Schützen Kegelbahn in St. Georgen im Schwarzwald

Brilliant. I always have the feeling I'm doing something wrong when ordering (judging by the waiter's look), but in the end everything is great.

A very disappointing experience; I absolutely cannot recommend this place. We arrived and ordered our food. We ordered a pizza and the house special, ravioli with chanterelle mushrooms. They were sold out of chanterelles, so we ordered spinach ravioli instead. Several other guests arrived right next to us, having ordered their food about 10-15 minutes later. Guests at other tables received their food before us, even though they had also ordered pizza and pasta. We waited and waited, but no food arrived. When we asked the server if we had been forgotten, she went into the kitchen and then came back to tell us, "No, we haven't been forgotten; the order slip is still hanging in the kitchen." After waiting for about an hour, our food finally arrived. By then, the guests who arrived after us had finished eating. The pizza was tasty, but the ravioli were not only oversalted, but the portion size was also outrageous: 6 ravioli for €15.90. That amount was perhaps enough for an appetizer, but certainly not a main course (see picture). It was a very disappointing restaurant experience and I absolutely cannot recommend it.

We ordered fried noodles with sweet and sour sauce and duck, and rice with chicken and dark sauce. Service was very quick and the staff were very friendly. As for the taste: the duck was an outrage; it was like biting into crackling. There was hardly any of the beautiful duck breast to be seen, the noodles tasted like overcooked spaghetti, and the sauce didn't taste like the typical sweet and sour sauce at all. The fried chicken was the tastiest of the dish, but the rice was completely overcooked and the sauce was simply too salty. Especially for the price, I wouldn't recommend it again.

Closed, looks abandoned. The opening hours are on the door. Regularly open today. No holiday notice.
