Price performance unfortunately inadequate

A very nice ambiance for a wine bar. The food was also delicious, and the service was super friendly and pleasant. It was my first time there and I found everything very good and highly recommended. I think the price-performance ratio matches the quality of the food. The location is on a quiet side street, so it's not too crowded if you're enjoying your meal outside. Update: If you want high-quality German cuisine, this is the place for you, in my opinion. Absolutely amazing schnitzel! The gravy was also a highlight. My colleagues were all thrilled, too. The price is high, but it matches the quality of the food. I'd be happy to come back. I was there again and I'm still thrilled with the food. I had a salad with beef. The meat was absolutely tender and super tasty.

As a group of four people who obviously weren't regular customers and didn't fit into the TA OS clientele, we didn't feel well treated. It started with the fact that we had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. (The place wasn't busy and there were enough staff on duty.) The service staff was very friendly but inattentive to us. The seared tartare, which is declared on the menu as a classic "for 40 years," seemed absolutely outrageous to me for around (?) €35. It's simply meat cut into tartare that's been slightly fried... Nothing dressed, no gherkins or anything like that. It came with a mustard sauce with onions and some shaved carrots. I would have expected a lot more in terms of flavor. That was really disappointing. The shrimp with cocktail sauce was very good. In general, there's nothing bad to say about the quality of the food. However, the potato salad with the Wiener Schnitzel and the meatballs also had a predominantly "brawny" flavor, and could have used some seasoning, such as vinegar or a touch more mustard. It was a real shame that we felt ignored and that it took so long for the main courses to arrive, because while we were waiting for our food, no one else in the restaurant was served any food. To me, that means there was no stress about sending the food out. The final straw, however, was an employee who didn't want to let one of us use the restroom because he wasn't a guest. Thanks... Just confirms my impression that you didn't notice us. A constant coming and going like in a train station restroom (Weindorf), but then they wanted to send the real guests away. The note saying "Restroom for customers only, everyone else €2" really could have been omitted. We won't be coming back. What a shame.

Very good quality and finely crafted flavors. A suitable wine selection. Highlights include the various versions of tartare and the cordon bleu. Not exactly cheap, but worth every euro. That's why we're always happy to come back.

Taos in Stuttgart is a restaurant you simply have to experience once – and then you won't want to leave. The consistent, incredibly good service makes every visit special. I'd especially like to highlight Constantin, whose warm personality, knowledge, and passion for wine make every evening an unforgettable experience. The wine selection is simply fantastic: perfectly curated, of the highest quality, and with advice that goes far beyond the ordinary. You can tell that true connoisseurs are at work here. I've been coming here regularly for over two years. Anyone who appreciates special wine and high-quality food will love it here. Alex always provides excellent wine advice and offers fantastic events, such as guest winemakers and unique glass-by-glass wine tastings. They've recently added a highly decorated new head chef. Simply fantastic! I highly recommend it.

Lausterer is the top address for good wines in Stuttgart. The food also stands out for its very high quality. There's a daily specials menu that changes every day. I recommend Lausterer to anyone who values great food and a good wine to go with it.

Price - performance does not quite fit

Unfortunately there is far too little selection of wine for a wine bar. I'm used to different things at bars that focus on wine. The food was okay, but our portion sizes (cordon bleu with cucumber salad and cheese spaetzle) were a bit thin. Well, we arrived there very hungry - maybe not a good idea. But the quality was good! Here for a full score. What we liked was the ambience and the details (tin signs, decorations, etc.).

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. I like visiting the restaurant. However, my perception is that the prices have increased significantly and the portion size has become slightly smaller. The service is Swabian-tart, but warm. I can't judge the wine list; the high prices for a glass here make you a little taken aback.

Unfortunately I only tested it now based on a recommendation and was very pleasantly surprised. The quality of the dishes is at a very high level. The service is at the same high level, and there is also a very good and extensive wine list. Will definitely come back.

Nice wine bar - always very busy and difficult to get a seat. But this is also due to the fine wine list: good selection, but also the rarities make it exciting. The service is good and friendly, the ambience has something of a living room feel - especially in the back area. That's fun. Unfortunately, I can't judge whether the food is that good.

We like to go to the TA OS wine bar and enjoy the wonderful wines and crisp salads. However, we found it very unfortunate to be informed that the company was briefly closed by the authorities due to hygiene issues. One can only hope that this doesn't happen again.

The Lausterer in Stuttgart is a real insider tip for wine lovers and connoisseurs. Here you will find an Eldorado of excellent wines, which are often served from impressive large bottles - a highlight that gives the enjoyment a special touch. Host Alexander Dohnt is not only an expert in his field, but also a charismatic host. With his deep knowledge of wine and his close connection to the winemakers, he ensures that every recommendation is spot-on. The cuisine is in no way inferior: it is of a consistently high standard, creative and yet down-to-earth. Particularly noteworthy is the classic “seared beef tartare”, which is second to none and is an absolute must for every visitor. Conclusion: A place where wine, food and hospitality harmonize perfectly. Absolute recommendation for anyone looking for enjoyment at the highest level!

Food, atmosphere very nice. Service??

