We were also guests today on the occasion of Valentine's Day. It was romantically decorated and the special card was perfectly coordinated. The service and the food made it a successful evening for us. Thanks to the rocking horse team Today was another highlight... Although I'm there regularly, today it was big league again. I can simply recommend it.

We were there on February 22nd. with 3 people in a rocking horse...but you should book a table in advance. We received friendly service, the food was very good and the prices were within the normal range.

I was a guest here on November 1st, 2024. Due to the bridge day for our Brandenburg neighbors, the restaurant was very busy. However, thanks to our reservation we got a spot. Due to the long waiting time, we were served a greeting from the kitchen. What is noticeable is that the staff is trained, which made the visit a pleasure across the board. Therefore a very clear recommendation from me.

Now I can reveal it: I picked up my goose menu yesterday, and today... um, so delicious 😋 Update 11/10/21: Here we go again, picture of the perfect goose provided by the owner. Summer 2020: All seats and even the added seats were occupied and the service was great, thank you. I had the best Königsberger Klopse ever and I would like to say a big thank you 👍

Very great restaurant with top facilities, typical Berlin flair. The food was really great and tasted really good. Unfortunately, Viennese veal schnitzel is too thick. The goose and the sauce were great, red cabbage tasted very good, a bit soft, bread dumplings would have been very good instead of the dumplings 😉 The other dishes were rated very well by the others. The taste of the chocolate cake was really very good, unfortunately the chocolate center was not liquid, the cake should have been warm 😉 I can highly recommend this restaurant, great food, good drinks and a big shout out to the staff who sweetened our evening with their charm and wit 🥰

A dying gastronomy. Delicious, homemade and old German food in a damn great atmosphere. The service is fantastic and professional. The price is a bit higher, but it's definitely worth it.

Ob mit Freunden oder in Familie, alle waren hier mit dem Essen super zufrieden, der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend, das Restaurant ist super sauber und gepflegt . Wer hier etwas anderes schreibt, hat es sich schlichtweg ausgedacht . Alle von diesen Menschen haben nur diese eine ( extrem negativen )Bewertung geschrieben. Da ist doch was faul . Leute , geht ins Schaukelpferd und überzeugt Euch selbst !

Unfortunately, all restaurateurs suffer from a lack of staff. Here, despite everything, you make the best of it. Great food at fair prices and an absolutely friendly staff that knows what they're doing. Simply order a Sambuca after your meal and be surprised how it is celebrated. Have fun

Well, esteemed rocking horse team, yesterday I visited you again - with new guests...approx. We've known each other for 20 years - I've never written about you before. I know the history of the place - but as a neighbor, I know it too well. In short - from entering to leaving it was once again a "cermony" - greeting, selection of food, serving, consumption, aftertaste...everything was accompanied - this time by Sir Adrian...but the entire service team also has a certain level of competence, Politeness, humor & individual life. Being able to enjoy it as a guest is a certain kind of luxury...upscale price range - yes, but prepared with heart and love by the chef, served with warm words, always with a quick saying if necessary - that is the gastronomy of today - how I like them. All I can say is - my guests & I enjoyed it again - Sabine & Silvio including the team - keep it up...restaurants don't grow out of the ground these days...postnote: and innkeepers can (have to) smile too ) times - to have a bad day, that's human. Until my next visit, smiling- IRON!

When we eat German, we always go to the Rocking Horse. Great, relaxed family atmosphere and the food is super tasty with a great price-performance ratio.

Drove by spontaneously because of the good reviews. My own experience is rather average. The terrace outside is right on the street and the regular bus isn't exactly quiet. Service was quite okay. But the food was pretty average. The fries were clearly not enough and in a decent restaurant you don't put packets of mayo and ketchup on the table for guests to serve themselves. Price and performance do not match here. PS: Why did you delete your comment? Here again for you and all guests how the owner deals with criticism: "We can't do anything for the bus and we don't have a hardware store schnitzel for €7.50, which is subsidized. So please continue to order where it comes from the deep fryer."

The tone of the staff is extremely charming and sporty, the food selection is clear and sufficient, the portions are generous and tasty! The decor encourages happiness, so the restaurant is ideal for small and large groups! But you can also find cozy corners for two. And now I've finally tried it with a larger round. We were magically looked after and lovingly advised. The food, including dessert and drinks, was excellent. Thanks to the fantastic care, things got even better. Everyone in our group was thrilled without exception!

Eines der unsaubersten Restaurants. Hier ist es nötig zu Putzen bei den Sitzen hat man Angst das man sich etwas einfängt.Unangenehm vom Flair und negativen gerüchen. Mitarbeiter ungepflegt haben am Ostern schön ein mit getrunken so lässt es sich es Arbeiten wen das man überhaupt Arbeiten nennen kann.

