Reiskorn - Vietnamese restaurant in Metzingen

Ich habe Essen zur Abholubg bestellt. Der Chef war sehr freundlich, das Essen war frisch und sehr lecker.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen dort. Das Essen war sehr lecker, alle Zutaten frisch. Service war sehr freundlich. Liegt ruhig. Wirklich gerne wieder

Mikrowellen Klang gehört und schon kam das Essen. Ich habe noch nie ein Essen stehen gelassen. Wenn mal etwas nicht so gut war dann trotzdem aus Respekt zum Essen verspeisen und vielleicht dieses Restaurant umgehen aber hier war es tatsächlich ungenießbar - keine Ahnung woher die guten Bewertungen herkommen.

Ehrlich gesagt ich habe bessere PhO Suppe gegessen. Suppe war lecker aber meiner Meinung nach wäre besser wenn man Gemüsen klein geschnitten hätte. Fleisch in der Suppe war zäh. Dumplings waren ganz lecker. Service ist ganz freundlich und schnell.

Selten so schlecht gegessen. Nie wieder! Ich habe keine Ahnung wo die guten Bewertungen herkommen .....Essen völlig geschmacklos, Fleisch trocken, Soßen dünn wie Wasser. Mango hart und ohne Geschmack, Bohnen braun an den Schnittstellen. Wirklich ungenießbar. Viel zu teuer für diesen Fraß.

Ich komme nun schon seit 6 Jahren hierher – mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Metzingen! Familiengeführt, das Essen schmeckt authentisch, und man bekommt immer beste Qualität!

Das Essen war gut aber etwas überteuert. Getränke sind auch nicht billig. Wir haben einen Geburtstag gefeiert und niemand vom Restaurant hat sich gratuliert oder eine Kleinigkeit verschreckt, wie in anderen Restaurants.

Update 2024 Still everything 😋 Very good food, freshly prepared and tasty. Was there for the 4th time and always very satisfied. Also delicious when picked up.

Sehr Netter chef , Koch und Kellner in einem essen wahr auch sehr gut 👍 mit teller Wärmer für das warme Gericht man bekommt Reis und sein essen zum Portionieren auf seinem Teller Portion wahr sehr in ordnung für das Geld .

War heute mit meiner Familie dort - mein Geburtstag. Wir waren insgesamt 8 Personen -4 Erwachsene 4 Kinder. Alles war perfekt. Freundliches Personal und ein sehr leckeres Essen. Ich hatte zuvor über die Homepage des Restaurant reserviert. Hat alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit funktioniert. Vielen Dank

Endlich ein Vietnamese mit authentischer Küche. Tolle Vorspeisen wie Bo La Lot, banh cuon (habe ich in Deutschland noch nie im Restaurant gesehen) und leckere Sommerrollen. Gemütlich urige Stube, und leckere authentische Küche. Was will man mehr?

Ausgesprochen lecker. Mittagstisch auch am Samstag! Übersichtliche Speisekarte ohne Gedöns. Aufmerksamer Service. Da komme ich gerne wieder! Klar, das Gebäude könnte eine Renovierung vertragen, aber das müsste ja erwirtschaftet werden. Wer daran herummäkelt kann ja gerne mal entsprechende Preise bezahlen. Ich finde Preis/Leistung 1A!

I'm Vietnamese myself. I highly recommend it. Surprisingly very authentic, the rice cake was especially delicious.

The ambiance at Reiskorn was generally clean, however, a strong chlorine smell, reminiscent of a swimming pool, was bothersome! The menu was far too large and confusingly laid out, making it difficult to choose. Unfortunately, my vegetarian dish was served incorrectly – it contained chicken instead of tofu. The vegetables were overcooked, and the coconut sauce had an unpleasantly sour taste. The sometimes very positive reviews are a real mystery to us. It was also noticeable that a table with alcoholic beverages was freely accessible, marked with a sign that read "Drink as much as you want and can," which I find rather inappropriate in a restaurant. Overall, the visit did not meet our expectations.

We've eaten at Reiskorn many times and have tried various dishes and appetizers. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. The service is very attentive and friendly, and booking a table online is quick and easy. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice vegan options, fresh food combined with friendly service and nice ambience music. Everything was clean and wait time for meals were not too long. Definitely recommendable.

