Schneider Bräuhaus Berg am Laim in München

I ate two dinners at the fair. Exceptional food, prices in line with other places. I highly recommend it, if you are in the area it's worth a visit.

The food was very delicious, the beer was also very good. The waiter made good suggestions. The only negative is that there is no Wi-Fi and I could not charge the phone.

Took my visiting friend here for dinner and a few beers. When paying, was just shown the total on a handheld device and not handed an itemised bill. When I got home I felt "hmm that was an expensive evening". I know exactly what I ordered so looked up their online menu and realised the waiter overcharged me for our food and drink. My rating on how much we spent per person including a ~€4 tip shows $30~40. If i was billed correctly, this should have read €20~30. Will I come here again? More than likely not. Shame as I'm a local.

Came here today on a recommendation. We ordered the roast roast full of anticipation. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The piece was very thin, stringy and excessively fat. The taste was ok. I've eaten much better. I didn't think the value for money was OK at all. Maybe we were unlucky that day. But unfortunately I can't recommend it. The service was nice, but that was it. I'm used to different things here too.

Fantastic Traditional food fare and beer selection from the brewery it is operated by. Large portions and fantastic flavors, perfectly cooked pork and delicious soup.

The Bavarian food was really excellent, the waiters were friendly and the ambience was great. The Kaiserschmarrn was simply fantastic and in an XXL portion - you can easily share it between two people. It would have been nice if the waiter had pointed this out to us.

I had roulade with loos and homemade red cabbage. Very tasty food for a reasonable price. The service is great.

A hearty brewery with very tasty food. Service was friendly and the ambience was as you would expect. I'd love to come back here.

The restaurant is very cozy. Unfortunately, dinner didn't go well. I ordered a Swabian plate. Lt. Pork medallions with pretzel dumplings and mushroom cream sauce. Since I don't like pretzel dumplings, I ordered spaetzle as an alternative. But then the plate with the dumplings and additional spaetzle arrived. The pretzel dumplings were all burnt on one side and lay with the dark side down on the plate. But I didn't want that anyway. Hardly any sauce. Not to mention mushrooms. The meat was not cooked through and unfortunately there was no loin or fillet either. So rather tough. I reordered SAUCE. Some kind of gravy came. The food was absolutely disappointing.

Typical Munich tavern. We had the Bräuhaus Reindl, a little buffet of everything, so to speak. It was all very tasty. You often had to wait a bit for service. But that was due to the fact that it was very full. They did their best. A man more staff on an evening like this wouldn't have hurt. Of course it was also very loud in the dining room with so many people. But that's part of the atmosphere.

We made reservations and were seated ahead of time. Julian was super friendly and made recommendations since I don’t eat pork. The chef made accommodations for us, as we had a toddler (picky eater). The food was excellent. I had the onion roast with a salad, instead of the potatoes. My mom had the baked chicken salad. We both shared the ‘Bavarian’ dessert. The whole ambiance was a vibe. It was great and a terrific way to end our first journey to Munich!

We celebrated our company Christmas party at Schneider. Our expectations were exceeded. Menu and ambience simply great. The service was great, I haven't experienced such a friendly team in a long time. Kudos to you guys! Keep it up, it was a lot of fun at the Schneider Bräuhaus. Highly recommended!

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. The sauerbraten hasn't seen a drop of vinegar. The bread dumpling tasted bland.

We celebrated our Christmas party in this restaurant this year and were completely thrilled! The rustic and inviting ambience immediately created a cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent - always attentive, friendly and well organized. The food was also an absolute highlight, especially the Brozeitbrettl and the Kaiserschmarrn. A big compliment to the entire team at the restaurant for this successful evening! We would definitely like to come back and can recommend the restaurant without reservation!!!

