Sauber, gemütlich, rustikal - mit einem aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service, sehr flexibler und schneller Küche - ideal für Wandergruppen oder Radfahrer. Keine Sterneküche, aber einfache, sehr leckere Gerichte. Gerne wieder !

Essen war sehr gut und frisch zubereitet.

Ein uriges Restaurant in sehr schöner Lage. Unser Essen (Steak...) sowie der Nachtisch (Apfelstrudel...) waren richtig gut. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider ist Kartenzahlung nicht möglich (sollte man hier vielleicht mal angeben). Im Außenbereich ist Selbstbedienung, wir waren aber in dem Restaurant.

Waren heute hier essen.warum soll dieses Gasthaus das wahrscheinlich bekannteste Gasthaus der Welt sein? Wegen des Essens bestimmt nicht!! vielleicht wegen dem nicht vorhandenen Service,wenn man draußen sitzt . Oder ist es vielleicht weil man sich das Essen selbst abholen muss wenn man draußen sitzt und dafür den gleichen Preis bezahlt wie wir ,die drinnen gegessen haben und bedient würden. Ich habe bestellt das Champignon - Rahmschnitzel mit dem Hausgemachten BERÜHMTEN Mühlendressings . Was macht eine sauren Essig Sahnesoße so berühmt? Das bekommt man in jedem Discounter in der Flasche. Dann das Schnitzel! Ich habe mir das Raumschnitzel bestellt. Ein Raumschnitzel wird so beschrieben. Rahmsauce ist eine cremige, klassische Sauce der deutschen Küche, die durch die Zugabe von Sahne oder Rahm verfeinert wird.Ich hatte eine braune Soße auf dem Teller,also weit weg von Sahnesoße.Bei der Beanstandung: Das ist bei uns so.! Wenn ich das nächste Mal beim Metzger eine Blutwurst bestelle und bekomme eine Leberwurst ,sagt der Metzger,das ist bei uns eine Blutwurst. Habe noch Bilder gemacht ,aber es ist Müßig über so ein Essen noch mehr zu schreiben und die Bilder ins Internet zu stellen.Leute macht euch selbst einen Eindruck von dem Laden, dem berühmten Gasthaus.Mit unserem Kegelverein werden wir uns eine nicht so berühmte Lokalität aussuchen.gut Holz.

Wir kehren regelmäßig beim Wandern oder Radfahren ein und genießen die Atmosphäre im Biergarten dort.

Waren heute Mittag zum Kaffee trinken dort. Haben noch nie so schlechten Kuchen gegessen. Für dass man sich die Sachen selbst holen muss also keine Bedingung viel zu teuer.Nie wieder.Habe mich beschwert u man wird nur blöd angeschaut

Wir waren zu zweit Ostersonntag nach 4 Jahren mal wieder dort, nachdem ein Inhaberwechsel statt gefunden hatte und haben das Ostermenü "Zanderfilet mit Kräutergarnelen" bestellt. Es war das schlechteste Gastronomieerlebnis das wir je hatten, weshalb ich zum ersten Mal eine Rezession schreibe, da weder während des gesamten Aufenthalts noch beim Bezahlen einmal nachgefragt wurde, ob alles in Ordnung war usw. Nach 20 Min. kam die Spargelcremesuppe mit zähen Coutons und Tütensuppe verlängert, war im Vergleich zum Folgenden so eben noch ok. Nach einer geschlagenen halben Stunde ohne weiter beachtet zu werden kam ein Teller, den man nicht mal in einer schlechten Kantine bekommen würde. Ein Häufchen trockene Spagetti mit einem Hauch Zitronengeschmack, 4 Garnelen mit grünem Sprenkeln und 2 Zanderfiletchen, alles komplett Geschmacksneutral. Einzig der Garpunkt vom Filet war i.O. Alles ohne Garnitur oder in irgendeiner Form hergerichtet. Einfach alles ungewürzt auf den Teller geklatscht und fertig. Das Menü war zwar mit 30 € günstig aber dann wurde hier an der falschen Stelke gespart.. Nach einer weiteren halben Stunde bin ich zur Theke u. fragte nach dem Nachtisch. "Ja sind 2 Bällchen Eis, welche Sorten hätten Sie denn dann gerne, es gibt Schocko, Vanillle und Erdbeer?" Statt einen fertigen Nactisch oder anzubieten, dass sie zum Tisch kommen haben, sie mich zu meiner Mutter hin und zurück gehen lassen, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen... Da sie aus der Gastro kommt u. mein Vater Koch war, konnten wir nur noch mit dem Kopf schütteln... Der Laden ist gemütlich klein und es war zwar ausgebucht aber es waren mindestens 5 Mitarbeiter da. Diese waren allerdings nicht eingeteilt, so dass jeder alles was gerade anfiel gemacht hat in der Küche oder draußen, ohne Konzept. So waren wir über 2 Stunden dort und es wurde nicht einmal nachgefragt, ob wir noch etwas zu trinken haben wollen (ist ja eher schlecht für den Umsatz). Das à la Cartes- Essen sah besser aus und eher überprportioniert im Kontrast dazu. Aber genauso lieblos angerichtet, ob es schmeckt kann ich nicht sagen. Bleibt aber zu hoffen, dass das Essen besser ist. So war es leider ein rundum misslungenes Osteressen. Wir nahmen es mit einer einer Art humorvollem Ärgernis hin und haben beschlossen die Adams Mühle in Zukunft zu meiden. Wäre ein Fall für Rosins Restaurants, wenn es so weiter ginge... Selten etwas unprofessionelleres erlebt und wir sind eher tolerant und verständnisvoll unterwegs..

