On April 6, 2025, we had the pleasure of being served by a truly exceptional waiter. From the first moment the service was attentive, warm and professional. You immediately notice that someone with experience is at work here - the calm charisma, confident demeanor and attention to detail speak for a past in upscale gastronomy. Unobtrusive, but always there, he accompanied the evening perfectly for us. This is exactly how you imagine excellent service – stylish, genuine and pleasantly reserved. Unfortunately, in addition to the delicious food, what remains in the memory of the evening is the very long waiting time. We had to wait over an hour for our food after ordering. At the same time, the table that arrived half an hour after us received the dishes much earlier. The very polite waiter apologized several times for this, the other staff and the boss took note of it, but did not go into it any further or moderate it. Overall, there also seems to be dissatisfaction within the staff, as our waiter was sometimes very rudely directed around and reprimanded by his colleagues. It's bad when the guests notice something like that.

We went to Schinkenpeter for the first time for a big family celebration. Our conclusion: We were initially impressed by the friendliness of all the employees and the tolerance towards the numerous small children. Despite the certainly high level of stress, we were always asked about our wishes and these were quickly taken into account in a very courteous manner. The food was very good Bavarian home cooking with very large portions. We will definitely be happy to come back.

It's best to reserve! Super quaint Bavarian restaurant. Lots of wood inside, lots of decorations and fresh flowers everywhere. Very nice and attentive staff. We had pancake soup, roast pork and cheese spaetzle. Everything was very tasty and no need for additional seasoning. Here you can feel comfortable and eat well. Highly recommended. In summer you can sit in the great beer garden.

The last time I was there was about 25 years ago and it was perfect and the quality of the food and service hasn't changed in any negative way. You can relax completely and know what you are getting for your money.

The two of us went to Ham Peter on a Saturday afternoon at the beginning of February following a recommendation from friends. We were seated in a friendly manner, but then unfortunately things became uncomfortable. Apparently the service staff was taking a break at the time, but unfortunately it was right at a table nearby. There was loud discussion without any consideration for the guests present. No cozy meal for two, and we didn't ask for drinks because no one was taking care of us anymore. Meanwhile, we unfortunately had to watch at the bar across the street as the barmaid and waitress treated themselves to schnapps several times in front of us, which we found very unpleasant. The ambience was therefore absolutely subterranean, at least we enjoyed the food, but unfortunately we wouldn't come back again or recommend the place to others.

Everything was tip-top, from the food to the service and the prior arrangement for our company event.

It's been 20 years since we last went to Schinkenpeter. By chance we were there again on Saturday. What can I say, everything is just right there!!! The food was perfect, someone knows what they are doing!! Kudos to the kitchen! The service is super friendly and really quick, you feel totally at home and you really can't complain about the prices. From now on you have new regular guests again and we are already looking forward to your next visit. Keep it up, you're just great!!!

Aufgrund einer Empfehlung der SZ sind wir auf den Schinken-Peter aufmerksam geworden. Die Bewertungen und die aktuelle Speisekarte lasen sich sehr gut, also haben wir für einen Freitagabend reserviert. Als wir eintrafen kam uns das Lokal irgendwie bekannt vor. Und tatsächlich in 2018 hatten wir es das letzte Mal besucht. Ich wählten den Zwiebelrostbraten (medium) für 29.90€ sowie einen kleinen Beilagensalat zu 6€. Der Service war überaus freundlich und aufmerksam. Dafür ein dickes Lob. Das Essen konnte leider nicht überzeugen. Der Beilagensalat schwamm im Dressing und es war auch recht wenig Blattsalat drauf. Dafür dicke Salatgurkenscheiben, die ich leider nicht esse. Zudem dick geschnittener Lauch, der ebenfalls nicht zum Essen einlud. Besser wäre gewesen, das Dressing kurz vor dem servieren auf den Salat zu gegeben. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war leider eine totale Enttäuschung. Viele zu dünn, unter 1 cm Dicke. Dadurch war er an vielen Stellen total durchgebraten und das Fleisch schon sehr hell und trocken. Die Bratkartoffel waren zum grössten Teil verbrannt, sehr fettig und nur wenige Scheiben geniessbar. Meine Frau hatte mit ihrem Hauptgericht, Kalbfleischpflanzerl, mehr Glück. Der Kaiserrschmarn zum Abschluss war recht gut, so dass ich auf 3 Punkte anheben kann. Ich werde nicht mehr wiederkommen.