Wir gingen zum Restaurant wegen der Posetiven Bewertung. Es war ein Enttäuschung. Die Gerichte waren in Ordnung aber kein Wiederholungs bedarf. Die Atmosphäre war sehr maskulin angehaucht für Familien ist es nicht empfehlenswert. Die Mitarbeiter haben ständig Annäherungsversuche getätigt. Der Kellner mit Hellbraunen Haaren hatte kein halt. Man versucht ein gemütlichen Abend zugestalten dabei kommt so etwas raus. Man wird auch von den Google-Bewertung getäuscht. Alle negativen Kommentare werden Ständig gelöscht somit kann man nicht objektiv sich eine Meinung bilden.

We were at the rocking horse last night and can only agree with the other reviews. For the price you really can't complain. The home-style food was not only filling, but also very tasty and the friendly service never took long to arrive. I'm only giving 4 stars to the food, service and atmosphere subsections because I've heard the team's great motivation and I believe there's still some room for improvement in all areas.

The portions are completely filling and super tasty!! We always feel completely comfortable and look forward to visiting each time. The service is also courteous and appreciative. A real recommendation for top-class German cuisine for every Berliner who doesn't live in the area!

Reserved again at the Rocking Horse for Valentine's Day. A very beautifully designed room welcomed us, as did the table, beautifully set for the occasion, as every year. The card, written especially for this day and versatile. A greeting from the kitchen with olives, dried tomatoes in oil and a very delicate baguette. As a starter we had the roast beef rolls, really tasty, the onion soup and as main courses the chicken salbimboca and the steak our four. Unfortunately there wasn't enough room in the tummy for dessert. :-) Greetings to the junior boss, we'll be back, I promise! A little tip on the side: Maybe get some more elegant cutlery at the next opportunity. It will then fit better with the great ambience around it.

These days it is not so easy to enjoy good German cuisine. However, the Rocking Horse staff more than succeeded in achieving this. The sauerbraten was a tribute to the delicacy of good food. Zum heutigen Weihnachtsessen wurden sehr köstliche Gans, Lamm oder Fisch serviert. Auch für Vegetarier fanden sich wohlschmeckende Spinatknödel mit Pilzragout. Essen sehr gut, aufmerksamer Service und nettes Ambiente. Ein gelungener 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag.

Tolles deutsches Restaurant. Bin häufiger dort und hab bisher immer sehr gut gegessen. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Bitte mehr vegane und/oder vegetarische Gerichte anbieten. Komme aber gerne wieder.

Wir waren als große Gruppe Weihnachtsgans essen. Es hab keine ganzen Gänse. Jeder musste zwischen Brust oder Keule wählen. Klöße und Beilagen gab es zum selber nehmen suf den Tisch. Es hat super geschmeckt. Brustkorb und Keule waren durch und genau richtig. Ich kann das Schaukelpferd jedem empfehlen der sehr gut "gutbürgerlich" Essen möchte. Es war ziemlich voll, also immer vorher nachfragen. Martin

Wir waren das erste Mal da. Wir waren so begeistert vom Ambiente, von der Bedienung, die auch Spaß an der Arbeit hat und das leckere Essen. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder.

Bei einer Trauerfeier mit über 20 Personen wurden wir liebevoll und herzlich vom Gaststättenehepaar empfangen. Das Essen und der selbstgebackene Kuchen ließen keine Wünsche offen. Auch die Gaststätteninhaberin, durch ihre zurückhaltende, freundliche Art war sehr wohltuend. Die trauernde Familie möchte sich herzlich bedanken. Die Gaststätte ist auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen!

Wir waren gestern mit 13 Personen im Schaukelpferd zur Weihnachtsfeier. Das Essen war absolut Spitze und der Service müsste 10 Sterne bekommen. Hier merkt man, dass das Restaurant sehr professionell und mit Liebe geführt wird. Es war sehr voll und trotzdem war der Service immer parat und aufmerksam.Es hat allen unseren Gästen sehr gefallen und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt . Wir kommen gerne wieder und ich möchte das Schaukelpferd uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Das Essen war überteuert für Tiefkühlkost ist es dreist. Das Ambiente ist veraltet, sehr ungemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten was den Abend erschweren. Beim Personal sollte Zurückhaltung groß geschrieben werden. Nicht jeder kann mit aufdringlichem Personal umgehen.

Weihnachtsessen mit der Firma. Es war so lecker, dass ich den Koch gedrückt habe...
