Nicht schlecht auf der Alm, man kann was trinken und essen und eine gute Aussicht genießen.

Schönes Restaurant mit toller Aussicht und wirklich leckerem Essen. Die Bedienungen waren an sich ganz freundlich, wirkten aber ab und an etwas überfordert und genervt. Das könnte auch an den vielen Besuchern gelegen haben an diesem sonnigen Sonntag. Trotzdem können wir das Restaurant empfehlen und komme gerne wieder.

Die Atmosphäre ist traumhaft, warm und wunderschön, besonders drinnen. Das Essen ist sehr gut und reichlich.

Schöner Ausflugsort gutes Essen klasse Bedienung

Heute mit einer größeren Gesellschaft dort. Das Essen war suuper lecker;wir hatten Spinatknödel mit Salat. Die Bedienungen waren aufmerksam und schnell.eine sehr schöne Erfahrung war auch das Ambiente.Wir werden bald nochmal kommen!! Es lohnt sich!

Sehr schöne Umgebung das Lokal lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen war reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft. Die Bedienung ist nett und fragt nach ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Top Lage Kommt " echtes Almgefühl" in 500m Höhe zu jeder Jahreszeit auf. Auch Super- Biergarten Atmosphäre... Würde sagen passt! Essen kann ich leider nicht beurteilen..

Sehr nettes Personal, Essen dauerte zwar etwas länger, aber dafür schmeckt es besser als voriges Jahr als wir dort gegessen haben.

Laut Bedinung gibt es keinen koffeinfreien Kaffee, was ich für eine solche Location unmöglich finde!!!!

Absolut freundlicher, zuvorkommender Service, Sonderwünsche (leicht zugänglicher, ruhig gelegener Tisch, kleine Portion für Senioren) wurden beachtet und problemlos berücksichtigt Das Essen war lecker, die Portionsgröße absolut ausreichend - beim Kuchen sogar schon fast zu groß. Allerdings hätte die Currywurst besser gebraten sein können. Hier merkt man, dass "auf Masse" vorbereitet wird, damit das Essen schnell rausgehen kann. Die Anruchteweise des Beilagensalats in Weckgläsern ist zwar zwar schön fürs Auge und mal was anderes, zum Essen allerdings unpraktisch, da man den Salat nicht richtig mischen kann, um die Salatsoße zu verteilen und ihn auch schlecht aus dem Weckglas raus bekommt. Vielleicht das Weckglas einfach auf einem kleinen Salatteller servieren, damit man es darauf asukippen kann. Bedeutet aber natürlich wieder mehr Geschirr & Arbeit für den Service sowie weniger Platz am Tisch.

Obwohl die Alm ausgebucht war wurde kein Gast abgewiesen. Der Service war wie immer sehr freundlich und hatte alles im Griff. Ein sehr schönes Ausflugs Lokal. Komme gerne wieder. Gruß Dietmar

We were there yesterday in heavy snow and were well looked after; there was plenty of choice for both adults and children.

Great restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was friendly!

I've eaten at the Schaumberg Alm several times and have generally been satisfied. The ambiance is truly lovely, and the service has always been friendly. However, several things struck me as negative during our visit today. While the peppermint tea was made with fresh mint, there was such a small amount that I had to ask for an extra bag. I found that disappointing. We arrived around 5:30 p.m., yet the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) was already sold out. I understand that it's busy on weekends, but it was Tuesday, and not yet late. In my opinion, they could easily have made more, especially since fresh batter is relatively quick to prepare. The beef soup, unfortunately, consisted almost entirely of broth and contained very few slices of pancake and no promised vegetables. That was disappointing. I had a similar experience with the apple strudel, which is no longer served with vanilla sauce and also seemed significantly smaller than before. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously. Under these circumstances, however, we will not be returning for the time being.

