We didn't eat here, so I can't say anything about it, ambience, service and coffee were very good

The food was very tasty, but the portion sizes weren't cheap at all. I ordered the siş kebab and got a huge plate, but with a small portion of rice and two tiny skewers of meat.

We couldn’t even try the food because the service was absolutely terrible. We waited for 40 minutes and still hadn’t received anything, so we ended up canceling our order. The restaurant wasn’t even full, so I can’t understand why it took so long. The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because they at least didn’t charge for the ayran. Otherwise, this was a total disappointment.

We had reserved a table specifically for this occasion and were looking forward to the Turkish cuisine. Initially, we were given a nice table by the window upon request. When we were seated, another employee told us we couldn't sit there because it was reserved. We then went upstairs. During the entire time, no group or family came to the table! We were served upstairs until the food was ready, after which we were allowed to sit. A special request was not fulfilled. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't typically Turkish. We were very annoyed by the behavior and will therefore not be returning.

Slightly overwhelmed or not enough staff. We had to wait half an hour for the memory card. We only had a hot chocolate, which was surprisingly quick. However, it was cocoa, not a proper hot chocolate. We asked for the bill straight away and were told to wait a moment, it would be right there. However, it also took 20 minutes for us to pay.

Very nice Turkish restaurant. The service and food were very tasty and good. Excellent value for money.

We went to Schiller for breakfast on Mother's Day and we were absolutely thrilled. Friendly service and excellent service, great ambience and incredibly delicious food. We felt like we were on vacation. We would be happy to come here again.

We had a wonderful iftar at this lovely Turkish restaurant. They kindly brought us dates to break our fast, and tea was offered on the house. The soup was absolutely delicious, and the pide with diced meat (kuşbaşı) was full of flavor and perfectly baked. A heartfelt thank you to the owner for their warm hospitality and kindness. We truly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful service.

Very tasty Turkish restaurant in Leipzig. The name of the restaurant "Schiller" actually doesn't fit the Turkish restaurant. Didn't have any alcoholic drinks but it didn't bother me. Otherwise highly recommended. Always my pleasure

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. We had reserved and when we arrived all the seats downstairs were occupied or not yet cleared. We can sit somewhere. We're up. Food came quickly. After that we didn't let ourselves be seen any further up; we had to go down again when we wanted to have a drink. We had breakfast for 2 - there were three of us and we expanded it to include one person. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Turkish cuisine offers much more than what we got. Too much “German” there and I could have gone somewhere else. The bread could also be served a bit was. So to speak, it was just ok but not enough to come back again. It's a shame because Turkish cuisine is really delicious

Since authentic Turkish cuisine is rather rare in Saxony, a clear vote for a visit here. Very tasty and lovingly prepared. The cakes are a hit!! You can also take it with you if you can't eat anything after the rich meal 😀

Nice, centrally located café (near tram stops, city center). Tasty breakfast and good coffee are served. Nice ambience - especially if you find space in the upper part with a view of the outside and the lower part of the café/restaurant. I'd love to come by again when I'm in Leipzig 🙃

Conclusion: Disaster, I won't be coming back. Why? We had reserved for 5 people and got a table for four. The waiter didn't help add another seat to the table or put tables together. Also, the floor upstairs was so dirty - there were a lot of crumbs and leftover food on the floor and I really wonder when the last time the floor saw a broom. There were also a lot of crumbs on the chairs. When I told the waiter this, he put them down with his hand (so much for the leftover food on the floor) and then said: "The rest are holes". The menus brought were in poor condition, the pages were folded and some were torn. Because of this, you sometimes couldn't read the food and drinks listed and had to share the only menu that was in good condition. After ordering, the waitress brought the drinks without saying a word, didn't ask who ordered what, but simply placed the drinks on the table. Unfortunately I don't think that's a service. Unfortunately, there was no feel-good atmosphere after all of this. I can't make any recommendations here and would rather advise anyone who is thinking about going to Schiller to go a few steps further to another location.

Quite ok in itself. Unfortunately, conceptually completely confused. You only meet Friedrich Schiller in his name and that gives the wrong impression. Anyone expecting a fine cafe in Vienna's city center will be disappointed when they read the Turkish menu. Everything just doesn't fit together. The cake selection is quite ok. Unfortunately, the staff is not trained in gastronomy. You have to keep calling, otherwise unfortunately not much happens (at least when it's full). Linguistically, it can also be a challenge at times. Conclusion: Well...

