You sit on a terrace overlooking a park. The waiter is polite, friendly, but not aloof. The food... fantastic. Roast beef from a single piece of fillet... a dream. Simply perfect.

We had booked the rooms at Schloss Solitude for a birthday party. It's a great location, with excellent cuisine and very good and motivated staff. This made the event an unforgettable celebration. Many thanks to Jan and Jörg Mink and the entire castle gastronomy team at Schloss Solitude 👌👍🤩💯

Unfortunately we weren't served for half an hour. The waiter was at the next table, we spoke to him and he said he would be coming soon. We then waved several more times. After half an hour we left. Another waiter ran after us and apologized. The whole thing is somehow strange.

We felt like we weren't wanted. The café around the corner was recommended to us. We were also asked to sit one floor down because we just wanted something to drink, even though all the tables were free at lunchtime on a Saturday or occupied by beer-drinking cyclists. With strollers, the stairs and lounge furniture one floor below are a bit of a hindrance. We didn't feel comfortable as a family.

I chose the Schloss Restaurant for a private celebration. All of my and my guests' expectations were fully met. Top-notch gastronomy at its finest.

We celebrated our civil wedding at Schloss Solitude with coffee and cake on September 6th this year. Since the price isn't cheap, we thought about it for a while and gave it to each other as a wedding gift. It was truly special for us, a part of the day we were really looking forward to. Everything had been discussed and contractually agreed upon in advance, and the deposit had also been paid. This made the surprise on what had been such a wonderful day for us all the more unpleasant: upon arrival, we learned that we wouldn't be staying at the discussed and selected location, but in the restaurant – this was sold to us in a rather unfriendly manner as an upgrade. We never wanted this upgrade; on the contrary, the restaurant's interior doesn't suit our style, and we wouldn't have celebrated our wedding there if we'd known beforehand. When we said we would have liked to have been informed, we simply received the response that a child's birthday party was being held there (which we didn't see) and that the staff themselves had only found out about it 30 minutes beforehand. Ultimately, it took an extremely long time before we could start on the terrace – setting the table took over 30 minutes, and it took over an hour for the coffee to arrive. Although we paid for two employees, often only one was available, and unfortunately, he was very overwhelmed, albeit friendly. The cake was already outside before we arrived, contrary to our agreement – ​​uncooled. Ultimately, they apologized and waived the room rental fee – unfortunately, we don't see this as compensation, as we were absolutely not satisfied and continued to use the terrace instead of a room. An employee then came and distributed ice cream to everyone. We considered this a gesture of apology, but this was also billed later. Mistakes can certainly happen, but the subsequent behavior and the way they were handled were, in our opinion, very disappointing. We also never received a response to a subsequent email (three months have now passed).

We were ignored at reception. Some of the staff weren't even present. The service was careless and impersonal. The food was very good. It was cold in the room and the tables were still too close together from the night before, but were then moved to the side. There were also dirty glasses at our table. Too bad. We wanted to spend a special birthday with our grandpa. Service and support are absolutely part of it!!

Exquisite dishes. Top service. Very nice atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was that Mr. Mink came to our table and we had a relaxed and funny conversation.....Very personable. We'll be back.

We were privileged to celebrate our wedding at this beautiful venue and had an unforgettable evening with a wonderful ambiance, outstanding service, and exceptionally good food! Many thanks to the Mink family and team for making this possible :)