Edit 5/12/2025: After having to eat here again last month for a family celebration—despite my reservations—and with a few "Vietnam newbies" in the group, my review is *slightly* better this time. I'm revising my original three-star rating upwards by one star because the consensus in the group was that the food was "okay" and "good," even though I personally still believe that the food at this restaurant isn't worth the money and is simply too expensive. Yes, energy crisis, yes, more expensive raw materials, yes, inflation, BUT a small but excellent Vietnamese snack bar in Reutlingen also offers me excellent Vietnamese food at significantly lower prices, and the taste of this place can't compare. (If you want to know which snack bar I mean, just Google "Vietnam snack bar Reutlingen"—it's the top-rated result.) Since we had a wide variety of dishes and I was able to try them all, it became clear to me that some dishes were definitely better prepared, while others were simply bland and lacked any real flavor. I found the beef dishes rather dull, but the chicken and fish dishes with mango or peanuts were much more varied. Ultimately, as is so often the case, it comes down to personal taste, and just because I, as a fairly experienced Asian food eater, didn't particularly enjoy the dishes doesn't mean the food here is bad. It's just not my cup of tea. Previous review: Well, how does one give a fair and unbiased review? As a European who has never been to Vietnam, I can only compare it to other Vietnamese restaurants in Germany, and here, the rice grain doesn't fare well. The food was bland across the board. There were six of us, and we had a wide selection of dishes, including fried noodles, curries, and mixed seafood such as cuttlefish, salmon, and king prawns. While there was nothing wrong with the vegetables, all the dishes tended to taste salty and sweet. There was hardly any of the wide variety of fresh coriander, tamarind, or even limegrass, which was a real shame. Only the beef soup with rice noodles was rich and hearty, as it should be, and the bao bao steamers were also very good. However, with a total bill of almost €180, it unfortunately left a... well... bland aftertaste, quite literally. The extremely long wait – in an almost empty restaurant – didn't help matters, so I can only give it a disappointed three stars. I doubt we'll ever come back. This was only my second time, and I think I've had enough. If there were no decent alternatives in the entire Metzingen/Reutlingen/Tübingen area, then okay, but since there are more than enough good Thai and Vietnamese restaurants...thanks, no.

I'm so grateful to have discovered this Vietnamese restaurant. I never drive through Metzingen without stopping here. The food is incredibly delicious and prepared with love. I highly recommend it! The owner is also a very welcoming host. There's also free customer parking. 11/29/2025

I ordered food to go late on a holiday. I was not expecting much but the food turned out to be super tasty. The quantity is good too. On my way out the boss took time to help me with packing the food on my bike. It was a very kind gesture. I would return again.

Free appetizer with dinner. The spring rolls are good, and the summer rolls are also delicious. The peanut sauce is very good; I haven't had anything like it anywhere else. We ordered rice dishes with chicken and crispy duck, one with soy sauce and the rest with oyster sauce and lemongrass. Everything was delicious! And the portions are generous, too! Excellent value for money! The service is also good. We will always come here when we're in the area.

We were there on Friday afternoon, but even though the opening hours are posted everywhere (Google, website, and on the entrance door!), it was closed. There was no sign indicating they were open for business or anything like that. We won't be coming again if we can't rely on whether the place is open or not.

Awesome. There's nothing more to say. 5 out of 5. You just take the ambience as it is.

Good Vietnamese cuisine, friendly service.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Metzingen Outlet. We drove there; it would have been too long to walk from the outlet. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We really enjoyed it, and the lunch specials are great value for money. The service was very attentive. Only the chairs outside could be a bit more comfortable. We would come back anytime.

After visiting Metzingen Outlet City, we were looking for a good restaurant, and Vietnamese food immediately caught our eye. We received a very warm welcome and extremely friendly service. The selection is very extensive, with something for everyone, and you're spoiled for choice. You can easily pass the time until dinner by enjoying an aperitif at the in-house bar. A truly nice gesture 🤲 The food is truly fantastic, tastefully presented and truly delicious, with generous portions. We were completely satisfied and would gladly return ☺️

We go there to eat every time we are in Metzingen. It is super tasty and authentic. The boss is really nice and polite and his wife is in the kitchen.

Food was tasty. However, I was a bit surprised to see that the lunch menu was small. I’ll have to come back to look at the dinner menu. The owner also gave us free homemade tea to digest the food.

Medium sized restaurant located in a residential area. You should find parking spaces on the street. The food is delicious and the menu offers enough choice. The boss is nice. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned German (oak rustic). We are happy to recommend it and will come back. Addendum August 2nd, 2024: after several years of regular visits, I always find delicious food here and am served very well. Definitely suitable for vegetarians and I'm increasing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Any time!

I am Vietnamese myself and have always missed a good, authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Metzingen. Now it's finally here! The selection of dishes is great. There are dishes that you would otherwise only get in Viet metropolises like Berlin, they taste great and the staff is friendly throughout. We felt at home and will be back!

Food was horrendous my dish the beef pepper was inedible my partners dish the tofu with peanut sauce was slightly edible. Have left with a horrible taste.. our server was super nice but sadly the food wasn't

Cozy delicious Vietnamese restaurant

We met for a meal among colleagues. I was already familiar with the restaurant and had been there before. The dishes are very fine and are absolutely not a mass-produced product. You can taste the fine spices and notice that the cooking here is done with passion. It is highly recommended and anyone who likes Asian cuisine should reserve a place here. The boss or the waiter takes a bit of getting used to, as he appears rather strict. Maybe that's just his style. The menu is also very extensive, you can always find something that appeals to you. I/we will definitely go there again. 4 stars because the boss was a bit strange and the good mood suffered a bit as a result. But that's not really the point... Food was great👍
