Very tasty food, all the portions that were brought to the beer garden looked attractive, tasty and large, definitely worth a visit again.

Our meal - bruschetta, baked potato with green sauce and a salad with baked feta - was tasty, but the tiramisu for dessert was unfortunately not good. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, the price was okay. It's nice to sit in the beer garden and from there you can walk and hike directly in the forest, dogs are allowed. We would come again!

Literally leaves people out in the cold. I got there during a storm, it was raining heavily. So I took my bike under the roof into the beer garden. The landlord didn't want that, which I understand. He said it wasn't possible, he was a triathlete himself and that wasn't possible - you could say it another way... So I took my bike and wanted to store it outside and asked him where I could do that. He then pointed to the uncovered parking lot! THANK YOU.

The Schluchthof is back to what it was years ago! The food is top! The service was courteous and nice! And the ambience in the usual form with a small children's playground 1a! We will be back!

Although the restaurant is spontaneously visited by both cyclists and hikers, the "boss" succeeds 99% of the time in pampering the hungry guests, in addition to making reservations. In addition to the delicious and fresh food, the extremely friendly service must be mentioned, which really makes us want to come back again and again.

By far the best restaurant in the area, the chicken is always well seasoned and the skin is baked crispy, the tarte flambée is super thin and very tasty and even something smaller, like the cooked cheese, is homemade and simply great. Likewise the service, everyone was very nice and never too intrusive. After a hike in the Rückersbacher Gorge, the best place to stop off.👍

Service was okay, half the chicken was very dry and not good. The tarte flambée had poor toppings and a detox water for €6 is pretty cheeky.

We spontaneously stopped and ordered schnitzel. The schnitzels were good and the fries were very tasty. Staff was super friendly. You can pay with EC card.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience here. Mediterranean tarte flambée was simply dry puff pastry with hardly any creme fraiche, a few olives, a few onions and tons of paprika powder for €11.90. Little taste. Dry as dust. We had an extra fresh bowl of cream brought to us, otherwise it wouldn't have been very edible. Especially not for this price. When paying, the female... The waitress asked if it was tasty, but after I said it was too dry, I received a meager "okay". Very emotionless and disinterested. A pity. The bowl with extra creme fraîche was charged at €2.90 instead of being graciously charged to the house. So the one star goes to the attentive male waiters, who were quite friendly but the food wasn't worth it.

Completely overpriced food. Two dry hand cheeses for just under €10. Impossible service who called me cheeky when I asked for my cake, which I wanted to have with coffee and which she had apparently forgotten. I'll never go to this restaurant again.

Today I was pleasantly surprised by the Schluchthof. We were here last year and found the dining room uninviting and the staff listless. We weren't particularly impressed with the food at the time either. I ended up here again today as part of a hike and this time I was very satisfied. The food was very good and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. I can absolutely recommend the Spaghetti Aglio Olio. They were perfectly al dente. I will definitely come back here again soon...

Unfortunately, we also had the experience today that you are not welcome here with a dog or dogs. The dining room inside was closed, so we went out.....The 3 dogs (3kg, 4.5kg and 18kg) were lying there on their blankets under the table...but we were also told directly by the boss that it was absolutely not possible with 3 dogs inside. The sound makes the music and that's not how you treat paying customers. Next, standard dishes were no longer available and we got tasteless saffron noodles and an over-seasoned or under-seasoned schnitzel........ Unfortunately the location has deteriorated a lot. We actually always liked being here...but not anymore. A pity.

Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take the dog in because he was considered a nuisance. Our dog was just lying under the table. Even with a blanket.

Really bitter... The location of the Schluchthof is really brilliant. Great hiking trails in an exceptional forest. This is definitely worth it. That's it for the advance laurels. After my third time in this restaurant, I will now convince the rest of the family to look elsewhere or pack a delicious snack in their backpack. As I remember it, I've had at least 2 or 3 schnitzels in the last few years. This year Jägerschnitzel. Others had tarte flambée or something else. The schnitzels are overall not my taste. Homemade breading? Never. Here, no one beats fresh schnitzels and breads them. I know exactly the taste very well. From my point of view, these are ready-made schnitzels that are prepared in the deep fryer. In the worst case scenario, TK schnitzel. The mushrooms were not fresh but canned in a tomato-like sauce. Unfortunately, this isn't hunter's sauce for me. Well, it's not a schnitzel for me either. Last but not least, the salad dressing was completely over-seasoned even though the salad looked really tasty. So? Full throttle and invest in quality. You could also enclose the garbage dump in the yard. Why do I, as a guest sitting inside, have to see this at all? What was good was: The boss is super friendly and simply great. The impression is that of a restaurateur who lives it. And unfortunately that was one of my few positive memories from the last few visits. The beer garden is a godsend. There is something above about the situation. Unfortunately we won't be coming back and wish you a speedy recovery. x xEnd x

It was just a lot of fun, the food was good too,

After a wonderful hike through the gorge on Good Friday, we (4 families with 4 dogs) wanted to stop at the restaurant. Of course we called days in advance and asked if it was okay. Unfortunately we couldn't influence the weather, it was wet outside. We were then rudely thrown out because of the dogs (4 were too many and too wet)! Sorry, we understand that it's not for everyone, but that's exactly why we called ahead! Everyone can imagine how difficult it is to get a seat in a restaurant with four families at 6 p.m. on Good Friday!