This is actually my favorite restaurant in Saarland because of the Schaumberg mountain and the cozy mountain hut atmosphere. However, I find it really disappointing that the price of Kaiserschmarrn has increased so much, even though the VAT has decreased. Unfortunately, I'll be eating there less often now. Please don't take this as criticism, but rather as helpful feedback to perhaps make some changes if possible.

We've been to the Schaumberg Alm several times. The staff is always very friendly, even when it's busy. Most recently, I had the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), which were delicious, along with the side salad with its really nice dressing. My husband has had the boiled beef twice now, and the meat was incredibly tender each time. I've also had the fried fish, which was also delicious with the potato salad. We'll definitely be back again.

Packed house, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. And the house beer tastes wonderful. We'll gladly come again.

I celebrated my birthday in the "green salon" of the Alm. A fantastic party in a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food and excellent service. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful celebration there with 30 people. The staff was very friendly, polite, and unobtrusive, but always available to take orders. A huge compliment on your excellent service! The food was truly superb. The beef soup with pancake strips, vegetable brunoise, and beef cubes had a wonderfully fresh taste, unlike anything I've ever experienced in a casual restaurant. The fresh potato pancakes (NOT frozen) were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The French fries were crispy and piping hot for all 25 of our guests. The schnitzels had the typical bubbly breading and were very juicy and delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn with plum compote and applesauce is highly recommended. I also had the Bienenstich cake, which was one of the best I've ever eaten.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing, even though we had already recommended the Schaumbergalm to friends. My portion was far too small. When I told the server, she asked if she could bring me something so I could feel full. She suggested Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake)... I was initially relieved that they were trying to resolve the issue. Then I noticed that the Kaiserschmarrn was listed on the bill for €15. :( On top of that, I sat at the table for about 40 minutes with an empty glass, even though the restaurant wasn't exactly packed. What a shame, it was a disappointing evening.

Cozy alpine hut with very delicious food and very friendly service

The food was excellent. Freshly prepared and we booked well in advance. We had schnitzel with fries. This level of quality isn't always a given these days. The service was also superb. Always friendly and efficient. We'd gladly come back. Top-notch.

A beautiful ambiance; the interior design is fantastic, especially during the Christmas season. The food is absolutely delicious. It's always busy, so it's a good idea to reserve in advance. The staff is incredibly friendly and comes to the table quickly to take your order. They also check in throughout the meal to make sure everything is alright. It wasn't my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last. Highly recommended. The view is also breathtaking.

Wie immer ein tolles Ambiente, wunderschön weihnachtlich geschmückt 🎄 leckeres und super schnelles Essen, sehr aufmerksame Bedienung, auch an die Kids wurde gedacht, es wurde direkt was zum malen gebracht. Das finden wir als Eltern ganz toll. Noch fantastischer wäre ein kleine Spielecke, wo die Kids auch mal ausweichen könnten, aber wir kommen auch ohne immer wieder gerne zu euch!

Everything was great, fantastic hiking and biking trails, and then a side trip to the alpine pasture. It's really worth it.

A beautifully situated restaurant on the Schaumberg mountain with a fantastic view. The ambiance is invitingly rustic, almost like being in a Tyrolean mountain hut. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. The schnitzel and goulash were tender and well-seasoned. The appetizer platters were also particularly appealing. We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas party in these premises.

Worth a trip. Especially recommended in summer for the live music. Enjoy a beer 🍺 in the beer garden with a view.

The price is reasonable for the quality. The dining room is a bit dark. I prefer the green room.

Essen sehr gut, bis auf den Beilagensalat der ist viel zu sauer, selbst mit einer Essig/Öl einen Joghurtdressing bevorzugen würde könnte man diesen auswählen. Ansonsten hatten wir auf der Alm einen wunderschönen Abend verbracht.

We stopped by briefly for lunch, for a meeting. It was rustic and charming, with very friendly service. The coffee and snacks were excellent. We'll definitely visit again next time. The view from there is beautiful.

