After my business meeting, my girlfriend and I had dinner at Schlemmerstüble – and we were absolutely delighted. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive; we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was outstanding – freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The beer was also perfectly chilled and tasted delicious. Overall, an authentic, cozy restaurant with honest cuisine and warm service. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the area – highly recommended!

Since we're from out of town, the Schlemmerstüble was recommended to us. The owner has put a lot of heart and soul into welcoming her guests in an Alpine atmosphere. The chef and service staff do an excellent job. The restaurant is simply cozy, from the restrooms to the dining room. I always enjoyed going there. However, the prices have become truly exorbitant these days. I realize that quality costs money, but a cordon bleu for €26 or a couple of bratwursts with potato salad for €18 is really a lot of money.

Somehow stuck in the 90s. A wooden ambiance and, above all, large portions. If you're not a jumbo carpenter, just order the smaller portion (it's cheaper, too). You have to look for the information on the menu, though. The food was very tasty. You can have leftovers packed. The staff is friendly and appropriate for the entire establishment.

In a nutshell: the best Swabian food in Metzingen and the surrounding area. Owner Hilde and her team are super friendly. The ambiance is lovely, and everything is harmoniously decorated.

Food is okay, but service is terrible. They are extremely understaffed, waiters are rude. Wait time is enormous. Be prepared to wait 1 hour for food and 10-15 minutes for beer. Totally not worse going here.

We ate at the Schlemmerstüble in Metzingen this evening, and it was truly delicious! I had a schnitzel with cornflake breading, fries, and salad – super crispy and delicious. My friend had filled pancakes, and another friend had a tarte flambée. Both dishes were also very tasty. The service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. The price is on the higher side, though – my meal was €24, which is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food justifies it. Overall, a very pleasant evening with delicious food. If you value good quality, this is definitely the place for you!

The food was very good. The service was completely disastrous. We were forgotten and had to wait more than an hour for our food.

We eat here quite often, and I have to say we've never been disappointed. We celebrated our two children's first day of school here with the whole family, and no one was dissatisfied. Getting a table without a reservation is like winning the lottery. Keep it up 👍

*Unfortunately disappointing – never again!* We ate there with two small children (under 5 years old) and had to wait an incredible 1.5 hours for our food – completely incomprehensible given that the restaurant was half full. It was a real nuisance for children. When the food finally arrived, it was a disaster: completely oversalted, the meat wasn't as ordered (medium well), but definitely medium, and overall simply disappointing. On top of that, we were promised a side salad, which only arrived after repeated requests – and then the staff desperately tried to figure out which table it belonged to. The service was overwhelmed, disorganized, and unfriendly, but the clearing was quick. For a restaurant that claims to be family-friendly, this was unfortunately a very bad experience. Definitely not recommended.

Well, there's really not much to say about the Schlemmerstüble. The food is nothing special and exorbitantly expensive. The service was prompt, and sometimes someone was at our table every two minutes asking if we wanted anything else. So, I won't eat there again. There are better places.

The schnitzels don't seem to be homemade and also come from a deep fryer. The price is too high for that.

We've eaten here several times after a shopping trip or two. The atmosphere is very relaxed, especially on the terrace. The food is amazing. The fisherman's salad, meat cakes, Maultaschen (swabian pasta), and potato salad are especially highly recommended. We'll definitely be back again and again and again 😊

The food is very good, but we were a bit disappointed with the service. We called because we knew how busy it sometimes gets. On the phone, we were assured that "they would find something for two people." However, no reservations had been made for us. When we arrived 45 minutes later, we were told they could only seat us with two other people. It makes you wonder why you even call ahead.

Absolutely recommended 🥰Service was first-class. We didn't have a reservation and were immediately and kindly shown to a table that was reserved for a later date. We wanted Swabian specialties and got them with homemade spaetzle 😋very tasty and everything went quickly. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive!

Dinner with colleagues was simply very cozy and truly delicious. The schnitzel and fries are highly recommended, and the non-alcoholic summer drinks were also delicious.

We ended up here by chance. Since then, we've been happy to drive the long way because the food is simply amazing. It starts with the salad. Delicious, delicious, delicious: schnitzel, roast... everything tastes amazing. The service is always friendly. Even without a reservation, we've always managed to get a seat.

We were there with the family. We ate, among other things, three cordon bleu. The side salad, fries, and spaetzle were all okay. The three cordon bleu were all the same shape. This suggests they were pre-made and then just thrown into the deep fryer. For €25, I would have expected something better. The service was very friendly, by the way.

Traditional German food, lots of meat. Traditional German atmosphere, lots of beers. Ordered their Swabian Zwiebelrostbraten, roast beef, medium rare, perfect tenderness, paired with probably the best pan fried potatoes I've ever had, perfect combination.

We were placed in the blazing sun, which wasn't a problem at first, except that no one told us that we would have to wait almost two hours for our food. The stay was extremely unpleasant and exhausting at the same time. The food was delicious, no question about it - I just think it's cheeky that they didn't accommodate us despite the waiting time.

We were there for dinner. 5 people had schnitzel with fries. The schnitzels were like they came from a deep fryer and there were fries that filled the entire plate. The plate was completely carelessly made. Most other restaurants have a bit of salad garnish on a plate like this which makes the whole thing more appealing. Maybe it was made so easy because we were pushed into the next room even though we had booked well in advance. The only dish that tasted good was from my daughter-in-law. Onion roast. Me and my other friends who were there will definitely not visit this restaurant again.