In my opinion the best chicken you can get in the area. I've been going to Schluchthof since I was a child, and even now with a different owner, the quality of the food is still at a high level. A nice excursion restaurant with a beer garden and a view of nature. Fields and forest frame the restaurant wonderfully. A nice experience on the terrace, especially in summer. I can only recommend it to everyone.

After a bike tour lasting several hours, it would have been nice to get two drinks when we stopped at a restaurant that has been frequented by day trippers and cyclists for decades. The terrace was occupied by around 30 people at the time. We couldn't order anything because later a large group was canceled and, according to the service staff, they would then be overwhelmed. In my opinion, you shouldn't run a restaurant with 250 seats with this attitude. It's a shame, but we won't come back even if all the guests are scratched !You have your chance yesterday on the 3rd. 3. lost in 2024. I'm my own person.

Leider mussten wir als Stammkunden feststellen, dass trotz erhöhter Preise (kleines Stück Kuchen 4,90€) , die Portionen kleiner geworden sind. Z. Bsp. 2 lächerlich kleine Scheiben Brot und ein kleines Glas Kochkäse für 9.80€ , ne kleine Tasse Cappuccino 3.70€ . Für eine Gaststätte auf dem Land ,ne ziemliche Hausnummer. Salat -nur grüne Blätter! Das halbe Hähnchen nicht größer als eine Taube für 15.90€ , gab es im Sommer 5€ billiger. Gibt Gott sei Dank noch andere Restaurants im Umkreis, wo das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis noch passt.

Ich besuche das Restaurant schon mehrere Jahre und bin jedes mal stets zufrieden mit dem Essen + Service. Der Inhaber und sein Sohn sind sehr nette und aufmerksame Menschen, die sich immer bemühen, dass beste zu geben. Knobi Hähnchen 10/10! Ich komme gerne!

Enttäuschend. Das Schnitzel (Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat) war vergleichbar mit einem Imbissschnitzel. Dafür soll man 15,90€ bezahlen. Hausgemachte Pannade und zarter Schweinerücken, wie in der Karte steht, trifft leider nicht zu.

Durch Zufall zu den abgelegenen Restaurant gefahren, , Vom Preis her, hatten wir das nicht erwartet, was wir bekamen. Sehr frisches, Oft Regional ausgewiesene sehr Lecker Verarbeitete Lebensmittel. Danke Auswahl der Karte, nicht übertrieben, denoch schwierige Auswahl, klinkt mit der Lebensmittel Auswahl sehr ansprechend. Preislich, Leistung untere Grenze, ich vermute hier soll die Allgemeinheit angesprochen werden, die es sich nicht immer Leisten können hochwertiges Essen zu genießen. Vegan /vegetarisch Oft möglich! Negatives: Im Gastraum, sollte noch schallschluckende Elemente verbaut werden, es waren zu der Essens Exotische Zeit "wenig" Personen da und es war laut, OK die Gruppe war sehr laut gesprächig, Bier, na ja nicht mein Fall (darüber kann man streiten) aber gute Auswahl! Draußen kann man im Wintergarten oder Sommer Terrasse sitzen. Für Kinder gibt's Spiele und Malsachen sowie draußen kleiner Spielplatz. Für vier Beiner Schüsseln zum Trinken. Mir hat es nicht so geschmeckt, ich hatte ein Hähnchen das nach nichts geschmeckt hat, mein Lebensgefährte konnte nicht klagen. Ihm hat es geschmeckt. Wir hatten nette Leute am Tisch.

Sehr leckeres Essen- für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Egal ob Fleisch, vegetarisch oder vegan. Außerdem schöne Location und sehr freundlicher Service.

Mein Eindruck war der, man sitzt draußen und hat ein nettes Ehepaar kennengelernt und hat eine gute Unterhaltung geführt.Auch war das Essen sehr gut. Die Bedienung kam sofort an den Tisch. Auch war mein Eindruck recht gut.

Schön gelegener Biergarten am Ende der Rückersbacher Schlucht. Guter Service, eine gute Karte und die berühmten "Schluchthähnchen" sind wirklich zu empfehlen. Immer gerne wieder

Gut gegessen und wir hatten einen tollen Sonnenuntergang

Auf unserer Reise nach München haben wir zur Mittagszeit Rast gemacht. Eine Karte, die für jeden Geschmack etwas anbietet. Freundliches Personal, das schnell arbeitet. Auch die Küche :-) war sehr schnell. Preis- Leistung stimmt. Anschließend waren wir von dort direkt spazieren ( Verdauungsspaziergang ;-) Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Sehr schöner Außenbereich / Biergarten. Lädt zum Verweilen ein. Bedienung war schnell, zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Haben nur etwas getrunken und ein Stück Kuchen vom Tagesangebot (5 verschiedene) gegessen, daher kann ich das Essen nicht beurteilen. Klare Empfehlung.

Sehr schöne Gegend, Außerhalb jeglicher Ortschaften in der Natur. Nur der Parkplatz, Radfahrer und vereinzelte Spaziergänger (unter der Woche). Essen schmeckt gut auf der Terrasse oder im Hof unterm Zeltdach.