Bavarian Cuisine in East Munich A particular restaurant (near our Hotel) welcomed us for dinner. Great location (there's their beer hall in the back... Simple mise en place in my opinion, a bit poor for the amount paid. The staff spoke nothing but German... a few words only in English. At the end of the dinner they asked us for a 20% tip which made the bill rise to €180. Wasn't it enough to ask directly and include it in the bill? We wanted to try a typical appetizer (cold cuts, cheeses, sauces, cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons, salted butter etc. in addition to the dishes they recommended: the Wiener Shnitzel (veal cutlet Milanese style) with roast potatoes, cranberries and lemon, as well as the fresh roast pork in the oven, with cabbage salad, Shneider-Weisse Jus. For dessert, apple fritters with cinnamon sugar, fresh berries, homemade vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. To finish, coffee and a local liqueur: the Marille-Shnaps (made with apricots... dry and very fragrant! Definitely worth a try). In any case, it was worth it dinner here. If I were to return I would like to try the pork shank.

Spontaneously reserved online for 2 hours, everything worked out great. Were greeted warmly, seated and served very warmly. The waitress had fun at work and radiated it. Gastronomy is fun. And the food was wonderful. Rustic traditional cuisine with modern approaches. Very tasty from the soup to the Kaiserschmarrn. Ambience great too. Different rooms designed differently, everything traditional and typical. To feel good.

We were staying 10 walk from here so had to try the Bavarian cuisine for which it advertises itself as excelling in. The food was superb - knuckle of pork with polenta and liver schnitzel. The portions were huge so there was not chance of sampling the limited dessert options. A good selection of their own beers along with a good wine list. Service was professional but could have been warmer.

A really nice Bavarian inn with good food and very friendly service. Rustic but also modern furnished. Fortunately, the menu is clear and not too overwhelming. Portions are generous and the quality is very good. Schneider's wheat beer is of course also excellent.

The food is good, the staff courteous and the prices completely reasonable in relation to the quality and quantity. The only flaw is the absence of an effective purification system for kitchen fumes whose more or less pleasant fumes permanently invade the local and soak clothes and hair.

Classic Bavarian place with fantastic beer and great food.

Food portions are huge. The combo meals were a bit average. The burger is very good. Although the bun looks ordinary, it tastes very milky and the steak also retains gravy. The desserts are also very delicious. Although they look ordinary, they taste amazing. The sweet and sour balance is very good, and the cake is processed to be soft but crispy at the same time. It is an unforgettable taste. The beer is the best I have ever tasted in Europe. It has no bitter taste at all, and it still tastes good even when it is not so cold. Finally, the service staff are very friendly and will give good recommendations. The atmosphere is great. I like it very much. Went there twice in just three days!

There were six of us, we had a nice place, the waiter was very attentive and all the dishes were very tasty. The crowning glory was the Kaiserschmarrn, best ever👍will happily come back 🙋

Enjoyable meal. Traditional German food. Shared table as is normal in busy restaurants. Staff friendly and spoke good English as most places do in Germany. Recommend.

Flammkuchen was good. Currywurst was good. They didn't have more warm options though. The beer was not our favorite. The kinder Spielplatz was very dirty and uncared for

Rustic Bavarian restaurant. Typically for Munich I think service is super great and nice. The waiter recommended what was probably the best pancake soup I have ever eaten. For the main course I had an original Wienerschnitzel, which unfortunately didn't suit my taste. As a side dish to the schnitzel I had the fries, which were again very tasty. As a side dish there was a kind of salad which unfortunately wasn't seasoned or had any dressing. Value for money for the soup. Main course and two drinks were absolutely okay at €45.

I took my family to this restaurant with typical Bavarian cuisine for dinner. The food was good, service was ok. However, we were disappointed when we were charged an additional €10 for the service when billing, which was not stated anywhere. I don't know if this is a common practice, but it definitely wasn't appreciated. It would be helpful if such information was clearly visible to customers.

Were there again after a long time. Very nice beer garden in the middle of the residential area. Just had it for a drink, next time it was definitely for food. Everything looked great.