We were at the Alm last night. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The Schaumberg Alm musicians provided excellent brass band entertainment. Anyone who enjoys good food and great brass band music will be in good hands here. (The only downside: the band only plays on the first Wednesday of the month.)

New brooms sweep clean… After a guaranteed 20-25 visits, the latest one was also the last for now. Why? The reduction of the old menu is manageable if you don't absolutely need the Alm Bowl. Raising prices while simultaneously reducing portion sizes is no longer acceptable. Ideally, the price of the farmer's salad will be a good example.

The food is fine, the portions have become smaller and now a new menu and then immediately more expensive, now the prices are like in the restaurant then you can also eat otherwise, staff consistently friendly

The food was delicious and generously portioned. Salt and pepper on the table would have been nice. Hot food served all day. Service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was excellent, quite unexpected for this location.

Such a lovely place to linger, a real holiday feeling 😍 The food is themed and very, very delicious. A highlight for me is the Alpine Bowl and the Kaiserschmarrn 😋

We were at the Schaumburg Alm with seven people and enjoyed a variety of drinks and food. The schnitzel was great, as were the spaetzle - the fried potatoes weren't so good, the fries were okay, and the portions were a bit small for larger eaters.

Wir hatten zum Glück den Tsich früh und es war noch nicht so viel los. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Als es voller wurde, war der Lärmpegel allerdings schnell ziemlich hoch. Mit meinem Essen war ich nicht zufrieden. Ich hatte Omas Backfisch. Für den Preis war die Portion ziemlich klein und der Kartoffelsalat hat geschmeckt wie fertig gekauft. Dafür gehe ich nicht in ei Restaurant. Schade. Werde so bald nicht mehr da essen.

Five of us stopped by the self-service area for an afternoon rest during our motorcycle tour. We were able to park near the hut, so the motorbikes were safe. The view was fantastic, and the food and atmosphere were actually very good. The price/performance ratio was good.

We had a drink here, which was good. We didn't eat here, so I can't comment on that. This beer garden/restaurant with a terrace is located at the highest point in Saarland. You have a beautiful view of the surrounding area from here.

The food is typical of an alpine pasture, with huge portions. Friendly staff.

We were invited to a wedding here. The view is breathtaking and perfect for photos. The view from the side room reserved for us was also perfect, and we had a bit of privacy away from the business. The value for money was absolutely excellent, and special praise goes to the young waitress. She was friendly, always present, but never intrusive. That's how a celebration should be. Highly recommended.

Beautiful alpine hut, friendly service, delicious, hearty food, and a fittingly rustic atmosphere. All in all, the concert was superbly executed. The outdoor area is spacious, with a playground and adjacent beer garden. Perfect for parents and children. Ample, free parking just below the hut.

A very beautiful mountain with a tower at the top that offers a beautiful view. It only costs €1. The Schaumbergalm hut right next door offers good, plentiful food and drinks. Although a bit dated, it's still very beautiful up here.

For the first and last time. We waited an hour, but the appetizers were forgotten. They didn't clear away empty glasses or ask for new drinks. The main course was lukewarm, the dumpling was overcooked, the sauce was so-so, and the sauerkraut tasted very sweet. It's a shame, actually, it's a lovely location and the staff is friendly.

Even though the store was busy, everything went smoothly. Ordering, drinks, food, payment. The food was of the usual very good quality.

I wasn't in the alm... I was mountain biking there... but the scenery and the view there are amazing

The food was good. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was like being on vacation.

The food is rather carelessly presented and of okay quality, but you can tell it's a large kitchen and that many convenience products are used. There's little homemade food here. The ambiance takes some getting used to (they try to imitate an alpine pasture, but it has little to do with a real hut). The prices are too high for the overall package. A shame.

The Schaumberg Alm is highly recommended. Its cozy atmosphere and excellent food are truly deserved. It earns five stars.

Alles in allem ein schönes Erlebnis. Urige Einrichtung trifft auf saarländische deutsche Küche. Ich hatte das Schweineschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Bedienungen schnell und aufmerksam.