Wir waren gegen 11.30 Uhr vor Ort und wurden ein wenig unfreundlich darauf hin gewiesen, dass erst ab 12 Uhr Essen angeboten wird. Nachdem wir uns ein bisschen die Füße vertreten hatten, betraten wir erneut das Lokal gegen 12 Uhr und mussten feststellen, dass ein anderer Gast bereits gegessen hatte. Die Tortellini, die wir bestellen wollten, waren ausverkauft. Der Salat war nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht herausragend. In dem Lokal war es jedoch so unangenehm kalt, dass mehrere Gäste in ihren Jacken dort saßen. Die Bedienung war nicht gerade die Freundlichkeit in Person. Das einzig Positive war der vernünftige Preis der Gerichte. Wir haben beschlossen, dieses Lokal in Zukunft nicht mehr zu besuchen.

Haben zu viert im Restaurant zu Mittag gegessen. Das Essen war hervorragend, die Bedienung zwar etwas unelegant aber freundlich. Die Käsespätzle und das Hirschragout sind hervorragend und nur zu empfehlen! Außerdem alles sehr preiswert.

Wir waren am WE das erste Mal da .. Sehr urig und gemütlich sehr toll.. Das Essen nicht ganz so der Burner .. Man war mal da und gut .. Bedienung sehr ahnungslos ...

Wir waren gestern mit der Fam. zum Frühstück dort, wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Was soll ich sagen, es war sehr reichlich und lecker, der Tisch war sehr schön und reichlich eingedeckt, im Preis war schon alles ein begegriffen auch verschiedene Eierspeisen, Cafe und sogar ein Sekt od. Orangensaft. Ich kann das Frühstück nur empfehlen.

Wir waren am 21.Oktober mit 5 Personen zum Mittagessen dort angemeldet.Außer uns waren noch 2 Personen anwesend.In dem Lokal war es bitter kalt.Bei dem Versuch,die Heizung höher zu drehen,stellten wir fest,dass sie nicht an war.Die Bedienung sagte uns,dass die "Morgengruppe" nicht kam,was dazu führe,dass das Lokal kalt geblieben ist. Für uns ein Grund,dieses Lokal in Zukunft zu meiden.

The food there was very good, the ambience was a bit too decorated for my taste.

We were last there 7 years ago. The food and atmosphere were excellent back then. Unfortunately, none of that remains. We don't mind that the beer garden is self-service. But the tables weren't clean and the menus were dirty. The highlight, however, was the food itself. Leaf lettuce, some of which was already rotten, but with an extra dose of ready-made white sauce, so that the entire salad was already soaked. Well, at least you couldn't spot the rotten leaves right away. The potatoes were convenience food, completely covered in ready-made seasoning and inedible. The cucumber slices on the plate were dried out, and the Maggi bottle had mold on it. Very unappetizing. And then you paid a hefty price for it. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN, unless there's another change of ownership.

Nice ambiance, but unfortunately disappointing: Signs everywhere saying self-service, cash payment, and no dogs allowed inside – it feels more unfriendly than inviting. Card payments are not accepted, only cash. My wheat beer was poured from several glasses together because the keg was empty – very unprofessional. Overall, a not a positive experience.

Actually beautifully situated in the forest, but it's self-service in the courtyard, which means you have to order your drinks and food in the inn and take it with you, but then charging 4.90 for a Franziskaner wheat beer and 5.20 for a Bennediktiner is pretty steep, that's around 100 euros for a case, and the iced tea is served from large bottles, 0.4 liters for 4 euros, that's not acceptable at all.