We were here for a casual and comfort quick dinner, we always like beergartens on our holiday. We had schnitzel and some drinks. Drinks are served in 0.5l glasses. İt was not the best schnitzel İ had but for our simple stay at munich it was oke, just a little expensive but whats not expensive these days.. We liked the server, he asked us several times if we needed anything, friendly and chill guy. The garden itsself was also cosy for a quick casual beer/small bite.

Incredibly bad service. Service was so slow and rude. Not just to me, but everyone around me. She THREW menus to the two men on the table beside me and rolled her eyes as she walked away. I had to order a beer 3 times with the same person and it took over 15 minutes and there was only 6 tables. I would never go back.

Very nice place! Food and beer really tasty. However, the service was very poor! Being greeted as illiterate - even if he probably meant it funny - is not good. We were about 1 meter past the place to be seated!! When I asked, I was able to get a second one - the right one and delicious. A super cozy beer garden, slightly hidden in the residential area. Food was super tasty and a very loving, nice female service staff 😊 We can only recommend it.

A real German restaurant! We wanted to grab a bite to eat before Adele's concert, and this restaurant was our choice for a Wiener schnitzel. This was tasty but very greasy! Friendly service and I'm joking.

Great ambience, traditional Bavarian, delicious Schneider hefeweizen, friendly service and as a special treat: Kalbslüngerle with grade 1+ with a star. Not everyone can cook offal, but everything was perfect here. Thank you very much, I'll be happy to come back.

Classic Bavarian beer garden, you can also bring your own food as far as I've seen, but it's better to inquire beforehand. There were a few waitresses there, all of whom were friendly. The atmosphere in the beer garden was great. The food was delicious, there could have been more for the main courses, but everyone will definitely be full! Desserts were excellent! A clear recommendation to treat yourself to something and maybe try the apple pie! Beer was also delicious, from the in-house brewery, you can also get advice if you are unfamiliar.

Yesterday's food was not edible, sorry, we were there with 12 people and were looking forward to a nice evening, then this came (food)? The liver was bloody and tough, the roast pork was completely dried out, the mashed potatoes were ice cold and there was already a skin on top, roast gröstl without roast and what was supposed to be a fried egg instead of liver cheese? and the crowning finale was a Kaiserschmarrn with cocktail sauce? It doesn't work at all. No apology, no criticism and no waiver of the bill. Sorry, that's it.

What was going on today? Liver not edible and almost cold...liver cheese instead of beef in the Tyrolean largest...Sparerips were great here for 20 years, just fat, the sauce had a topping...yuck...salad dressing strange taste indefinable...French fries empty taste...We have I told the very nice waiter to please say that as constructive criticism in the kitchen...Then, according to the picture, the operations manager came and looked at us all so angrily instead of asking what wasn't right, that would have been professional, then he started talking to the kitchens as he left People gossiped about us... it's a real shame... an era is passing, this manager will probably ruin the great restaurant... and we're really not like that, never say anything, but that was subterranean

After arriving at the hotel we urgently looked for a beer garden and found it. We were immediately assigned a seat in the garden and orders worked perfectly. Staff very friendly and accommodating. If you find time in the next few days, I'd be happy to do it again!

We reserved a table for 7 p.m., that worked well, but that was it. It took 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. And before that, the staff always walked past us. Everyone who came after was taken ahead of us. Then finally someone came and ordered drinks and another 25 minutes went by and no one came to order food again. Then it was too stupid for us and we left. Poor service and we definitely won't come back.

Ate there our first night in Germany. Ended up being the German football game. We had a blast with the atmosphere in the beer garden. Our waiter was fabulous. Recommended the dinner for two, which pretty much sampled everything. It was delicious! Highly recommend.

We wanted to take a break from geocaching. At around 11 a.m., there were still seats available outside. A very friendly waitress brought our order: 4 white sausages and 2 beers. Pretzels were also served. All in all it was an absolute pleasure. Very tasty sausage. Skin came off easily. Service was very nice and always ready to accommodate requests. Deserved 5 stars. It doesn't get any better.
