Great food—nothing to complain about. The prices are reasonable. In terms of quality, this is one of the better Italian restaurants in Hanover. But: How difficult can it possibly be to arrive in a century that's already been going on for 25 years?! The restaurant set up an online shop for pickups, but was constantly overwhelmed with its use, so you almost always had to call afterward. (I know, internet and technology and all... new territory.) Meanwhile, they seem to have abandoned the online shop altogether—but they haven't even considered deactivating the shop or—if that's too difficult—taking the website offline. Orders are still being accepted, the money is being collected, but the orders aren't being processed. Instead of apologizing for their own continued incompetence, they're accused, between the lines, of even using the online shop. This can, of course, also distract from the fact that, even in 2025, you, as a service provider, will still be too incompetent to set up a website and use its features. Overall, the little old man (whoever that is; probably the owner) would benefit from a little less arrogance anyway. I have no idea for the life of me why he's so pompous and affected on a regular basis. :)

Very good food, short wait times. Friendly service, mostly clean. Non-alcoholic drinks such as Crodino Spriz and San Bitterino are available. A good selection of dishes, from inexpensive to more sophisticated, is available at reasonable prices.

It was so fresh, delicious, and the staff was very friendly. We'd love to come back.

We were a group of six who went for the cheese-based pasta and were not disappointed. For starters, the three of us shared a pizza, which I thought was perfect—very fluffy crust, very thin base, and plenty of aromatic tomato sauce (if you don't like a lot of sauce, please let us know). The pasta was al dente (if you prefer it more cooked, please let us know). For dessert, we had both classic tiramisu and seasonal strawberry tiramisu (without coffee), which was delicious and also something for non-coffee drinkers. We'd be happy to come back for special occasions.

We went there with our family for the first time this weekend. The pasta was delicious, but I think €8 extra for four small scampi is a bit excessive. The portions could have been a bit larger. The pizza was okay, and so was the service. There are better, but also worse, Italian restaurants in Hanover.

The food was quite good, but unfortunately the unfriendly service left a very negative impression. It's a shame.

Food was edible, but nothing more. The quantity was such that we (3 people, 2 women, 1 man) were just about full... it definitely shouldn't have been less, otherwise we would have left the restaurant hungry. We had 3 different waitresses, all 3 (men) were, let's say carefully, "grumpy", not to say "unfriendly". We had reserved 1 table and then got one outside on the terrace when the evening temperature was 10 degrees. Although the terrace was covered with a camping tarpaulin and there were 2 gas heater stands, there was still a strong draft from the street side through the lower tarpaulin. Although there were blankets, our feet got so cold that the rest of our bodies were frozen after eating. All in all, we definitely won't be eating here again. No recommendation from our side. 1 star for the unfriendly service, as 0 stars cannot be selected.

Me and my friend had dinner there for my birthday. We ordered a simple pizza and a plate of pasta. We waited over 1 hour for our food. This can happen, but then you should offer an appetizer as a service since you wait so long. The cherry on top, however, was that there was something very hard inside the pizza that looked like fish bones. It got stuck in my throat and made me cough hard. When we asked the waiter about it, he claimed that they were dried onions from the oven. We told him very clearly that this was not true. When he brought us the bill, we asked what was going on with the pizza and he got upset and said, don't you want to pay for the pizza. It wasn't a matter of not paying for the pizza, but rather that the service staff simply reacted very poorly and said that if we had told them straight away, we would have supposedly gotten a new pizza. We did this too. We let them know straight away, we weren't offered a new pizza or anything else. We actually wanted to eat dessert and drink cocktails but we quickly gave up. Very disrespectful service is really not possible, which is a shame because the food was actually good.

Good pizza but the price for a bottle of wine is extremely exorbitant: 60 euros!! Far from worth the price.

We trusted the reviews and were not disappointed. It feels like being in Italy. Family run, everyone is very kind. We took 2 delicious cuts that melted in your mouth, a white focaccia and a truffle tagliatelle, wine and desserts.