Yes, I can definitely recommend it.

Charging €4.90 for a wheat beer that you have to get yourself is outrageous. A whole case of Fransiskaner usually costs around €20.

I give breakfast a 10. Everything's there. Sausage, ham, cheese, eggs, jam, fruit. Coffee galore. Not even €16. Very attentive service. I'll be back.

We had breakfast on Saturday. It was very plentiful and varied. We didn't lack anything. Every special request was immediately fulfilled. For the price of €15, it's unimaginable. Very friendly and attentive service. A very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended. We'd be happy to go back anytime.

I ate there with my wife today. We were so impressed by the place that you felt like you were on vacation. The food and service were excellent. The roulades were amazing, the snowballs were fantastic, just like your mom's. It's definitely worth the trip; Saarland can be so beautiful. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Actually, I wouldn't even give it a star. You have to get your own food and drinks. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. Even though it started to rain heavily, I had to drink my wheat beer outside with my dog. It's really sad, considering so many hikers and cyclists stop here for a break. It's not good advertising. Why the hiking trail is called the Tafeltour (Table Tour) is a mystery to me.

The service was absolutely terrible. We sat outside. We had to bring the food out ourselves. As for the food...the salad dressing was terrible...the fries were hard...the steak was like a shoe sole. We also brought the dishes back in ourselves. We had to pay in advance because we sat outside. I gave an 8 euro tip...for what? If my wife hadn't stopped me...I was about to ask if I should or had to wash the dishes myself after eating.

A superb location, a great outdoor area, and a solid kitchen. The service takes a bit of getting used to, but with lots of 'love'. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

Not convincing!! The schnitzel had an industrial feel, probably convenience food. The sauce tasted strongly of a ready-made product. The fries were okay at best. The service was rather unfriendly, no smiles, nothing. Cash only – that seems a bit strange in 2025. Overall, disappointing value for money. I won't be visiting this place again.

It's a real shame about this truly beautifully situated country inn. We arrived after hiking, looking forward to a delicious meal, and were very disappointed. I had a salad that was not only unsightly but also unappetizing. Everything was just smashed onto a plate and that was it. Not to mention the schnitzels my two friends had on their plates. The sauce was mush, and the schnitzels were frozen. We sent back the glasses for our ordered wheat beer. They were truly "dirty"... Not to mention the dirt on the tables. A sign stuck to the table with a wide piece of sticky tape was completely dirty. It's a real shame for such a beautiful place. They could definitely make everything more loving and clean.

We went there today for coffee and cake. The coffee was good, but the cake was a ready-made cake from Coppenrath & Wiese...well, I can make that at home.

We were there on Mother's Day. Service was okay. All in all, it would have been a good restaurant visit. When the side salad arrived, my sister was already surprised by the grainy sauce. I had the large chicken salad. I hadn't even eaten half of it when I found a small slug on my plate. That can happen from time to time, no problem. However, I didn't want to eat any more of this salad. The waitress came and took the plate away without offering a replacement or asking if I wanted something else. Everyone else was eating, and I hadn't even finished halfway through. So far, so good. What was outrageous was that they only wanted to give me €2 off the price, even though I was going back. Unfortunately, I discovered the slug too late, they told me, because I had already eaten. Sorry that the slug didn't wave off my plate right at the beginning. In our opinion, the salad wasn't washed because it was very grainy, which we also pointed out. That's not how you treat customers. In the end, I only had to pay 11.90 out of the 19.90. But that's rude and not customer-friendly. They won't see us again.

There was no service as there was a tiny farmers market. Wouldn't have been bad, but there was mold floating in my iced tea that I didn't immediately see. Since I was thirsty and drank quickly, I just put something in my mouth. There was more floating at the bottom of the glass. According to counter force, something always settles. I refused a replacement drink... There was no money back...

A really very nice and cozy country inn. I discovered it for the first time on a hike and the snacks on offer have convinced me to eat dinner there a few times so far. And I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The food is really delicious and you can't complain about the prices either. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and you feel very comfortable there. I'd love to come by more often.

Was a regular customer, was now back in the restaurant and had ordered a Schnitzel Berthold. Portion was smaller than ever, 5 mm thin Schnitzel at the bottom, very black at the top, very dark, everything was covered with sauce and mushrooms, it tasted totally burnt, dry and tough, at first no response to a complaint, then to it responded, whether I wanted a new one, no thanks to pay, ignored, I had to ask three times, I wanted to pay, well, I didn't have to pay for my meal, but the pork cheek wasn't as usual, not recommended, never again, these tenants have to learn a lot With only six warm dishes on the menu, I had the Schnitzel Berthold. The waitress actually asked me is it a steak or schnitzel even the waitress doesn't know what she is serving, sad but true

First time and last time here...waited 45 minutes for a salad! When we asked, our food came straight to the table, which was served very carelessly by the older waitress...without cutlery!!!! After all, we should go get them ourselves!!!!!!!! Normally I still post pictures with my reviews... I should do them myself!