A complete disappointment. Even the ordering process was poor, as the waiter took the menus without actually taking our order. The food took forever, and the table next to us, which arrived later, had already eaten a salad and half their main course by the time it was our turn. The burger was good, but the fries left a lot to be desired. The roast pork portion was also rather mediocre. Overall, the service was disappointing, and the ambiance was rather average. The value for money is poor, and the experience doesn't match the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

Today was the first time I ate at Schinken-Peter. I received a very friendly welcome and the service staff were very friendly and attentive. Wir waren an einem Freitagabend vor Ort. Als wir auf das Lokal zuliefen, erinnerten wir uns, dass es nicht das erste Mal war. Und tatsächlich habe ich hier im Oktober 2018 bereits eine Bewertung verfasst. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und nach rechts in eine Stube geleitet. Dort bekamen wir einen separaten Tisch, was sehr gut war. Es fand leider zur gleichen Zeit noch eine verspätete Weihnachtsfeier statt, die gerade ausuferte. Es kamen allein innerhalb von 20 Minuten mind. 4 Schnapsrunden, obwohl der Alkoholpegel sich schon sehr lautstark bemerkbar machte. Es gibt täglich eine neue Karte, wobei sich allerdings ein paar Speisen mehrere Tage wiederfinden, sowie eine Standardkarte. Ich hatte mich schon im Vorfeld schwer getan, entschied mich letztendlich gegen meine Leibspeise und orderte hausgemachte Kalbfleisch-Pflanzerl mit Kräuterrahmsoße, rahmigem Kartoffelpüree und geschmorten Kürbiswürfel (21,80 Euro). Nach gut 20 Minuten wurden die Speisen serviert. Das Gericht wurde auf einem modernen Teller gebracht. Das Püree war reichlich, sehr lecker und cremig. Von der Konsistenz genau richtig. Die beiden Pflanzerl waren gut, aber etwas fest und hätten gern einen größeren Fleischanteil haben können. Die Kürbiswürfel waren etwas groß geraten, leicht gebräunt und gut weich. Die Soße hatte eine sehr gute Konsistent. Ich persönlich hätte nicht so viel davon gebraucht, aber das ist Geschmacksache. Obwohl wir danach noch einen Kaiserschmarrn (13,90 Euro) orderten, wurde der Teller brav leer geputzt. Interessanterweise dauerte der Schmarrn nicht wie auf der Karte angedeutet 20-30 Minuten, sondern nur knapp 15. Das Dessert wurde in einer Pfanne auf einem Brett serviert. Dazu gab es Vanilleeis und Apfelmus. Die Konsistenz war perfekt, schön fluffig, leicht karamellisiert. Insgesamt aber etwas zu süß und leider ohne Rosinen. Das keine Mandelsplitter dabei waren, störte mich weniger. Der Service war die ganze Zeit sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zugewandt. Es gab Stoffservietten mit einer integrierten Papierserviette, gute Idee. Das stille Wasser war mit 6,90 Euro für Münchner Verhältnisse noch relativ gut bepreist. Da mein Mann mit seiner Wahl eher unglücklich war, werden wir kein drittes Mal hier speisen. Schade.