If there were 0 stars, I would give them that way! We arrived as a group of 4 with a small child without a reservation. We wanted to sit outside but all the seats were occupied. When we asked if we could sit at a table that hadn't been set yet, the waitress told us we weren't allowed to sit there and that she wouldn't set the table for us. But we could sit at the table with another couple. When we were asked why we weren't allowed to come to this table, the answer was bitchy: "We're short-staffed again, young gentleman." This raises the question for me. What's the difference between sitting at the table with a couple or sitting next to us at the free table where you could only have put cutlery there? Whether she had brought us our drinks and food to the table or to the others it would have been the same. So we waited because we wanted to sit alone. We were promised we would get the next available table. We had already waited 20 minutes and saw that our promised table was empty. So we went and suddenly it was occupied by someone else (with only 2 people) even though we 4+1 had already been waiting for 20 minutes. When we said we would like to sit inside we were told there was no more space inside. I had previously gone to the toilet inside and there were still 7 tables available without a “reserved” sign. So we were sent away after 30 minutes in vain with a small child. Staff totally overwhelmed and unfriendly

So I can't really understand the glowing reviews about the culinary experience. We had a schnitzel with spaetzle and salad and meat cakes with spaetzle. So that was ok, but nothing more. The spaetzle tasted like the ready-cooked ones you get at Aldi. Service was good, atmosphere really appealing. I found music like Ballermann to be too loud. The prices are steep. You probably expect outlet customers.

Six of us ate here and had the schnitzel, the cordon bleu, the onion roast, the meat cakes and the cheese pätzle. All dishes were very tasty and the portions were correspondingly large. A small version of each dish can also be ordered. We'll be back.

Been here for the first time. Unfortunately it wasn't a highlight. I find the food and ambience to be average. Prices too high. And even if many people think it's great, portions that are too large are no longer appropriate, taking leftovers in aluminum foil has a snack charm. And the waiting time was really bad - more than an hour after ordering is simply out of the question. Anyone who wants to play in such a large venue has to be able to deliver. Overall, at best two stars remain in the final rating.

Ambiance and service good. Unfortunately, food is very expensive. Price-performance doesn't fit at all. Extra charge for fried potatoes even though they are just tasteless and mushy. Schnitzel also very bland. But the portion size is generous. Dessert was acceptable. Unfortunately the last visit.

Feasting in the STÜBCHEN says it all! Always very friendly staff and good service! The living room is very cozy in winter (in summer you can enjoy the garden and the hut). You can also come here from Lake Constance!

The food was tasty, but very bland on the plate. There were 12 of us and the first one had finished eating and the last two only got their food. Food quite expensive. Service was courteous, quick and friendly. The ambience was quaint, it was too loud that evening for my taste, which made entertaining difficult.

Not exactly what you imagine by a gourmet restaurant. Business concept should definitely be revised again here. Service staff completely overloaded and unfriendly to the power of ten. We were in the restaurant with six people on a Saturday. The first impression was very positive: the atmosphere was inviting and the ambience was beautifully designed. The waitress was there quickly, took our drink order promptly and served it quickly. However, there was one clear point of criticism when it came to eating: Although we had already pointed out when ordering that the children were very hungry, they had to wait over an hour for their food - even though the restaurant was not very busy at the time. Despite our efforts to distract the children, the long wait became increasingly stressful, which unfortunately marred the entire visit. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about. The food was very tasty, the portions were generous, and we all enjoyed it. If waiting times are optimized in the future, we would definitely like to come back.

We cannot understand the good reviews. There was a sign at the entrance telling you to wait and be picked up. We stood in the cold for 5 minutes even though we were seen. We ordered two dishes from the menu and then saw (10 seconds later, the waitress was still at the table) that there was still dinner available. We then wanted to change the dishes. The waitress (an older, corpulent woman with short, gray hair) informed us that this was lunch time. This was not true, as another waiter later confirmed to us. The waitress blatantly lied to us. The food was absolutely bad. The fries were too salty, the bratwurst was of cheap quality and the tarte flambée was cold. Only the side salad was good. We will definitely not be coming back again.

Very very tasty. Of course, good food also has its price, but we score here with outstanding home-style cuisine. Reservations are recommended here, but the staff always finds a solution for spontaneous guests too... We like to come here every now and then.

We would have liked to eat something. Food looked very tasty and the other guests looked very happy too. Holiday, full house… of course it takes time. Organizing the menu yourself is no problem. Looking at the waiter isn't bad either. After I politely said that we knew what we were going to order, he actually came into our room, chatted at the other tables, didn't look at us, cleared the dishes at the next table and was no longer seen. After another 10 minutes we left. Another recommendation for a great place to eat when you are in Mzingan shopping at Outlet City. I took a flamenco, at the same time for the vegetarian or pork-free lovers - order it in the vegetarian variation. A recommendation for another wonderful vegetarian dish - schupfnudeln Noodles made of potatoes - za gnocchi in the Shawvian variation.

We always order the onion roast with cheese spaetzle and salad, and every time it tastes delicious. Price performance is very good because you really get full to the brim for this price. For the little ones there was schnitzel with fries, and there was also a very large portion of fries.