It could be very nice there. Unfortunately everything was very careless, no floral decorations on the windows, flower pots and bowls not planted, only weeds. Broken chairs are out of the question, tables are scratched and sticky. For a self-service restaurant, prices are like those in a posh restaurant.

Well, I wouldn't go here again. Children got their food 20 minutes before us and were already finished when we got our adult food. For dessert the children wanted ice cream, half of which was not available at all. Too bad Addendum: 1. I'm actually interested in whether they serve over 340 meals, they have a menu where you can order as a guest. And if things or food are not in stock, you could tell a guest in advance and not let them order first and it won't be there at all. 2. What they are saying here makes no sense at all. So the children eat first, especially small children have finished eating and want to get out and not stay at the table, so there was no talk of quiet here. 3. Even the table next door complained loudly that they couldn't get any food, let alone place an order. 4. If you have a lot to do, maybe you should consider hiring more people and not pass your anger on paying customers. 5. Customers like me pay their living expenses, I think they should think better about how they treat customers! 6. If you can't take criticism, you're clearly in the wrong industry. They dragged their inn through the mud themselves with their written statement. After all, you confirmed what I wrote up here.

Three people were there on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024. It was hot and just right after visiting Tholey Abbey! First impression: Large umbrellas, lots of shade, cozy, rustic courtyard. Very relaxed atmosphere. A small group on the other side of the courtyard was clearly enjoying their company. You pick up the drinks inside, the food is brought to the table outside, but you can also order it inside. It's totally fine and fits the uncomplicated atmosphere! Urpils tastes good in the early afternoon, but then quickly goes to our heads, so we ordered a cheese bread, which we had cut into "Müffelchen". We were very surprised - what was quite suitable for 3 people is actually the portion for one person. Handsome. We will come again! Nice hosts, nice place. Just go there!

Really a shame! The location could be a gold mine...but it's very carelessly designed: if you sit outside, you have to order the food inside and pay directly. The menus are dirty. The tables are anything but clean and the area itself is not well maintained. The meat was really tough, the fries were left behind because they were soggy and cold (there were 4 of us)…

Idyllic small country inn with a beautiful beer garden and historic mill. Very good home cooked food. Beautiful, quiet surroundings, also perfect for hiking tours.

Ambience is cozy and quaint. Unfortunately we couldn't judge the food because we left hungry again after an hour and a half. The obviously overwhelmed staff misplaced our order. Fortunately, the nearby pizza machine was able to provide a quick and tasty solution. Handmade pizzas hot to eat straight away or cold to warm up at home.

What a beautiful location! Really tasty German food at reasonable prices. Large portions. Fast and friendly service. Please note: only cash payment possible. Small tip: 1 vegetarian option on the menu would be desirable. Now there are only 2 options (although they are delicious, I heard from my vegetarian table companions)

The country inn is particularly well located for hikers and cyclists. The interior is quaint - rustic and the beer garden (partly self-service) invites you to linger in the warm season. The food is ok, not everything is homemade and the convenience portion is large and tasty. With the spicy Heinz, the sausage was delicious, the baked potato slices still have room for improvement, as did the Schnitzel Berthold (frozen), where we were actually hoping for more mushrooms and flavor in the sauce. The drinks menu is good and the price is absolutely right. The cake looks delicious and really homemade. Friendly and prompt service

I didn't stop here either, but it's still a good place to spend some time.

I discovered the inn on the internet on a short trip. The chicken on Friday and then the football opening game on screen were great ☺️ Without further ado, we went back for lunch the next day. Very nicely located and beer garden in a rustic courtyard. The service was very friendly and helpful. Drinks and food came quickly and were reasonably priced. We once had Wiener Schnitzel with side dishes and once we had Schnitzel with a large salad. Salad wasn't bad, but it consisted largely of arugula, which neither of us really like. But the kitchen couldn't know that. The fries were good. The schnitzels very dry. Overall, the seasoning could be better, but that's a matter of taste. The portions are plentiful. All in all, no revelation. Recommended for something to drink, but there are better alternatives for eating.

We wanted to eat cake and asked for it. This was denied, there was no one left (later the next table suddenly had some🤔). Then we were talked into an apple strudel, which unfortunately we had to look for on the plate 👀 the piece was so small... and we were skillfully ignored

The latte cup was only half full and no sugar was added. Cake partially frozen because it was frozen.