We have been regular customers here for years and are treated very friendly and courteously. Although one dish was removed from the menu, it was prepared for us every time as a gesture of goodwill and in a very nice manner. Of course it tastes twice as delicious! Always happy to come here!

Super friendly staff, good coffee and cake

I discovered this place while researching on Google Maps to see where and what I could eat before going from Berlin to Leipzig. Today, on December 28, 2024, I had the opportunity to go. The salads and especially the lentil soup were really delicious. Many thanks to Hasan Bey, who took care of me, as well as all the employees and everyone who contributed.

I missed Goetheglatzen and Sturmsaecke here. The poppy seed cake and apple tea was good. The price-performance ratio is ok.

A Turkish place we came across by chance while touring in Leipzig. The atmosphere is nice, the welcome is nice, the taste is good. The menu is extensive.

After all, this restaurant understands quality! Hats off to you for kicking out the ongoing green crap! Definitely on my list for future visits!

We made a stop here on our city tour through Leipzig + got a table on the gallery - the ambience makes a stylish impression - the service staff was nice + also took the time to explain to us something about the Turkish coffee - cake/baklava as well Coffee/tea were delicious - price/performance was perfectly fine

The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was simply fantastic! The choice of dishes was varied, and everything I tried was freshly prepared and full of flavor. The desserts, especially the baklava, were a real treat! I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience delicious Turkish cuisine.

Were here for afternoon coffee and cake. Unfortunately, the Oreo cake only tasted like coconut and the pistachio chocolate cake tasted like nothing. Unfortunately, the pieces of cake did not do justice to the nice ambience and the friendly service team. The restaurant/café is said to be very good for "normal" lunch or dinner dishes or baklava, but we didn't try them.

Very good and popular restaurant with authentic cuisine and very friendly service. We had a great evening here with delicious Turkish food away from kebabs etc. If there is something to criticize, it is the somewhat cramped space - but perhaps that is simply due to the popularity of the restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, I have to say that the pistachio chocolate cake did not meet my expectations at all. I didn't taste any pistachio and there was no chocolate either. The cream on the cake was much too sweet and thick.

Only good option at the city center to eat some Turkish. They have also special dish of the day like traditional bamya, mantı etc.

The food looks good, but I can't speak of high quality in terms of taste. The Künefe in particular was very bad, the edges were burnt, there was way too much syrup, the butter and cheese were really of poor quality, and unfortunately the pistachios on it were fake.

Very friendly ambiance for friends/family or by yourself, good food and represents the turkish cuisine variety well. I recommend any dish containing meat as it is cooked well and they make it with good combos of rice/burghul and vegetables.

All in all the food was ok. However, the price is too high for its quantity and quality. Unfortunately no recommendation for the restaurant, but perhaps as a café with coffee and cake!

A really great restaurant, the food was very tasty, especially the Künefe! Our little extra request for a mixed starter platter was also possible without any problems. Price-performance ratio is very good.

Oh well . The pizza had a frozen character, the chicken was fried and dry. I would like to warmly recommend the Schiller Restaurant in Leipzig! It is an exceptional place that serves delicious Italian-Turkish cuisine. All dishes are prepared with heart and taste excellent. You won't find better pastries in the whole city, it's so delicious it's simply unbelievable.

Very tasty Turkish breakfast, good coffee and a nice selection. Friendly service. I will go again next time I visit Leipzig. However, there is a star deduction for the sometimes very long waiting times (despite fewer guests) and the somewhat unkempt toilets.

You could dismiss it as a simple café, but that would be a gross understatement. This Turkish restaurant is absolutely top class. It is particularly busy at lunchtime, which speaks for the quality of the food. The shady outdoor area offers a pleasant atmosphere and the service is excellent. A particular highlight is the lentil soup, which is said to be made according to a traditional recipe from the owner's grandmother. Whether this is true or not, the taste of this soup is an absolute insider tip and should definitely be tried. A visit is worth it in every respect.

Delicious breakfasts: omelettes and all sorts of different eggs. Fresh pita bread and real Turkish tea - very tasty! Nice atmosphere, beautiful interior and very nice staff.

I was very impressed by the friendly service. The food, especially the Schiller, tastes very good. The dessert Sütlaç was also highly recommended. The prices are also not that high. The new design of the store also looks very good.