We had made a reservation for outside in the restaurant. Wonderful location and ambience. Unfortunately the service was a complete disaster. But more on that later... As we entered the outdoor area, there was a board that said "we are fully booked for today - thank you"... Aside from us, there was only a small group of guests there, all the other tables were empty. During our stay only 2 tables were occupied, all others remained empty. Fully booked certainly looks different. We were all the more surprised that we were served so hesitantly. When we finally had our drinks - of which 2 simple requests couldn't even be fulfilled - we were amazed to see a "sheet of paper" as a menu with no less than 2 starters, 4 or 5 main courses and !one! Dessert (tiramisu). There wasn't even any soup. Is that supposed to be Mr. M.'s restaurant, which we've heard a lot about and where Prominez already frequents? 3 of us ordered dishes that they didn't actually want, but there was no other alternative due to the lack of choice. The food itself was good, if not amazing. Portions were manageable. Orders were sometimes forgotten or only brought when it was actually too late, and a person at the table had to fetch the cutlery from an empty table himself after he had his food before his food got cold. At the second table, a guest had the entire roast thrown over his dress, whereupon the visibly annoyed waiter, after the mishap, angrily threw the plate onto the counter and simply threw the dirty chair cushion on the floor next to the tables. In addition, there was inappropriate "humor" from the second waiter, e.g. putting empty plates on the table and commenting that this was dessert... really funny... in between you also noticed that the chemistry between the waiters wasn't really right. Plates weren't cleared away for a long time and after everyone had eaten they preferred to smoke underneath the terrace instead of taking care of the guests. There was no “goodbye” either. We certainly won't be coming back, for these prices we expect appropriate service and not to be served like in a farmhouse. Apparently Mr. M. only wants to serve a limited number of guests, but he doesn't even manage to do this in terms of service. The junior boss didn't appear particularly competent either and only reacted when spoken to instead of greeting his few guests personally. It's a shame, this really doesn't do justice to the wonderful location.

In the reserved room there was still a broom with dirt swept up. It took 20 minutes for the staff to notice. The red wine came after the meal and one meal was completely forgotten. The menu on multi-copied paper without a cover. For the prices quoted here, you can expect a little more. E.g. spaghetti with tomato sauce 35 euros. The roast was very tasty.

Were in the cafe. The cake is delicious but the cafe from the fully automatic machine at the prices are a bit off.

Update: Yesterday I was really happy, as always. Was at Restaurante Schloß Solitude again last weekend after the lockdown and it was once again completely harmonious. The staff is very accommodating and the atmosphere is simply great and what is most important to me. The food is very good.

Sehr nettes Café mit superfreundlicher Bedienung. Kuchen und Torten frisch und lecker vom Konditor. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Very nice for a walk and great views. Parking nearby. I can't say anything about the castle, I've only looked at it from the outside.

The small cafe has prices like a large one. The cappuccino is way too expensive, then there aren't even decent cups, ours even had a crack. The cappuccino was good, but not worth the price. Even though it was open and you could sit outside, they weren't able to clean the chairs outside.

Choose the best weather in dry and sunny weather.

In den sehr schönen Räumlichkeiten lässt es sich sehr gut speisen.Wir reisen stundenlang an um die hervorragenden Maultaschen und den schlozigen Kartoffelsalat zu genießen.Sehr,sehr lecker. Wie alle Gerichte..

In a small side room with beautifully painted walls there was a small bar with coffee, tea and cake. Everything is a bit old and rather cold. The restaurant was closed. Definitely very picturesque in summer and rather uncomfortable in winter.

Super Caffee und Kuchen im kleinen Kaffe am Schloss

Vom Durst geplagt schleppte ich mich mit letzten Kräften zur großen Glastüre dieser Gastronomie. Dort angelangt überprüft ich mit einem schnellen Blick meine Brieftasche. Diese war leer. Ich sah mich dem verdursten nahe. Doch die nette Bedienung schenkt zwei Becher Leitungswasser. Durch diese nette Geste ist es mir heute möglich diese Bewertung zu schreiben. Da in Zeiten meiner Not diese Gastronomie mir die helfende Hand reichte.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen zum Essen im Schloss Solitude Restaurant und können es wirklich weiterempfehlen. Von der Suppe über den Hauptgang bis zur Nachspeise erlebt man ein geschmacklichen Hochgenuss und jedes Gericht wird liebevoll angerichtet. Der Service ist aufmerksam, charmant und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder, vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

The risotto was full of flavor with a slight touch of cream. The mushrooms and tomatoes were the right choice to combine with. As for main dish, we had a steak with prawns and smashed potatoes. Perfect mix. Really liked the steak, super tender. For dessert we had homemade ice cream that I didn’t take any picture of it. IT WAS SIMPLY DELICIOUS AND FRESH. My favorite flavor was pistachio.