Wir haben uns entschieden spontan hier zum Mittagessen. Die Begrüßung war freundlich, Hunde sind erlaubt. Innen schön eingerichtet. Das Wiener Schnitzel war leider nicht so gut, Panade war sehr trocken und fiel ab. Die Maultaschen mit Salat waren ok. Die Weinauswahl ist nicht schlecht 😋. Es war aber ungemütlich, weil es relativ kühl im Gastraum ist. Der Nachbartisch hat sich bei der Bedienung beschwert. Sie sagte, dass sie dem Chef schon mehrfach gesagt hätte, dass es zu kalt ist, aber nix ist passiert.

Unfortunately the Wiener Schnitzel wasn't that great, the breading was very dry. Maultaschen with salad works. Wine selection is good. Unfortunately uncomfortable because the guest room is very cold. The table next door complained to the waitress. She said that she had already told the boss several times, but nothing happened! Unfortunately

If you like being treated unkindly and condescendingly, this is your place. Reservation didn't work with a small child; when asked, the service only said "what's your problem?". Food is ok, wine selection good. Unfortunately, the service manager didn't encourage his staff to be friendly either. Too bad.

Ich verstehe natürlich, dass eine Gaststätte den Wein nicht zum Selbstkostenpreis abgeben kann. Daher ist in der Gastronomie ein ca. 3-facher Aufschlag üblich und akzeptiert. Aber eine Flasche Wein, die ich bei Vicampo für 10€ kaufen kann für 59€ anzubieten ist dann schon extrem, zumal der Service den Wein nicht einmal vorstellt und erläutert, wie man es in einer Weinbar ( in der 90 % der Weine über 100€ kosten) wohl erwartet darf. Es wurde auch nicht nachgeschenkt oder mal gefragt ob und der Wein schmeckt.

The restaurant is primarily a wine bar with a correspondingly well-stocked menu. A unique selling point is probably the selection (!) of Roederer champagne. The menu is small, the portions are large and of good quality. “The eye eats with you” doesn’t work here because the lighting was dimmed to an extremely cozy level and the interior is largely black. There are two stars deducted for friendliness and service. At a restaurant right in the center of Stuttgart you also have “Stuttgart prices”. A recommended restaurant, also for night owls. The welcome was resolutely Swabian and warm: “This table is reserved from 9 p.m., they will probably be ready by then!”

The Flädla soup was served lukewarm, the cordon bleu with a thin slice of cheese was a bit too little for me, but the ambience was great. More price than performance.

Merely issuing interim invoices instead of correct receipts is unacceptable behavior for me.

A really great dinner with friends. We had the veal schnitzel, onion roast and the pulpo twice. For starters, put the beef tartare and the prawns in the middle for everyone. The dishes were all very tasty and our waitress was really attentive and humorous, thank you for the delicious and fun evening. What I didn't find so exciting is that the tables are unfortunately quite small for 4 people. I don't know the expenses, but if you were 3 - 5 euros cheaper per dish, I think you have a fair and justified price.

Food very tasty, service really great. The wine selection is also very extensive, but this is also my biggest weak point: the wines are generally extremely expensive. Approximately 3-4 times the trading price is used here. A little less wouldn't hurt in Stuttgart city center and would also invite you to order another glass or bottle...

Very modern wine bar in a great atmosphere and with a very good menu. Everything was perfect: very good food, a nice selection of wines, friendly and warm service. We felt completely comfortable. However, since the wine prices are significantly higher than the purchase price compared to other restaurants we have visited so far, a point is deducted at this point.

Service freundlich und kompetent. Inneneinrichtung stylisch. Essen solide mit viel Luft nach oben. Die Spargelsuppe war sehr dickflüssig und fade…Zitrone wäre wirklich eine Maßnahme. Das Schnitzel schmeckte nach dem Fett der Fritteuse, der Kartoffelsalat war gar nix. Das nächste mal trinke ich nur etwas und bewundere das Styling der anderen Gäste…

I'm from Karlsruhe and the MSC said that it was subber, it was subber, Gaisburger Marsch, Viennese calf meat, Peter Lauer Riesling sipped, really good wines in the open bar and a nice wine list. Great, it was a great pleasure♥️

The ambience in the interior is very cozy. It's nice outside too, but I personally found the watch auction in the shop opposite, which was broadcast on a screen and loudspeakers, a bit disturbing. In my opinion the service leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately not that attentive. Cheese platters and wine were delicious in and of themselves.

Always a pleasure to be a guest at the Lausterer. From the reception to the food (tip: the roast beef) to the really fantastic wine recommendations from the team, I was always very satisfied. A “must” for a beautiful evening in the center of Stuttgart.

Oh well. Prices very high. In terms of space, it's not a miracle. Unfortunately, the smell of fish is always very annoying. The food was delicious - but the bottom line was that it was 15-25 percent too expensive.

Wir sind seit Jahren Stammgäste im Lausterer, nette Bedienungen, gutes schwäbisches Essen! Seit es jetzt TAOS by Lausterer heißt und einen neuen Besitzer hat, haben wir jetzt nach soviel Jahren genug von diesem Restaurant! Die Weinpreise beginnen bei 7,50 Euro, aber nicht für 0,2 l, sondern für 0,1 l, d.h. ein normales Glas Wein mit 0.2 l kostet mindestens 15 Euro. Wir sind in der ganzen Welt unterwegs und solche Preise zahlt man weder in Baden-Baden, Provence, Côte d’Azur, Toskana , Florenz etc.! Wir mussten bisher nur einmal solche Preise für ein Weinglas in New York in einer Roof Top Bar in Manhattan zahlen. Aber das Lausterer ist halt in Stuttgart und gegenüber ist ein Wettbüro.
