Always a wonderful experience for the palate and the soul.

The menu is currently very decent. It's clear, yet there's something for everyone. The food is lovingly and deliciously prepared. The service is attentive and friendly. Oh, and yes, they also serve delicious cakes. The location: fantastic.

We drank a cappuccino and ate a piece of fruit cake here. Everything arrived quickly. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but that's probably not going to change in a castle.

Around 1 p.m., in the blazing sun, there are plenty of tables and chairs set up in front of the restaurant, along with a few parasols. Inside, three tables are occupied by two people each, meaning it's completely quiet, and the three staff members who can be seen have virtually nothing to do. Nevertheless, there's no service on the terrace. We were warmly welcomed on the terrace at the Kurfürstenstube by the palace exit.

There is no service outside (but you are not allowed to take the coffee outside either)

The food here was very delicious and the service was also very good.

Unfriendly service. Very disappointing – the dessert looked completely different from the menu. I accept that pictures don't always accurately reflect reality, but there were no berries and not even a real scoop of sorbet. When I asked about it, the waiter reacted rudely and simply said I had to eat it as it was or pay anyway, and that the pictures weren't binding. Afterward, two employees even came over and tried to convince me that the picture was just an example. That's how you can serve any "product" and simply claim the picture is just an example. Absolutely disrespectful treatment of guests.

Unfortunately, the closure until August 29th is only communicated via a sign on the door. There's no announcement on the answering machine or here on Google. It's a shame, as we were really looking forward to a good meal after a day in the park.

During our visit, about half the tables were occupied, and there were three waitresses working. After more than a quarter of an hour, no one had attended to us. We left... I'd actually like to give this place 0 stars.

A very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere, right in the heart of Schwetzingen Castle. The service was always very quick and courteous. It was relatively quiet, so it's hard to judge the service when it's very busy. The food was truly wonderful. The carpaccio was one of the best I've had recently. The fillet tips were also incredibly delicious. The sauce was even better. The price is a bit high, but it's reasonable for the location and the quality. I'd be happy to go back.

We chose the daily special, which was served very quickly and was absolutely delicious. The menu is lovingly tailored to the fairytale ambiance of the castle. A particularly nice touch: There's also a fine selection of cakes, making the restaurant ideal for coffee and cake. A perfect place for an enjoyable break!

Once again, a very pleasant experience! The service was attentive and friendly, the food was impeccable, the atmosphere was as royal as ever, and now comes the dessert, and it looks delicious too! Highly recommended for people who enjoy a slightly sophisticated evening.

We wanted to have a coffee and a dessert first, then we decided to eat and it was the right decision. The atmosphere is very nice, the service very good and everything we ate and drank was excellent, prices normal.

2025.05.17 For afternoon coffee: Iced coffee and rhubarb cake with whipped cream or blueberry cake -> absolutely satisfied and highly recommended. Very friendly staff! The ambiance with a view of the castle park does the rest. Always happy to come back. Since we live further away, we try to come here at least once a year 👍

I celebrated my birthday at Theodors, and it was a fantastic party! All the guests loved it. The organization was great, and the food was delicious.

Beautifully located in the castle grounds with a lovely view. You can sit inside or outside. The staff is very friendly. The food and drink menu is extensive, with something for everyone. The broth was hot and delicious, and it came with plenty of bread. The pistachio ice cream sundae was particularly delicious! Very wheelchair accessible, and dogs are allowed. The staff is very friendly.

Very good food and excellent service

It tastes good, is a bit more expensive, but unfortunately we had very unfriendly service (lady in her mid-40s with black curly hair). Very unfortunate.

The staff deserves special mention. This is very attentive, very friendly and super nice. However, the food is in no way inferior to the staff. This is very tasty and visually appealing. The price-performance ratio definitely fits. We would like to come again.

After a walk in the castle park we went here for dinner. The ambience in the restaurant is outstanding, the service is excellent and the food is fantastic. All in all, Theodors Restaurant is an unforgettable experience.

We went to a concert there. It's rather expensive and doesn't match the quality. Otherwise everything was ok

Very friendly service and a nice selection of food and drinks. We particularly enjoyed the salad with Maultaschen and the fish & chips. Since we were there at lunchtime, we had to wait a little longer, but the ambience in the historic surroundings made up for it. Overall, a pleasant experience that we would happily recommend.

Theodors is a wonderful place to spend some time, whether it's a brunch, dinner or even a (wedding) party. The team is well-coordinated even under new leadership and exudes a feeling of well-being. There isn't much more that can be said about the location other than that it is probably the most beautiful in Schwetzingen and the surrounding area. The food is of very high quality, the portions initially look a bit small, but this doubt quickly disappears, especially as the eye fills up.

You still got a spot without a reservation. Very bright atmosphere with indoor and outdoor areas. Staff friendly, courteous and well trained. Mango cake is very tasty and the hot chocolate tastes delicious. Toilets very clean despite a lot of public traffic.

We were only here for coffee and cake. The milk coffee was very good. The mango cake was extremely tasty, a bit sweet, but well made with the crunchy something in the base. And despite the location in the castle, the price wasn't shocking.

A loving, polite, courteous and well-coordinated service team paired with excellent cuisine actually deserves more than 5 stars! Above all, we were more than thrilled with the Advent and Christmas brunch. An unbeatable Christmas atmosphere is offered here. Delicious cake and extremely nice service! We'll definitely be back!