Essen vergessen da verwechselt mit anderer Gruppe, Service unaufmerksam. Getränke werden nicht eingeschrnkt, nur Flasche auf den Tisch gestellt. Cola, Wasser... Dazu passt das Preisniveau dann nicht. Location echt cool. Schade.

Das normale Restaurant war leider geschlossen und wir wurden barsch darauf hingewiesen. Alternative ist das kleine Café. Die Terasse des kleinen Cafés ist nicht so schön in einer hinteren Ecke gelegen und trotz Selbstbedienung sind die Preise schon fast unverschämt: 4,10 Euro für einen kleinen, nicht besonders guten Cappuccino. Es empfiehlt sich eher ein Picknick vor schöner Kulisse.

Wir haben hier unsere standesamtliche Hochzeit gefeiert und es war sehr schön. Die Location ist top, es war sehr ruhig und angenehm, das Essen war frisch und sehr lecker und der Service war sehr gut. Alles in allem ein absolut gelungener Restaurantbesuch!

Toller Grillabend im wunderschönen Ambiente, der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, vom Grill gab es leckeres, zartes Hühnchen, Iberico-Schwein und Bio-Lachs. Und davor der lilafarbene Aperitif, "geräucherter Lavendellikör", der Hammer. Muss man probiert haben. Schön dass es noch so eine Gastronomie gibt, wo man sich wie ein König fühlt und die Erinnerung an kulinarische und gesellige Stunden mit nach Hause nimmt. Dankeschön!

Tolles und gepflegtes Ambiente Wir waren im Rahmen eines Barbecue Abend im Restaurant des Schloss Solitude - alle Speisen waren gut und frisch - die Darbietung war nicht gut gelöst und es waren teilweise Speisen nicht mehr verfügbar Die Bedienung machte einen überforderten Eindruck und konnte manche Fragen nur damit beantworten, dass sie das nicht weiß. In Summe haben wir uns (auch in Anbetracht des Preises) mehr erwartet - unsere Erwartungen wurden leider nicht erfüllt

Wir haben im Schloss Solitude Restaurant unsere standesamtliche Hochzeit gefeiert und es war ein perfektes Erlebnis. Die Abstimmung zuvor war unkompliziert und einfach und die Umsetzung an unserem Hochzeitstag war perfekt geplant. Das essen hat wahrlich zu einem Geschmackserlebnis beigetragen und war bei jedem Gast eines der Highlights. Super freundlicher Service, tolles Essen und eine Gastronomie wo auch der Chef selbst anpackt - Family Business durch und durch! Danke für einen tollen Tag an das ganze Team!

"Nur " eine wunderschöne und interessante Schlossführung!

Ich habe ein gutes Essen im Rahmen einer Familienfeier genießen dürfen. Wiener Schnitzel mit Spätzle. Die Portion war sättigend, hätte aber gerne eine Nuance mehr sein dürfen. Der extra Wunsch nach Soße wurde prompt erfüllt. (Schwabe, typisch😉). Der Service hätte gerne auch ein lächeln aufsetzen können, insgesamt wirkten die Angestellten eher etwas lustlos und reserviert.

Food price. Quality. Very bad Wake-up before too late

Vor wenigen Tagen haben wir hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert - und waren absolut begeistert! Schon in der Vorbereitung haben wir uns perfekt betreut gefühlt. Nicht nur professionell, sondern auch herzlich begleitete uns das gesamte Team sodann auch während des gesamtes Tages. Die Location spricht für sich. Gastgeber, Speisen und Getränke waren hervorragend. Wir sagen nochmals ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön an Jan Mink und das gesamte Team für einen perfekten Tag. Eine klare Empfehlung von uns (nicht nur für Veranstaltungen, sondern auch für ein sehr gutes Essen und ein feines Gläschen)!

Ich habe vergangenen Samstag dort Musik für eine Hochzeit machen dürfen (Saxophon & Kontrabass Jazz Duo) und war durchweg begeistert!!! Absolutes Top-Ambiente, freundliche und zuvorkommende Servicekräfte und beinahe Alleinlage. Wahnsinnog schön und sehr sehr gerne wieder!

