything. It is also not explained anywhere why this should not be allowed. For the rest it was nice with a bar Enzo, they speak a little English so we could make our plan. There is a small beach where you can chill on. Quite a nice place!

Overall everything was perfect except that we were the only guests and the room lacked heating. Apart from this last remark I recommend this restaurant.

Hello, today we went to the Grüner Baum following a recommendation. Beautiful old half-timbered house from 1685, large rustic beer garden with children's play area. Friendly service, super nice owner, fine food, received quickly & generous portions. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back ☀️ August 1st, 2020 - the country event in the rustic beer garden was well attended and the weather was passable. The “Texas plate” with the wonderful pulled pork, the delicious spare ribs & the great BBQ sausages from the smoker together with the baked breads from the kettle & the American coleslaw tasted excellent. The musical entertainment skilfully met the tastes of the guests and encouraged them to sing along. We are already looking forward to the next visit 🙋 May 23rd, 2021 - Whitsun Sunday - finally open again. Eating out again with a negative corona test and hygiene measures. Roast wild boar & roast lamb, very tender and tasty 😍 December 31, 2022 - Rustic New Year's Eve buffet 🥂 October 2nd, 2023 - Oktoberfest 🍻 10/31/2024 - Hey, we're back from a "small village in Gaul", where we had a delicious meal and a "fiery magic potion" (brewed personally by Miraculix) last night in the oldest restaurant in Ortenau an der Rench 🤠 "Troubadix Nino" performed excellently to the general joy, which encouraged some guests to dance 💃 The service from Asterix & Obelix was quick & careful 🤩 Thank you to everyone involved for the beautiful, entertaining and funny hours 😘 12/31/2024 - 😋 Sodele, last night in honor of the New Year, a rustic, home-style, lavish New Year's Eve buffet was offered in the "Green Tree" (first mentioned in 1685) 😋 🥳 The atmosphere was great! Nino del Garda played excellently; There was already dancing before the buffet opened. We had hit the jackpot with our table neighbors. Very nice people for a fun, entertaining & enjoyable evening 🥳 02/14/2025 - Sodele, last night we went to the Italian-German Valentine's dinner. Fine starter & salad buffet, three soups & several main courses to choose from & dessert buffet (unfortunately I had to pass here; the previous courses were too tasty) 😋 The atmosphere was excellent. Nino del Garda skillfully performed it for everyone's enjoyment. Even before dinner there was a lot of dancing. At an advanced hour there was karaoke. Very funny! 🥳

The meat is excellent and the quantity more than sufficient. Very simple in the dishes but the quality and taste are top notch and we like to come back for that. Well done!

Restaurant discovered by chance. Really the typical German village bistro with the regulars having their aperitif. Really delicious and flavorful grilled chicken. Service by the owner who makes an effort to speak in French