We were there as part of a large birthday party, so I can only give a limited assessment of the price/performance ratio. There was antipasti beforehand and later a pizza buffet with a choice of three pizzas. Without exception, everything was really delicious. We tried a bit of everything and the quality was consistently very good. Looking at the menu we would guess that the prices are reasonable. The staff was friendly, attentive and responded promptly to requests and drink orders despite the number of guests. The furnishings are a nice mix of modern, neutral tables and chairs, as well as Mediterranean wall decorations, including pictures of former Italian actors. There is more indirect or dimmed warm lighting, which we found to be sufficient and cozy. The restaurant is very easy to reach by public transport, but if you come by car you have to go to the neighboring residential areas. All in all, we would recommend this restaurant and have already planned another private visit.

Leider war unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant eine große Enttäuschung. Trotz unserer Reservierung wurde uns beim Ankommen mitgeteilt, dass wir nur zwei Stunden bleiben könnten – eine Information, die uns im Voraus nicht mitgeteilt wurde. Der Service ließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig: Die Bedienung war unaufmerksam und wenig freundlich. Als Vorspeise bestellten wir dazu war Brot, doch dieses war alles andere als frisch. Es wirkte, als sei es vom Vortag und die ganze Nacht im Kühlschrank gelegen – hart und trocken. Aufgrund der zeitlichen Begrenzung konnten wir den Hauptgang gar nicht mehr bestellen, da uns schlicht die Zeit fehlte. Wir verließen das Restaurant enttäuscht und hungrig. Insgesamt war es eine unangenehme Erfahrung, die wir leider nicht weiterempfehlen können.

Delicious Italian food in a cozy atmosphere. Pasta made from a parmesan wheel is prepared directly at the table and is super delicious! Unfortunately the pasta doesn't seem to be fresh and homemade, otherwise great.

Restaurant was very busy! We had reserved and were still allowed to wait 15 minutes. Rooms are nice, but very cramped and it was extremely warm... Waiter was curt but friendly. The most important thing: food. The food wasn't great, especially not and didn't convince three people with a lot of restaurant experience. It wasn't spicy nor flavorful. The meat of the deer ragout was super tender, but the pizza buffalo mozzarella and tonno were not convincing at all. The women's toilets were damaged and missing toilet seats etc. Card payment only possible at the exit.

We had the best team night! The food was of outstanding quality and the service was really attentive (even though the restaurant was full to capacity)! One thing is for sure...it certainly won't be the last time we're here! See you soon!

That was the second worst pizza of my life. I ordered a vegan one with tomatoes and garlic. What came next was a pancake, but no pizza. The edge was crispy like fresh bread. But after 2 cm everything was as thin and flabby (almost raw) as a pancake. The tomato sauce floated on top. I told the waiter. He said Neapolitan pizza was like that. And anyway, you would eat them with your fingers and not with a knife and fork. That was all. I ate the crust (with a knife and fork) and dipped that crust into the tomato sauce. There was no other way to eat it. It was like dipping fresh bread in tomato sauce. I then folded the middle and left it on the plate - too raw and limp to eat any of it. When another waiter asked me if everything was okay while clearing up, I also told him how sorry I was. He also reiterated that it was an authentic Neapolitan pizza. God knows, I've also eaten pizza in Naples. If it had tasted like what was served to me here under the pseudonym “Pizza”, then I would never have eaten pizza again in my life! This was an undercooked pancake with tomato sauce and bread.