We had reserved a table and we were the admitted guests! Since it was so cold we had to put on our jackets and of course the food got cold very quickly. But when we came, we weren't even sitting down and were already asked what we wanted to drink. We felt like we should leave quickly. The schnitzel was good, the salad tasted like ready-made sauce.

It's a shame if you know it from before. Cold location (unheated), waitress comes to the table in a thick down vest, food only mediocre, we were the only guests on a Sunday evening. 😏

Wunderschöner Biergarten direkt am Wanderweg. Im Biergarten ist Selbstbedienung. Zum Draußen Essen war es abends schon zu kalt. In die Gaststätte rein durften wir weil wir einen Hund dabei hatten. Daher kann ich nur Biergarten Ambiente und Getränke bewerten und da gab es nichts zu meckern.

車で行くのは微妙にややこし買ったですが、店内の雰囲気も可愛く、ご飯も美味しかったです。

Wir haben Samstag ( gestern ) dort meinen Geburtstag gefeiert, wurden sehr zuvorkommend und flott mit Getränken und sehr gutem Essen versorgt. Getränke f. den Biergarten bestellt man an der Theke, sie werden an den Tisch gebracht Die Portionen waren groß und schön angerichtet. Sogar ein hübsches Blumenarrangement für das Geburtstagskind war auf dem Tisch. Das hat mich sehr gefreut. Für das nächste größere Fest haben die Kinder schon reserviert. Die Kleinen waren die ganze Zeit in der entdeckungsreichen schönen Mühle + an der Quelle unterwegs. ( Ersatzstrümpfe oder Gummistiefel hilfreich) Die Umgebung rund um die alte historische Mühle fand ich idyllisch u. schön gelegen. Reservierung sinnvoll. Es war für mich ein Urlaubstag. Essen nichts besonderes, schöner Biergarten

WORIN LIEGT BITTESCHÖN DAS PROBLEM, KEINE SELBSTGEMACHTE SALATSOSSE ZU SERVIEREN??? Ich kapiere, das nicht. Bratkartoffeln sind auch Fertigprodukt. Sowas ärgert mich total. Nettes Ambiente und satt waren wir.

Eigentlich romantisch wegen akutem Personalmangel leider sehr eingeschränkter Service. Verständlich.

Leider keine Hausmannskost, sondern z. B. trockenes Schnitzelfleisch mit bröckeliger Panade , geschmacklose Pommes Frites und schlichte Convenience-Kartoffelscheibchen als Beilage zum "Scharfen Heinz". Nettes Ambiente draußen, aber die Küche ist Nix zum Vorzeigen, sondern schadet dem ansonsten guten Gastro-Ruf des Saarlands. Auf jeden Fall war's das erst mal für uns mit weiteren Besuchen in der Adams-Mühle.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit außergewöhnlichem Ambiente. Nette Bewirtung und gutes Essen (auch im Biergarten ) und anschließend kann die jahrhunderte alte Mühle kostenlos besichtigt werden. Sehr empfehlenswert...

Wir waren heute seit langem mal wieder hier Essen Kann die Negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen Aber jeder hat einen anderen Geschmack. Uns hat es gut geschmeckt Wir werden auch noch mal wieder kommen!

Leckeres Essen im Biergarten im Ambiente der historischen Mühle. Die Kinder fandens toll, wie waren satt und es war wirklich sehr lecker. Da bestelle ich auch gern an der Theke, wenn derzeit kein Personal zur Verfügung steht. Alles kam sehr flott! Danke!

Wir dachten, wir gehen heute einfach nur zum Landgasthof, essen und wieder nach Hause. Doch es kommt manchmal anders als man denkt. Das Essen war super lecker,die Preise sind sehr angemessen/passend. Die Wirtsleute haben uns ganz unverhofft zu dem genialsten Abend unseres Urlaubes verholfen. Wir waren in Partylaune,was die beiden so lieb aufgreifen haben. Sie waren offen und haben sich voll und ganz auf uns eingelassen. Diskomusik, Lichteffekte und Nebel sind nur ein Teil von den Sachen, die diesen gemeinsamen und fröhlichen Ausklang kennzeichneten.

Nur Barzahlung. Draußen auf der Terrasse ist Selbstbedienung, man bestellt Getränke und Essen an der Theke (Tischnummer merken!), nimmt die Getränke mit an den Tisch und das Essen wird dann gebracht. Alles ist sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Premium-Wanderweg "Offizierspfad" und hat praktischerweise den ganzen Tag geöffnet.