The sea bream was dry, an osso bucco requires a gemolata, which was missing. The oils for the pasta were not described. When we didn't want coffee with our starter, we were no longer asked if we would like something to drink. Only whether they were allowed to clear the plates straight away. A pity. We would have loved to have a wine with the main course and an espresso with dessert. We waited a good 10 minutes for the bill. Conversations with other guests and colleagues were more important. When the waitress didn't get an answer when she asked if everything was OK, she didn't ask... Not a showcase for the ambience.

We got married last Saturday in the chamber music hall of Schwetzingen Castle and the catering and part of the organization was taken care of by the castle catering department. The service staff was very attentive and responded to all of our requests, the organization went well and we had a wonderful day. The food was a dream, especially the spaghetti in a parmesan loaf, that was my highlight. Many thanks to the whole team for making this possible, we and our guests had an unforgettable day 🥰❤️

Oh well. Ambience pretty bare inside. The food is so mediocre, a tourist rip-off - it used to be better. The opening times are also terrible. Availability and responses to inquiries online are almost nil. My throat has become too full again. The whole thing is going great because of the concerts and the weddings. Otherwise it's a waste of love. You can save money, as is often the case in Schwetzingen these days.

Kaffee und Kuchen erste Sahne. Kurze Stärkung nach einem halben Tag Schlossgarten Schwetzingen. Service (die nette Italienerin) war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Heute mal Abendessen im Theodors. War super lecker und die Aussicht ist halt immer wieder wunderschön. Unser Kellner war super sympathisch und freundlich.

Ich/Wir waren sehr zufrieden . Wir waren geschäftlich Schlossgarten und haben uns sehr gefreut Kaffee und Kuchen dort genießen zu können . Ein sehr schönes Ambiente ob drinnen oder draußen . Der Kaffee entsprach meinen Erwartungen und der Kuchen war vorzüglich . Leider hatte ich keine Zeit Wein und Zigarre zu testen ( beim nächsten mal ) Die Preise sind vergleichsweise sogar günstig und sehr fair . Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend . Ein Besuch ist sehr empfehlenswert .

Großartige Location und Gastronomie mit tollen Live Events.

Ein lichtdurchfluteter geschmackvoll gestalteter Raum mit Blick auf den Schlosspark empfängt den Gast. Das Essen war ansprechend in der Optik und das Irish Stew schmackhaft, die Bohnen bissfest, das in der Speisekarte genannte Lammfleisch jedoch eindeutig Rindfleisch. Die vegane Wirsingroulade mit veganem "Hack" gefüllt nicht schlecht, die braune Sauce zum Kartoffelstampf wirkte ein wenig künstlichen Ursprungs(" Knorr&Co.").Der Service war ausgezeichnet, nur auf die Rechnung musste man lange warten.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit hier gefeiert- vom Kontakt bis zum Tag selbst- alles super. Tolles Team, das offensichtlich gerne zusammen arbeitet. Sehr leckeres Essen- in jedem Fall empfehlenswert!

Noch nie so herzlich und freundlich, überaus zuvorkommend und nett bedient worden- ein absoluter Traum hier Gast sei zu dürfen, man wird auf Händen getragen und im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes königlich betreut- vor allem blüht Eltern das Herz auf, wenn sie mit ihren Kindern hier willkommen sind und deren Bedürfnisse respektiert werden. Wir hatten eine prima Betriebsfeier hier ausgerichtet, der Tag war gelungen, alles rund. Und das Essen war mega lecker, die Portionen groß, tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, aller super, wir kommen gerne wieder. VON HERZEN DANKE!!!

Reservierung an Tagen mit besonderen Events (z.B. Schwetzinger Schlossfestspiele) ratsam, Bedienung höflich reserviert, Preise gehoben, Essen gut, auf der Karte Gewöhnliches und Ausgefallenes. Es gibt eine Kategorie "Pasta und Vegan" mit 3 Gerichten, allerdings weiß ich nicht, welches das vegane Gericht ist, da die Gerichte mit Käse, Jogurt oder Garnelen beschrieben werden. Ein Hinweis auf evtl. veganen Käse oder Jogurt wäre hilfreich. Am Tag unseres Besuches waren nach eigenen Angaben 2 Bedienungen krank, so dass nur die Hälfte der vorhandenen Tische genutzt werden konnte. Mindestens an diesem Tag gab es keine freie Platzwahl.

Ideal für einen Kaffee und Kuchen nach einem langen Tag im Schloss und dem Schlosspark. Perfekt. Tolle Terrasse.

Sehr leckere Gerichte, die sehr schön dekoriert auf dem Teller, serviert werden. Service ist sehr freundlich und hervorragend.Außerdem hat man eine sehr schöne Aussicht zum Schloss sowie zum Schlossgarten.

Trotz Hochbetrieb an einem Sonntag wurden wir freundlich zu unserem Tisch begleitet und bedient .

Der Aventsbrunch bei Theodor's war sehr schön. (neuer Pächter).Die musikalische Untermalung angemehm und gut dosiert. Die Zusammenstellung der Speisen und des Büffet's war toll und sehr lecker. Auf Unverträglichkeiten wird eingegangen. Auch mit Kinder machbar. Aufmerksame Kellner. Auf das Hygiene Konzept wird geachtet. Und anschließend ein Spaziergang durch den winterlichen Schloßgarten, einfach herrlich. Danke an das gesamt Team.
