Schwalbennest in Dessau-Roßlau

Schade aber trotz Öffnungszeit bis 0 Uhr stehen wir gerade vor verschlossenen Türen. Keine Info vor Ort, einfach zu. Schade. Zur Ehrenrettung. Als wir abfahren wollten kam der Chef raus und sagte das die letzten Gäste schon über eine Stunde weg sind und er deshalb schon zu hat. Er gab uns den Tip für eine andere Gaststätte in der Nähe und die war voll und es gab noch was zu Essen. Es war übrigens gerade kurz nach acht am Samstag als wir dort waren.

Heidi laughs, serves quickly, the summer air plays with the wind. The swallows circle the sky, the end of the day is healthy. Under the trees, completely relaxed, with friends, a mug in each hand, you forget worries, time, and everything else – in the Swallow's Nest beer garden. 🍻

A super cozy restaurant. A must-visit. The host and owner fulfill almost every wish.

In the eastern district of Waldersee, not far from the main street, lies the Schwalbennest. Here, you'll find a quaint pub with a great outdoor area, which is used as a beer garden during the warmer months. The interior is lovingly decorated and, especially in the winter months, offers cozy warmth from a fireplace. The extractor fan works perfectly, and there's never any unpleasant odor. They offer a limited selection of cold and hot drinks that should leave nothing to be desired. In fact, such establishments are very rare these days. I attribute the negative reviews to a possible lack of knowledge of the etiquette of "old-school" establishments. For example, it's considered proper to greet other guests by knocking on their tables upon entering, or to hang your jacket on the coat rack provided instead of over your chair. It's sad that such pub customs are no longer standard practice these days...

A very nice little "nest." We sat comfortably in the well-kept garden. We also had a great chat with the friendly owners.

It is always very cozy in the Swallow's Nest! Today we had a barbecue with bratwurst, steak and delicious potato salad

Sehr nette Wirtsleute und dazu gibt es den vielleicht besten "Strammen Max" der Welt! ...und wir wissen wovon wir reden! Möge diese kleine, gemütliche Einkehr noch lange erhalten bleiben!

Sehr komisches und unfreundliches Verhalten vom Personal. Ursprünglich sollte es nur ein kurzer Stopp auf ein Bier werden. Anscheinend war das Personal bereits damit überfordert, weshalb wir erstmal Platz nehmen sollten. Natürlich hatten wir neben den besetzten Plätzen noch einen schönen Fleck auf einer Wiese gefunden, Biergarten bekommt an dieser Stelle wohl eine neue Bedeutung. Nach 20 weiteren Minuten ohne auch nur eine Information wurden wir nett mit den Worten: "Sie gehen? Zum Glück!" verabschiedet. Wenn Sie kein Geld verdienen wollen, machen Sie die Hütte einfach zu.

Katastrophe - schade, dass 0 Sterne nicht möglich sind! 10 junge Leute, die ganz in Ruhe 1-2 Bier trinken und Bockwurst essen wollen, werden quasi völlig ignoriert, andere Gäste(im Schnitt so 65 Jahre) eher bedient und wenn man nach 15 Minuten, ohne etwas zu trinken zu bekommen, mit den Worten „Sie gehen? Zum Glück!“ verabschiedet wird, weiß man wieso hier in Dessau nix läuft. Alte Leute, die junge Leute sofort als asozial abstempeln und sich 150€ Umsatz in 30min entgehen lassen. So wird das nie was - meiden Sie das Schwalbennest... vor allem, wenn Sie unter 40 sind!
