I was at Schellkes-Gotzen for the first time today, my parents were bowling there at the time and the menu that was recently displayed outside recently made me curious and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The ambience itself is rustic, cozy and clean. The tables are sufficiently large. The service was super friendly and quick :) The menu surprised me because it is really big. I think there are 50 different creations of schnitzel dishes there alone. I also think they're funny and unusual. There are also several smaller dishes. I'll attach the current menu right away. The food came quickly and the portion size was decent. I had a cream schnitzel with mushrooms, my mother had a schnitzel with chanterelles in a small portion. I'll add pictures of this too. The food was really delicious, there's nothing to say about it, they really loved the schnitzel, the fries were deliciously crispy, the side salad, here coleslaw, was also super tasty. The only thing I complained about or gave as a suggestion for improvement was the mushrooms. If they had still been fresh, the meal would have been 1 with an asterisk. But the pickled mushrooms are also okay. We will definitely go here again. The restaurant also offers a lunch menu, which could certainly be of interest to some. You can get a card in the restaurant. Gutbürgerliches Lokal mit rustikaler Küche und einer guten Kegelbahn. Wird auf Grund großer Räumlichkeiten und der Nähe zum Friedhof gerne für ein Frühstück nach einer Beerdigung genutzt.

Tolles Restaurant, zwar von der Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen und schwerpunktmäßig deutsche Küche. Diese aber top, mit die besten Schnitzel im Mönchengladbach. Sehr zivile Preise und freundlicher Service. Für ein Schnitzel oder ähnliches lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall. Sehr zu empfehlen

Sehr schöne Kneipe mit den besten Schnitzeln in sämtlichen Variationen. Echt empfehlenswert!!! Heute nochmal dort gewesen . Zigeunerschnitzel bestellt . Leider sehr sehr salzig. Die souce schmeckte irgendwie nach Eimerwahre und nicht wie selbstgemacht. Die Gullarschsuppe schmecke wie Suppe aus der Dose und die Champions wie Champions aus Konserven. Schade... Aus diesem Abend hatte ich mir mehr versprochen. Der Service war sehr nett und der Preis war auch okay..

Eine super schöne Deutsche Kneipe mit bomben Essen und Kegelbahn.

Essen war gut, Portionen in Rentnergröße aber für den Preis ganz okay. Jedes Schnitzelgericht für 12,-€. D.h. Schnitzel, Soße und Nudeln oder Kartoffeln (Ecken, Fritten, Kroketten o.ä.) Überwiegend Convenience Food.

Sehr nettes ruhiges Lokal. Hoffentlich noch lange.
