Chip shop with style. Very clean, friendly service. There are also hot dogs and burgers. The prices are reasonable and you can enjoy a small snack there.

We had ordered currywurst fries mayo because we were also passing through and quickly searched on Google for a snack bar that was open on a Sunday. The fries were cooked to perfection. The sausage comes, at least according to the notice, from a local butcher and the sauce should also be made in-house. And I believe that too, because both tasted different, different and delicious than the usual "cheap" standard. The sauce had a delicious, fruity taste and the sausage also had a great consistency and seasoning. If we come to the region again when we're hungry, we'll definitely stop by again.

In my opinion 4.1 stars are not justified. I clearly see 5 stars. The ambience: really modern, mixed with a diner feel. The service: The service was chatty, relaxed, very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely nothing to complain about. And the best thing for last: the food! Great quality. I'm sad that I live 300km away and can't come regularly. We saw the schnitzel on offer from outside and thought, yeah, there are also fries and currywurst - the usual. But quite the opposite. The fries special tasted like they were in Holland, the manta plate was great and the hot dog special couldn't be compared with anything. He was with a Frikandel, a dream. The card offered so many options that we would have liked to test the other things. The homemade potato salad and a Jägerschnitzel went home with us. Super!

The Manta Platter is fine and tastes as expected. But it's not much different from other snack bars. Personally, the fries are too thin for me and are therefore always very crispy.

At first you think, “Oh, how nice the snack bar is. But when I was served, for God's sake, how can you be so listless and the food knocked me off my chair, not because it was that good, it absolutely didn't taste good. The currywurst has nothing to do with a currywurst. They just put ketchup on it, a little bit of curry and that's it and then they paid so much money for so much rubbish. No, never again!

The currywurst is still as good as it used to be, but the amount of sauce has been cut a lot.

I took something there a few days ago for around €30. Was served listlessly on a Sunday. How can it be that bratwursts are packaged burnt and fries without salt are given without a bag. Customer friendly? Why is that ? The pensioner behind the counter doesn't work at all

This is my personal opinion: By far the worst snack bar I've ever eaten at. Unfortunately... I had a manta plate, the curry sauce or whatever it was was not enjoyable. The bratwurst had a strange aftertaste. I then ordered nuggets because I thought you couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately I thought wrong :-( Oh, I don’t even want to start about the hot dog. But there is something positive to report, the fries were delicious 👌 But make your own impression. Sorry that I can't rate it any other way.

Well, I've been there since my childhood (Pelkumer Jung). But currently only there every now and then. I noticed (like today, December 10th, 2023) how the friendliness of the staff is steadily decreasing. I think it's a shame, but today it didn't work at all (just after 12 p.m.). Food was just typical Schanzenbach, which I think is perfectly fine... BUT why are there such massive differences to Pelkum, Bockum Hövel and Werler Straße??? As a (light) regular customer, I haven't figured that out yet.

Nettes Personal, schnelle Bearbeitung der Bestellung. Es sah dort auf dem ersten Blick sauber aus. Das Essen war lecker, die Auswahl ausgefallener als die Klassische Pommesbude.

Essen gut, Bedienung freundlich, besonders die schöne schlanke mit den blonden Haaren 😉

Wir sind schon seit vielen Jahren hier Kunde. Die hähnchen, frisch gegrillt, super Der Kartoffelsalat ist selbstgemacht. Eigentlich ist alles ok, aber...... bei den Baconburger ist immer zu viel Soße drauf. Die kann man nicht unfallfrei essen.

Schöne Lokation.Freundliche Bedienung. Was ich persönlich spitze finde sind die selbstgemachten Saucen.Fleisch kommt seid jahrzehnten vom " Hausmetzger" und das schmekt man.Ab und zu kann man es sich gönnen.

Ich fahre extra von Bergkamen nach Pelkum weil es eben lecker ist.

Currywurst und Pommes waren gut, Schnitzel mit hausgemachter Försterrahmsoße nicht. Das Schnitzel war zäh und mit Fett durchwachsen. In der Rahmsoße waren genau vier kleine Scheiben Champignons aus dem Glas. Die Bedienung war nicht sonderlich motiviert und sehr kurz angebunden.

Das Essen war gut. Die Bedienung von Nachmittag könnte freundlicher sein.

Schmeckt super gut und vor allem die Currysouce. Es lohnt sich jedesmal dort einen zwischen stop einzulegen,wenn man daran vorbei fährt.

War immer begeistert aber die letzten 2 Male habe ich eine aufgewärmte vertrocknete Wurst bekommen. Komplett ungenießbar. Schade

Wir waren wieder in Hamm und haben bei Schanzenbach gegessen. Die Mantaplatte ist super! Die Pommes super knusprig und die hauseigene Currysoße ist unschlagbar. Wir lieben sie!!!

Schanzenbach-ein Imbiss der sich enorm zum Vorteil verändert hat. Pommes, Currywurst und vieles anderes was man in einer guten Pommesbude erwartet ist hier zu bekommen. Sehr zu empfehlen
