If you pay 24 euros for 2x kebab plates and 1x kebab box, then you should at least be full. It's bad enough that you pay 8-9 euros for a kebab or kebab plate, but then every piece of meat is turned over three times because you notice at every corner how much savings are being made here too. No card payment in the 21st century, and the cash register is reminiscent of 1980, no receipt. You can imagine how the business model works. Taxes are certainly only paid for every 2nd or 3rd kebab if the cash register is used more for “decoration” and you don’t get a receipt. Too bad! Then it's better not to eat here anymore.

We wanted to enjoy German cuisine and not spend so much money. Quickly looked it up on Google and then went to Astoria. The first impression was, let's say, difficult. When we held the card in our hand, we were skeptical about how the prices would work if you only expect a little bit of quality. We order schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes and schnitzel with fries and two fried eggs. I chose Soljanka as a starter. While we waited for our food, we philosophized again about the quality and prices of the food. ....and about the guest room. The fact that we had to wait a good 40 minutes for our food gave us a good feeling. And then.....bääähhhhhmmm....our two plates arrived. I've rarely seen anything like that. Two large schnitzels n pound of side dish and plenty of champions. Oh dear, how will it taste for the price. Keep your fingers crossed and try it. Phew, lucky you. The taste was great but basically we each had two portions for the price of one. So I was very happy that my starter was forgotten. It would probably have been an entire tureen just for me. In the end we paid €33.20 for three drinks and the two huge portions and had a very friendly conversation with the MA. Honestly, for this quality and the price of the food it would be difficult to get a seat. If you want to drink a fancy wine or cocktail... you've come to the wrong place.

Wir waren am ersten Weihnachtstag zum Abendessen da. Uns entstand der Eindruck, dass zu viele Buchungen angenommen wurden. Unser gebuchter Tisch war nicht verfügbar und wir wurden im Kaffee "Heimweh" geparkt. So gemütlich wie es wirkt, so dringend hat es einen neuen Anstrich nötig. Unsere Frage nach einer Getränkekarte wurde mit "heute gibt es keine" beantwortet. Ein neues, wenn auch überflüssiges Erlebnis. Deshalb leider nur drei Sterne und das auch nur, weil das Essen selbst schmackhaft war.

A good opportunity to organize larger family celebrations... very nice landlord... well located property... invites you to go for a walk - after extensive enjoyment of food and drinks (but you have to get them yourself)