An all-round successful evening. First we were greeted personally and the birthday child was congratulated. At the table we were once again congratulated by the extremely friendly service. You always check on the guest, notice the slightest request, ask if everything is okay. There was singing (Happy Birthday) and a dream fountain was lit. Accompanied by delicious short drinks. I know Munich but this place was missing from my list and I was pleasantly surprised. Typical Bavarian restaurant with particular and authentic decoration elements. Fast and impeccable service, typical dishes, tasty and plentiful! Delicious beer served, some types, in typical Bavarian mugs. A very pleasant experience that I want to repeat in the summer because the place has a welcoming and pleasant garden. Highly recommended for couples, team buildings and families!

We were here on a Saturday evening, making a reservation in advance was definitely a good idea. The food was (almost) perfect. Soup was delicious, everyone really enjoyed the main courses, and the portions were also really big. Only the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert didn't convince us 100%. (But that might just be a matter of taste). Service was super friendly and quick. We'll definitely be back!

I have never seen or experienced such insolence as the manager of the restaurant. I wonder where he gets the right to speak to the customer like that. Christmas party work. The reservation was for 14 people and we were one person less, which led to the boss complaining in an impossible tone and with an inappropriate strength about why we didn't give notice in time and he could have made all the seats free According to his statement, he doesn't care!!!! I will never go to this store again and in the future the Christmas party with the job will be held in other restaurants!!!! Fortunately!!!

An absolute disappointment – ​​never again! Anyone who values ​​a pleasant atmosphere and respectful treatment should give the Schicken Peter restaurant a wide berth. The boss, Markus, is a prime example of rudeness and bad behavior. As soon as you make the reservation, you quickly notice that the focus here is not on the customer, but on the whims of the operator. We had made reservations for several people, but when someone canceled at short notice, the boss got completely out of control. Instead of dealing with the situation professionally, we were shouted at loudly and treated like troublemakers. Such behavior is simply unacceptable. The food? Unfortunately just as disappointing as the service. The dishes taste bland, bland and of poor quality – like they came from the freezer. For the inflated prices you expect at least a minimum of taste and freshness, but here you are bitterly disappointed. Conclusion: Send Peter is a prime example of how to scare off customers. A rude management, an overpriced and poor-tasting menu – an absolute no-go. There are so many better restaurants where you are valued as a guest. We will definitely not return here.

Went to a Christmas party here today. The beer garden was very lit up for Christmas and the interiors are very nicely decorated. The service was quick, very attentive and really friendly. I had 1/2 duck 🦆 and I have to say it was super tasty and was quite a portion. The side dishes were potato dumplings and red cabbage with plenty of sauce. The restaurant was full. I think you should reserve here if you want to get a table easily. I can also easily imagine a visit in the summer. It was a very nice evening.

Were here at Christmas time (not this year). I chose the ham peter when relatives came from Brazil. It's a little outside of most restaurants but you can't miss it. With the right snow it was a really nice experience for them. Lots of Christmas decorations (too much for me personally), cozy, warm atmosphere and typical Bavarian hospitality. The service was on point, but very friendly and accurate, despite being busy. There were 5 of us in the Valeppstuben. There was an error during the reservation, which was resolved to our satisfaction. The food came quickly and was good so far. The warm starters and desserts were particularly impressive Two of the main courses have potential for improvement. My venison goulash was too rubbery for me and the sauce was too wine-heavy. Someone else was also a little disappointed. Not all vegetables were fresh. Portions are large and prices are good (before inflation). The menu is only in German, I expect at least English in Munich. All in all a successful, lovely evening.

Three Christmas parties at the same time are obviously too much at once. The food was ok, but took forever. Also only lukewarm and the meat is dry. The waitresses are reasonably friendly, but they don't seek criticism from themselves but rather from the customers. Deviations from the specially prepared Christmas party menu are not possible. I found the prices to be very steep for a Christmas party with many guests. I'm not coming anymore.

Good Bavarian restaurant with a nice garden in Giesing. The rustic ambience, which seems a bit fake to me, is made up for by the good price-performance ratio. Kaiserschmarrn and Käsespätzle tasted good and, at just over 10 euros, were a real bargain by Munich standards. It's not the Munich bourgeoisie who come here, but rather the Giesingen neighborhood.