Das Schloss-Restaurant liegt in exponierter Lage neben dem Schloss Solitude. Auf der Rückseite gibt es eine wunderschöne Terrasse zu den Wiesen hin. Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe auf 18:00 angemeldet. Es gab vorab eine Speisenauswahl, daher waren alle Teller-Gerichte bereits Wochen vorher bekannt. Dennoch warteten wir alle mind. eine gute Stunde, bis die ersten Speisen serviert wurden. Viele Gäste hatten typisch Schwäbisches serviert. Es war ganz ordentlich, ja. Aber leider nicht mehr! Niemand am Tisch war richtig zufrieden. Die sauren Nierle mit Kartoffelbrei waren die €27,00 nicht wert. Es begeisterte weder die Zubereitung noch die Größe der Nierle-Portion. Und auch die geschmälzten Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat überzeugten nicht. Dem Kartoffelsalat fehlte der Pfiff und die lauwarmen Maultaschen waren zu salzig. Schade!

Dieses von Herzog Carl Eugen von Württemberg erbaute Schloss liegt wundervoll auf einem kleinen Berg sodass man den Blick über Ludwigsburg schweigen lassen kann. Die Räumlichkeiten können an bestimmten Tagen (siehe Homepage) besichtigt, sowie der Aussichtsturm erklommen werden. Das Schloss ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert 😃👍

Das Schloss selber ist schön wie immer, der Raum allerdings schlecht geheizt, so dass ich die ganze Zeit gefröstelt habe. Aber eine halbe Stunde warten zu müssen, bis einem Getränke serviert werden, ist nicht akzeptabel, vor allem wenn der Grund dafür ist, dass sich die Bedienung endlos mit Gästen am Nebentisch unterhält und einen ignoriert. Ebenfalls erst nach einer halben Stunde bekamen wir die „Karte“. Eine weitere schlechte Überraschung: statt der im Internet veröffentlichten Speisekarte, ein handgekritzelter Zettel mit nur einem Menü, keinerlei Auswahl. Das Essen, dass dann nach mehr als einer Stunde kam, war gut. Aber als dann auf einmal ohne jede Frage das Fenster direkt an unserem Tisch aufgerissen wurde (Außentemperatur 6 Grad) mit der Begründung dass man lüften müsse, und wir in dem eisigen Luftstrom saßen, war es des Schlechten zu viel. Wir haben noch nie einen so schlechten, rücksichtslosen Service bei schönem Ambiente und hochpreisigen Essen erlebt! Wir werden sicher nicht wieder kommen.

Man wird es schwer haben im Stuttgarter Raum eine bessere und schönere Location zu finden, als die Solitude-Gastronomie. Mit direktem Blick auf das wunderschöne Schloss feiert man im Spiegelsaal wahrhaft königlich. Habe meinen runden Geburtstag mit fast 100 Personen hier gefeiert. Jörg Mink war als Hausherr und Koch der perfekte Gastgeber. Seine legendären Rostbraten, gute Weine und ausgesucht leckere Deserts rundeten einen äußerst gelungen Abend ab. Der Service war perfekt und zuvorkommend. Wir waren auch schon öfter zu kleineren Feiern, zum Weihnachtsessen oder einfach spontan zum Abendessen da und waren nie enttäusch! Das Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis war stets in Ordnung und über die Qualität des Essen und den Service gibts nichts zu meckern. Volle Punktzahl!

Gastronomie Schloss Solitude - ist zu jeder Jahreszeit und an jedem Wochentag, tagsüber oder abends ist etwas Besonderes. Die Atmosphäre ist zauberhaft , die betont lokale Küche -exzellent , der Service - aufmerksam und freundlich. Kleine oder große Wünsche werden immer erfüllt . Besonderer Bonus - Kinderfreundlichkeit ! Ob eine kleine Geburtstagsfeier oder ein Jubiläum, ein Candlelight-Dinner oder ein Brunch an Weihnachten/Ostern - es ist immer ein Erlebnis!

Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist unschlagbar. Das Essen ist ordentlich, die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Restaurant bestätigt, was man von einer Gastronomie in dieser Preisklasse erwartet.