Never seen a “restaurant” like this, if you can even call it that. We ordered penne with tomato sauce (since he mentioned that he didn't have any cream sauce) and scampi from the gentleman with the white hair (probably the owner), it was specifically mentioned that nothing else should be included (e.g. tomatoes, onions or anything else) . After 30 minutes of waiting, the gentleman brought us the pasta, neither penne nor any sauce, so it was completely dry and there was also garlic in it, although we had requested that there be nothing of the sort. We still thought we'd give it a try, maybe it'll still taste good. When I tried it, both portions were not completely cooked through and were still 50% hard and, as mentioned, completely dry with no taste. The Lord prepared noodles for us according to his own thoughts as he wanted. When the problem was addressed, the owner looked slightly annoyed but still offered to redo it. Unfortunately, since we didn't have time to wait another 30 minutes, and the gentleman couldn't offer us what we ordered anyway because he let us prepare something according to our own mood and thoughts, we decided not to eat there any further. I then went to the owner and mentioned that we didn't have that time. He then wanted me to pay for the drinks, even though no sip was taken from them. I said no and he got loud, and my son came over and wanted me to pay the entire bill. Both of them became very loud and disrespectful in the restaurant, so that everyone in the restaurant noticed. The son initially wanted to call the police because I wasn't paying for something I hadn't eaten or drunk, so I told him to do that. After a few minutes the owner said that we should leave and not pay anything. On the terrace he then became loud and insulting and made racist statements, even though he knew neither my origins nor me in any way. I really can't recommend this restaurant to anyone, the owner prepares orders according to his mood and then becomes disrespectful.

A wonderful Italian restaurant with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The staff puts you in a good mood with lots of jokes and makes you feel at home straight away. My personal highlight was the truffle tagliatelle – an absolute delight! The truffle dip with it was the perfect complement. I'll definitely be back!

Addendum to the answer from the owner: You're probably confusing me. I wasn't angry right from the start, but rather pleased to get a table outside (for two) without booking in advance. And I wasn't even there on a Friday. The pizza was freshly prepared and tasted okay. The edge was crispy, but unfortunately so soggy in the middle that it was not possible to eat the slice of pizza folded a little by hand in the classic Italian way. The bruschetta starter consisted of exactly one slice of white bread and tasted just average. Reason for ultimately only two stars: The service is really inadequate. While she waited, the waitress stood close behind me, leaning on the back of my chair. Even though I turned around, irritated, it took a look from my companion to get the waitress to position himself differently. The Sarti Spritzz was way too sweet. I said this straight away and asked that the mixing ratio be changed because I couldn't drink it like that. I then stretched it with water, but it didn't help. So my companion and I each ordered a Prosecco to save the aperitif. When we paid we were told that the Spritzz at Sapori were not made the classic way but with Sprite instead of soda. I'm sorry, what?! I pointed out that I had ordered a classic Spritzz according to the declaration on the display and not one with Sprite, which I would never have ordered. Instead of apologizing and not charging for the aperitif, they responded to my statement that at least a discount would be given for it by saying that water was not cheaper than Sprite and that there was no discount. Although you would have to change that on the display, you would do it here with Sprite, after all the owner could decide freely. Yes, he can. If it is listed accordingly on the display. Von außen eher unscheinbar liegt das Sapporo Italiani an der Hildesheimer Straße zwischen den Haltestellen Fiedler Straße und Einer Straße. Eine gute Erreichbarkeit mit allen Verkehrsmitteln ist also gegeben. Beim Auto ist jedoch die Parkplatzsituation im Umfeld zu beachten. Meine Vorspeise, Bruschettone di Parma, war zusätzlich mit Feigenmarmelade bestrichen. Ungewöhnlich aber durchaus lecker und zu empfehlen. Bei der Hauptspeise habe ich zwei meiner kleinen Leidenschaften, Pizza und Fußball, miteinander verbunden. Die von mir bestellte Pizza trägt den Namen Maradonna, wohl wissend das der ehemalige Fußballer nur ein “n” im Namen trägt . Zum Abschluss habe ich mir noch einen Expresse (leider ohne Bild) und eine Tiramisu bestellt. Beides war, wie alle Gerichte unserer Gruppe an dem Abend, sehr gut und lecker. Der Service war aufmerksam und zügig. Wenn das alles so gut geschmeckt hat, warum gibt es keine volle Punktzahl. Das Ambiente, in diesem Fall die Enge und die Lautstärke im Laden, haben mir nicht gefallen. Wem das nichts ausmacht der trifft mit einem Besuch im Sapori Italiani eine sehr gute Wahl.
